The Amnesiac Omega Who Reels Me In Every Day – Chapter 76
by Little PandaCan’t Leave Her
Possessiveness
Jiang Jinyi’s eyes were glazed and unfocused. She raised a hand to touch her face, and when it hit her, she slammed the phone off. Before she could let loose a string of curses, she caught her own reflection in the black screen — hair a tangled mess, her face covered in red marks, the shape of lips, unmistakable at a glance.
Lip prints. The kind left by deliberately applying lipstick first and then pressing down.
“…”
The truth was, last night, Jiang Jinyi had found herself a perfectly good excuse for surrendering to desire.
She would knock that bad woman out, gain control over her, have her in the palm of her hand, and then find evidence of her crimes.
Thinking like that had put her mind at ease. She had gone all out tormenting her — but never expected that she would be the one to lose consciousness in the end.
Catching the faint trace of milk scent still lingering on her breath, Jiang Jinyi scrubbed it away furiously and hurled the phone onto the bed. It clattered to the floor.
To Jiang Jinyi, it was a colossal humiliation — as if her dignity had been pinched between Jiang Youwan’s fingers, trampled and tormented bit by bit.
That smug smile of hers — it was as if she were provoking her, mocking her, in that same lazy, unhurried tone.
In total control. High above, perfectly at ease.
While she herself could only be held in the palm of her hand. This sense of degradation nearly drove Jiang Jinyi out of her mind.
“Shameless…”
“Despicable, vulgar, disgusting…”
Jiang Jinyi muttered curses under her breath and threw off the covers. Jiang Youwan was no longer in the room — it was empty. Jiang Jinyi tried the door; it was unlocked this time.
She pushed it open and returned to her own room. One look at herself in the mirror was blinding enough that she couldn’t face it. She squeezed out facial cleanser and scrubbed it over her face and neck.
When she looked up again, the lip prints were gone — but the dark red hickeys wouldn’t wash away no matter what. All of them left by Jiang Youwan last night.
Why did she kiss her so many times? Was she sick? Oh right — she was sick to begin with.
Stamp after stamp, she had been marked so filthy…
Jiang Jinyi felt steeped in sin. She squeezed her eyes shut and turned away.
What frustrated her even more was that no matter how much she washed, no matter how many times she scrubbed her body, no matter how much body wash she lathered on or perfume she sprayed, Jiang Youwan’s scent on her would not come off. It was as strong as ever.
Her fair skin was rubbed raw, nearly peeling a layer — the scent had fused into her body. Nothing worked.
Jiang Jinyi had no choice but to wrap herself in a bath towel and step out to find fresh clothes. She opened her closet — only to find it empty.
She discovered that her clothes had all been moved into Jiang Youwan’s room.
She had been sharing a bed with Jiang Youwan for some time now.
Jiang Jinyi clenched her fists. A wave of bitterness rose in her chest — but more than that, it was the aggravation of having been deceived by Jiang Youwan and now seeing everything laid bare.
She had actually been so infatuated with a fraud. No — not just a fraud. She was unforgivable.
…
After getting dressed, Jiang Jinyi stood in the second-floor hallway and looked down. As far as she could see, not a single servant in sight, no sign of Jiang Youwan either — the villa was empty, as if she were the only one there.
For a fleeting moment, she had the illusion that Jiang Youwan had stopped caring about her — that she could go wherever she pleased.
Jiang Jinyi’s heart raced. The desire to escape drove her to quicken her pace toward the door. Without bothering to look around, she pushed open the villa’s front doors — effortlessly.
The villa district was quiet in the morning. The November air carried a chill. Before her lay the family courtyard — just as it had always been, filled with the flowers she used to love most. The sycamore tree’s leaves had turned golden, scattering across the ground. The stone table, the rocking chair — an indescribable, quiet beauty.
Jiang Jinyi’s gaze lingered. Her steps faltered for a moment — then she kept walking, headed to the garage, and picked a car to drive away in.
No one stopped her. Neither did Jiang Youwan.
But the very second she fully left the Jiang Family Villa, Jiang Jinyi’s body produced a familiar sensation.
An intense, overwhelming urge to go back.
She understood almost instantly what it was.
Pheromone dependency.
After completing a marking with Jiang Youwan before, she wouldn’t want to leave her for days — would want to cling to her, would develop an intense possessiveness toward her.
Sometimes she would even get jealous of the servants, turning spoiled, sensitive, and domineering.
This was every alpha’s instinct — an enormous possessiveness toward the omega they had marked, an inability to let them out of their sight. Out of sight, they would grow anxious, restless, desperately craving their omega’s pheromones.
Last night they had marked so many times, and the pheromone fusion between them was so high — this feeling hit far harder than usual.
What if Jiang Youwan acted that loose with someone else while she was gone? What if she seduced others the same way she had seduced her…
Jiang Jinyi couldn’t stop thinking like this. A nameless rage burned inside her with nowhere to go.
She gripped the steering wheel, fighting to overcome the sensation. A glance in the rearview mirror caught the sycamore tree planted in their courtyard.
The sycamore tree’s leaves turning golden — for Jiang Jinyi, that belonged to a memory very, very far away.
When she was little, she loved painting in this courtyard.
This sycamore tree — her mother had planted it with her own hands the year Jinyi turned one.
Jiang Jinyi slammed the brakes. Suddenly she had a perfectly legitimate reason to go back. This was her home. The one who should get out was Jiang Youwan…
She turned the car around and headed back, repeating to herself like a mantra: it wasn’t because she was addicted to Jiang Youwan’s pheromones that she couldn’t leave. This was simply her home.
Her mother had left it to her. Why should she let a thief like Jiang Youwan reap the benefits?
She was the one who should leave.
Jiang Jinyi had been gone less than five minutes before she returned.
She pushed open the door. Without even realizing it, her steps carried a certain urgency. Not knowing where to go, her feet drifted involuntarily toward the place where the datura scent was strongest.
She ended up in the kitchen.
Jiang Youwan was in the kitchen, head bowed, making breakfast.
Today she wore a navy blue Qipao with an apron tied over it. Her makeup was light, her long hair pinned up with a hairpin. Loose strands and bangs fell forward as she tilted her head, the corners of her mouth slightly curved, her expression gentle.
Finishing the last task at hand, she heard the crisp chiming of bells and turned her head toward Jiang Jinyi. No surprise on her face — the frenzied intensity from last night had vanished. She spoke, gentle and doting: “Xiao Jin is so good — went out to play and knew to come home.”
“Come have breakfast. All your favorites. Very nourishing for the body.”
Right now she was the very picture of an elegant, refined wife.
Jiang Jinyi’s expression was fierce. She knew what Jiang Youwan was thinking. She knew Jiang Youwan was laughing at her.
She said coldly, “This is my home. Of course I’m coming back. What I want to know is — when are you getting out?”
“Xiao Jin is saying angry things again.”
Jiang Youwan wasn’t irritated. She only used that helpless tone — making Jiang Jinyi feel as if she really were just throwing a senseless tantrum. She hated that feeling. It was like she was performing a one-woman show.
Like a clown.
“You plan to squat in my house forever and never leave?” Jiang Jinyi mocked. “Living here — can you really sleep well?”
Jiang Youwan picked up a plate and smiled. “Mmm… last night I didn’t sleep very well, actually. A certain Clingy One kept pressing up against me, wrapping herself around me — wouldn’t even let me change positions.”
Jiang Jinyi’s face darkened. Jiang Youwan set two plates down on the dining table at a leisurely pace, then turned to look at her, completely at ease. “If Xiao Jin really wants me to leave, that’s fine too.”
She braced her hands against the table behind her and smiled. “Just curious, though — would a certain Clingy One follow me there?”
As if her guilty conscience had been poked, Jiang Jinyi’s composure cracked for an instant. She immediately froze her expression, cold as ice.
Jiang Youwan caught it — found it adorable — and savored the moment, continuing to tease: “She’s really super clingy. Such an obedient Little Cutie — wears her collar so nicely, went out to play for less than five minutes before running back to find her owner. Can’t bear to be apart at all.”
Jiang Youwan calculated with a show of troubled sincerity: “If I were to move out, I’d have to pack her things too. She’s still a Little Princess — can’t do anything, only knows how to call out ‘jie—'”
Before Jiang Youwan could finish the last syllable, Jiang Jinyi couldn’t take it anymore. She lunged forward in one long stride, teeth gritted, pinning Jiang Youwan against the dining table in a dominating stance.
Jiang Youwan was hardly the one at a disadvantage — yet she still showed no trace of fear. Instead, she smiled and said softly, “The bells sound so cute~”
Humiliated and furious, Jiang Jinyi gnashed her teeth, fierce as could be. “Jiang Youwan, can you stop being so brazen?”
“Hmm? Xiao Jin forgot?” Jiang Youwan’s fox-like eyes narrowed slightly as she tilted her head up to look at her. “Xiao Jin promised jiejie. If you try to leave jiejie, and jiejie catches you again — all of this is what you promised jiejie. Forgot all of it?”
Jiang Youwan’s voice dropped lower, losing its gentleness, carrying a note of warning. “Or does jiejie really need to give you a beating before you’ll behave?”
The memories of that night flooded Jiang Jinyi’s mind. Humiliated and furious, she ground out each word: “Despicable, shameless — taking advantage of someone’s vulnerability!”
Jiang Youwan reached up and ruffled her hair, her tone soft and cloying. “Be good and stay by jiejie’s side. Everything else, jiejie will handle. Su Yi, Liang Wei, Wen Ye, and Huo Qi — everyone who ever bullied Xiao Jin, not a single one will get a good ending.”
Jiang Youwan murmured, eyes soft with obsession: “Today’s breakfast is especially delicious. The food is very nourishing — it also has the effect of accelerating the sensitive period. Xiao Jin, eat more, hurry up and completely mark jiejie, stay with jiejie forever. Wouldn’t that be nice?”
Jiang Jinyi couldn’t believe it. Her perception of Jiang Youwan was upended once again.
She said those things — was she trying to play the avenger, to get revenge for her?
Complete marking? Stay with her forever?
Jiang Jinyi laughed from sheer rage. “You’re the one who deserves to die!” With that, she swept all of Jiang Youwan’s carefully prepared breakfast off the table and onto the floor. “Don’t even think about it!”
“I think you really have gone mad…”
Jiang Youwan paid no heed to Jiang Jinyi’s words. She glanced at the mess on the floor, her eyes darkening slightly — but she wasn’t angry. Instead, she curved her lips into a smile, sat back on the dining table behind her, and reached around to untie her apron.
The apron slid off, and with it, the gentle, refined veneer fell away — underneath was a desire that couldn’t be contained.
It was Jiang Jinyi’s first time seeing this style of Qipao.
“It’s okay…”
Jiang Youwan cupped her face and murmured, “No matter how Xiao Jin scolds jiejie, it doesn’t matter. Jiejie loves you.”
