The Amnesiac Omega Who Reels Me In Every Day – Chapter 16
by Little PandaSuch a Big Change
Bad Woman
It really didn’t hurt anymore.
Only a tingling numbness seeped from her arm through her entire body. The sudden flutter in her heart from being treated with such tenderness was truly intoxicating.
Exhaling a few times, Jiang Jinyi lowered her hand. “Don’t you have bodyguards around you? Stop letting crazy people get near you.”
“Okay~”
Jiang Jinyi looked at her as well, failing to notice the deep attachment hidden in her eyes, and said, “Jiang Youwan, I think you’ve changed so much.”
Jiang Youwan raised an eyebrow, asking curiously, “In what way does Xiao Jin think I’ve changed?”
In what way had she changed?
The Jiang Youwan in her memory was also beautiful, but compared to now, she had been much colder and more aloof. She hadn’t been this mature, nor had she exuded this much womanly charm.
She was the kind of woman one desperately wanted to marry and bring home as a wife, yet was also a little afraid of.
Jiang Jinyi thought for a long while before figuring out how to describe her: “You seem like that kind of bad woman now.”
Jiang Youwan arched an eyebrow, her long, narrow eyes half-narrowed as a hint of dark depth flashed in her gaze. She asked slowly, “What kind of bad woman?”
In that moment, Jiang Jinyi’s pupils dilated slightly. She felt an urge to shrink back.
Just then, in that fleeting instant, Jiang Youwan had looked like a ruthless villain who wouldn’t blink at murderβa vixen ready to devour someone alive.
S-so scary.
Jiang Jinyi stammered, “Justβ¦ that kind, the ruthless kind of bad woman.” She added, “You didn’t undergo secondary differentiation and become an alpha, did you?”
The aura and feeling Jiang Youwan gave off were incredibly similar to an alpha’sβa born leader, an elite, highly oppressive. Even her pheromones were like that.
Undergo secondary differentiation into an alpha?
She shook her head. “I did undergo secondary differentiation, but I differentiated into an SSS-class omega.”
An SSS-class omega?
Omegas were always more sensual. The higher the rank, the sexier the omega. Their bodily curves would be even more graceful and alluring. Like a vixen, they gave off the feeling that they were constantly radiating a seductive charm.
Jiang Jinyi understood. “No wonder you look so much like a vixen now.”
“A vixen?”
Jiang Youwan chuckled softly. “Xiao Jin is also an SS-class omega, so does that make Xiao Jin a little vixen?”
Jiang Jinyi was left speechless, puffing out her cheeks. “I’m not a vixen.”
How could she be a vixen? She definitely wasn’t a vixen.
“Not true,” Jiang Youwan murmured softly.
She truly wanted to make Jiang Jinyi look in the mirror to see if she was a vixen or not.
Over the four years they had been apart, Xiao Jin had grown up. Her peach-blossom eyes1 were increasingly bewitching, her red lips full and sensual, and her nose bridge sharp and perky. She was both innocent and seductive.
It made one want to swallow her up in a single bite.
Around eight or nine o’clock, Jiang Jinyi sat on the hospital bed, watching anime on Jiang Youwan’s iPad while Jiang Youwan took a change of clothes into the bathroom.
The sounds of the anime mingled with the sound of the shower’s spray, tranquil and beautiful.
Ten or so minutes later, Jiang Youwan emerged from the bathroom in her pajamas. Jiang Jinyi lifted her eyes to look over. Head tilted, Jiang Youwan was wiping her wet hair with a towel. Meeting her gaze, she offered a gentle smile to the girl watching her.
The pajamas were silk and very thin, the collar lazily left open, revealing delicate collarbones and the faint hint of cleavage.
Jiang Youwan’s figure was incredibly sexyβthe kind of slenderness that retained a fleshy softness, with a narrow waist and perky curves, lush and full.
Jiang Jinyi quickly turned her gaze back to the anime.
But in her heart, she couldn’t stop thinking: Jiang Youwan’s body is so hot.
She walked over to the vanity and plugged in the hairdryer, saying to Jiang Jinyi, “It might be a bit loud.”
Jiang Jinyi nodded. “There are subtitles.”
After about ten minutes, her hair was seventy or eighty percent dry. Jiang Youwan pulled the plug, put the hairdryer away, and walked step by step toward the bed, sitting down on it very naturally.
Accompanying her was the scent of rose body wash mixed with the Datura floral fragrance.
She leaned close to the person so engrossed in the anime, smelling the hyacinth fragrance on her body. Tearing her eyes away from the delicate gland on the back of the girl’s neck, she raised a hand and unexpectedly poked her cheek.
Jiang Jinyi looked up at her, furrowing her brows, her eyes asking: What are you doing?
“Is it really that good?” Jiang Youwan asked. The girl’s eyes were glued to the anime, without even sparing her a glance.
Jiang Jinyi tapped the screen. “It is good⦔
Propping one hand on the bed, Jiang Youwan leaned her body closer. The two of them were pressed very close together. Squinting her eyes, she added, “The doctor said you aren’t allowed to stare at electronic devices for too long, or else you’ll get a headache. Xiao Jin has already watched two episodes.”
“No, I’ve just gotten to the good part,” Jiang Jinyi said, staring at the screen. “My head doesn’t hurt anymore.”
“Is that so?”
Jiang Youwan didn’t say anything more. She just stayed leaning close by her side, keeping her company as she watched.
Who would have thought that before the progress bar for this episode was even halfway done, Jiang Jinyi would turn it off.
Jiang Youwan had hit the nail on the headβshe really did have a headache. It throbbed painfully, and her face had turned a bit pale. She had absolutely no interest in continuing to watch.
“I feel awful⦔
Feeling awful, she very naturally leaned against Jiang Youwan, whining softly.
Jiang Youwan let out a soft sigh and said, “See? You didn’t listen to Jiejie.”
“Wuu⦔
She could be boldly disobedient, and she could act spoiled just as boldly.
What Jiang Youwan enjoyed the most was Xiao Jin revealing her cute and willful side to her. With the girl carefully lying across her lap, Jiang Youwan placed her slender, pale hands on Jiang Jinyi’s face and gently massaged her temples.
Jiang Youwan’s technique was skilled and gentle. Jiang Jinyi soon felt comfortable and opened her eyes to look at her.
Even from this notoriously unflattering angle, Jiang Youwan was still flawlessly beautiful.
“Jiang Youwan,” she called out suddenly.
Sweet, and making one’s heart skip a beat.
Jiang Youwan’s heart fluttered slightly. She lowered her eyes to look at her, calmly replying, “Mm?”
“When is Mom coming to see me? Did she go on a business trip again?”
Jiang Youwan’s body stiffened, and the movement of her hands stopped.
Jiang Jinyi sensed that something was wrong. Her brows furrowed slightly. “What’s wrong? Is she not planning to come see me?”
“No⦔
“I can’t believe she isn’t planning to come see me!” Jiang Jinyi sat up and picked up the iPad again, wanting to make a video call to Jiang Ningshu.
Jiang Youwan watched her movements, her gaze darkening slightly.
Whatever had to be faced must inevitably be faced.
She couldn’t possibly keep this matter hidden from Xiao Jin.
Jiang Youwan pressed down on Jiang Jinyi’s hand that was operating the tablet.
“Don’t call.” Her voice was slightly heavy.
Jiang Jinyi was dissatisfied. “Why won’t you let me call?”
Jiang Youwan lowered her eyes and calmly stated the reason.
“A while ago, Mother passed away in a car accident.”
“⦔
This news was undoubtedly a bolt from the blue for Jiang Jinyi. She found it hard to accept and refused to believe it.
“Jiang Youwan, you’re lying to me.” She glared at Jiang Youwan, desperate to find some hint of a joke in her eyes.
But there was only heartache for her in Jiang Youwan’s gaze.
“Jiang Youwan, don’t make this kind of joke with me!” Her voice was already heavily laced with sobs. She knew perfectly well that Jiang Youwan would never joke about something like this.
“Xiao Jin⦔
Jiang Jinyi’s pale face grew even whiter. Tears swirled in her eyes, the rims turning a completely messy red.
Cruelly, Jiang Youwan proved to her that she wasn’t lying.
Although it was cruel, the sooner she faced it, the sooner she could move on.
From her initial quiet sobbing, Jiang Jinyi escalated to loud wails. Like a bursting dam, tears cascaded violently down her cheeks.
She cried with immense heartbreak, tears blurring her vision. She cried even more miserably than she had that day in front of the tombstone. At that time, it had been twenty-three-year-old Xiao Jin; the current Xiao Jin was far more fragile.
In Jiang Jinyi’s memory, she had been acting spoiled in her mother’s arms just a few days ago. After getting into an accident and suddenly jumping four years into the future, she had lost even her mother.
“You’re lying to me, you’re lying⦔
“Lying to me, lying!”
Jiang Youwan lowered her eyes and pulled her close into her embrace. Pressing her cheek against hers, she spoke into her ear with the utmost gentleness, “Xiao Jin, don’t be afraid. Jiejie is still here. Jiejie will always stay with you.”
Stroke by stroke, she rubbed her hair, letting the girl bury her face into her chest, giving her the most sincere sense of security.
Jiang Jinyi cried until Jiang Youwan’s collar was completely soaked. She cried until her eyes were swollen and her head pounded. The wails turned into quiet hiccups, her body trembling with each hitch of breath.
Jiang Youwan looked at the top of her head, her eyes full of deep attachment. “Be good, don’t be afraid. Jiejie is always here. From now on, Jiejie will always stay with you.”
This lasted until the early hours of the morning. Jiang Jinyi finally cried herself to exhaustion, falling into a groggy faint within Jiang Youwan’s embrace.
Jiang Youwan remained wide awake.
The desire hidden at the bottom of her heart seemed to have sensed a crack in its confinement, beginning to stir restlessly.
