Top-Tier Omega: Chasing Alpha to the Crematorium – Chapter 3
by Little PandaThe Heat Came Early
Little Song Song was very clever. She had been hiding by the door the whole time, secretly listening to the commotion outside.
What were Mama and Mommy talking about?
Unfortunately, the sound was too faint through the door. She couldn’t hear clearly, only vaguely catching that they kept saying “daughter.” And Mama’s voice was very loud, not at all like the gentle way she usually spoke to her.
And that pretty Auntie⦠no, her new Mommy, sounded really fierce. It was scary.
Could they be fighting?
They also mentioned “daughter,” which had to be her. Were they fighting because of her?
Song Song immediately grew nervous. She secretly opened the door a crack and poked her little head out furtively, trying to hear more clearly.
A little closerβ¦ but why couldn’t she hear anything?
Anxious, Song Song opened the door a little wider and poked her head out further.
In a moment of carelessness, she lost her balance, and her short little legs tripped over each other.
Thump!
She tumbled out of the room headfirst, landing flat on the floor in a round little heap.1
“Waaah!”
Song Song let out a milky little shriek.
Hearing the cry, both women lunged toward her almost simultaneously.
Ming Yu was more agile. She reached Song Song first, helping her up from the floor and examining her carefully. “Song Song, are you okay?”
Wuwu~ So embarrassing.
Song Song lowered her head in embarrassment and mumbled in a small voice, “I’m okay.”
Seeing her shyness, Song Qingpei deliberately teased her, “What’s wrong, Song Song? Are you practicing somersaults?”
Song Song’s face turned red. “Mama, you’re so mean!”
This little interlude broke the tense atmosphere between the two, and a temporary balance was reached.
Seeing that the two of them weren’t talking, Song Song blinked, confused.
So weird. Why weren’t Mama and Mommy as close as the people she saw on TV? Weren’t they supposed to kiss and hug?
She couldn’t help but ask Song Qingpei in earnest, “Mama, were you and Mommy fighting just now?”
Song Qingpei froze, thinking Song Song had overheard their argument. She quickly explained, “Song Song, we were just talking a little loudly. We weren’t fighting.” After speaking, she habitually shot Ming Yu a look.
The moment she did, she regretted it. The Ming Yu who had regained her memories would never play along with her again.
But to her surprise, Ming Yu actually cooperated. “Don’t be scared, Song Song. We weren’t fighting.”
This only confused the little girl more. She tilted her head and muttered to herself, “So strange. If you weren’t fighting, then why don’t Mama and Mommy kiss and hug? Mommy is supposed to cry in Mama’s arms and say, ‘Wuwu~ I missed you so much.’ And Mama should hold Mommy and say, ‘Baby, don’t cry, I missed you too,’ and then they kiss⦔
As Ming Yu’s expression grew darker and darker, Song Qingpei quickly covered her daughter’s chattering mouth.
Song Song’s eyes widened. “Mmph mmph mmph~”
Song Qingpei looked mortified but had to explain patiently, “Song Song, that’s all just acting on TV. You can’t take it seriously. No more nonsense, understand?”
Ming Yu slapped away the hand covering Song Song’s mouth and shot her a glare. “What kind of unhealthy things have you been showing her? Is this how you’ve educated her for the past three years?”
Song Qingpei was speechless.
It was just some melodramatic soap operas. Was it necessary to blow things out of proportion like this?2
Song Qingpei remained silent. Ming Yu was extremely dissatisfied with her nonchalant attitude and said coldly, “Song Qingpei, I don’t care if you have no ambition for yourself, but Song Song will have to be properly educated when she returns with me. Please do not interfere with her education from now on.” The disdain in her voice was undisguised.
She knew Ming Yu looked down on her after regaining her memories, but that didn’t mean Song Qingpei would accept such a condescending accusation. She frowned and retorted, “I admit, you are far more outstanding than I am, but that doesn’t mean I have to unconditionally accept⦔
“Song Qingpei, you are not qualified to negotiate terms with me.”
Ming Yu mocked her with near cruelty. “The arguments of the weak are never anything more than excuses for their own incompetence.”
The words were truly hurtful. Song Qingpei was so angered that she spoke without thinking. “Heh~ It’s better not to be so harsh. As strong as you are, Admiral Ming Yu, didn’t you also have a time when you were stranded on the Garbage Planet, looking pathetic⦔
Ming Yu squeezed two words through her teeth: “Shut up!”
The Garbage Planet was the shame of her life, her reverse scale3 that could not be touched.
Especially whenever she thought about how she had humbly begged a low-grade Alpha for pleasure, even crying, begging for mercy, and sinking into depravity beneath that person, she hated it so much her eyes felt like they would split with rage.
And this low-grade Alpha dared to spout such nonsense in front of her. It was an insult. One day, she would make her pay a painful price for today’s transgressions.
A sharp glint flashed in Ming Yu’s eyes. Song Qingpei could clearly feel her killing intent, just as intense as it had been when she first recovered her memories.
Even after so long, her heart couldn’t help but feel waves of pain, as if something buried in the softest part of her heart could be dug up at any moment, causing her heart-wrenching agony.
Involuntarily, her hand gripped the hem of her clothes, her knuckles turning white. She clenched her fist with all her might, as if trying to suppress the emotions within her.
Ming Yu didn’t notice Song Qingpei’s strange behavior.
She sneered, enunciating each word as if forcing the characters from between her teeth. “Song Qingpei, I’m warning you one last time. Do not provoke me.”
As the two faced off, Song Song, who had recovered from her shock, cautiously glanced between them, tears welling up in her big eyes.
She looked up timidly and said in a tearful voice, “Can you please not fight?”
Ming Yu’s anger hadn’t subsided, but considering her daughter was just a small child, she suppressed her displeasure and shot a warning look at Song Qingpei.
In that instant, Song Qingpei suddenly regretted her words. She shouldn’t have provoked Ming Yu.
After all, the moment Ming Yu regained her memories, the wife she lovedβand who loved her backβhad died. Now, she was the high and mighty Admiral of the Empire. Being marked by a low-grade Alpha was her shame. If not for the bond of their daughter, Ming Yu might have killed her back then.
Seeing Song Song’s small, aggrieved expression, Song Qingpei’s heart ached. She quickly bent down and picked her up, coaxing her in a gentle voice, “Okay, we won’t fight anymore. Baby, don’t cry, okay?”
Song Song sniffled and nodded obediently. “Mm! Song Song will be good. No more fighting.”
Seeing her stop crying, Song Qingpei let out a long sigh of relief. The intense emotions in her eyes had long since returned to stillness. She looked at Ming Yu calmly. “I won’t mention anything from the past again. But regarding Song Song’s education, I hope you won’t be too drastic. Song Song is only three. She needs a period of adjustment; you can’t achieve it all at once.”
Ming Yu said indifferently, “You are not yet qualified to teach me what to do.”
She paid Song Qingpei no more mind, bending down to extend a hand to Song Song, her voice softening. “Song Song, how about Mommy takes you to pilot a mech?”
Song Song, who had been shrinking like a little mushroom, immediately perked up at the word ‘mech.’ Her little head bobbed vigorously. “Okay, okay⦔ Halfway through, she remembered to ask Song Qingpei, “Mama, can Song Song go with Mommy to pilot a mech?”
Could she say no? Song Qingpei nodded helplessly.
“Then let’s go.” Ming Yu picked up Song Song and walked toward the door.
Outside, seven or eight fully armed soldiers stood at attention.
“Admiral.” The soldiers saluted respectfully.
Seeing the child in Ming Yu’s arms, they exchanged strange glances but tacitly dared not ask any questions.
Ming Yu was expressionless. “Back to the starship.”
“Yes, sir.”
The group replied, following by her side.
Ming Yu held Song Song and walked with a steady but brisk pace, as if she couldn’t wait to leave this place that disgusted her.
Completely ignored, Song Qingpei didn’t even have time to pack a bag. She could only hurry to catch up at the elevator. A moment later, and she suspected Ming Yu would have been more than happy to leave her behind.
The group first took a military vehicle to the military base on Planet N69, then boarded the ‘Feiyun’ Starship, which belonged to the Seventh Fleet, and set off into the stars.
It was a state-of-the-art A-class combat mothership with a powerful defense system and high-tech weaponry. It could accommodate five hundred mechs and was fully equipped, a top-tier interstellar warship built by Ming Yu herself.
When Song Qingpei saw the behemoth, she was utterly stunned.
Ming Yu was very busy. After boarding the starship, she arranged for her aide, Lieutenant Lin, to take Song Qingpei and her daughter to rest. She changed into her military uniform and went to meet with the starship’s senior officers.
The military conference lasted until two in the morning. After everyone dispersed, Ming Yu wearily rubbed her throbbing temples and stood up to leave.
Just as she stepped out of the conference room, Lieutenant Lin, who had been waiting outside, came forward to report, “Admiral, I have arranged for Miss Song and her daughter to stay in your private quarters⦔
Ming Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly. “What?”
Song Song would naturally stay in her quarters. As for that womanβ¦
She wasn’t worthy.
Sensing Ming Yu’s intense displeasure, Lieutenant Lin broke out in a cold sweat and quickly corrected himself. “I shouldn’t have acted on my own. I’ll have someone move them to a different⦔
Ming Yu’s lips pressed into a thin line. Thinking of her daughter’s dependence on Song Qingpei, she fell silent for a moment before saying coldly, “Forget it. Let her stay there for now.”
Lieutenant Lin breathed a sigh of relief and nodded hastily. “Yes, sir!”
“You’re dismissed, Lieutenant Lin.” Ming Yu waved her hand.
“Yes, Admiral.”
Lieutenant Lin saluted and quickly departed.
Ming Yu walked through the corridor and went straight back to her private quarters. The cabin was very spacious, consisting of two bedrooms, a study, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room, with a style that was simple yet grand.
She took off her jacket, setting it aside, and surveyed her surroundings with a wary expression. She did not like her private territory being invaded.
That woman had some self-awareness, at least, and had taken the side bedroom. Ming Yu frowned and entered her own bedroom, standing by the window to gaze at the star-studded night sky.
A star twinkled, as if trying to curry favor with her, but a faint sense of unease slowly rose in her heart.
Her heat was still three days away, but her fully marked body had long since been corrupted. As they say, ‘once you taste the marrow, you know its flavor.’4 She could no longer do without that tasteβ¦
For the past two years, she had relied on inhibitors to suppress her body’s cravings. But as the dosage of inhibitors increased, their effectiveness worsened. Even her doctor had warned her more than once that when things reach an extreme, they reverse. If she continued to suppress it like this, it would eventually erupt, and things would only become worse.
Her heat was coming earlier and earlier. She didn’t know how much longer she could hold on, but she would absolutely not accept begging that low-grade Alpha for pleasure, being pressed down and consumed by her.
Perhaps thinking of these things had stimulated her pheromones. A strange heat suddenly surged through her body, making her gasp. Ming Yu instinctively unbuttoned the front of her uniform, trying to lower her body temperature.
But it was useless. The aroused pheromones slowly spread, quickly causing her temperature to spike. A feeling like ants crawling over her skin made it almost impossible to control herself, and she couldn’t help but let out a stifled groan.
She cursed under her breath. Her fingertips dug into the skin of her palm, the sharp pain bringing a sliver of clarity. Ming Yu took a deep breath, adjusted her mindset, and then got up to get an inhibitor.
This time, the heat seemed to be coming on more fiercely than usual. Ming Yu’s hand was trembling as she reached for the inhibitor.
She tore open her shirt with self-destructive force. The strain was so great that two buttons popped off. Without hesitation, she injected the inhibitor, waiting for the heat inside her to slowly recede.
But unlike before, the heat that should have quickly faded did not disappear. In fact, it showed signs of intensifying.
The potent pheromones rapidly filled the air, as if testing for something. Soon, wisps of an Alpha’s pheromones drifted over, as if in response to her own.
Ming Yu couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.
This scentβ¦ it was so familiarβ¦
Song Qingpei!
Grinding the name between her teeth, Ming Yu got up with a wooden expression and grabbed another inhibitor.
She sat on the sofa, expressionless, and fiercely injected the second dose, forcibly suppressing her body’s reaction, trying to make this humiliating heat pass quickly.
But it didn’t work. Even the second inhibitor only managed to slightly dampen the internal fire.
That faint, tingling numbness still burned at her sensitive nerves, little by little, causing her cold eyes to gradually flush with the color of spring. Ming Yu shut her eyes in humiliation, her long lashes trembling slightly.
Knock, knock, knock.
Just as Ming Yu was resting with her eyes closed, someone knocked on the door.
Her eyes flew open, and she barked, “Song Qingpei!”
The person outside paused. “It’s me.”
Hearing this, Ming Yu’s pupils constricted. She said in a hoarse voice, “Get in here!”
A moment later, the smart door didn’t react.
Annoyed at her own lapse in judgment, Ming Yu suppressed her anger and said, “Please enter!”
“Command correct.”
The smart door chimed and opened.
Song Qingpei, standing outside, was still wearing the same clothes she’d arrived in. Her face was slightly flushed, and her brows were furrowed with an undisguisable anger.
This was ridiculous. Who the hell releases their pheromones in the middle of the night? If she didn’t know how much Ming Yu despised and detested her to the bone, she would have suspected the other woman was trying to seduce her.
What the hell was Ming Yu freaking out about in the middle of the night?!
Song Qingpei glanced inside with a strange expression. Just as she was about to ask, she was stunned by the sensual scene before her, instantly forgetting what she was going to say.
Ming Yu, dressed in a black military uniform with gold trim, sat ramrod straight on the sofa, her military boots still on. The neatness of her lower body was a stark contrast to the disarray of her upper half. Her white shirt was wide open, revealing the full curve of her cleavage under the light, an alluring sight.
Her head was tilted back slightly, her fair, slender neck like carved jade. Her eyes, which usually held a cold light, were now red at the corners, a hint of spring’s flush floating within them. She was clearly in the throes of a pheromone-induced arousal.
“Ahem, ahem⦔ Song Qingpei coughed dryly and quickly turned her back.
Ming Yu glanced down at her shirt, where the buttons had long since fallen off, and didn’t even bother to pull it closed. Heh. We’ve already done everything there is to do. What’s the point of being coy now?
Her gaze swept over to Song Qingpei, who was standing by the door. Her voice was as cold as if it had crawled out of an ice cave. “Song Qingpei, retract your pheromones. Immediately.”
This was a classic case of making a false counter-accusation!5
Song Qingpei almost laughed out of anger. “It was your pheromones that woke me up in the middle of the night! That’s the only reason my pheromones couldn’t help butβ¦ become like this!”
She phrased it delicately, not wanting to start a direct conflict with Ming Yu over something so embarrassing.
But Ming Yu, sitting on the sofa, looked at Song Qingpei expressionlessly. “My heat is coming soon. It’s my sensitive period, and I can’t be stimulated by Alpha pheromones. So retract yours immediately, or go inject an Alpha inhibitor. Otherwise, I don’t mind having you completely neutered.”
Song Qingpei stared at her in disbelief. After a long moment, she managed to choke out, “It was clearly your pheromones that caused thisβ¦ Do you have any sense of reason?”
“My orders are reason.”
Ming Yu’s words were like frost. “I’ll give you ten minutes to handle it. Otherwise, I’ll personally call the military doctor over to have your gland removed.”
Song Qingpei nearly coughed up blood from anger, but she knew this cold-blooded person would actually do it. Helpless, she said, “Give me an inhibitor.”
“Go find Lieutenant Lin. I don’t have any Alpha inhibitors here.”
Ming Yu remained sitting perfectly straight, but the slight tremble in her voice betrayed her. “You have nine minutes left.”
“I⦔ Fuck!
Song Qingpei cursed internally, unable to bear it any longer. She turned and left to find Lieutenant Lin for an inhibitor.
As her hurried footsteps faded away, the smart cabin door slowly closed, sealing the Alpha’s pheromones outside. Ming Yu, whose body had been tense the entire time, suddenly relaxed. Her entire body curled up on the sofa, her hands instinctively moving to the gland on the back of her neck, trying to soothe the frenzy of desire within her.
At the touch of her fingertips, she couldn’t help but let out a groan of unbearable pleasure. “Ngh⦔
Ming Yu took a moment to catch her breath, then shakily got up, her fingers fumbling for the inhibitors.
Only after injecting three more in a row did the heat in her body slowly subside. But due to the overdose, she couldn’t help but shiver, as if suffering the torment of both ice and fire, not knowing when she might completely break down.
She was so close, just a little bit more, and she would have pounced on that low-grade Alpha, humbly begging for her comfort. The thought of her own pathetic state because of this person made the killing intent in her eyes grow even stronger.
She hated the feeling of things being out of her control. If she truly couldn’t control herself, then she could onlyβ¦
Neuter Song Qingpei.
