    Daily Life

    Puppy

    Mischievous

    1.

Yu Yan’s WeChat Moments post received many likes—including one from the major force behind her and Fu-jiejie’s reconciliation, Ran Ling.

    Ran-jiejie left a comment: 【Stay happy!】【Heart】

A great beauty with a kind heart who gave silently without expecting anything in return—Yu Yan knew that she and Fu-jiejie truly had Ran Ling to thank for their reunion. A private message wasn’t enough; she needed to drag Fu-jiejie along to hear to spend some money, and catch up with the gorgeous Ran-jiejie she hadn’t seen in ages.

When Ran Ling heard they were coming, she welcomed the idea warmly, reserved the best seat for them, and had Boss Yu personally mix their drinks.

hear’s business was as good as ever. Seated among the scattered, desire-filled crowd, people kept trying to chat them up, only to be turned away by Ran Ling or Fu Yunqing.

Fu Yunqing held Yu Yan’s hand tightly in her palm.

“So Fu-jiejie, you knew Ran-jiejie all along? How come you never introduced us?”

At a long table, Yu Yan and Fu Yunqing sat together. Beneath the table, their clasped hands rested on jiejie’s thigh. Yu Yan leaned bonelessly against jiejie’s shoulder, while Ran Ling sat across from them.

Fu Yunqing said, “We weren’t very close back then.”

“It was just a few encounters. One time, I overheard her on the phone with you—you seemed to be… going out to play mahjong?” Ran Ling smiled. Yu Ting, who had been mixing drinks at the bar, brought over the drinks—only two glasses.

Then she placed a glass of coconut water in front of Ran Ling and sat down beside her.

Ran Ling leaned naturally against her.

Ran-jiejie continued. Yu Yan lifted her glass and took a sip, her gaze drifting to Yu Ting to study her.

Boss Yu was undeniably a striking beauty, with an aura entirely different from Ran-jiejie’s. Her style was sharper, more dashing. The silent black she wore head to toe set off her cool, pale skin. Yu Yan suddenly noticed a choker around her neck.

Black, very thin, seemingly leather, and of fine quality. The pendant was… Yu Yan narrowed her eyes. The pendant was hidden under the collar, hard to make out—it was a bone.

    A bone…?

Yu Yan couldn’t help raising an eyebrow.

How could something like a bone, so at odds with Boss Yu’s vibe, appear on her person? Obviously…

Yu Yan marveled inwardly, glancing at Ran Ling.

Ran-jiejie was holding Yu Ting’s arm, toying with the fabric at her cuff. She spoke with a bright smile, looking every bit the gentle, fragile type. But if you looked closely at her eyes, the smile concealed a poised, effortless confidence. She did indeed look like someone who knew a thing or two about training a puppy. I wonder…

Yu Yan looked at Yu Ting again. What a contrast.

    Truly hard to imagine…

Ran Ling said, “At the time, I even thought Yunqing was managing you quite strictly—having to report in just to play mahjong?”

“She was young and too playful. Without check-ins, who knew where she’d run off to or when she’d come home.” Fu Yunqing smiled faintly.

    Ran Ling nodded. “True.”

“To maintain a relationship, you do need to check in obediently. Otherwise, over time, your heart will go wild—and then what?” She looked at Yu Yan, her smiling eyes carrying a particularly knowing nuance. Yu Yan froze, realized something, and lifted her hand to touch her own neck. Her face flushed crimson.

    —Ran-jiejie must have seen it.

She’d been so busy teasing others in her head that she’d almost forgotten.

She was wearing a collar around her neck.

    She was a puppy too.

    2.

Master had many collars custom-made for her, each one exquisitely beautiful. Held in Master’s hands, they carried a certain allure—just looking at them made the puppy want to thread her head right in.

Yu Yan was already a very good puppy.

So good that only when she buried her head in and clearly felt the band of restraint circling her neck did she feel safe, secure—basking in Master’s unwavering love, the happiest in the world.

So that she could experience this happiness at every moment, Master had a discreet, lightweight collar custom-made for her. A black leather cord with a platinum heart pendant. The heart was engraved with Master’s name and phone number. Master’s name rested against her skin, hidden away like an ordinary necklace—something only the two of them understood.

Sometimes, faced with persistent suitors she couldn’t shake, Yu Yan would helplessly flip the pendant to show Master’s name and say, “Do you want to call my Wife and ask her about it?”

That was the downside of being too charming. Even with a ring on, there were still plenty of people she couldn’t shake off.

She’d been working very hard to curb her wandering eye. Just as she’d told Fu Yunqing at the beach—since being with her, she’d never thought of another woman.

    3.

Yu Yan fancied herself a particularly good, particularly obedient puppy—at least, that was how she’d promised Fu Yunqing when she first begged her to be her Master.

In reality, she was mischievous enough to give Fu Yunqing headaches sometimes.

At first, she was indeed very good. But after a while, she started getting restless, disobedient, and playful.

For instance, kneeling on the cushion while Master sat before her, asking her to extend her left hand. Her beautiful eyes would gaze directly at Master, her look carrying a seemingly unwitting blend of allure and obedience—yet she’d place her right hand in Master’s palm instead. Seeing Master frown, she’d curve her eyes into a smile, and only then obediently offer her left hand.

Or take the puppy’s favorite game of fetch. Master would toss the ball aside for her to retrieve—if she brought it back, she’d get pets. But she always liked to bite the ball, take barely two steps back, then flop onto the ground. She’d rub her chin against the carpet, the collar around her neck jingling, the ball still in her mouth, gazing innocently at Master not far away.

Just when Master was on the verge of getting angry, she’d lazily rise and crawl back to Master’s side, spit the ball into her hand, and tilt her neck up for pets.

If she didn’t get pets, she’d rub her face against Master’s knee with great enthusiasm. If stopped, she’d even get huffy and indignant.

It was the same in daily life. She’d always obediently message Master to check in when she woke up, but when Master told her to take her time and come down for breakfast, she’d deliberately send a 【No】 sticker. No matter what Master said, she’d send 【No】. When Master video-called, she’d lie in bed deliberately teasing her, and it took Fu Yunqing coming home to give her a proper dressing-down before she’d behave.

And she’d deliberately time it to when Fu Yunqing was in class, sending her sexy photos that made one’s desire for control skyrocket. The more Fu Yunqing told her to stop, the further she’d go.

    Things like that.

Very mischievous, yet when being disciplined, she’d wheedle and sweet-talk her way through.

    “Aw, I was wrong~”

“Mm~ I really won’t do it next time.”

    “Ah, jiejie, you’re so cute~”

“I’m being good. When have I not listened?”

She claimed to be Mommy’s puppy, but in reality, she was a clingy yet cunning little cat with a heavy playful streak who loved to push buttons—far harder to manage than an ordinary puppy.

But that was fine. Fu Yunqing had endless energy and patience for her. She knew that no matter what, the child was still her child—hard to manage or not, she’d manage her all the same.

Yu Yan had never once taken off the collar Master gave her. She understood the boundaries and Master’s authority. No matter how mischievous she got, she would always return to Master’s feet and obediently rest her chin there.

She loved her Master so, so much.

And her mischief, too, stemmed entirely from Master’s love for her.
