    It’s “Wife”!

    “Baby, honey, wife…”

Jiang Jinyi was teased by Jiang Youwan until she was too flustered to speak, her eyes still glistening—she had cried earlier when they received their marriage certificates.

Jiang Youwan looked at her like this and suddenly found her, found her so adorable. If she cried a little harder, would she be even more adorable?

She really wanted to see. Now that Jiang Jinyi was hers, of course she could look whenever she wanted.

This wicked thought planted a seed in Jiang Youwan’s heart. She concealed the mischief in her eyes with a tender smile, sliding her hand from covering Jinyi’s mouth down to her chin, leaning close to her ear, she said in a doting tone: “Jiejie told you—once you got through last night, Jiejie would only ever dote on Xiao Jin…”

Jiang Jinyi had indeed been stifled. Perhaps she hadn’t noticed before because she was too nervous, but the truth was, her gland that had been uncomfortable all night became active again the moment she laid eyes on Jiang Youwan.

Now, teased by Jiang Youwan’s casual touches, it grew even more urgent and stimulated.

It was the excitement of a long-awaited reunion between pheromones.

As though Jiang Youwan were the true owner of the hyacinth scent, the true master of her pheromones, able to control them at will.

“Xiao Jin is mine. Every inch of Xiao Jin’s body is mine. Xiao Jin’s pheromones are for me alone to smell, and I’ll kiss Xiao Jin wherever I want to kiss Xiao Jin.”

“Even Xiao Jin herself isn’t allowed to refuse.”

“If you refuse, your wife will be angry.”

Jiang Jinyi was kissed again, thinking dizzily: Jiang Youwan is so domineering. How could she be this domineering? It’s only the first day of their marriage and she’s already like this—wouldn’t it be…

Wouldn’t she be controlled by her every day from now on? If she said east, she absolutely couldn’t go west.

Was Jiang Youwan’s “doting on you” really just the literal meaning?

Her future life with her… Jiang Jinyi felt both anticipation and fear for no reason.

Both of them had already shed their heavy coats. Before her eyes, the qipao perfectly showcased Jiang Youwan’s graceful, curvaceous figure—flawless to the point that not a single fault could be found.

Jiang Youwan wore a qipao with such captivating elegance—gentle and refined. If not for her seductive gaze lingering with intense romantic tension1 at this moment, Jiang Jinyi would have mistaken her for a great family’s eldest daughter from the Republican era—steeped in literary refinement since childhood, poised and graceful, proper and well-mannered.

The type who, as her partner, would softly scold you just for wanting a kiss.

But that was only surface appearance. Jiang Youwan was not that kind of person at all.

The qipao had been rolled to her waist, and she was still wearing that set—the same one Jiang Jinyi had seen last night.

    Mysterious and sexy.

The marriage photo staff didn’t know. The driver didn’t know. Jiang Youwan’s employees didn’t know. None of the countless people who admired her, adored her, pursued her, and wanted to be with her knew she would wear this kind of thing.

Nor did they know that this ruthless, elegant, aloof woman—who had money, looks, and everything she could ever want—actually had someone she wanted to treat gently, had things she wanted but couldn’t obtain.

That in private, she would rack her brains and use every method possible to seduce her own family’s Second Miss.

Of all people, she had to fall for Jiang Jinyi. Jiang Jinyi was like a dazzling sun—no matter where she went, she could be the center of attention. The people who pursued her, who would love her, were countless.

And so, starting five years ago, she had schemed to monopolize her.

Whether during amnesia or after recovering her memories, she had been seducing with everything she had.

Jiang Jinyi’s eyes, Jiang Jinyi’s heart—both monopolized by her.

    Belonging entirely to her.

Bound to her for a lifetime, never able to escape again.

Losing her mind and losing control over her for a lifetime…

“Jiejie, jiejie… don’t be like this, don’t be so impulsive…”

For some reason, Jiang Jinyi’s sweet, soft voice carried a hint of a crying tone. Perhaps it was because she was finally getting what she wished for and was too happy, or perhaps it was because several young people had suddenly stopped outside the car. They seemed to be waiting for someone, but out of curiosity about the luxury car, their gazes lingered on the vehicle as they looked it over.

Even though she knew that people outside couldn’t see a single thing inside the car, Jiang Jinyi was still flushed crimson by the visual impact, so ashamed that she began to cry.

She instinctively pleaded with Jiang Youwan not to do this, entirely forgetting that she was actually an Alpha—if an Omega wanted to do something to her, she could completely stop it.

But in front of Jiang Youwan, her ability to resist was virtually nonexistent. She cried, only daring to sob softly, not daring to be loud—terrified that someone outside might notice, might detect something unusual, might discover that she was being bullied.

Jiang Youwan stroked the top of her hair, kissing her while letting her cry.

    “Baby, honey, wife—so adorable.”

    “I love you, baby…”

Jiang Youwan was somewhat incoherent, cycling through various intimate terms of endearment. She turned to look at her crying face, praised her for being adorable, praised her for being amazing, praised her as the most adorable Alpha in the entire world.

Jinyi’s eyes were reddened by the heat. This contrast in Jiang Youwan—visible only to her—burned her cheeks red and stole her words. Gradually, she stopped caring about shame or embarrassment, following her heart instead.

As long as Jiang Youwan was there, as long as she belonged to Jiang Youwan, and Jiang Youwan belonged to her.

She wanted to mark—her Omega, her exclusive Omega.

Sniffling, Jiang Jinyi embraced Jiang Youwan from behind, breathing in her pheromones so intense they seemed to overflow the car, her gaze growing even more entranced.

First a kiss, then the lightest touch of her teeth, then a pierce—in an instant, a massive surge of pheromones poured in.

It had been too long since Jiang Youwan was last marked. Her body was unfamiliar with the sensation and instinctively recoiled in fear—but the fear lasted only a moment.

Her mind went blank, mouth opening in a nearly uncontrollable scream. Fortunately, Jiang Jinyi covered it in time, so no one outside was alerted.

Jiang Youwan’s eyes couldn’t help rolling back, tears streaming from the corners of her eyes.

    “Jiejie…”

Jiang Youwan’s loss of composure made Jiang Jinyi feel guilty. Even though she knew Youwan would love it, she kept wondering if she’d gone a bit too far.

Behind her came Jinyi’s crying voice, while with her mouth covered, as the pheromones poured in, Jiang Youwan’s pupils dilated and scattered—like an animal bitten into submission, losing consciousness and the ability to resist. Her rigid body went limp, collapsing weakly backward, caught and held in Jiang Jinyi’s arms.

Jinyi’s hand protected her slightly rounded belly, anxiously asking if she was uncomfortable, if anything felt wrong.

Even though she hadn’t done anything wrong, Jinyi held her and apologized.

But an Omega freshly marked was so alluring it could steal one’s soul. Even while apologizing, she couldn’t help but continue.

Jiang Youwan was like a rag doll, completely powerless, letting herself be treated however Jinyi wished.

The datura and hyacinth scents were overwhelmingly strong. While marking her, Jinyi worried they might seep outside and be smelled by the people out there.

When the marking was complete once more, Jinyi kissed and sniffed along her body, detecting nothing but her own scent all over Youwan. Only then was her heart satisfied. She held her close with aching tenderness, whispering her love: “Jiejie, jiejie… I love you.”

    “Jiejie, I love you…”

Jiang Youwan adored it when she expressed her love. No matter how many times she heard “I love you,” it was never enough.

Though she didn’t have much strength to respond right now.

She simply let herself be held, her fox-like eyes narrowing—looking utterly like a sated fox—savoring the afterglow of their long-awaited reunion.

She liked this so much… she savored this moment, because it had truly been so hard-won.

“Huh? Do you smell something? It smells like pheromones—so good. Where’s it coming from?”

“Did you forget? I’m a Beta—how would I smell any pheromones? Let’s go, we’ll be late!”

“But it really smells so good…”

Listening to the voices fading into the distance, Jinyi’s tense expression finally relaxed. She opened the partition between the back seat and the driver’s seat, straightened her clothes, picked up the coat, and covered Jiang Youwan completely. Using Jiang Youwan’s phone, she called the driver back. The car started—not heading to the office, but driving to Jiang Youwan’s flat.

Jiang Youwan lay on the seat, pillowed on Jinyi’s legs. Jinyi wiped the sweat from her face, telling her to rest well.

She saw the way Jinyi looked at her—full of both heartache and contentment.

Jiang Youwan’s lips curved into a pleased smile. But after resting her head for only a moment, recovering a little strength, she tried to turn over and push herself up.

“Jiejie?” Jinyi quickly steadied her. Jiang Youwan grabbed Jinyi’s arm, straddled her, wrapped her arms around her waist, and nestled into the crook of her neck, pressing tightly against her—she just wanted to be pressed against her.

“Don’t let go of me.” Even her voice had gone boneless and soft, stripped of all its usual authority.

Limp and floppy, like a half-asleep fox.

Jinyi would certainly comply. She didn’t want to let go of jiejie at all. She said softly, “I just wanted to let jiejie rest more comfortably…”

Jiang Youwan suddenly laughed softly, breathing warm words into her ear. “Who was it that cried while marking just now? How are you still this cute? But… Jiejie really did love it…”

Jinyi looked away, murmuring in a tiny voice, “As long as Jiejie liked it…”

Jiang Youwan’s tone carried mock reproach. “I think you liked it even more.”

Jinyi blinked, stammering without a word—completely unable to refute it.

    She did like it.

She loved the feeling of marking…

She loved Jiang Youwan so much…

She held Jiang Youwan tighter, burying her face in her neck, saying nothing more.

How could Jiang Youwan not feel her smugness? None of Jinyi’s little thoughts could ever be hidden from her. She nuzzled against her neck, a glint of amusement flashing in her eyes.

Let her have her way this once. From now on, she could dote on her however she pleased.

Could bully her however she pleased.

After all, no matter how badly she was bullied, Jiang Jinyi would absolutely never run away again.

The car soon entered the residential complex and stopped in the underground parking garage. Jinyi carried Jiang Youwan into the elevator.

She had slept very late last night and woken up so early this morning. After her shower, Jiang Youwan fell asleep instantly, pillowed in Jinyi’s arms, not wanting to move a single finger.

But she still had the strength to hold onto Jinyi, mumbling that she wasn’t allowed to leave, along with many heart-fluttering, blush-inducing sweet nothings.

These half-asleep, half-awake murmurs coming from Jiang Youwan were such a stark contrast—truly endearing, making one want to hold her and never let go.

Jinyi’s protective instincts swelled. Though she badly wanted to look at the marriage certificates and snap a photo to show off on her social media feed, she didn’t move. She held her, watching her face, reluctant to fall asleep.

This wasn’t her first time sleeping in Jiang Youwan’s bed. Back when she was pursuing Youwan, she had always shamelessly schemed to get into her bed.

    Every excuse, every pretext.

Many times, Jiang Youwan would step out of the shower to find someone lying on her bed. When asked why she was there, Jinyi would say she was warming the bed2 for jiejie.

Once the bed was warmed, she’d scoot over from the warm spot but still not get down. Before Youwan could chase her off, she’d change the subject, chatting about this and that until Youwan got drowsy, until she forgot she was supposed to kick her out—and then they’d sleep together.

Sometimes when Youwan refused to indulge her, she’d actually make her get down. Then she’d droop her brows, looking pitiful and wronged, and slowly climb out of bed.

Then she’d settle for making a pallet on the floor beside Youwan’s bed, making Youwan feel bad enough to call her back up—or waiting until Youwan fell asleep before sneaking back up.

In short, she’d find every possible way to squeeze onto that bed, to sleep with her.

But now it was different. She could openly and justifiably share Jiang Youwan’s bed. Jiang Youwan’s bed was her bed.

Jiang Youwan’s pillow was her pillow.

Even Jiang Youwan was her wife.

    Wife!

    Not jiejie, not girlfriend—wife!

The smile on Jinyi’s face couldn’t be suppressed at all. Holding her wife, she drifted into dreamland.

In her dreams, of course, it was still her wife.

    …

The sun set in the west, the clouds at the horizon burned red, and golden light fell across two intimately entwined bodies on the bed. On the blanket below the bed, a cat lay sleeping—cozy, tranquil, and beautiful.

Jiang Youwan was the first to open her eyes. What she saw was darkness, but she could feel the warmth and the scent. She was in Jinyi’s arms.

Jinyi held her as she slept—this feeling was truly intoxicating.

She shifted back a little, and her vision gradually cleared. She saw Jinyi’s shoulder and collarbone, marked with her kiss traces.

Jiang Youwan slowly pushed herself up from Jinyi’s arms, looking down at her through lowered lashes.

Jinyi breathed softly, her lowered lashes like little fans. Because she was sleeping on her side, her pink lips were slightly pouted—very cute, very good.

How could there be such a good, such a cute girl?

Who would have thought that this cute meimei would bite so fiercely in the car?

    Like a feline—just a little kitten…

Only after finishing the mark did she learn to carefully ask whether it would hurt the baby.

Jiang Youwan chuckled softly, tapping Jinyi’s slightly pouted lips with her finger, tucking her own hair behind her ear, and leaning down to kiss her. She took Jinyi’s lips for a while, but she didn’t wake. So Youwan went further, deepening the kiss on her sleeping partner.

When they parted, both their lips were wet and glistening, requiring parted lips to breathe—but Jinyi still didn’t wake, sleeping incredibly deeply.

“Baby’s sleeping so soundly…” Jiang Youwan murmured, looking at her. “Is she dreaming, I wonder?”

“What would she be dreaming about?”

A glint of playfulness flashed in Jiang Youwan’s eyes. She shifted upward, reaching out to cradle Jinyi’s head and draw her into her arms.

When Jinyi finally woke completely from Jiang Youwan’s embrace, it was nearly evening. She glanced at the window, then at Jiang Youwan, wanting to kiss her sleeping jiejie—but then remembered they hadn’t eaten yet.

Sleeping all the way until now without eating—would the baby in jiejie’s tummy be hungry? Would it be troubling jiejie?

At this thought, Jinyi hurried out of bed to cook.
