    Implanting the Chip

“Sure, jiejie will go with you.”

After sending the message to Huo Qi, Jinyi was about to turn off her phone when another notification popped up—from Ji Xiaoqin.

【Miss, once I finish up these next few days, the gallery won’t have much going on for a while. I’d like to take a day off in a few days.】

Jinyi suddenly remembered—she had already opened a gallery in Luo City.

Youwan had helped her pick the location. They had designed the interior together. And the gallery’s name had been finalized just a few days ago.

    Jinyou.

What a beautiful name. She had been so happy then—truly happy. She had felt life was full of hope, felt she was the happiest person in the world, wanted to be with jiejie1 forever.

Jinyi lingered in those memories for a while, until Ji Xiaoqin sent another message, the notification rousing her.

【If you have any other work for me to assign, Miss, I won’t take the day off.】

What work could there be? Jinyi even felt there was no need to keep the gallery running anymore.

She replied to Ji Xiaoqin: 【Nothing to do. Go ahead.】

Ji Xiaoqin replied instantly: 【Okay, thank you, Miss.】

Ji Xiaoqin still didn’t know her memories had returned. Neither did Xu An.

Jinyi had no intention of telling them, because they couldn’t help. They were no match for Youwan.

She didn’t want to drag them into this and cause unnecessary trouble.

It was all going to end soon anyway.

Jinyi glanced at the time in the top right corner of her phone—already ten in the morning.

Her stomach felt hollow, her head dizzy and heavy, her vision blurry. Having just made a major decision, her heart pounded as if it would leap from her chest.

    She felt awful all over.

    Wretched. Ruined.

She closed her eyes, groggily got to her feet, and went to wash up.

She went downstairs, wanting to get some fresh air in the courtyard. Passing through the living room, she saw that Youwan was cooking again.

She seemed to enjoy cooking. When she cooked, she always gave off the feeling of a wife.

Jinyi pinched her fingers, suppressing the desire in her body that wanted to draw close to her. Eyes lowered, expressionless, she opened the villa’s front door. A rush of cold air hit her immediately. Jinyi shivered—the dizziness and heaviness in her head eased somewhat from the shock, and her body felt lighter.

Still no servants today. The entire villa held only the two of them. This gave Jinyi an illusion.

    —Captivity.

Jinyi looked down at the collar still fastened around her neck. She really did look like a little pet kept in captivity.

She wasn’t chained up. Her freedom wasn’t restricted. It was like being the kind of pet that was deeply, deeply dependent on its owner—uninterested in the outside world, a well-behaved pet that would never leave even without a leash.

Jinyi knew she wasn’t like that.

She had an invisible thread around her, held in Youwan’s hand.

    It caused her agony.

Wearing nothing but a thin, slightly wrinkled and disheveled shirt, she sat on the rocking chair in the courtyard, fighting the desire inside her that wanted to rush back inside to be with Youwan.

She hadn’t been sitting for even two minutes before she already wanted to go back and be in the same room as Youwan.

“Xiao Jin.” A gentle voice came from behind her, followed by a coat draped over her shoulders. Youwan said, “It’s several degrees colder than yesterday. Winter came to Luo City so fast this year. Xiao Jin can’t catch a cold.”

Jinyi didn’t respond—as cold as when she had given her the silent treatment four years ago. Youwan had expected this, but was still made deeply uneasy by the premonition that she couldn’t keep Jinyi no matter what.

People were always greedy. Before, when Jinyi had left, she had thought it would be enough just to have Jinyi by her side—even if Jinyi hated her, even if she didn’t love her.

But now Jinyi was by her side, and she pushed for more, thinking: if only Jinyi could let go of the grudges, be with her properly, call her jiejie again, and willingly never leave her, that would be wonderful.

    What should she do?

Youwan lowered her eyes, gently pulling down the collar at the back of Jinyi’s neck, looking at the gland covered by the collar. Her gaze darkened. She coaxed softly, “Let’s go back and eat first, then come back out. Okay?”

Jinyi still didn’t make a sound.

Not speaking again. Not speaking no matter how she coaxed. Youwan pursed her lips, her brow furrowing, her voice not as gentle as before. “Ignoring jiejie again?”

    Jinyi still said nothing.

Jinyi was as stubborn as ever, and still knew exactly how to break her heart.

But the present Youwan was different from the old Youwan. She had plenty of ways to deal with disobedient little kids.

From somewhere, she produced a remote control. Youwan pressed a button gently. A sudden sting shot through the back of Jinyi’s neck, followed by high-frequency vibration. Caught off guard, Jinyi gasped, shot up from the rocking chair, and clutched the back of her neck.

She could feel it—it was this collar…

Jinyi stared at Youwan in shock. Youwan wasn’t surprised. She was the one controlling it—of course she wouldn’t be surprised.

    “You bastard!”

Youwan’s lips curved slightly. She leaned close and whispered by her ear, “If you don’t want every omega nearby drawn over by your pheromones, then come back inside with jiejie.”

With that, Youwan stepped back and smiled, extending her hand. Jinyi glared at her viciously, slapped her hand away, and ran back into the villa.

Youwan’s eyes shifted slightly. She walked back inside and closed the front door.

“Jiang Youwan, t-take this off me right now!” Jinyi’s brow was tightly furrowed. Bracing herself against the sofa, she spoke to Youwan with difficulty.

Youwan walked toward her slowly, her eyes holding a half-smile that revealed something sending chills down one’s spine.

“Is this how Xiao Jin asks jiejie for help?” Youwan said leisurely. Compared to Jinyi, she had the composure of someone in total control.

Suddenly, she dialed it up a level. Jinyi jolted, both hands grabbing at the collar, trying to tear it off. She collapsed weakly to her knees, calling Youwan a bastard, telling her to take it off. Her voice trembled slightly, but she was still fierce.

Youwan looked down at her from above. Her tone was no longer gentle—serious and sharp, allowing no refusal, no argument.

“You should be begging me right now, yet you’re still raising your voice at me. I’m very unhappy.”

    “So, punishment.”

Saying that, she held the remote before her eyes and pressed her fingertip without mercy to the highest setting.

    “Ngh…”

Jinyi’s breathing turned rapid. Panting heavily, about to be driven mad by the torment, she felt a powerful urge to bite her—but was too weak to get up.

Flushing red from her neck to her entire face, yet powerless to do anything—clearly being bullied.

    It was very stimulating.

This thing—a device couples used specifically to punish disobedient Alphas.

Youwan said nothing more, simply watching her from above, masterminding the situation.

It went without saying how sensitive an Alpha’s gland was. Being treated with such a mix of pain and pleasure could strip away an Alpha’s reason in the shortest time.

Especially for a delicate Alpha like Xiao Jin—she couldn’t take it for long.

Her eyes grew red, brimming with a thick layer of moisture. She could no longer curse at her, could only look at Youwan helplessly.

    She looked absolutely pitiful.

Seeing her like this, Youwan’s eyes couldn’t help but fill with tender affection. She bent down, ruffled her disheveled hair, and coaxed gently, “When you want jiejie to help, you have to be sweet and act spoiled like before. You can’t be so fierce, understand?”

“Mm…” Jinyi shook her head, having lost the ability to think. She grabbed her wrist like a lifeline and said in a thick, tearful, cloying voice, “Jiejie, jiejie, jiejie, help me…”

Jinyi had already forgotten that Youwan was the one who did this to her. She treated her as her savior.

Youwan’s eyes curved into crescents, genuinely charmed by her. Her mood improved greatly—but it wasn’t enough. She cupped her cheeks, as she used to when teasing her. “Give jiejie a kiss and jiejie will say yes.”

Jinyi’s tears were about to fall. Whimpering, she truly couldn’t bear this sensation. Her mind was a complete blank—she did whatever Youwan told her to do. She tilted her head up and kissed her.

Once again, Jinyi kissed her on her own initiative.

Youwan’s heart fluttered uncontrollably. She savored this feeling, giving her a little reward by lowering the setting. Tasting the relief, not as uncomfortable now, Jinyi kissed her even harder, trying to please her.

Youwan shared a deep kiss with her—kissed so passionately by her eager flattery that her legs went a bit weak. She said softly, “Enough,” and stepped back on her own. Jinyi hadn’t come to her senses yet, still wanting to chase after her lips, to please her.

She didn’t reach her. Only managed to lick her lips at the very end.

Eyes red, she watched Youwan pull away, her gaze somewhat dazed.

    “Good girl, let’s go eat.”

The setting had already been dialed to the lowest by Youwan. She hadn’t completely let her off—still needed to make her obedient.

Youwan brought the dishes to the coffee table one by one. Jinyi sat obediently on the sofa waiting, her eyes never leaving Youwan for a second. She was very impatient—her mind held only one thought: eat obediently and it would be over.

“Which one do you want first?” Youwan held a plate, asking what she wanted to eat—elegant and poised, alluring and seductive, gentle and attentive.

“That one, that one.” Jinyi was still panting, pointing at her favorite dish, her eyes eager. She wanted to eat quickly.

Youwan picked up a piece, catching it underneath with a small dish, and brought it to Jinyi’s mouth. Jinyi bit down like a starving kitten that hadn’t eaten in days.

The collar around her neck jingled. Cute.

Youwan fed her bite after bite, enjoying the process immensely. Jinyi hadn’t eaten properly in days. Tasting Youwan’s cooking again, she felt a sense of satisfaction, gradually starting to enjoy being fed. Dizzy and hazy, she no longer wanted the collar to stop so soon.

At this moment, she no longer felt pain.

She tugged at Youwan’s sleeve. “I want to eat neige2…”

“Okay~” Youwan laughed, giving her whatever she wanted.

Youwan picked up a piece of lamb and brought it to her mouth. This time, however, Jinyi didn’t eat it obediently. She turned her head away, mumbling, “Not eating this.”

“Why not?” Youwan was puzzled. “Doesn’t Xiao Jin love lamb?”

Jinyi didn’t think much about it and answered reflexively, “You’re allergic to it…”

She knew Youwan was allergic to lamb. She hadn’t eaten it since they got together, because she knew she might kiss jiejie at any moment.

She didn’t want to put jiejie in even the slightest danger.

Youwan froze for a moment, then realized what was happening. She understood what it meant. Her heart leaped with joy. She took the lamb away, truly wanting to kiss her right now.

She had now eaten roughly her usual amount. Youwan didn’t feed her more. She wiped her mouth with a tissue and nestled into the sofa with her. Jinyi was still being “tormented” by the collar, whimpering softly.

Following the principles of taming a beast, Youwan very faithfully stopped the device, praised her for being good today, and gave her a gentle reward.

The two of them cuddled together. This atmosphere was truly perfect for healing—as if they had returned to the past.

She turned her head, looking at Xiao Jin’s head, raised her hand and stroked it gently. She truly loved Jinyi like this.

What should she do? How could she keep her?

A dark and terrifying thought suddenly surfaced in her mind. Should she implant a chip in her brain? The program would be: in her eyes and heart, only jiejie. Smile at jiejie. Be good to jiejie. Make jiejie happy. Act spoiled and throw tantrums at jiejie.

A little fool who couldn’t think, who only listened to jiejie.

    How thrilling.

At this moment, Jinyi’s eyes were vacant, panting as she recovered. She knew Jinyi would snap out of it soon. She kissed her cheek and murmured softly, “Don’t leave jiejie. Stay by jiejie’s side like this forever.”

A plea that allowed no refusal.

“Mm…” Jinyi’s mind was still stuck in the previous moment, wanting to please her.

After agreeing, it took only a few seconds for her to snap out of the daze. She startled, her body stiffened, then she struggled quickly to get out of Youwan’s arms. “No!”

Youwan narrowed her eyes, pulling her tight, allowing no refusal. The depths of her eyes grew dark. She said in a low voice, “Always agreeing, always failing to follow through.”

Jinyi said, “You’re the one who’s always lying to me…”

Without all that coaxing, all those lies, how could she have fallen for her, agreed to those utterly absurd things?

Youwan was very domineering, dismissing all of this.

“I remember everything you once said. I have it all recorded, you know. Jiejie always keeps her word.”

“The cage is already being custom-made. If Xiao Jin really wants to test it…”

Pierced by the memories, Jinyi ground her teeth. “Bas—tard.”

“Be good. Jiejie will only love you well…”

    Love me?

    Ridiculous…

Jinyi felt so powerless again. Youwan kept saying she loved her, yet wouldn’t consider her feelings. Treating her like a pet, attempting to tame her, making her betray her last shred of conscience and endure immense suffering to be with her.

Was this really love? She only cared about herself. Only cared about not being able to let her go. Only cared about satisfying her own desire.

    Jinyi’s heart suddenly turned cold.

Jinyi stopped resisting. She stayed silent, held by her, yet the atmosphere was freezing.

Youwan thought she had returned to the cold war from before, and her mood sank along with it. She was forcefully thinking about how to discipline her again, when unexpectedly, after a long while, the person in her arms suddenly spoke again, in such a calm tone: “Jiang Youwan, I want to go out and have fun.”

Wanting to go out, telling her she wanted to go out—it meant she was slowly trying to accept her. Youwan’s heart leaped. Naturally, she indulged her. “Where do you want to go?”

“I want to go to Wushan, to pray at the temple there.”

    Wushan.

Hearing this name, Youwan blinked. Her smile seemed to freeze for a moment, then she smiled again quickly—but the smile was different from before.

Mixed with many complex, bitter emotions.

She lowered her eyes to look at her, long lashes concealing her expression. “Sure, jiejie will go with you.”
