    Cat Ears, Cat Tail

Song Qingpei watched the scene before her, her mind buzzing.

Ming Yu had already taken off her jacket and was clumsily unbuttoning her shirt, her gaze hazy yet stubborn, mumbling incessantly: “Jiejie… look at me…”

Song Qingpei took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.

She knew Ming Yu too well. This person was the most stubborn when sober. If she woke up tomorrow and discovered she had done something like this while drunk, she would probably be mortified and lash out, accusing Song Qingpei of taking advantage of her.

Thinking of this, Song Qingpei activated her light-terminal’s recording function, positioning the camera toward Ming Yu.

She needed to keep evidence, to avoid any misunderstandings tomorrow.

“Ming Yu, you’re drunk! Stop!” Song Qingpei tried to stop her.

But Ming Yu had already undone the buttons, revealing black lace lingerie underneath.

She tilted her head, looking at Song Qingpei with hazy eyes, her voice soft and sweet: “Doesn’t jiejie like it? I have lots more…”

As she spoke, she wobbled over to the box and pulled out a pair of fluffy cat ears, clumsily trying to put them on her head. The black cat ears made her cold, elegant features look somewhat cute, a stark contrast to her usual serious image.

Song Qingpei held back her laughter and asked, “Where did you learn this from?”

“Song Xiaorou said… this way jiejie will like me…” Ming Yu said as she took out a black cat tail from the box, trying to attach it to her waist.

Song Qingpei couldn’t help but remind her: “That’s not how you wear the tail.”

Ming Yu looked up, her hazy eyes carrying a hint of grievance: “Then jiejie help me…”

Song Qingpei didn’t dare actually comply. She walked over and, while Ming Yu was distracted, tried to toss the fluffy tail back into the box, but Ming Yu noticed and snatched it back.

She also took the opportunity to hug Song Qingpei, burying her face in her neck and nuzzling it, her voice soft and sweet: “Jiejie smells so good…”

Song Qingpei trembled all over from the nuzzling and quickly pushed her away: “Stop fooling around, go to sleep.”

But Ming Yu refused. She went back to rummaging through the box, mumbling something under her breath. Song Qingpei walked over helplessly and crouched down, trying to pull her toward the bed.

Suddenly, a faint rose scent filled the air, carrying a cloying sweetness.

Song Qingpei felt her body heating up.

“Song Xiaorou said… this can make jiejie like me even more…” Ming Yu said as she took out a pair of black stockings and clumsily tried to put them on her legs.

Watching the usually cold and stern Admiral now wearing cat ears and a cat tail, clumsily putting on stockings, Song Qingpei found the scene absurd yet hilarious. She couldn’t hold it in anymore and laughed out loud, getting louder and louder.

Ming Yu heard her laughter and turned her head, her hazy eyes full of grievance: “Jiejie is laughing at me…”

Song Qingpei quickly suppressed her laughter: “No, go on.”

But Ming Yu refused. She wobbled over and pushed Song Qingpei onto the bed, climbing on top of her. Her breath smelled of alcohol, her hazy eyes stubborn: “Jiejie… do you like me?”

Song Qingpei couldn’t move under her weight, feeling her whole body burning.

She suddenly realized that the aromatherapy must have been laced with aphrodisiac ingredients, and her susceptible period seemed to be getting worse.

“Ming Yu, get up…” Song Qingpei tried to push her away, but discovered that although Ming Yu was drunk, her strength was still considerable.

Ming Yu refused, burying her face in Song Qingpei’s neck instead and giving a gentle bite.

Song Qingpei trembled, feeling a wave of heat spread through her entire body.

“Jiejie… mark me, please…” Ming Yu’s voice was soft and pleading.

Song Qingpei forcefully pushed her away, resisting the urge: “No, I need to get an inhibitor.”

Pushed away, Ming Yu sat on the bed with grievance, her eyes full of hurt and disappointment: “Jiejie doesn’t like me, jiejie doesn’t like me anymore…”

Song Qingpei had no time to comfort her. She hurriedly got up to find an inhibitor.

When she returned after administering it, she found Ming Yu had fallen asleep at the edge of the bed. Tears seemed to still be on her face, and she was mumbling: “Jiejie… please like me, okay…”

Seeing her like this, Song Qingpei felt helpless and somewhat heartbroken.

Truly fate playing tricks on people. If only they hadn’t gone through all those messy things.

She sighed, carried Ming Yu to the bed, tucked her in, then lay down on the other side, trying to calm her restless emotions.

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the gap in the curtains.

Ming Yu slowly opened her eyes, her head pounding. She rubbed her temples, trying to recall what happened last night. However, as her memories gradually became clearer, her expression grew worse and worse.

She remembered getting drunk, and then…

And then she had actually put on those shameful adult items in front of Song Qingpei!

Ming Yu’s face instantly flushed red. She sat up abruptly and saw the open box beside the bed, filled with all sorts of blush-inducing items. They all seemed to be mocking her openly—

Look, you seduced her like this and Song Qingpei still wouldn’t mark you. How pitiful!

Ming Yu was both ashamed and embarrassed, losing even the courage to face Song Qingpei. She quickly dressed, glanced at the still-sleeping Song Qingpei, and fled this place that made her want to disappear.

She hurried downstairs, skipped breakfast entirely, and drove straight away from the manor.

Song Qingpei woke up not long after Ming Yu left.

She opened her eyes to find the space beside her empty. Only that box full of adult items remained in the middle of the room. She paused, then remembered Ming Yu’s absurd drunken behavior last night and couldn’t help but laugh.

“That rascal, she actually ran away.”

Song Qingpei shook her head, got up to wash and change, then went downstairs for breakfast.

Butler Su had prepared a sumptuous breakfast. After eating, Song Qingpei drove to the Blue Sea laboratory.

When she arrived at the company and walked into her office, Murong Ruixue came to greet her.

    “Qingpei, good morning.”

Song Qingpei nodded and replied casually: “Ruixue-jie, sorry for the trouble during my time off. Give me whatever work needs to be done, I’ll try to catch up.”

Murong Ruixue smiled, saying nothing more, just handing her a document: “This is today’s work schedule. See if there are any issues.”

Song Qingpei took the file and looked through it carefully, finding the workload wasn’t heavy.

Returning to work, Song Qingpei’s mindset had shifted. She appeared focused on her work, but was actually secretly observing Murong Ruixue’s every move all day.

However, by the end of the day, she hadn’t noticed anything unusual about Murong Ruixue.

    “Can’t be too impatient.”

She comforted herself, needing patience. Murong Ruixue wouldn’t easily reveal any flaws.

Meanwhile, Murong Ruixue was also secretly observing Song Qingpei. She keenly sensed that Song Qingpei’s attitude toward her had changed subtly. Though still polite on the surface, that faint sense of distance made her uneasy.

“Could she have discovered something?” Murong Ruixue’s heart tightened, and she immediately contacted Li Man.

“Li Man, I think Song Qingpei isn’t right. She might know something.” Murong Ruixue spoke in a lowered voice.

Li Man on the other end was silent for a moment, then said: “In that case, we should act as soon as possible.”

Murong Ruixue frowned, her tone anxious: “But I have no chance to get close to her now. How could I possibly get pregnant with her child?”

“Then we’ll have to find a way to take her away. We don’t have much time. We must withdraw before the military academy is established.” Li Man said.

After hanging up, Murong Ruixue’s expression grew heavy. She knew that once Li Man’s plan began, there was no turning back.

But could she really make a move against Song Qingpei?

After work, Song Qingpei returned home and found Ming Yu hadn’t come back yet.

She played with her daughter for a while until dusk fell and Ming Yu finally arrived.

To Song Qingpei’s surprise, Ming Yu didn’t come up to her as usual today. Instead, she seemed to be avoiding her. Song Qingpei found this amusing and deliberately moved closer to talk to her.

“Ming Yu, I went to work today and haven’t found anything wrong with Murong Ruixue yet.”

Ming Yu replied casually: “No rush. The most important thing is not to raise her suspicions.”

    “Right, I understand.”

Song Qingpei said this, her gaze drifting over Ming Yu from time to time, deliberately lowering her voice to ask: “How are you feeling? Drinking so much, any discomfort?”

“Fine.” Ming Yu’s expression was unnatural, deliberately avoiding Song Qingpei’s eyes.

Song Qingpei raised an eyebrow and deliberately said: “Oh? Do you remember what happened last night?”

Ming Yu’s face instantly turned red, her tone flustered: “Last night… last night I was drunk, I don’t remember anything!”

Song Qingpei smiled and deliberately said: “Is that so? What a shame. I thought you’d remember.”

Ming Yu’s expression grew even worse. She bit her lip and said nothing.

Rarely seeing her so defeated, Song Qingpei said somewhat wickedly: “By the way, you haven’t cleaned up the things in your room. Remember to clean them…”

“Song Qingpei, that’s enough!” Ming Yu snapped in embarrassment and anger.

Seeing Ming Yu was genuinely annoyed, Song Qingpei suppressed her laughter and said seriously: “Alright, I won’t say anymore. But you should drink less in the future. It really damages your image as an Admiral.”

Hearing the teasing in her words, Ming Yu glared at Song Qingpei with a mix of shame and anger, turned around, and quickly returned to her room, slamming the door with a BANG—

Song Qingpei looked at the closed door and couldn’t help but laugh.

However, she didn’t know that at this moment, Ming Yu was leaning against the door, heart racing, her face burning.

Looking at the unpacked box in the room, thinking about how she had lost all dignity last night and someone still remained unmoved, she angrily went over and kicked the box twice, cursing Song Qingpei in embarrassment:

“So dense1! You deserve to have pheromone indifference!”
