After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 117
by Little PandaFeifei’s World IF Route (1)
Being a sasaeng is wrong.
“Aaaah! Feifei! Feifei!”
“Feifei is so beautiful today!”
“Feifei! The temperature dropped today, remember to wear more clothes!”
Lin Sifei smiled and waved at everyone. “You all need to keep warm too. Go home early so you don’t freeze and catch a cold. Take care of yourselves.”
“Okay! We’ll leave after we see you off!” the fans waved back enthusiastically. No one pushed against the bodyguards; they automatically formed a path for her to pass through.
Lin Sifei glanced at the surrounding crowd, took a deep breath, and said with a smile, “Everyone should disperse soon. This is an airport, and it’s not good to disturb other people’s travel. I’ll make a finger heart for you all.”
The fans excitedly waved their light-up signs again, showing no intention of leaving.
Lin Sifei knew it was useless to persuade them, so she could only quicken her pace to leave the airport as soon as possible.
The car door closed, and Lin Sifei let out a long sigh. As soon as the car started moving, she immediately logged into her alternate account1 to check Weibo. Seeing a video posted by a fan, it looked like everyone had dispersed. She breathed a sigh of relief.
“Rest for a bit. We’re going directly to the endorsement company’s office. After this commercial shoot, there are still three more events to get to.” Her manager was scrolling through a tablet, rubbing the bridge of his nose wearily.
“Are we that busy?” Lin Sifei closed her eyes and leaned back in her seat to rest.
Just as she was drifting off, the car suddenly swerved, and she snapped her eyes open in alarm.
“What’s wrong?!”
Her manager’s brow furrowed. He leaned forward to look in the rearview mirror. “A fan is chasing the car.”
Lin Sifei frowned, a little nervous. “Don’t speed up. It’s too dangerous.”
Her manager frowned as well. This kind of sasaeng fan2 culture couldn’t be encouraged.
Fortunately, the car behind them realized it had been spotted and stopped chasing, pulling over to the side of the road.
The manager sighed in relief and told the driver to hurry up and leave.
After the commercial shoot, Lin Sifei had to rush to her next event. As she walked out the door, she saw a black car parked on the opposite side of the road and frowned.
“That car…”
Her manager looked over, his brow creasing as well. “It’s that sasaeng fan again. They actually followed us here.”
“Forget it. Let’s get to the event first. I’ll have someone go block them.” He was clearly getting impatient.
Lin Sifei didn’t have a particularly good temper when it came to sasaeng fans either. She nodded. “If it comes to a falling out, so be it. Don’t always worry about the impact.”
Her manager nodded.
When they arrived at the second location, Lin Sifei glanced behind them but didn’t see the black car. She assumed her manager had handled it and got out of the car, relieved.
But when she got out of the car after that event, she saw it again.
Her manager was dealing with other matters and hadn’t come with her. Lin Sifei just frowned, finished her event, and went straight back to the hotel.
She was very careful. On her way back, she pressed the buttons for many different floors, so the elevator’s stops would make it impossible to know her specific floor.
She pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling exhausted.
Her assistant looked at her and smiled, taking out a small handheld fan and aiming it at her. “Feifei, you should rest early today.”
Lin Sifei nodded. “I will. You get some rest too.”
After opening the door, her assistant, still worried, added, “I’m right next door. Call me if you need anything.”
“Okay.”
Lin Sifei closed the door, took off her earrings, and shed her jacket. She walked into the bathroom, turned on the tap for the bathtub, and began to remove her makeup.
As the warm water splashed on her face, Lin Sifei let her mind go blank.
She turned off the tap behind her and sank into the tub. The water’s surface rippled, the waves hitting the sides of the tub and bouncing back.
Lin Sifei stared blankly at the ripples, then submerged herself in the water.
After the bath, her whole body and mind felt refreshed. She came out humming, drying her hair with a towel.
Ding-dong. Someone was at the door.
Lin Sifei peered through the peephole. It was a hotel attendant.
She put the security chain on and pulled the door open a crack. “Can I help you?”
“Hello, someone has ordered a glass of orange juice for you.” The attendant handed her a card. “She also included a message.”
Lin Sifei took the card. The hotel’s florid script was printed on it, but the content made her heart jump.
“One moment.” She went back to grab her phone and call her assistant.
The door to the room next door opened, and Xiao Pan came out. Soon after, another male assistant ran over from a different room.
Lin Sifei relaxed and opened her door fully. “Did you guys order this for me?”
They both shook their heads.
“Then it must be a sasaeng fan.” Lin Sifei pressed her lips together and closed her eyes. “I need to change rooms. Xiao Pan, stay in the same room with me tonight.”
As she spoke, no one noticed a woman standing at the end of the hallway, frowning as she looked at the glass of orange juice.
In the end, Lin Sifei switched to a double room. For one, she would be less afraid with Xiao Pan there, and for another, she figured a sasaeng fan wouldn’t guess she’d be staying in a double.
She didn’t think the hotel had leaked her information; there was no benefit for them in doing so.
She didn’t sleep well all night. It wasn’t until the sky began to lighten at dawn that she felt a little drowsy. In a half-asleep state, her phone rang. It was her manager, calling to ask about last night.
Lin Sifei was tired as a dog. She grabbed her hair. “The sasaeng fan didn’t kill me, but I’m about to die from exhaustion.”
“You didn’t sleep well?” Her manager’s voice softened considerably. “Then get some proper rest today. I’ll push back your schedule.”
“Mm,” Lin Sifei didn’t refuse. She had always believed her health was the most important thing.
After hanging up, she pulled the covers over her head to go back to sleep.
Xiao Pan, seeing she wasn’t fully asleep yet, got up and said, “Feifei, you sleep first. I’ll order breakfast. What do you want to eat?”
“Whatever.”
Xiao Pan nodded and ordered according to her usual tastes.
With nothing to do, she sat on the bed and scrolled through her phone. As expected, Lin Sifei’s airport photos were trending again.
She smiled happily, looking at the beautiful person in the pictures.
Lin Sifei was dozing fitfully, but she was always aware that someone was beside her, so she slept quite soundly.
She could occasionally hear the mattress shift when Xiao Pan moved, but at some point, the sound disappeared.
Maybe Xiao Pan stopped moving.
But after a long time, there was still no sound.
Lin Sifei struggled between sleeping and opening her eyes. Finally, she made up her mind.
Just one look. Satisfy my curiosity, and then I can sleep in peace.
Her blurry eyes opened to a pair of long, straight legs. A woman in a hip-hugging skirt was sitting in a chair, facing her bed.
“Ah—!” Lin Sifei shot up from the bed, leaping to the floor. She spotted the air conditioner remote nearby, grabbed it, and held it in her hand—a pathetic little weapon.
The woman raised a hand. “I mean no harm. I was just worried about you.”
A sasaeng fan. The realization hit Lin Sifei instantly, but she didn’t let her guard down.
“How did you get in? Where’s my assistant?”
The woman’s expression was somewhat cold. “She went out. It seemed like she had something to do.”
Lin Sifei also grabbed her phone, watching the woman. “Why do you keep following me? Do you realize that what you’re doing is illegal? I have a right to privacy, you know?”
The woman stood up, making Lin Sifei shrink back.
“I did follow you, but I wasn’t the one who sent you juice yesterday, nor was I the one who found your room number. You should be careful. That sasaeng fan of yours is a bit crazy. I was just worried something would happen to you if you were alone, so I came to watch over you.”
Lin Sifei didn’t quite believe her.
“Of course, I’m a sasaeng fan too. I really, really like you.”
Lin Sifei looked into her eyes and saw a deep affection within them. But that affection wasn’t crazed; on the contrary, it felt comfortable.
Only then did Lin Sifei have a moment to properly look at the person before her. She was a great beauty, with an excellent figure.
It had to be said, being liked by someone like this was, in itself, a pleasant thing.
“I’ll leave when your assistant gets back.”
That one sentence instantly pulled Lin Sifei back from her daze. Her face hardened. “No. Let me be clear: I despise sasaengs. If you think this will make me like you or notice you, you’re dead wrong. I have many fans who love me. Some write me letters, they support me constantly. With so many lovely fans, why would I spare any attention for a sasaeng? You think you’re getting closer to me, but in reality, we’re growing further and further apart.”
The woman looked at her, then suddenly strode toward her.
Lin Sifei was like a bristling cat, shrinking back but still hissing, “What are you doing?! I’m warning you, don’t try anything!”
The woman stopped, her eyelashes lowering slightly, as if she were a little hurt. “I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I won’t do anything you don’t like again.”
Lin Sifei’s eyes widened in astonishment, staring at the repentant sasaeng fan before her.
Wow, she’s actually really good-looking. When she looks hurt, I kind of want to pat her head.
But she held back. She couldn’t enable a sasaeng.
But she looks so pitiful.
She restrained herself for a long time, her face turning red from the effort, and finally managed to squeeze out a single phrase: “Turn back and the shore is there.”3
The sasaeng fan seemed amused by that, a faint smile appearing on her face. “My name is Luo Ke. I hope we meet again in the future.”
“I hope it’s through proper channels next time.”
“We will.”
Lin Sifei watched the person leave, scratching her head, still a bit dazed.
Her name is Luo Ke, huh? That name sounds so familiar.
The door opened, and Xiao Pan walked in carrying a container of rock sugar bayberries. “Feifei, I bought you a snack! But takeout can’t be delivered up here, so I had to go get it myself. I had to run so far…”
Lin Sifei didn’t hear a word. Her mind was still on the sasaeng fan from a moment ago.
She looks like a working person. But she seems younger than me, a little meimei.
She’s even prettier when she smiles. I hope that after she turns over a new leaf, her outlook will be better and she’ll be able to smile more. She’d definitely charm a whole crowd of people.
She’s so beautiful. If she joined the company as a junior, I wouldn’t mind mentoring her a bit. With a face like that, she should be able to attract a huge number of fans.
“Feifei, Feifei?”
Lin Sifei snapped back to reality and saw Xiao Pan waving a hand in front of her face. She looked up. “What’s wrong?”
“Aren’t you going to have any bayberries?”
“Of course.” Lin Sifei immediately picked one up and popped it into her mouth.
Sweet and sour.
