Ex-Girlfriend – Chapter 105

B U G Arc

Exam God 12

A wet sensation crept up her neck, feeling rather peculiar.

That sensation was so unfamiliar, causing Xin Lan to furrow her brow as she leaned into the embrace of Wan Yan. Her eyes were filled with fluctuating thoughts.

She didn’t dislike this feeling, in fact, there was a faint sense of excitement.

It made her dizzy, it made her tremble, it made her excited…

Wait a minute!

“Something’s not right.”

Xin Lan frowned, a flush spreading across her fair complexion.

“What’s wrong?”

Wan Yan raised her hand to wipe away the dampness on Xin Lan’s neck and asked softly.

There was no visible change in her expression, but inside, her heart was racing with excitement.

So happy.

Seeing the little tiger maid outfit, giving kisses, licking, and hugging, all in one go—fulfillment!

“My body feels a bit strange, but the reaction isn’t severe. Are you okay?”

Xin Lan steadied herself, her hands gripping the railing.

“I’m fine.”

Wan Yan licked her own teeth, lost in thought.

The fangs might not have retracted yet, that’s why they haven’t gone away.

She thought those teeth were merely decorative, never realizing they actually had a practical function?

She recalled that vampires injected something into their prey’s body while feeding, to prevent them from struggling, making their bodies go soft and inducing some pleasure during the feeding.

So, does this mean Xin Lan…

But Xin Lan kept her head down, and Wan Yan couldn’t see her expression.

She had never seen that expression on her face before, just the thought of it was a bit overwhelming.

And she knew Xin Lan must not want her to see it, so she simply stayed by her side in silence.

One or two minutes later, Xin Lan’s expression returned to normal as she raised her head and glanced at the clock.

“There’s still an hour and a half.”

(Originally translated on littlepandatranslations.com, let's go!)

With half of the time remaining, besides the two of them, only one person was still alive.

The girl that had just sold them out was already lifeless on the ground.

Her eyes were wide open, filled with unwillingness and fear.

Someone walked by and gave her a kick; her head rolled on the ground, and the rest of her body had already been devoured.

The squeaky sounds of footsteps echoed on the stairs, and Xin Lan looked over, seeing the owner of the castle.

He looked emaciated and thin, and his shoes, made of an indistinguishable material, made a sound when they touched the steps.

“Alice…” He twitched his nose and grinned at Xin Lan, “Come here, my beloved child.”

Xin Lan remained cautious as she approached.

“Follow me.”

He smiled and walked upstairs.

Wan Yan felt a bit uneasy and took a step forward.

“Guests, please continue with the evening’s festivities.”

The castle owner turned his head and smiled at Wan Yan.

His face was pale and gaunt, but his head was disproportionately large, supported by a slender neck that looked like it could fall off at any moment.

Xin Lan gestured to Wan Yan, reassuring her that everything would be fine and indicating that she could proceed.

If any unexpected situation were to arise, they could communicate through their secret code.

The squeaky sounds continued on the stairs, and Xin Lan was well aware that danger awaited ahead; she had been on high alert.

She arrived in the room she had visited before, where the castle owner placed his black coat on the coat rack and caressed the portrait of the woman.

The woman in the portrait’s eyes seemed to move, as if responding.

“In fact, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a human as fresh as you. Your blood is so fragrant, you’ve completely exposed yourself.”

He said with a sinister grin and suddenly lunged toward Xin Lan.

He was quite tall, a towering two meters, and when he stood up, he seemed to envelop the room like a dark cloud. However, his height also made his movements somewhat sluggish, and Xin Lan agilely dodged him.

The room’s door slammed shut abruptly, as if by a gust of wind, or perhaps by some unknown force propelling it.

He chuckled eerily, seemingly convinced that Xin Lan couldn’t escape his grasp.

Xin Lan didn’t just evade; she used the surroundings to bounce off and kicked him in the chest.

His body swayed a bit, but it didn’t seem to have done much damage.

“Give up the struggle, my dear, and be my meal.”

Xin Lan launched another attack, but found it difficult to bring him down.

She had exerted all her strength, and if it were an ordinary person, they would have been kicked to death by her. However, this person had only been slightly shaken.

If this were a test, there must be a way to pass it.

These monsters had such high combat abilities, and the examinees accompanying her, except for Wan Yan, were all ordinary people.

Entering this kind of test didn’t necessarily mean certain death; the creators of this scenario wouldn’t set it up that way.

The previous dangers in the castle, like the woman in the portrait or the hand, didn’t require direct combat. Others just needed to touch them, and they would dissipate. So as long as they stayed together as a group, they could largely avoid these dangers. The threats posed by these NPCs must have some solution.

Xin Lan thought of the privileges on the card and silently activated it.

Her hands and teeth underwent a transformation; her hands turned into wolf-like claws, and the sharp nails glinted in the light.

Xin Lan attacked again, slashing her claws through the castle owner’s arm.

It worked as expected.

This thing couldn’t just be a mere decoration. If it were, she wouldn’t have had that sensation when Wan Yan sucked on her.

【Host, do you need to summon Commander to help?】

No need.

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

She was sufficient on her own.

The card read: “Don’t let NPCs discover your identity.” She had already been discovered, but that didn’t mean she was out of the game just like that.

So, that meant there was another possibility.

That possibility was to let the NPC die.

If the NPC didn’t discover her identity and the NPC died, then it wouldn’t count as being found out, would it?

The rules concealed many implied meanings, and one had to dig them out for themselves.

Her wolf-like claws were sharp enough, and her movements were agile as she stepped onto the wall, leaving a footprint there.

The castle owner, tall as he was, moved somewhat clumsily, and now, injured and half-kneeling from Xin Lan’s kick, he was thoroughly enraged.

“Ruxiu!”

He shouted, opening the door from within.

Upon hearing the owner’s call, Ruxiu responded with an excited roar.

It came bounding out of the wooden door, and at that moment, Xin Lan finally got a clear view of it.

Ruxiu was a black creature with green eyes, radiating an air of majesty.

Its teeth were sharp and pointed, its mouth open, with saliva dripping onto the floor.

“Ruxiu! Bite her to death!”

The castle owner gave the command, expecting his beloved beast to carry it out. However, he watched as Ruxiu’s legs trembled, and the creature retreated into the room.

“Ruxiu! What are you doing? Get up!”

He was getting irritated and shouted in anger.

Ruxiu made a whimpering sound from its mouth, looking rather reluctant.

Xin Lan stood up straight and let out a mocking laugh.

She had taught this thing a lesson not too long ago, pounding it to the ground, and it probably still remembered.

Seeing that Ruxiu was unreliable, the castle owner’s face darkened as he stepped aside.

Drip—drip.

Xin Lan seemed to hear this somewhat familiar sound and moved to the side.

Red drops of blood fell to the ground, seeping into the cracks.

Xin Lan remembered seeing a similar situation in another examiner’s room earlier.

The ceiling was covered in bloodstains, still liquid and emitting a foul odor.

Xin Lan looked up, her gaze fixed on the ceiling, while also keeping a wary eye on the castle owner.

Her fingers tingled slightly, as if reminding her that her time with this privilege was limited.

Without hesitation, Xin Lan rushed towards the castle owner.

A swipe of her claw resulted in nothing more than a scratch; there was no blood.

She had just noticed that this person seemed to have skin but no flesh.

The castle owner’s body swayed, and Xin Lan, using a desk as leverage, twisted his neck.

However, to her surprise, his half-dangling head fell crookedly straight to the ground.

At that moment, the privilege disappeared, and her claws and fangs were gone.

With no head on the body, the skeleton collapsed as if it had been piled up, crashing to the ground.

The massive head gradually turned into powder, leaving no trace of the body behind.

Xin Lan wasn’t sure if this was an NPC’s disguise or the situation after an NPC’s death, but considering that she wasn’t judged to have failed the test, it seemed to be the latter.

Drip—drip.

The sound grew louder.

When Xin Lan had acted earlier, the blood drops from the ceiling hadn’t stopped falling; instead, they increased in number, pooling in one spot and spreading to other areas.

Xin Lan had a bad feeling and tried to open the door, but she found it tightly shut.

The flow of blood on the floor was getting faster, and suddenly, it surged in Xin Lan’s direction.

What disgusting thing was this?

Xin Lan kicked the door, and it slightly gave way.

The blood on the floor kept increasing, and it seemed that even Ruxiu was feeling uneasy about it, as it ran into the room it had been staying in.

Amidst the surging blood, a blood-red tentacle suddenly extended, reaching for Xin Lan.

Xin Lan dodged, but the tentacles emerging from the blood kept multiplying.

One of them coiled around her hand, and when Xin Lan tried to pull it off, she found her hand covered in blood, and the tentacle passed straight through it.

The blood was icy and sticky, but the thing entwined around her hand began to pull.

This blood seemed to have a slight corrosive quality, melting her clothing slightly.

Her maid outfit, originally black and white lace, now had numerous tears.

Xin Lan asked Zero Nine to find Wan Yan; most likely, this was another unexpected event within the castle. It would be easily solved with the presence of companions, but she couldn’t handle it alone.

The blood tendrils continued to multiply, entwining her hands and feet.

She had the strength, but she couldn’t pull or tear them apart because they were like liquid, and liquids couldn’t be severed.

When Wan Yan opened the door from the outside, this bizarre scene greeted her.

The blood-red tentacles coiled around Xin Lan, and the torn parts of her outfit revealed her fair skin. If it weren’t for the wrong time, place, and everything else, there would indeed be a peculiar erotic sense to it.

Wan Yan didn’t think too much about it and went over to grasp the blood-red tendrils. Just as Xin Lan was about to pull and struggle, the ‘drip’ sound stopped.

The blood on the floor and ceiling vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

Xin Lan stood in place, feeling a chill on her exposed skin.

The thigh-high stockings she wore had been corroded to the point of almost disintegration. She wore a cold expression, feeling quite annoyed.

Fortunately, not much was exposed—just a few small tears on her sleeves, back, and in front.

“I took a bit too long earlier; I should have arrived sooner. I made a discovery.”

“Killing an NPC doesn’t count as being discovered?”

“That’s right.”

Wan Yan snapped her fingers; when she arrived, she had also dealt with a troublesome NPC.

Xin Lan looked up, a faint smile on her lips.

Their eyes met, and there was perfect understanding between them.
