Panda Cub – Chapter 55.2

Vision

He Ying was jogging around the small town, breathing in the fresh air. The restless feeling from yesterday had slowly calmed down, and she even started to find her behavior yesterday a bit silly. She knew what Jing Dan’s temperament was like, so what was the point of pressuring her like that?

Since she was the one who first developed feelings for her, she should be more patient with her.

While running and pondering, He Ying also realized that she had acted foolishly last night, allowing herself to be provoked by Bian Fengyu.

However, unbeknownst to her, Jing Dan had already woken up in her room.

Jing Dan’s eyes opened suddenly, and then she began to breathe heavily, her face pale and a look of panic in her eyes.

After waking up, Jing Dan instinctively wanted to find He Ying. However, when she turned to look at the other side of the bed, besides the slightly wrinkled sheets indicating someone had slept there, the person who should have been lying there was nowhere to be found.

She got up, not even bothering to put on her shoes, and started stepping on the floor directly. She first looked in the bathroom, then the balcony, and searched the entire room, but still couldn’t see He Ying.

Feeling increasingly distressed, the feeling of panic drove her to just want to see He Ying as soon as possible. She opened the door, intending to go to the first floor to find her. The people who were originally on the first floor were stunned when they saw her in her nightclothes, barefoot, with a somewhat unpleasant expression as she descended the stairs. Even the crew filming the show following her didn’t know if they should continue filming.

Jing Dan ignored them all, she only wanted to find He Ying now. She searched the first floor thoroughly, but still couldn’t find He Ying anywhere.

Did she leave?

In Jing Dan’s dizzy mind, there was only one thought at this moment.

“President Jing, what are you looking for? Teacher He? Teacher He went out for a morning run.” Zheng Weiyi cautiously spoke up.

Jing Dan paused, then suddenly looked towards the direction of the door.

After finishing her run, He Ying went to a breakfast shop and casually bought some breakfast. As she stepped into the entrance of the guesthouse with her breakfast, she noticed Jing Dan inside, still in a deep blue nightgown and barefoot. She paused for a moment.

Before she could react, Jing Dan completely disregarded the cobblestone path between the inner room and the entrance. She ran towards He Ying and tightly hugged her, even adding a hint of grievance in her voice, saying, “Where did you go?”

He Ying quickly lifted her up, handed the breakfast to Zheng Weiyi who had followed them, and then held Jing Dan’s legs around her waist. Not wanting others to see Jing Dan in her current state, she comforted her softly as they went upstairs to their room, saying, “I went for a run, what’s wrong?”

Jing Dan’s behavior today was incredibly unusual, as it was uncommon for her to get up and urgently search for her like this.

Apart from the two of them, everyone else was left bewildered by the morning’s events, especially seeing the usually aloof Jing Dan frantically searching for He Ying in such a dependent manner, which truly surprised them!

Among these people, Bian Fengyu had the most unpleasant expression. He sneered briefly, his eyes flashing with something.

He Ying carried Jing Dan back to the room, closed the door with her foot after entering, and softly asked, “What’s wrong? Did something happen?”

But in this situation, what could possibly happen to make her ignore appearances like this?

Jing Dan held her tightly and refused to let go. In a voice filled with grievance and trembling, she said, “I’m dead, I’m dead!”

He Ying’s steps faltered slightly as she walked towards the bed, then quickened her pace to reach it. She sat down and let Jing Dan sit on her lap, embracing each other face to face. She gently stroked her back and softly said, “How could that be? You’re alive and well right now. Look, you can still hear me speaking, and I’m holding you right now. How could you be dead?”

But seeing Jing Dan’s frantic appearance, she didn’t seem to be pretending. Yet, she was right in front of her. Could it be that she had a nightmare?

Jing Dan shook her head, her voice still trembling uncontrollably, “I died, died so lonely, with no one by my side, just quietly waiting for death and watching my body slowly disappear!”

The more she spoke, the more uncomfortable Jing Dan felt. Her nose was already red, and it seemed like tears were about to fall.

Seeing her like this, He Ying’s heart tightened instantly. She glanced at the camera inside the room, then carried Jing Dan into the bathroom, closing the door tightly. She placed her on the washstand, rubbed her face, and said, “Are you dreaming?”

Jing Dan stared blankly at He Ying, her eyes moist, looking extremely aggrieved.

She truly felt so lonely in death.

Seeing her like that, He Ying’s mind went blank for a moment. She gently placed a kiss on Jing Dan’s eyelids. Witnessing her distressed appearance, even her own heart began to feel a pang of sadness. Her voice trembled slightly as she reassured, “It’s okay, it was just a dream. Dreams are the opposite, so look, you’re alive and well now. You have family, friends, and me by your side, you’re not alone at all.”

The soft touch of her lips on her eyelids carried a sense of tender affection, which gradually calmed Jing Dan’s emotions. She rested her head against He Ying’s collarbone, feeling somewhat embarrassed by her previous panicked state.

He Ying lowered her gaze, soothingly rubbing Jing Dan’s head and saying, “It’s okay, you have us by your side. You’re living well, and we won’t let you feel lonely.”

While saying these words, He Ying had a thoughtful look in her eyes, pondering just how real a dream must be to affect Jing Dan this way.

Jing Dan softly murmured in agreement, still feeling a bit shy as she lifted her head.

He Ying chuckled softly, feeling an extra sense of tenderness, and held Jing Dan, allowing her to curl up as much as she wanted.

After some time, Jing Dan softly said, “I want to drink milk.”

He Ying chuckled lightly, “Alright~ I’ll go downstairs to make milk for you now. Can you wash up by yourself first?”

Jing Dan got up from her and nodded with her head lowered.

He Ying affectionately rubbed her head, then went out, making sure to close the bathroom door behind her on her way out.

After He Ying left, Jing Dan lowered her head, covering her face with her hands, feeling ashamed of her previous behavior. The belated embarrassment was almost engulfing her completely.

Downstairs, as He Ying left, Zheng Weiyi cautiously approached and asked, “Is President Jing okay?”

Jing Dan’s earlier appearance was really frightening.

He Ying shook her head, smiling softly, “She’s fine, just had a bad dream.”

Upon hearing this, Zheng Weiyi breathed a sigh of relief, glad that nothing serious had happened.

Without elaborating further with them, He Ying prepared the milk and went upstairs to find Jing Dan.

Upon entering the room, Jing Dan was already prepared and dressed in casual and comfortable clothes. When she looked at He Ying, she seemed a bit embarrassed.

He Ying smiled gently, choosing not to bring up the earlier incident. She simply handed the milk to Jing Dan and asked, “They’ve all had breakfast, so what would you like for breakfast later? Shall I make it for you?”

Upon hearing this, Jing Dan’s previous worries vanished. Feeling reassured, she confidently started listing her breakfast preferences. After all, since the others had already eaten, there was no need to worry about them sampling He Ying’s cooking!

Listening to her increasingly cheerful voice, He Ying chuckled inwardly and agreed to all her requests.

When the two of them went downstairs, the others were tacitly avoiding any mention of the earlier incident, which helped alleviate Jing Dan’s embarrassment.

He Ying went into the kitchen to prepare food for Jing Dan, while Jing Dan couldn’t engage with the others in conversation, so she joined He Ying in the kitchen. This left the rest of the group to play a card game together outside.

As Jing Dan entered, He Ying handed her a pan-fried dumpling that had just cooled down a bit, teasingly asking, “Have I made any mistakes today?”

Jing Dan took a bite, her eyes lighting up slightly as she shook her head and mumbled, “You did great!”

Anything made by He Ying never turned out to be a failure!

Seeing Jing Dan’s reaction, He Ying’s smile deepened, and the two of them chatted and ate in the kitchen without the need to move their food to the outdoor dining table. In this setup, Jing Dan also finished her meal.

After the two of them finished eating and cleaned up, the director came out.

“Today, there is a mission. Each pair of CP must find someone willing to hire you for a task. After completing the task for each other, the employer will provide you with funds. With the funds, as requested by fans, you need to go to the city to watch a movie that fans have specifically named.”

Everyone: “…”

Fans want them to watch a movie, and they have to earn their own money for it?!

Jing Dan had never seen the process of the program before and obviously had no idea about this kind of operation. She was feeling a bit confused.

Upon hearing this request, He Ying was also momentarily stunned, then chuckled lightly, “Alright, let’s go out and find some work first.”

Since the show didn’t require everyone to gather together, He Ying had no intention of sticking with the group. She didn’t mind the others, but she found Bian Fengyu’s mentality to be unpleasant to be around.

Bian Fengyu, who had originally wanted to team up with them, watched as they decisively left, his expression darkening slightly.

His partner glanced at him, feeling even more determined to break away from him. This person was bound to cause trouble sooner or later!

He Ying took Jing Dan out, but they didn’t rush to find job opportunities. Instead, recalling Jing Dan’s demeanor that morning, she was concerned that Jing Dan might be holding something back. So she said to her, “This morning when I was out for a run, I happened to see a large bamboo forest behind the town. It’s the season for bamboo shoots to grow, shall we go dig some?”

For this panda cub, digging bamboo shoots should be the most relaxing activity for her, right? Remembering the first time she saw this guy, wasn’t she digging bamboo shoots with her little butt sticking out?

The fact that she never forgot to dig bamboo shoots to eat showed how much she loved this activity.

As expected, He Ying saw Jing Dan’s eyes light up slightly, but soon her expression became hesitant. She said, “But if we go to dig bamboo shoots, we won’t have time to look for work, what should we do?”

He Ying reached out to her, reassuringly saying, “It’s okay. We’re looking for work to earn money to buy movie tickets. The important thing is money. If we dig up plenty of bamboo shoots, we can sell them. That way, we’ll have money, right?”

Upon hearing this, Jing Dan felt reassured and followed He Ying towards the bamboo forest she mentioned.

The cameraman following them muttered to himself, “Can it really be like this?”

After seeking approval from the director and receiving a positive response, he didn’t dwell on it anymore. He hoisted the camera and followed closely behind them.

As he watched the matching duo in the camera, their every move exuding tranquility, with a hint of pink bubbles seeming to float around, he couldn’t help but break into a soft, auntie-like smile.

So sweet! No wonder those online fans are going crazy over them!

He Ying brought Jing Dan to borrow bamboo shoot digging tools from nearby residents before entering the bamboo forest. Luckily, their clothing was practical, so navigating the slightly uneven terrain was not a problem.

Once inside the bamboo forest, it felt like Jing Dan’s domain. Watching Jing Dan effortlessly move through the forest, the cameraman trailing behind couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed. Why couldn’t he, a grown man, walk as gracefully and beautifully as Jing Dan!

He Ying was unfazed by the terrain and joined Jing Dan in searching for spring bamboo shoots. Jing Dan’s ability to locate the shoots was outstanding. Before He Ying could react, she had already led He Ying to a spring bamboo shoot, and started digging with a small shovel.

Seeing Jing Dan so happy, He Ying smiled gently and squatted down beside her, helping her dig around the shoot with the shovel.

She hoped that she would always be this happy in the future.

Last night, when I checked the backstage, I suddenly found several comments that were deleted after review. I looked at them and didn’t see anything wrong. The probability of mistakenly deleting them is too high!

I post updates every day, how many comments could there be? And they still got deleted! (Angry)
