Trending Again – Chapter 36

The strict mentor shook her head at the five individuals with a look of someone suffering from high blood pressure.

“Alright, all of you, get out. Stay… Si Meng,” the mentor gritted her teeth, emphasizing the name “Si Meng” with extra force.

The mentor pretended to be silent, silently pressuring Si Meng to show weakness. However, Si Meng seemed unaffected, skillfully finding a chair and sitting down. Pouring hot water and steeping wolfberries, she enjoyed the tranquility of the passing years.

After a while, Si Meng still wore an expression of “I don’t know anything.” The mentor held back the throbbing veins in her anger. She couldn’t get angry, even though this girl deserved a beating. Getting angry would only lead to developing crow’s feet.

“Don’t you have anything to say?” the mentor coaxed patiently.

“Oh, yes, this wolfberry is good. Can you add me as a friend and send me the link?” Si Meng squinted her eyes, clearly enjoying herself.

“Add you as a friend? Yeah right, you… Class Leader A has already told you to not be harsh,” the mentor’s tone was assertive, but a flaw still showed in her subtle expression.

Si Meng raised her left eyebrow slightly, revealing a hint of surprise. Then, with a glance of unease at the corner of her eyes, she nervously avoided the mentor’s piercing gaze.

The mentor smiled, knowing that scaring her a bit would make her stop acting tough. She offered guidance, “Don’t worry too much. If you confess everything now, I will definitely protect you.”

Si Meng rolled her eyes internally. Protect her? She guessed she would be the first one to be targeted and made an example of.

The mentor took a sip of the well-steeped wolfberry tea. It tasted good.

“Tell me, how did the students from Class A end up in our classroom?”

Si Meng bit her lip, clutching her sleeves, her little face twisted into knots. She hesitated and finally said, “Class Leader A forbade me from speaking, and this…”

The mentor grew impatient. “Don’t start and stop like this. We’re only one step away from the truth.”

“Speak up! Are you going to listen to me, your teacher, or to her?”

“Of course, I listen to my teacher.”

Si Meng gritted her teeth and spilled everything, saying, “The students from Class A were jealous of us, yes, that’s how it happened.”

The mentor facepalmed, “Why would they be jealous of you?”

“They must be jealous because we are too outstanding. That’s why they couldn’t stand it and came to pick a fight with Class C.”

The mentor breathed heavily, “Jealous of you, my foot! I don’t see where this outstandingness of yours is.”

Suppressing her anger, the mentor spoke in a gentle tone, “Then tell me, who started the fight?”

This time, Si Meng answered decisively, “Naturally, it was Class Leader A. She had been eyeing us with disdain for a while.”

Si Meng spoke with conviction, mixing seven parts truth with three parts falsehood, or perhaps it was seven parts falsehood with three parts truth. For a moment, the mentor couldn’t distinguish which parts were true and which were false. Silently, she labeled Si Meng as a “slick little liar.”

The mentor played her final card and pressed, “Did you agree with Class Leader A to make a bet? To lead Class C to victory in the elimination match?”

Si Meng knew that the mentor only had a partial understanding and just wanted to coax the words out of her. She went along with it and said, “Yes, I agreed. Everyone was fine with it. Are we not allowed to resist when we’re attacked at our doorstep? Besides, I didn’t lay a hand on anyone.”

The mentor fell silent, and Si Meng, bored, twisted her hair while standing up. Tentatively, she asked, “If there’s nothing else, can I go now?”

Si Meng took a few steps, looking back three times, hoping to make a swift escape, but she was called back.

The mentor shouted, “Wait! I still have something to tell you.”

Si Meng tilted her head in confusion, wondering what else the mentor could have to say.

“Cough, cough. Don’t worry, it’s good news. After observing you for this period of time, I feel that only you and I are on the same intellectual level, so…”

Si Meng’s internal alarm bells rang loudly. If the teacher told you there was good news, it surely meant there was bad news. If the teacher praised you excessively, then you were in trouble. They definitely wanted to exploit you and make you do all the work.

“No, no, I’m not good at all. I’ve never passed math in high school. It must be your misconception.”

The mentor was taken aback, unable to keep up with Si Meng’s leaps in thinking. This further solidified her belief that Si Meng’s high intelligence was at play.

Speaking up, the mentor said, “Don’t be modest. I’ve decided to appoint you as the Class Leader of Class C. How do you feel about that? Are you happy?”

Si Meng forced a bitter smile, tilting her head and vehemently shaking it. “No, I don’t want to be the class leader. Absolutely not.”

The mentor restrained herself and tried to coax Si Meng, saying, “Being a class leader is great. You can manage them, and everyone has to listen to you.”

Si Meng remained silent, even more reluctant to take on the role. It seemed like such a hassle.

“What about the ‘C’ position? As a class leader, you are definitely in the ‘C’ position. Um… you wouldn’t even want the ‘C’ position, would you?” the mentor continued, trying to persuade Si Meng.

Si Meng vigorously shook her head and waved her hand, trying to decline.

“Well, that’s even better. Since you’re so unwilling, I want you to be the class leader even more,” the mentor said with satisfaction, pleased with Si Meng’s wide-eyed expression. She enjoyed suppressing these rebellious youngsters.

After pondering for a moment, Si Meng decided to turn her retreat into an advance. Well, being the class leader wouldn’t be too bad.

“I can be the class leader.”

“Really?”

“But from now on, don’t bother me. I’ll do whatever I want.”

“For example?”

“Not sleeping in the dormitory.”

The mentor scratched her forehead, hesitating as she said, “That’s not really appropriate. What would you be doing so late at night?”

Si Meng smiled faintly and replied, “Doing what young people in their twenties should be doing.”

The mentor instantly understood, feeling a bit awkward. After all, she wasn’t that wild during her own twenties.

“Alright then, but make sure to come to class on time…”

“Yeah, yeah, I know. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way,” Si Meng swiftly vanished without a trace.

Today, Lin Hanyue returned from her business trip, and coincidentally, she was on vacation. A short separation is better than a honeymoon, so Si Meng put on a nice new dress and headed straight to the airport to wait for Lin Hanyue.

Rubbing her eyes, Lin Hanyue appeared as if she had just woken up. She glanced at her phone and noticed several missed calls from Si Meng. She looked at her assistant beside her.

“Didn’t I ask you to wake me up? Have I been sleeping for a long time?”

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

The assistant, feeling guilty, replied, “You haven’t had a proper rest in a long time, so I didn’t have the heart to wake you up.”

Lin Hanyue picked up her luggage herself and spoke in a cold tone, “Fine, don’t follow me.”

The assistant trembled nervously, “President, Madam asked me to follow you.”

Even though Lin Hanyue had just woken up and squinted her eyes, the gaze of a person in power still frightened the assistant into silence.

She smiled mischievously, “What’s this? Are you going to accompany me on my date? I want to spend some intimate time with my wife. Do you want to observe or imitate?”

Dragging her suitcase, Lin Hanyue wore a sleek black suit, exuding an air of elegance. She had a limited edition couple’s watch from Cynthia on her wrist. With exquisite features and a proud demeanor, her cool lips curved into a sweet smile. Despite her aloof aura, it made people hesitant to approach.

Si Meng yawned while lounging on the sofa in the VIP lounge, curling up like a small, fluffy cat that tempted people to cuddle.

“You’ve been waiting for a long time, haven’t you?” The fragrance of hyacinths permeated the air, accompanied by a deep and magnetic voice.

“You…” Si Meng opened her eyes and saw the enlarged beauty of Lin Hanyue’s face. Lin Hanyue’s agile tongue pried open Si Meng’s mouth, gradually savoring the sweetness within.

Si Meng lightly pushed her away, but she didn’t push her off completely. Instead, she closed her eyes and savored the sweetness.

“How about it? Do you miss me?” Lin Hanyue, like a child who received candy, clung tightly to Si Meng’s embrace.

“There are many people here, you…” Si Meng’s earlobes blushed, resembling ripe cherries, and her cheeks took on a slight flush.

Lin Hanyue’s forehead brushed against Si Meng’s nose, and Si Meng could feel the vibrations of her laughter and the erratic heartbeat of both of them pressed closely together.

“Si Meng.”

“Yeah?”

“Mengmeng.”

“Hmm?”

“You’re so easily shy.”

Si Meng bit her lip, her face blushing. She looked into Lin Hanyue’s smiling eyes as if silently conveying, “That’s only because I’m shy around you.”

Lin Hanyue held Si Meng’s hand, their fingers intertwined, and they walked affectionately along a small path.

“How long is your vacation this time?” Lin Hanyue asked, reaching out to embrace Si Meng’s slender waist.

“Just… one day,” Si Meng felt that their time together was too short.

“Okay, when you’re done, we’ll celebrate the New Year together,” Lin Hanyue held Si Meng even tighter, realizing that there were only two months left until the new year.

“Sure, let’s have the New Year’s Eve dinner together. It’s been a long time since I celebrated the Lunar New Year in the country,” Si Meng said.

The two of them arrived at the garage to retrieve their car and quickly returned to Lin’s residence. They took ingredients from the refrigerator, with one person handling the food preparation and the other cooking. Their coordination was seamless, as if they had been living together as a married couple for a long time.

After a satisfying meal, Si Meng went to wash up with her pajamas, only to find that Lin Hanyue followed her inside.

Si Meng: “?!?”

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

Lin Hanyue: “I want my wife to give me a back massage. My hands have been sore from typing these past few days.”

Si Meng felt a pang of envy and readily agreed, but she soon regretted it.

Lin Hanyue’s figure was just too perfect—curves in all the right places, fair and beautiful skin, and even a visible abdominal line. In contrast, Si Meng felt that she had soft and flabby flesh from top to bottom.

Si Meng quickly tilted her head to stop a nosebleed. She had thought that they would be on the same level during the exercise in the dark, but now she realized that they were different, and Lin Hanyue had an amazing body.

“Wife, do I look good?” Lin Hanyue was pleased with her performance, as it meant that Si Meng liked her.

“Y-yes, you look… good.” Si Meng was lifted into the air by Lin Hanyue and gently placed into the bathtub.

“Do you want to experience that in the bathtub?” Lin Hanyue’s eyes were slightly red, stirred by Si Meng’s teasing.

“Ge…ntle,” Si Meng gasped with her mouth open.

“Oh, what if I’m not gentle?” Lin Hanyue left a row of delicate marks along Si Meng’s slender neck.

“Um, tomorrow… I have classes.” Si Meng supported herself against the edge of the bathtub, and Lin Hanyue interlocked their fingers, deepening their intimacy.
