Top-Tier Omega: Chasing Alpha to the Crematorium – Chapter 32
by Little PandaJiejie, Hurry and Mark Me!
It was an almost instinctive reaction, as if calling out to the deepest desires hidden at the bottom of their hearts.
“Jiejie…” Mengmeng’s voice rippled softly like a gentle breeze, carrying a trace of unease and longing. “I… I want… you to kiss me, touch me…”
Song Qingpei’s heart tightened, as if this simple request had struck her in her softest place. Her fingers couldn’t help but glide over Mengmeng’s skin, feeling her warmth and the steady pulse beneath.
Mengmeng’s breathing grew ragged. Her body leaned forward slightly in anticipation, wanting to press even closer to Song Qingpei.
In an instant, an uncontrollable desire ignited within Song Qingpei. It felt as if countless sparks had detonated in the depths of her heart, setting every single nerve ending ablaze.
“Mengmeng…”
She called out in a low voice, gradually deepening the pressure of her touch against the gland at the back of Mengmeng’s neck. With every light caress, it was as if a jolt of electricity had passed through her. Mengmeng’s breaths became almost shattered.
“Jiejie, you… you’re bullying me…”
Hearing these words, Song Qingpei’s heart softened, though mingled with a touch of helplessness.
She lowered her head and gently brushed her lips against Mengmeng’s tears, comforting her softly. “I didn’t mean to, Mengmeng. It will be over soon.”
“Jiejie, I want… mark me! Hurry and completely mark me…”
Tears of yearning shimmered in Mengmeng’s eyes, as if she were anticipating a gluttonous feast1.
Ming Yu slowly opened her eyes. She shifted slightly and found herself held tightly in Song Qingpei’s embrace. The warm body heat transferring through their skin left her in a momentary daze.
Her body still harbored the lingering afterglow of last night’s pleasure, faintly accompanied by a sense of emptiness, and an unspeakable… sexual frustration.
Last night, they had clearly been only one step away. Song Qingpei had almost lost control and completely marked her, yet she had forcefully held herself back, only temporarily marking and soothing her once again. But even just Song Qingpei’s proactive temporary mark brought a pleasure far more intense than when she had forced it.
That soul-deep sense of compatibility made it feel as though their very souls had been branded with each other’s marks.
The instinctual drive of her body made her all the more… desperate to be completely marked.
Just thinking about their past blending together like water and milk2 made her body grow hot. It felt as if countless ants were crawling deep within her—a numb, tingling itch that made her wish Song Qingpei would ruthlessly…
Realizing what she was thinking, Ming Yu’s cheeks instantly flushed crimson. She inwardly spat at herself for having such outrageous thoughts. Yet, when she closed her eyes, the scenes from last night still involuntarily surfaced in her mind—herself writhing beneath Song Qingpei, softly calling her “jiejie,” and even proactively crying and begging to be completely marked.
At this thought, the tips of Ming Yu’s ears instantly turned burning red, and a wave of shame surged in her heart.
Damn it, I’m clearly two years older than her…
Ming Yu inwardly groaned in frustration, blaming Song Qingpei for taking advantage of her amnesia.
But her body involuntarily leaned closer into Song Qingpei’s embrace. Her fingers lightly brushed against Song Qingpei’s chest. Feeling her steady breathing, Ming Yu’s heart became a tangled mess of conflicting emotions.
Last night, she had been entirely dominated by her amnesiac instincts, but now that she was clear-headed, she was somewhat at a loss for how to face Song Qingpei.
Just as her thoughts were in turmoil, Song Qingpei also woke up.
And for whatever reason, Ming Yu abruptly snapped her eyes shut.
Song Qingpei shifted her arm and looked down at the person in her embrace, a complex look flashing through her eyes.
The reappearance of “Mengmeng” last night had left her both satisfied and conflicted. Especially when “Mengmeng” had called her “Jiejie” in that state—it had nearly shattered all her rationality.
Fortunately, her reason had returned at the final juncture, preventing her from making an irreversible mistake.
Calming down now, she felt more and more that this entire situation completely lacked logic. She feared this might just be another of Ming Yu’s tricks. But no matter what… being able to see “Mengmeng” again was already a luxury she hadn’t dared to hope for.
However, until she figured things out, she absolutely could not allow herself to wallow in it, lest she be ruled by desire and commit a grave error.
Song Qingpei reminded herself over and over again that the current “Mengmeng” was not the same as her wife.
After psyching herself up for a long time, she finally opened her mouth. “Meng…”
Song Qingpei had barely uttered a single syllable before she paused. She suddenly recalled that the last time Ming Yu had appeared in her “Mengmeng” state, she had reverted to normal the very next day, leaving both of them incredibly awkward.
At this thought, she first gave the person in her arms a gentle nudge.
Ming Yu’s body stiffened slightly, then she pretended to have just woken up, opening her eyes with a bleary gaze.
Seeing her awake, Song Qingpei couldn’t gauge her current state and asked probingly, “You’re awake?”
Hearing this, Ming Yu shifted her body, inadvertently brushing against Song Qingpei beneath the covers. She deliberately trailed her fingertips over Song Qingpei’s lower abdomen, turning her head to observe her reaction.
Song Qingpei’s body went rigid. Outwardly she pretended nothing was wrong, but in truth, her muscles had instantly drawn taut.
Ming Yu found this highly amusing, so she deliberately said, “Last night… what happened? I seem to have trouble remembering.”
Hearing this, Song Qingpei couldn’t help but scrutinize Ming Yu, as if trying to test the waters.
Feeling slightly unnatural under her gaze, Ming Yu feigned composure. “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?”
Song Qingpei didn’t believe her reaction for a second. She probed, “You… don’t remember anything at all?”
Ming Yu supported her forehead and pretended to think deeply, deciding to play dumb for now to see how Song Qingpei would react.
Thus, putting on a look of recollection, she said haltingly, “It’s not that I don’t remember anything at all. I remember… coming to your room to wait for you last night, and falling asleep. I can’t really recall what happened after that. You were holding me, and it seemed like you even… initiated kissing me…”
She deliberately emphasized the word “initiated,” observing Song Qingpei’s expression after she finished.
Unfortunately, Song Qingpei merely listened seriously to Ming Yu’s words. Once she was done, she followed up with another question: “Do you really not remember anything else?”
Ming Yu inwardly cursed Song Qingpei’s calm reaction. Feigning a bewildered moment of thought, she then acted as if struck by a sudden realization. “Did my heat come again last night? Did you… proactively soothe me?”
That last sentence was practically laying all her cards on the table.
She waited for Song Qingpei to admit that she had been the one to initiate things last night. That way, Ming Yu could fire back that Song Qingpei still had feelings for her—that it was because of those feelings she had proactively engaged in such intimacy, completely contradicting her previous claims of having fully let go.
But to her absolute surprise, Song Qingpei simply got up. As she put on her clothes, she played right along with Ming Yu’s words. “Yes, your heat did arrive last night. I kept our agreement and gave you a temporary soothing.”
“Just kept our agreement?” Ming Yu’s face was a picture of shock.
Song Qingpei turned to look at her. “What else?”
That single, breezy what else left Ming Yu instantly trapped in a dilemma.
If she accepted Song Qingpei’s version of events, she would be eating bitter herbs in silence3. But if she didn’t accept it, she would have to admit she had been lying. She remembered absolutely everything. And if that happened, she would inevitably have to give Song Qingpei a thorough explanation.
Ming Yu’s mind raced. She realized she had walked right into a trap set by Song Qingpei. After mulling it over, she decided to swallow this bitter pill for now. At present, she still didn’t want Song Qingpei to know she was undergoing hypnosis.
She gritted her teeth secretly and said in a muffled voice, “Never mind.”
And so, the two of them tacitly chose to play dumb together, neither continuing the awkward topic.
Having suffered this unspoken grievance, Ming Yu’s every movement carried a hint of venting her anger. She threw the covers aside once again and got up to find her clothes, which had been tossed everywhere. It wasn’t until she fished out her bra from the foot of the bed that she realized the straps had long been snapped.
She deliberately dangled the undergarment from her fingers, directing an interrogating glare at Song Qingpei.
“Hah.” She spoke in a sarcastic, mocking tone. “Song Qingpei, since when did you become so violent?”
Song Qingpei turned her head, just in time to see Ming Yu half-sitting on the edge of the bed without a single thread on her body. She was holding up the broken lingerie with cold, arrogant elegance, questioning her aggressively, the unextinguished flames of anger seemingly still burning in those beautiful eyes.
This scene inexplicably exuded a kind of comical seduction, making her unable to hold back a soft chuckle.
Ming Yu likely realized something was amiss as well. Furious, she tossed the underwear into the trash can and snapped in embarrassment, “What are you laughing at? Go get me a set of pajamas.”
Struggling to conceal the smile at the corners of her lips, Song Qingpei pulled a set of unworn pajamas from the wardrobe and handed them to her.
Snatching the pajamas irritably, Ming Yu slipped them directly over her bare skin, loosely tying the sash.
A familiar image couldn’t help but flash through Song Qingpei’s mind. Back then, Ming Yu had also come to her room wearing pajamas, with highly revealing sexy lingerie underneath. For a fleeting second, the two scenes seemed to overlap.
Realizing what she was thinking, Song Qingpei felt so ashamed she wanted the ground to swallow her whole. She was simply losing her mind.
For once, facing Ming Yu gave Song Qingpei the urge to turn tail and flee.
She said, rather uncomfortably, “I… I’ll go see if Song Song is awake.”
Meanwhile, Ming Yu completely ignored Song Qingpei’s discomfort, storming back to her own room in a huff to take a shower.
Song Qingpei woke Song Song up, got her ready, and brought her downstairs for breakfast.
The two hadn’t been seated for long before Ming Yu came down the stairs. Dressed in her black, gold-trimmed military uniform, she looked tall and perfectly upright. The knee-high military boots only made her legs look longer and her waist narrower.
She descended the steps at a slow, deliberate pace, like a queen patrolling her territory.
When she reached the landing, she stretched her back with utmost naturalness, like a fully satiated cat.
Taking a seat opposite the two of them, Ming Yu first cast a glance at Song Qingpei before asking, “Song Song, did you sleep well last night?”
“Mhm, Song Song slept all the way until Mama woke me up. But…”
Song Song suddenly paused here. She scratched her little head in distress, her face full of regret. “Song Song had a dream. In the dream, Mama and Mommy took me to kindergarten to play. But I woke up before we finished playing. It’s such a pity.”
“Does Song Song want to go out and play?” Ming Yu smiled.
Song Song nodded vigorously, her face filled with longing. “Can we?”
Who could possibly refuse such an adorable face?
Ming Yu almost blurted out, “Of course we can, let’s just—” She ran through her schedule in her head and realized she couldn’t squeeze out any time at all. Unable to bear disappointing Song Song, she could only say in a negotiating tone, “Mommy doesn’t have time during the day. How about we go out to play tonight?”
“Okay, okay! Mommy is the best!”
Song Song cheered happily. She kept spouting endless rainbow praises4, providing full emotional value.
Under her daughter’s lavish praise, Ming Yu’s mood improved considerably. Her gaze involuntarily drifted back to Song Qingpei, only to see her head bowed, silently portioning out Song Song’s food, seemingly completely unprepared to join the conversation.
Thus, with a hidden meaning in her words, she said, “Song Song, Mommy also had a dream last night.”
Song Song cooperatively asked, “What dream did Mommy have?”
“Mommy can’t remember clearly. I only remember…”
She deliberately drew out her syllables, looking at Song Qingpei as she drawled, “Your Mama took the initiative to kiss me.”
“Wow!”
Song Song let out a sound of awe, looking innocently at Song Qingpei. “Mama, did you secretly kiss Mommy?”
That single sentence instantly hit the bullseye for Ming Yu. She truly was her daughter.
Seeing the two of them echoing each other perfectly, Song Qingpei didn’t answer the question. Instead, she directly stuffed Song Song’s mouth with food. “Hurry up and eat, you have to go to school soon.” After saying that, she added with a pointed undertone, “No speaking while eating, no talking while sleeping5.”
Inexplicably, Ming Yu found those words a bit familiar.
As a result, the lively topic was quickly shut down, and the atmosphere at the dining table turned somewhat delicate.
Sitting between the two of them, Song Song ate her breakfast while secretly observing her Mama and Mommy’s expressions.
She could sense that the atmosphere between them was a bit off, but it didn’t seem like they were angry. She had no idea what had happened and was practically dying of curiosity.
“Mommy, why aren’t you eating breakfast?” Song Song looked up, asking innocently.
“Mommy’s not hungry. You go ahead and eat.”
Ming Yu’s gaze was locked on Song Qingpei. She inwardly chided herself—she had almost forgotten her main objective.
The matter of having Song Qingpei resign still hadn’t yielded any results. Thinking about how she had tossed and turned all last night without achieving her goal only deepened her frustrated feeling of having suffered a double loss6.
Seeing Song Qingpei still playing dumb, clearly intending to continue going to work, Ming Yu tested the waters directly: “Song Song, how about Mommy takes you to school later? Let Mama rest at home.”
Song Qingpei’s hand paused as she picked up food. She lifted her eyes, shot her a glance, and stated flatly, “I can take her. It’s more on the way to the company.”
Seeing her lay her cards on the table, Ming Yu stopped hiding it as well. Her tone held undisguised anger. “I said it before: you cannot go back to work at Blue Sea.”
Song Qingpei’s expression turned ugly. “Ming Yu, I also made it very clear to you yesterday. This job is important to me. I cannot give it up.”
“It’s just a job. Is it really that important?” Ming Yu couldn’t comprehend it. “If you want to go out and work, I can arrange something else for you, but you must resign from Blue Sea.”
Hearing this, Song Qingpei was infuriated by her domineering tone. She said angrily, “Ming Yu, I don’t want to continue this topic anymore. I have my own plans. Please respect my choices.”
“Song Qingpei, you really are incredibly stubborn.”
Song Qingpei couldn’t hold back a sarcastic retort: “Who is the stubborn one here? Do you always have to control people so overbearingly?”
The explosive tension between the two grew thicker by the second.
Frightened, Song Song widened her eyes, a trace of grievance in her voice. “Mama, Mommy, don’t fight anymore, okay?”
Both Ming Yu and Song Qingpei froze for a moment, falling silent at the same time.
“Song Song, Mama and Mommy aren’t fighting. We’re just discussing some things.” Song Qingpei stroked Song Song’s head, soothing her.
But Song Song shook her head and whispered, “But you guys looked so fierce just now… Mommy, why did you get a bad temper again? You were so gentle yesterday. You didn’t fight with Mama, and you even played with me.”
A surge of irritation washed over her. The calm on Ming Yu’s face was nearly impossible to maintain.
She truly couldn’t understand: why did everyone prefer that “Mengmeng”?
“There’s still business at Military Headquarters. I’m leaving first.”
With that said, she stood up and left the dining room, leaving Song Qingpei and Song Song looking at each other in dismay.
Song Song’s little face was blank as she asked softly, “Mama, is Mommy angry?”
Song Qingpei sighed and gently patted Song Song’s head. “It’s nothing. You eat your breakfast first; Mama will take you to school.”
Song Song nodded and lowered her head to eat her breakfast.
Thinking of the Mengmeng from last night and Ming Yu’s behavior today—it was as if they were two entirely different people. Song Qingpei silently reminded herself that, no matter what, she absolutely had to figure out why “Mengmeng” had suddenly appeared.
She couldn’t keep sinking like this anymore.
