Make Song Qingpei Take the Initiative to Mark Her

    “Jiejie~”

Song Qingpei suddenly pitched her voice sweetly, the trailing note like a honeyed hook.

Ming Yu was caught completely off guard by the saccharine address, and a fine layer of goosebumps instantly broke out across the back of her neck.

She looked at the sly amusement in Song Qingpei’s eyes and suddenly realized she had made a fatal mistakeβ€”trying to compete with Song Qingpei in shamelessness was simply asking for humiliation.

“Don’t call me that.” Ming Yu turned her face away, the tips of her ears flushed a suspicious shade of pink.

“Didn’t you tell me to call you that?”

Seeing Ming Yu embarrassed, Song Qingpei lost whatever awkwardness she had and let herself go completely. “Jiejie doesn’t like it? Should I change how I address you? Yuyu-jiejie? Admiral jiejie?”

    “Enough!”

Ming Yu stood up abruptly, pretending to turn her back to adjust her cufflinks as she changed the subject. “When you go to work at Blue Sea, you must wear the tracking bracelet twenty-four hours a day.”

Song Qingpei was somewhat speechless. “Are you treating me like a prisoner under twenty-four-hour surveillance?”

“It’s for protection,” Ming Yu explained, her expression completely serious. “Since Murong Ruixue was able to stay hidden on Planet Lan for so long, she must have extraordinary abilities. We cannot be careless.”

Knowing Ming Yu was only looking out for her, Song Qingpei reluctantly compromised. “Fine.”

Having reached an agreement and enjoying a rare moment of relaxed atmosphere, the two of them went to find their daughter.

Song Song was upstairs working on a craft project. She grew exceptionally excited when she saw them.

“Mommy! I made an interstellar warship in craft class today!” Song Song held up the model and burrowed into Ming Yu’s arms. “Teacher Li said the parents have to help finish painting it!”

Song Qingpei watched Ming Yu carefully support the “warship.” Under the warm yellow light, the Admiral looked much more pleasing to the eye than she did when wearing her military uniform and lecturing people during the day.

“Mommy, look!” The little one turned around and threw herself into Song Qingpei’s arms. “I even drew a family portrait on the warship!”

A simple stick-figure drawing on the side of the ship caught her eyeβ€”a tall stick figure in a military uniform holding hands with a small stick figure wearing a bow. Next to them stood a long-haired stick figure with an exaggerated heart drawn above her head.

“This is Mama!” Song Song pointed excitedly at the heart. “The teacher said a heart means you like them the absolute most!”

Song Qingpei was very satisfied with this. Sure enough, her sweet little padded jacket1 still liked her best.

Seeing that both her Mama and Mommy were smiling, the little one seized the opportunity to make a tiny request. “The best, best Mama in the whole world, and Mommy, can I sleep with you two tonight?”

Faced with such blatant rainbow farts2, what else could they say?

    Naturally, they agreed to it.

The Admiral didn’t even wait for Song Qingpei to respond before picking Song Song up and heading straight for Song Qingpei’s bedroom.

The family of three lay in bed, with Song Song naturally positioned in the middle.

“Song Song,” Song Qingpei asked, “which bedtime story do you want to hear tonight?”

“I want to hear about the Galactic Knight rescuing the Princess!” Song Song grabbed one of each of their hands, saying cheerfully, “The knight rides a giant mech dragon and goes pew, pew, pew to chase away all the bad guys!”

By the time they finally coaxed the little ancestor3 to sleep, it was already late at night.

Song Qingpei turned onto her side, discovering that Ming Yu had actually fallen asleep alongside their daughter. She closed her own eyes to rest.

Strangely, she couldn’t fall asleep. Instead, her body began to run a slight fever.

She knew her susceptible period had arrived. But because her pheromones had always been cold and unresponsive, she rarely suffered from these kinds of troubles and had generally never taken them seriously. This time, however, felt distinctly odd.

Song Qingpei rolled over, taking a long time to slowly drift off.

Deep into the night, she was jolted awake by the heat.

Song Qingpei blearily opened her eyes. She found that Song Song had rolled down to the foot of the bed, sprawled out spread-eagle. Meanwhile, Ming Yuβ€”who should have been sleeping on the far sideβ€”had buried her face in the crook of Song Qingpei’s neck. Her soft lips were unconsciously brushing against the gland on the back of Song Qingpei’s neck.

A wave of heat surged down her spine and spread through all her limbs and bones.

“Ming Yu?” She tried to roll over, only to be hugged even tighter.

Ming Yu’s scalding lips brushed against her gland, and Song Qingpei’s muddled thoughts suddenly clearedβ€”

    Her pheromones were losing control.

At that moment, Ming Yu finally opened her eyes. A hoarse whisper deliberately brushed past the shell of Song Qingpei’s ear. “Qingpei, you have a fever? Has your… susceptible period arrived?”

Song Qingpei felt a wave of embarrassment, her cheeks burning slightly.

She gently pushed Ming Yu away, attempting to get up and leave.

However, Ming Yu grabbed her wrist tightly. Though the grip wasn’t heavy, it carried an undeniable air that brooked no refusal.

    “…Don’t go. I’ll help you.”

There was a faint tremble in Ming Yu’s voice. Her hand slowly guided Song Qingpei’s hand, sliding it under her own clothes to touch her warm skin.

Song Qingpei’s fingertips trembled. That warm, smooth sensation made her heart race and her breathing turn erratic as reason and emotion violently clashed.

“Nβ€”no.” Song Qingpei abruptly yanked her hand back and sat up quickly from the bed.

A flash of disappointment crossed Ming Yu’s eyes. She silently watched Song Qingpei, her gaze filled with complex emotions.

Song Qingpei stood up and walked briskly to the bathroom.

She turned on the faucet and splashed cold water over her face, trying to force herself to calm down.

The running water washed over her skin, taking away some of the heat, but her heart rate refused to settle.

She stood before the mirror, looking at her flushed cheeks and hazy eyes, her heart filled with conflict and struggle. She knew what Ming Yu was thinking, but she didn’t want to just casually sleep together in a dazed haze. What she needed was to clearly define her feelings, not yield to a momentary impulse.

Song Qingpei took a deep breath, dried the water from her face, and finally walked out of the bathroom.

The moment she looked up, she met Ming Yu’s resentful gaze.

Ming Yu glared at her in dissatisfaction. “Song Qingpei, why not?”

Song Qingpei explained helplessly, “Ming Yu, I don’t want to always just sleep together in this kind of muddled confusion.”

The implication was clear: they were not lovers, so they could not do that.

Ming Yu bit her lip. Both angry and unwilling to accept defeat, she could only turn her head away and pretend to sleep.

Seeing Ming Yu lying in bed with her back turned, Song Qingpei knew she was likely angry.

But she didn’t say anything more. She simply lay down quietly and went to sleep.

Because she just went to sleep like that, the Admiral grew even angrier.

A heavy sense of defeat washed over Ming Yu once again. She was furious at Song Qingpei for being so oblivious and unromantic, yet she couldn’t help but wonderβ€”was she really that lacking in charm?

Ming Yu suffered from insomnia again, unable to stop herself from analyzing the situation. Finally, she grasped a single point of self-comfort: Song Qingpei wasn’t completely indifferent to her; at the very least, her pheromones had reacted this time.

The Admiral was immediately encouraged. She decided that she would achieve her goal during Song Qingpei’s susceptible period this time.

Making Song Qingpei take the initiative to mark her was no longer a matter of dignityβ€”it was a battle.

    And she never lost!

The next day, Ming Yu arrived early at the Federation Bureau of Investigation.

Wu Lan was already waiting for her in the office. Seeing Ming Yu enter, a predictable smile surfaced on her face.

“Admiral Ming. Coming to find me this earlyβ€”have you thought it through?”

Ming Yu looked at her coldly. Forgoing any unnecessary pleasantries, she said directly, “I agree to your proposal. I will let Song Qingpei return to work at Blue Sea. You must release your prisoner immediately.”

Hearing this, the smile on Wu Lan’s face deepened.

“No problem.” She stood up and extended a hand. “Admiral Ming, a pleasure doing business with you.”

Ming Yu ignored her outstretched hand. “Where is Ming Rui?” she asked coldly.

Wu Lan shrugged and pulled her hand back, her tone breezy. “The investigation has concluded. Ming Rui can be released immediately. However, the evidence of her abusing her authority is irrefutable. According to regulations, she needs to be suspended from duty for a period of time.”

Ming Yu didn’t say anything more. She turned and walked out of the office.

Watching her retreating back, a meaningful smile curled the corners of Wu Lan’s mouth.

Ming Yu went to the Bureau’s detention room. Ming Rui was sitting inside, her expression somewhat exhausted; it was clear she hadn’t had an easy time.

Seeing Ming Yu, she immediately stood up. “Cousin, why are you here?”

Ming Yu nodded. “Let’s go. I’m here to pick you up.”

A flash of pleasant surprise lit up Ming Rui’s eyes. “Iβ€”I can go?”

The two of them got into the car, and silence temporarily filled the vehicle.

Ming Rui glanced sideways at Ming Yu, hesitating to speak.

Catching her gaze, Ming Yu said, “If you have something to say, say it.”

Ming Rui hesitated for a moment before asking quietly, “Cousin, did you agree to Wu Lan’s conditions?”

Ming Yu didn’t answer directly; she merely nodded.

Hearing this, Ming Rui’s brow furrowed even tighter, her tone tinged with worry. “Cousin, you shouldn’t have agreed. If you let Song Qingpei go back, and something happens to her…”

Ming Yu cut her off, her tone firm. “I know what I’m doing. You don’t need to worry.”

Ming Rui sighed, knowing that once Ming Yu made a decision, no one could change it.

She fell silent for a moment before asking again, “Cousin, do you really not blame me? This time, I was the one who dragged you down.”

“Why would I blame you?” A trace of softness flashed through Ming Yu’s eyes. “This time, they were coming for me. You were simply used by her.”

Ming Rui’s eyes rimmed red, her voice choking up slightly. “Cousin… I will definitely be more careful in the future. I won’t cause you any more trouble.”

Ming Yu reached out and patted her shoulder, her tone uncharacteristically gentle. “Stop talking like this. As long as you’re alright, that’s what matters.”

The car drove into the Military Headquarters Building, and Ming Yu led Ming Rui into her office.

Pushing open the door, they found Song Xihan sitting on the sofa. Seeing them enter, she immediately stood up.

“Ming Rui, are you alright?” Song Xihan walked over and looked Ming Rui up and down carefully, her voice full of concern.

Ming Rui smiled and shook her head. “I’m fine. I made you all worry.”

“As long as you’re alright.” Song Xihan breathed a sigh of relief and suggested with a smile, “Why don’t we have dinner together tonight? It’s the perfect chance to host a welcome dinner4 for Ming Rui.”

Ming Yu nodded. “Let’s eat at my house. I’ll let Qingpei know.”

Hearing this, a teasing smile flashed in Song Xihan’s eyes. She deliberately dragged out her words. “Oh? Something’s going on. Have you two made up?”

Ming Yu glanced at her lightly, her tone calm. “Almost.”

Song Xihan and Ming Rui exchanged a glance, and both of them started laughing.

“Good luck then, Admiral Ming,” Song Xihan teased. “We’ll all be waiting for the good news.”

Ming Yu didn’t take the bait. Instead, she pivoted. “Let’s talk business. I’ve already agreed to let Song Qingpei return to work at Blue Sea to get close to Murong Ruixue. You need to hurry up and advance the military academy’s talent recruitment plan for Blue Sea. I will only feel at ease once Murong Ruixue is placed right under my nose.”

Song Xihan nodded, her expression turning serious. “Understood. I will arrange it as soon as possible.”

Ming Yu nodded, then looked at Ming Rui. “Go back and rest for now. You’ve had a hard time these past few days.”

Ming Rui murmured her agreement, turned, and left the office.

Song Xihan was preparing to follow her out when Ming Yu called out to her. “Xihan, wait a moment.”

There was a hint of hesitation in her voice.

Song Xihan turned back, raising an eyebrow. “Is there something else?”

Ming Yu remained silent for a moment, seemingly weighing her words. Finally, she spoke. “Give me your cousin’s… contact information.”

Song Xihan froze for a second before her eyes went wide with disbelief.

She looked Ming Yu up and down, a wicked grin gradually curling the corners of her mouth. “Admiral Ming, have you… finally seen the light?”

Ming Yu frowned, her tone dropping several degrees. “Cut the crap. The contact info.”

Stifling her laughter, Song Xihan pulled out her phone and quickly sent Song Xiaorou’s contact information to Ming Yu.

After hitting send, she deliberately teased, “Make sure you buy a lot. That way I can go ask my cousin for a commission.”

Ming Yu looked at her and spat out two words: “Get lost.”

Song Xihan laughed uproariously, turned, and left the office.

After finishing a long day of work, Ming Yu finally had time to handle her personal affairs.

She opened her communicator, found Song Xiaorou’s contact information, and after hesitating for a moment, sent a friend request.

The request was approved almost instantaneously.

“Admiral Ming!” Song Xiaorou’s enthusiastic voice rang out from the other end of the communicator. “What a rare guest! How were the effects of the lingerie you bought last time? I’ve got a lot of new styles in stock, do you want to take a look?”

Ming Yu thought back to that lace lingerie that had left her in such a pathetic state, and the roots of her ears burned slightly.

She cleared her throat and said, feigning composure, “Not great. Do you have anything with a better effect?”

Song Xiaorou paused for a moment before letting out a burst of meaningful laughter. “Oh my, it seems your Alpha is hard to handle! No problem, I have even heavier stuff here, guaranteed to satisfy you!”

Ming Yu frowned. Before she could even decline, Song Xiaorou had already sent over a flood of product links.

Catgirl outfits, stocking temptations, seductive pheromone perfumes… Just reading the names made her scalp go numb.

“Are these… actually effective?” Ming Yu asked, forcing back her embarrassment.

“Of course they are!” Song Xiaorou declared confidently. “These are the items my clients come back for the most. I guarantee they’ll leave your Alpha unable to stop!”

Ming Yu’s head pounded just listening to her. She simply cut her off. “Enough, just pack them all up and send them to Shanshui Manor.”

“You got it!” Song Xiaorou’s voice was brimming with excitement. “Don’t worry, Admiral Ming, I’ll definitely pick out the best ones for you!”

After hanging up the communicator, Ming Yu rubbed her temples, feeling she might have made a terrible mistake.

But she quickly convinced herself that for the sake of their future, this little sacrifice was nothing.

She dialed Butler Su’s number and instructed, “Butler Su, a package will be delivered to the manor later. Sign for it personally and have it sent to my bedroom. Whatever you do, do not let Song Qingpei see it.”

Though somewhat confused, Butler Su respectfully complied. “Yes, Admiral.”

Meanwhile, Song Qingpei was sitting on the living room sofa, boredly flipping through a mech repair manual.

Her susceptible period seemed to have arrived early; the hot tide surging through her body left her feeling irritable.

She considered whether she should take an inhibitor, but remembering that she usually just toughed it out until it passed, she dismissed the thought.

Just then, she heard a commotion from outside the door.

Looking up, she saw Butler Su directing several maids to carry a large box upstairs.

“Butler Su, what is this?” Song Qingpei asked curiously.

A quick-lipped female Alpha maid blurted out, “Oh no! Butler Su said we absolutely couldn’t let you see this!”

    Song Qingpei: …???

Butler Su looked incredibly awkward and quickly explained, “These are the Admiral’s private items. I’m taking them to her bedroom right now.”

Ming Yu’s private items? And she had specifically instructed not to let her see them?

Song Qingpei couldn’t help but grow even more curious.
