    Touch Me

“Stop playing dumb. Mark me,” Ming Yu said, speaking the most intimate words in the most indifferent voice.

Song Qingpei’s fists clenched, but she didn’t move.

She didn’t like this kind of emotionless marking at all. In fact, she hated it.

Ming Yu had the same face, yet it felt as if she were using this cruel method to slowly pollute their past, gradually erasing her wife in her heart.

Could she not even leave her with a single beautiful memory?

But Ming Yu was unaware of her complex inner thoughts. She only felt that Song Qingpei was putting on airs,1 trying to prove her own worth in order to gain more bargaining chips for negotiations with her.

Her voice dropped even lower, laced with a threat. “Song Qingpei, be sensible. Don’t provoke—”

Before she could say the word ‘me’, Song Qingpei moved close to the gland on her neck and bit down hard. It was as if she were venting all her anger, disappointment, and the tangled mess of love and hate, grinding her teeth as she forcefully injected her Alpha pheromones into Ming Yu’s gland.

    “Ngh~”

Caught off guard, Ming Yu let out a muffled grunt.

She first shot Song Qingpei an angry glare, but her body was quickly softened by the injected pheromones. She staggered, instinctively grabbing the arm of the person beside her to steady herself. Her warning glare transformed into one tinged with both anger and allure, the corners of her eyes flushing red and stained with a hint of spring.

Ming Yu was exceptionally beautiful; otherwise, Song Qingpei wouldn’t have failed to resist the temptation back then, a single misstep that had led to eternal regret.

Once, she had thought she would never tire of looking at this face, as radiant as a peach blossom. But at this moment, as she gazed at Ming Yu’s flushed face, while her heart wasn’t exactly as still as water, she could now easily control her amorous thoughts.

    Her pheromones remained completely placid.

Like a block of wood, Song Qingpei coldly watched Ming Yu clutch her arm, struggling to keep her trembling body from falling into her embrace. A twisted sense of pleasure even began to rise in her heart.

So what if she was the proud Admiral Ming Yu? She couldn’t control her own desires either.

Perhaps from being suppressed for the past few days, she felt she was about to go mad from the frustration. A derisive laugh escaped her lips.

Ming Yu’s head snapped up, her eyes as cold as a frozen river staring straight at her. The smile was still on Song Qingpei’s face, not yet faded. It was like a resounding slap, striking her hard across the face.

    “You dare laugh at me!”

Already exceptionally sensitive about this matter, Ming Yu’s anger flared, and she swung a hand toward Song Qingpei’s face.

Song Qingpei took a step back, easily dodging it.

But Ming Yu had already been holding onto Song Qingpei’s arm. Unsteady on her feet, she was pulled off-balance by Song Qingpei’s movement and stumbled directly into her arms, making it look as if she were throwing herself at her.

Song Qingpei, however, very properly steadied Ming Yu. Once she was stable, Song Qingpei took a step back, putting distance between them.

Ming Yu’s pupils contracted sharply, her expression so dark it looked like it could drip water.

“Song Qingpei, don’t refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit!”2

Song Qingpei had no desire for further conflict with Ming Yu. That laugh had been involuntary, and in hindsight, she felt it was meaningless.

She lowered her gaze. “My apologies.”

Song Qingpei’s attitude only made Ming Yu feel incredibly frustrated, like landing a punch in a pile of cotton3—utterly useless.

In just a few days, this person seemed to be slowly becoming more difficult to handle. Right now, her entire body was burning up, and she had little energy to waste on such squabbles. Yet, she was unwilling to let it go so easily.

They stood in a silent standoff for a long time.

    “Soothe me.”

Ming Yu gritted her teeth, finally forcing the two words out.

    Song Qingpei still didn’t move.

Ming Yu was exasperated. “Song Qingpei, I told you to soothe me.”

She looked up, her clear, bright eyes meeting Ming Yu’s. “How?”

Ming Yu’s eyes were fixed on Song Qingpei’s face, as if trying to confirm something.

Song Qingpei remained impassive, calmly meeting her gaze.

Suddenly, Ming Yu’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “Song Qingpei, are you courting death by retaliating against me?”

    “I wouldn’t dare.”

Meeting her bone-chilling gaze, Song Qingpei explained flatly, “I truly don’t know what to do. You only asked for a bite mark marking. I’ve done that. Do you need me to do it again?”

This rigid, cold attitude made even Ming Yu, who was deep in the throes of heat, cool down a few degrees. It was more effective than an inhibitor.

Suppressing her anger, Ming Yu sneered, “It’s not like you’ve never done it before. Do I have to teach you something like this?”

As if finally seizing an opportunity, Song Qingpei retorted, “Weren’t you the one who told me to only give you a bite mark marking and not to touch where I shouldn’t? I’d rather not break any taboos and get thrown in the Confinement Bay again.”

The resentment in her words was so thick that Ming Yu wouldn’t have believed she wasn’t retaliating.

But in this situation, she couldn’t find any words to refute her. She could only grit her teeth. “Right now, I am allowing you to touch me.”

“Touch where?” Song Qingpei asked with a perfectly straight face.

Ming Yu’s face turned ashen. She was too angry to say another word. She understood that if she continued this argument, she would only make a fool of herself, which would be exactly what this woman wanted.

She took a step forward. Song Qingpei immediately looked at her warily.

Ming Yu gave a cold laugh, grabbed Song Qingpei’s arm, and pressed her hand against her waist, traced it in a circle, and then moved it slowly upward, ordering in a hoarse voice, “Touch anywhere you want from here up. Stop when I tell you to stop. Any more questions?”

Her brazen attitude, in turn, made Song Qingpei freeze on the spot.

Seeing Song Qingpei’s stunned expression, the knot of frustration in Ming Yu’s heart loosened slightly.

She let go of Song Qingpei’s hand and sat back down on the edge of the bed, urging, “Begin.”

Song Qingpei had no choice but to comply. She walked over, her fingers tracing a path over Ming Yu’s waist, exploring their way up until they trembled to a halt at a certain spot.

Ming Yu’s breath hitched, and her heart felt as if it had skipped a beat.

She gripped Song Qingpei’s hand tightly, her deep, raspy voice filled with restrained tension. “Don’t stop.”

Song Qingpei’s fingers had to continue their slow journey upward, gently squeezing the gland on her neck.

A shudder ran through Ming Yu’s entire body, as if an electric current had shot through her, making her skin turn scorching hot.

She pressed her lips tightly together, enduring the tingling numbness that spread through her body. She could only feel those burning fingers moving inch by inch over her shoulder, her collarbone, and then downward…

Ming Yu’s throat felt dry, and the desire in her eyes grew more intense.

Song Qingpei’s fingers caressed slowly, as if casting a spell. Every touch made her heart race.

Her body grew tighter and tighter, her breathing heavy. Fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and the rich scent of her pheromones swirled around her, stripping away all reason, driving her to the brink of madness.

Ming Yu didn’t know what she was hoping for.

I must be truly insane, she thought, insanely craving intimate contact with a woman.

This person was right in front of her. Her reason collapsed in an instant. Ming Yu abruptly turned, grabbed Song Qingpei’s collar, and pulled her down. The distance between them closed instantly, so close they could feel each other’s breath.

Ming Yu looked at Song Qingpei’s still-calm face and remembered her earlier sneer. She felt increasingly uncomfortable, wanting to see her just as flustered, to tear off that placid mask and make her panic. Yet, even more than that was a deep-seated craving for limitless intimacy.

And so, she pinched Song Qingpei’s chin and kissed her fiercely.

Song Qingpei’s body went rigid. A crack appeared in her previously calm expression. She stared, stunned, at the face so close to hers. Her mind went completely blank with a roar.

Ming Yu kissed her, her nimble tongue slipping into her mouth, coiling around hers in a fierce tangle, as if punishing her, and as if venting.

She couldn’t manage to resist Ming Yu’s aggressive kiss. She even began to respond, somewhat passively.

Until Ming Yu suddenly pulled back, shoved her away forcefully, and, while touching her own red lips, stood up to grab a cup of water and rinse her mouth.

She spat the water out and said coldly, “It’s over.”

Song Qingpei snapped back to her senses. Seeing the undisguised disgust in Ming Yu’s eyes, she felt as if her heart were being twisted by a knife.

She gritted her teeth. “Can I go now?”

    “You may.”

Song Qingpei turned away, not sparing Ming Yu another glance, and strode out with hurried, unsteady steps.

Ming Yu watched the door close, her thoughts gradually returning. As she recalled what had just happened, she felt a pang of regret.

She had actually been unable to stop herself from kissing Song Qingpei. All she had needed was a temporary marking to soothe her pheromones; such an intimate act should never have occurred.

    But…

Her body had honestly betrayed her reason.

This kind of loss of control must never happen again, she warned herself silently.
