On the Wedding Night, I Transmigrated to After the Divorce – Chapter 60
by Little PandaBad Woman
Fighting Back Against the Bad Woman
Yu Yan had a reasonable suspicion that Fu Yunqing’s gentleness, considerateness, and kindness were nothing but a facade. Deep down, she was actually a terrifying, deeply calculating, bone-devouring bad woman.
Now, she had two pieces of evidence.
Evidence one: Fu Yunqing was always teasing her, whether intentionally or not. Last night, she had only kissed Honey and skipped her entirely; it must have been a deliberate display to make her heart itch.
Evidence two: Last night, Fu Yunqing had very likely stolen a kiss while she was sleeping, leaving her so utterly flustered and restless that her mind was now entirely filled with thoughts of kissing.
Therefore, Fu Yunqing was truly calculating and terrifying!
She couldn’t keep dragging things out like this. Her escape plan had to be put on the agenda immediately.
How should she escape?
Yu Yan had to devise a foolproof plan.
Weighed down by her thoughts, Yu Yan got out of bed and went downstairs. Fu Yunqing, who had been planning to go up and wake her in a little while, was surprised to see her up on her own. She walked over to meet her and gently stroked her head, her heart softening.
Yu Yan, who was usually so proud and loved to strut around with a smug curl of her lips, actually kept her head lowered now, blushing.
And it was a furious blush, spreading from her cheeks down to her neck, even turning her ears bright red.
Fu Yunqing arched an eyebrow, a sly smile passing over her face, and patted her waist. “Alright, go eat breakfast.”
They had agreed yesterday to go see a movie today. Although Yu Yan felt a sudden urge to back out, she never went back on her word to a woman. So, this would be the absolute last time.
Once this movie was over, she would make her escape. Fu-jiejie mustn’t be too heartbroken, and that bad woman mustn’t be too angry.
The movie was scheduled to start at 8:30 PM. After they finished dinner at the restaurant, Fu Yunqing wanted to take her shopping. This reminded Yu Yan of the day they had gone to get their marriage certificate. Back then, she had only acted a little spoiled, and Fu-jiejie had immediately taken her out to eat. After the meal, Yu Yan had pestered her into going shopping together. Fu Yunqing had walked by her side with a mature, steady presence, indulging and humoring her every whim—the absolute picture of an older sister unconditionally spoiling her younger sister. No matter what Yu Yan wanted, Fu Yunqing would just give a soft “mm” and swipe her card without a single word when paying. She was incredibly charming.
Back then, Yu Yan had truly been happy beyond measure.
Unfortunately, those days were gone, never to return. Since Yu Yan was currently preparing her escape, she didn’t intend to spend too much of the other woman’s money. She deliberately tried to steer clear of the luxury boutiques she had been dreaming of, but Fu-jiejie understood her desires all too well and insisted on taking her out to buy things.
As a VIP member at all the major brands, Fu-jiejie was immediately ushered into the private lounges the moment they entered a store. Coffee, pastries, red wine, and champagne were readily provided as all kinds of limited-edition and newly released products were brought before them. Yu Yan fell in love with every single piece she looked at, wanting them all. Whenever she cast a longing glance toward Fu-jiejie, the older woman would simply smile, and the item would instantly be packaged up.
Moving from one boutique to the next, Yu Yan was quickly swept off her feet by such generous and magnanimous behavior as shopping bags piled up. Her guard dropped completely, and she temporarily forgot that Fu Yunqing was a deeply calculating, bone-devouring bad woman. Instead, she only saw her as wealthy, exceptionally supportive, and incredibly gentle and attentive. There was absolutely no woman in the world who was more of a heavenly dish1 than her.
After shopping for nearly two hours, it was finally time for the 8:30 PM movie to start. They arranged for their purchases to be delivered to their apartment, allowing them to head to the theater completely empty-handed.
After collecting their tickets with five minutes left before showtime, Fu Yunqing stepped away for a moment to a milk tea shop next to the kiosk, returning with a cup of hot milk tea. Then, holding hands, they walked into the theater together.
By the time Yu Yan found her seat and sat down, the straw was already inserted, and the milk tea was brought right to her lips.
“Try it.”
Feeling a little flattered, Yu Yan leaned in and took a sip. It was warm, half-sweet, topped with cheese foam and layered with taro paste—every single detail matched her preferences exactly. She was startled. How did Fu-jiejie know she liked to drink milk tea during movies, let alone her exact order? Just as she was about to ask, she instantly realized that during the time she couldn’t remember, she had already lived with her for two years. Two years—who knew how many movies they had watched together or how many cups of milk tea they had shared?
What a shame Yu Yan had forgotten every bit of it.
But it didn’t matter; she just had to cherish the present.
Yu Yan took hold of her hand supporting the cup and gently pushed the milk tea back toward her, her face lighting up with a beaming smile. Understanding her gesture, Fu Yunqing lowered her head to take a sip. “It’s good,” she murmured.
Yu Yan’s smile widened. Playing dumb, she asked, “Is the tangerine pear tea better, or this one?”
Fu Yunqing raised her hand, brushing away a few stray strands of hair clinging to Yu Yan’s cheek, and said slowly, “The tangerine pear tea, of course.”
Fu Yunqing smiled faintly. Her voice was exceptionally beautiful when she spoke with a smile, and the slight upward lilt at the end of her words was teasing. Yu Yan froze, her long eyelashes trembling as a sudden wave of self-conscious fluster washed over her. Fu Yunqing’s hand was still tracing her cheek.
“It’s starting,” the other woman reminded her in a low voice as she withdrew her hand.
“…”
The double sofa seat was very spacious, but the two of them sat extremely close, their bodies pressed together.
With her cheeks burning hot, Yu Yan’s mind was completely occupied with replaying that brief exchange, leaving her with no attention to spare for the opening credits. She sneaked a glance at Fu Yunqing, only to find her looking entirely unbothered, watching the screen attentively with just a faint curve at the corners of her lips.
She definitely knew she was flirting…
Yu Yan felt she was being teased and felt deeply indignant. But the other woman was simply too beautiful and alluring, leaving her unable to even sulk properly. She could only hold the straw the other woman had just had in her mouth and secretly grind her teeth.
As expected, being toyed with by women was simply her fate…
With great effort, Yu Yan finally managed to pull her attention back to the movie.
It was a newly released dual-female-lead film. She didn’t know where the plot was going, but not long after the film started, a stolen kiss scene actually occurred.
The female lead was stealing a kiss from another woman who lay passed out on the sofa from drinking. The actress had an intense, magnetic presence and was exceptionally good at kissing. Yu Yan stared blankly, reacting strongly to the scene as she involuntarily recalled her dream from last night.
Now that a whole day had passed, the dream had grown a bit fuzzy, and she had gotten many of the details mixed up.
Yu Yan remembered thunder in her dream. Had it actually thundered? Her heart skipped a heavy beat. She sneaked a glance at Fu Yunqing, but she showed no reaction whatsoever, remaining perfectly composed during the stolen kiss scene.
If she had actually kissed her, wouldn’t she feel even a little guilty seeing a scene like this?
Yu Yan pulled out her phone and sent a message to Lu Yu: 【Did it thunder last night, after around eleven-thirty?】
Lu Yu: 【I think so. I was woken up by it, and when I checked the time, it was midnight.】
Had it really thundered? So it wasn’t just thunder invented by Yu Yan’s dream to create a sense of atmosphere?
Lu Yu: 【What’s wrong?】
Yu Yan: 【I suspect Fu Yunqing stole a kiss from me.】
Lu Yu: 【Huh? A stolen kiss?】
Lu Yu: 【What kind of relationship do you two even have right now? If she wants to kiss you, does she really need to do it secretly?】
Lu Yu: 【Or did she try to kiss you and you rejected her? No way.】
What did she mean “no way”? Lu Yu was really looking down on her.
Yu Yan was about to reject her and run away.
Yu Yan: 【It’s complicated. I can’t explain it in just a few words.】
Lu Yu: 【Then when did she kiss you?】
Yu Yan: 【At night, while I was asleep.】
Lu Yu: 【Could it just be your spring dream2?】
Yu Yan: 【Mm… it really could just be a spring dream. I can’t tell the difference. Is there any way to test her?】
“The light is very dim, don’t play on your phone. It’s bad for your eyes,” the person beside her suddenly spoke up to remind her. Startled, Yu Yan hurriedly put her phone away, straightened her posture, and stared fixedly at the screen.
She pretended to be watching the movie intently, but in reality, she was constantly analyzing things. Was Fu Yunqing really that bad? While claiming she didn’t want to pressure her and wanted to give her space, she had actually used the excuse of reading a bedtime story to lull her to sleep, only to steal a kiss.
Yu Yan held the straw that had also been in Fu Yunqing’s mouth, sipping the milk tea. This simple action alone actually made her face flush and her heart race.
Kissing is more comfortable than this, she thought.
Once this thought cropped up in her mind, it was hard to suppress it again. To make matters worse, the movie was absolutely packed with kissing scenes. Within the first hour, they had already kissed three or four times, and each kiss was exceptionally passionate.
The boundaries of Hua Country’s movies were truly getting pushed further and further.
Thoroughly conflicted and restless, she kept biting down on the straw. When Fu Yunqing noticed, she reached out, rescued the flattened straw from her mouth, and gently scolded, “Don’t bite the straw.”
“Are you done?”
“No…” Yu Yan replied in a daze, the milk tea still half-full.
“Do you want any more?”
Yu Yan shook her head in response.
To prevent her from continuing this bad habit of chewing on the straw, Fu Yunqing took the milk tea away.
She only felt that she was so strict, unable to understand what was so bad about biting a straw. To her surprise, Fu Yunqing actually, quite naturally, placed the flattened straw in her own mouth, took a sip of the unfinished milk tea, and only then placed it in the cup holder on the side.
“…”
It was chewed to such an extent that even Yu Yan herself found it a bit repulsive, yet Fu Yunqing didn’t mind her saliva in the slightest. Was it because they used to french kiss so often that they were already completely used to it?
They had been together for two years, loved each other to that extent, kissed, done that, and her butt had even been spanked. They were completely inseparable, alright? What was there left that they hadn’t done?
As these thoughts turned into images in Yu Yan’s head, a tingling sensation surged up her lower abdomen, making her too afraid to think any further. And right at this moment, another passionate kissing scene was playing on the big screen. Without her milk tea, Yu Yan didn’t know where to put her hands, and no matter how she sat, she felt incredibly awkward.
“Jiejie…” Yu Yan whispered, unable to suppress the restlessness in her heart.
“What is it?” Fu Yunqing turned to look at her.
“They’re really good at kissing.”
“…”
“Mmh.”
“They’re really good at kissing,” Fu Yunqing softly repeated her words.
“…”
Fifteen minutes before the movie was scheduled to end, after confirming that Yu Yan didn’t want to go anywhere else or buy anything else, Fu Yunqing notified Dan Lin to bring the car around so they could head straight back as soon as the film concluded.
She’s practically keeping me under strict surveillance. It looks like I won’t be able to escape tonight either, Yu Yan thought to herself.
On the way back, the two of them sat together in the back seat. Outside the windows lay a brightly lit night, its bustle carrying a sense of solitude unique to winter. Yu Yan’s state of mind, however, was something completely incompatible and opposite to that sense of solitude.
She felt very restless.
From time to time, she couldn’t help but steal glances at Fu Yunqing. The other woman was gazing out the window, her expression as calm and placid as ever, showing no sign of anything out of the ordinary.
Ever since those few words in the theater, the atmosphere between them had turned somewhat subtle.
Yu Yan had sensed it, and she believed Fu Yunqing must have felt it too.
In fact, Yu Yan felt that Fu Yunqing must have misunderstood and thought she wanted to kiss her.
How was that even possible?
Yu Yan didn’t want to in the slightest.
But why was Fu Yunqing showing absolutely no reaction?
Since she already knew Yu Yan wanted to kiss her, yet still pretended nothing had happened—was she fishing3?
Yu Yan increasingly felt that this woman was incredibly cunning.
Since she was so cunning…
With Dan Lin driving in the front seat, Yu Yan quickly came up with an excellent idea.
She reached out to take Fu Yunqing’s hand. As Fu Yunqing turned her head, Yu Yan lowered her own head and leaned against her shoulder. Seeing this, Fu Yunqing adjusted her posture, wrapping an arm around her so she could lean more comfortably.
Yu Yan curled up in her embrace, resting her forehead against her collarbone while holding her hand and playing with it.
Fu-jiejie was wearing a watch on her left wrist today. Yu Yan found it somewhat familiar, and looking closer, she realized it seemed to be the wristwatch she had emptied her savings to buy as a birthday gift in their old romance Weibo posts. She had surprisingly only just noticed it.
Suddenly, she felt a little smug.
But why hadn’t Fu Yunqing told her she was wearing it?
“Are you tired?” Fu Yunqing asked, resting her chin against the corner of Yu Yan’s forehead as she watched her small movements.
“Mmh~” She liked to use this tone to express denial, shaking her head.
“I actually have a question to ask you,” Yu Yan said. She was still keeping her head down, not looking at her, but her tone was incredibly serious and earnest. Naturally, Fu Yunqing took it seriously. “What question?”
Yu Yan acted coyly for a moment before lifting her head, meeting her downcast gaze perfectly.
Yu Yan parted her lips, hesitating as if she were deeply concerned about an outsider overhearing. Holding onto the other woman’s shoulders, she leaned in close to her ear and whispered, “I had a dream last night.”
She said this and then stopped, deliberately leaving her hanging. She wanted to wait until Fu Yunqing asked what she had dreamed of before she continued: “I dreamed of kissing you.”
“…”
Now that they had moved on to an even more private topic, she was truly afraid of being overheard by the driver in the front, and felt so embarrassed. Yu Yan lowered her voice even further and leaned closer, her lips brushing almost imperceptibly against Fu Yunqing’s fair, smooth ear as she spoke: “I dreamed that Mama pinned me to the bed, took my lips in her mouth, and kissed me… it felt so good…”
“I wanted to so badly, I wanted to so badly… Ah, forget it.” Yu Yan paused, squeezing her wrist as if conflicted, and then let go immediately. Shyly, she turned her face away, slipped out of her embrace, and retreated to her own seat, looking out the window.
Hmph. Yu Yan’s lips curled up. The one left feeling conflicted now certainly wouldn’t be her.
Yunlan Yufu.
The car parked in the underground garage, which was silent and deserted. Fu Yunqing stepped out first and stood waiting for her, but Yu Yan did not take her hand when she caught up.
They walked side-by-side, each harboring her own thoughts. They both remained silent after boarding the elevator, yet the atmosphere was far from cold; instead, it was a subtle undercurrent of anxious tension.
Both of them understood.
Aside from Auntie Zhang, the other hired housekeepers only completed their work during specified daytime hours, and Auntie Zhang herself always left after cooking dinner. Now, at ten o’clock at night, there was no one else in the house except for a cat who had been waiting early by the door to welcome her mommy and jiejie.
Their child guarding such a large home all by herself was simply too pitiful. Looking at those round, large, bright eyes, Yu Yan’s heart softened so much that she immediately squatted down to pet her, and the kitten rolled onto the ground and let out a soft purring sound.
“Change your shoes and come in first.”
This was the first time Fu Yunqing had spoken to her since Yu Yan had uttered those words of tigers and wolves4. Yu Yan couldn’t read her emotions, so she obediently set the kitten aside, put on her toad slippers, and stood up. Hurriedly saying, “I’m going to take a shower,” she walked quickly toward the stairs. Seeing this, the black cat anxiously circled Fu Yunqing’s ankles, rubbed against her legs, and then chased after Yu Yan with her tail held high.
Fu Yunqing looked up, watching as the girl and the cat quickly vanished around the corner of the stairs.
