    【????】

The comments were shocked by Pei Xuezhi’s behavior.

    【What is this?】

【Doesn’t Pei Xuezhi already know Fu Chaoyun is a scumbag…】

【I feel like she was quite indecisive a few days ago. Even though Fu Chaoyun was always taking initiative, she kept maintaining distance. Now it’s different – when Fu Chaoyun tries to avoid suspicion by having Jian Yi take her, she claims it’s not convenient and actively pursues Fu Chaoyun… Really can’t understand.】

【No, you need to understand, Pei Xuezhi is different from you all – she has a god’s perspective and knew from the start that Fu Chaoyun was a scumbag!】

    【Ah, this…】

【Has she received favors from Fu Chaoyun and is trying to help clear their name? Or has she been influenced by PR? Been bought off? Bowing to capitalism?】

【Originally a victim, now we can only say she deserves it.】

【More than that – she’s aiding evil! Pei Xuezhi is disgusting! Disgusting~!】

In an instant, all the previous sympathy for Pei Xuezhi turned into abuse.

This is how netizens are – they can like you, sympathize with you, pity you, but once your behavior deviates slightly from their expectations, all their previous positive feedback can be instantly withdrawn and doubled into endless abuse.

After all, there’s no accountability for what you say online – anyone can be a keyboard warrior [someone who is aggressive online but cowardly in real life].

Pei Xuezhi was looking at Fu Chaoyun.

Having returned from rebirth, she knew better than anyone just how much of a scumbag “Fu Chaoyun” could be – she had personally experienced things beyond others’ imagination.

These days, while Fu Chaoyun appeared relaxed and composed, to her it felt like being cornered step by step, creating significant pressure.

She should go with the flow, get on this boat, and completely break free from that person – one effort for eternal freedom.

    Wouldn’t that be good?

When first seeing these online reactions, Pei Xuezhi had wavered, even thinking maybe she should just go along with it.

But after hearing Fu Chaoyun’s words just now, she once again clearly realized—

The Fu Chaoyun before her was different, not a disguise, not fake… even small details reminded her that this person was completely different from the “Fu Chaoyun” who had tormented her in her memories.

Just where had things gone wrong? What made everything so different… Pei Xuezhi hadn’t figured it out yet.

    But at least.

She didn’t want to see this not-so-hateful Fu Chaoyun destroyed.

    Before she could understand everything.

So, Pei Xuezhi reached out her hand to the person in the abyss, not caring if people said she was bought off or aiding evil – she had never cared about others’ opinions anyway.

At this moment, everyone’s gaze fell on Pei Xuezhi, including Fu Chaoyun.

Her beautiful eyes fell to the ground for a few seconds, though it felt as long as a century.

    “That won’t do.”

The person who should have been waiting to be saved instead avoided Pei Xuezhi’s outstretched hand. Fu Chaoyun’s lips curved up, her smile remaining playful and casual.

Yet deep in her eyes, there was a glimmer of light.

“Although I’d love to give little sister Xuezhi a ride, I can’t. Big sister has more important things to do today, so you’ll have to bear with it, Zhizhi~”

Pei Xuezhi pressed her lips together, her gaze determined, but before she could say anything, Fu Chaoyun’s soft laugh interrupted her.

“Be good~” Fu Chaoyun looked at her, striking features at their most radiant, yet her gaze was gentle.

“Go find Jian Yi. Zhizhi just wait quietly for me to return. If you really miss me, I’ll come pick you up in the afternoon… hmm?”

Her voice lifted slightly at the end, her gentle gaze seemingly filled with infinite tenderness. The alpha’s eyes crinkled with easy laughter, showing no anxiety, making it easy for others to relax along with her.

    Fu Chaoyun asked, “Okay~?”

    “Okay.”

Pei Xuezhi heard her own voice.

【Help… although we know Fu Chaoyun is trash, this scene is really shipping material, makes me want to switch sides… I know my values are wrong, just saying!】

【It’s moving – that old joke came true, but with reversed roles. Today it’s: Pei “I’ll fight the whole world for you” Xuezhi】

【Finally waited for the other party to take initiative, but Fu Chaoyun stepped back – she’s protecting Pei Xuezhi…】

【Is it possible those exposés were fake? As the person involved, wouldn’t Pei Xuezhi know if Fu Chaoyun is good or bad?】

【How could it be fake? Pei Xuezhi is just love-struck, embarrassing her status as a top student, and you people are crazy from shipping!】

【Don’t try to whitewash a scumbag alpha! Fu Chaoyun get out of 《Love at First Sight》!】

Fu Chaoyun sat in the car, her fair fingertips tapping lightly on the steering wheel.

From the moment Pei Xuezhi stood up, the System had been clamoring in Fu Chaoyun’s head, even saying things like 【yours, why】 until Fu Chaoyun’s refusal finally made it relax a bit.

Fu Chaoyun believed the System was Pei Xuezhi’s toxic fan, the type that forbids their idol from dating.

With the filming camera still present, Fu Chaoyun didn’t check her phone but asked the System directly in her mind, “How’s the online situation now?”

【What else could it be – everyone’s cursing you.】 The System’s tone was gloomy. 【Just now when Pei Xuezhi stood up for you, it helped your reputation a bit, but the effect was minimal.】

    【Now they’re mostly saying she’s gone crazy, and they’re cursing her too.】

“Mm.” Fu Chaoyun wasn’t surprised by this result.

【You did well just now, keeping Pei Xuezhi out of this mess instead of letting her wade in with you.】 The System rarely gave praise.

Fu Chaoyun smiled, “After all, I’m really not a scumbag alpha.”

Of course she knew Pei Xuezhi was trying to help her just now. Taking that hand might have greatly advanced their relationship, but right now, she hadn’t even solved her own problems – how could she drag Pei Xuezhi into the mud and put her in such a dangerous situation?

The System had barely felt relieved when it heard Fu Chaoyun say, “Don’t you think my refusal showed great responsibility? Perhaps I’m paving the way for what’s ahead…”

    System: 【…】

It really couldn’t take this anymore!

Unable to handle this scheming alpha, the System decided to skip this frustrating part and jump straight to the next step.

【How do you plan to resolve this?】

    “Very simple.”

Seeing no trace of panic on Fu Chaoyun’s face, the System gradually relaxed. After all, if this account was ruined, it would be troublesome to issue new tasks in the future.

    “Of course I’ll—”

    The next second.

Fu Chaoyun picked up her phone and dialed a number. “Dad!”

    【………】

Even after Fu Chaoyun’s car had driven some distance, the System hadn’t recovered from its earlier “shock.”

Fu Chaoyun explained righteously, “I’m just a spoiled second-generation rich kid right now, I have nothing. How could I possibly solve problems by myself? Obviously, I need to use my family’s power.”

The System choked: 【I understand the logic, this is indeed the fastest solution, but why does it sound so… lame? Not at all like an alpha’s mighty dominance…】

“Well, who told me to have such a useless System?”

    【…】

After easily shifting the blame, Fu Chaoyun continued, “Anyway, I’ve never cared about face, and now everyone knows about the scumbag alpha thing. It can’t get more embarrassing than this, and besides—”

She paused, driving at high speed, her eyes reflected in the rearview mirror showing a deep gleam.

Fu Chaoyun smiled lightly, “We can’t let Zhizhi be affected.”

When Fu Chaoyun spoke with her father Gu Huaiyi, she said she needed the family’s help. Gu Huaiyi told her to come back and discuss it.

But when she got home and formally met Mr. Gu, his first words were, “It’s already being handled.”

    Fu Chaoyun was stunned.

    That fast?

“Thank you, Dad.” She still responded obediently, “But I have some things on my end…”

Gu Huaiyi waved his hand, “Go talk to your sister about all that.” As Fu Chaoyun’s eyebrows rose in surprise, Gu Huaiyi added, “Your sister is helping handle this matter.”

Fu Chaoyun went to find her sister.

In her received memories, the original scumbag alpha didn’t have a particularly good relationship with her sister Fu Lingfeng, but there didn’t seem to be any real conflict. Though their growth paths were completely different, when she was young and this body was bullied, her sister had fought for her.

It was the weekend, and Fu Lingfeng was at home, not at the company.

When Fu Chaoyun reached the study, she couldn’t connect this dignified and ascetic alpha before her with the memory of that little carrot-top who had fought fiercely with elementary school students.

Fu Lingfeng was on the phone and made a downward palm gesture to Fu Chaoyun, telling her to wait a moment.

    Fu Chaoyun complied obediently.

After a while, Fu Lingfeng hung up. “Everything’s done. Your public opinion should turn around quickly by tonight.”

“Got it,” Fu Chaoyun said sweetly. “Thanks sis, you worked hard.”

Fu Lingfeng raised an eyebrow. She was naturally dignified, and though her face was somewhat similar to Fu Chaoyun’s, they were usually unmistakably different.

But at this moment, the images of the two sisters suddenly overlapped.

“If you know I worked hard, then cause fewer incidents like this.” Fu Lingfeng’s voice was cold as she glanced at Fu Chaoyun. “You’ve been acting like a proper person lately, keep it up.”

Fu Lingfeng was only slightly older than her, and Fu Chaoyun couldn’t stand being lectured in this tone.

“What if I don’t keep it up?”

Fu Lingfeng continued eyeing her, “I’ll expose all your childhood embarrassing stories.”

    Fu Chaoyun: “……Don’t.”

She only occasionally didn’t care about face, but certain socially mortifying things should be avoided.

Just then, Wen Wan came to deliver food and saw the sisters bickering, with Fu Chaoyun clearly at a disadvantage.

Wen Wan smiled and walked over to pat Fu Lingfeng’s shoulder. “Don’t bully Ah Yun.”

Fu Lingfeng nodded to her and accepted the water Wen Wan handed over, politely saying, “Thank you.”

Wen Wan paused. Fu Lingfeng had already turned away and asked Fu Chaoyun, “Anything else?”

Fu Chaoyun had observed this interaction, frowning slightly. Wen Wan handed her a glass of water too, and Fu Chaoyun quickly said sweetly, “Thank you, sister-in-law.”

Wen Wan smiled at her and left the study, no longer disturbing them.

After the door closed completely, Fu Chaoyun said, “Sis, sister-in-law is so good to you, you should show more care for her too.”

“I’ll naturally take care of my wife.” Fu Lingfeng’s expression remained seemingly indifferent. After saying this, she turned the topic back to Fu Chaoyun, “As for you, did you stay just to tell me this?”

As they say, even a wise judge finds it hard to settle family disputes [meaning: domestic disputes are hard to mediate], especially between spouses. At this point, Fu Chaoyun had said all she could.

She shook her head and returned to the main topic, “What exactly did sister help do?”

Fu Chaoyun trusted the young CFO’s work ability, but since it concerned herself, she had to be careful. Fortunately, Fu Lingfeng didn’t take offense and explained everything item by item.

Fu Chaoyun nodded as she listened, then said, “I have here a record of my overnight stays outside for the past few years, and a historical list of alpha-omega specialized medicine purchases, all starting from when I presented [alpha/omega biological maturation].”

Fu Lingfeng finally gave her a longer look. “Fine, I’ll have our people release it.”

    “Thanks, sis.”

    Fu Chaoyun left the study.

Since entering the Fu residence, she hadn’t let the cameraman follow her – after all, the trouble caused by a scumbag alpha shouldn’t affect family members, there was no reason to drag the whole family into being criticized.

Now she could finally check the online reactions.

Fu Lingfeng moved quickly and efficiently. Shortly after launching their PR counterattack, the online situation began to change.

【Heh, Fu Chaoyun just said she was going home, and now the Fu family’s PR is here? That was fast.】

【Won’t accept any whitewashing of a scumbag alpha.】

【Don’t get brainwashed… every person who believes this means countless more omegas will be deceived!】

【Speaking of which, Fu Chaoyun should just stick with Pei Xuezhi, since she loves defending her so much? Haha, wonder how long before she gets dumped this time…】

At first, it was all criticism, but gradually different voices began to emerge.

【Look at these two new images from the Fu family… since presenting, Fu Chaoyun has no record of staying overnight at hotels with omegas, and she’s bought alpha-specific suppressants, with no contraceptives in her purchase history…】

【For temporary marking, you don’t need contraceptives, right?】

【Alphas don’t have heat periods unless affected by an omega in heat nearby, but if that’s the case and it’s your girlfriend, why buy suppressants? As a fellow alpha, I really don’t understand.】

【Wait! Could it be she dated so many but never touched any of them? What was the point then? I saw in the earlier exposé that Fu Chaoyun was super generous when pursuing someone, throwing real money around! Not even taking a bite? What kind of saint???】

【Maybe just enjoying their beauty? Feast for the eyes?】

    【…I really can’t understand it.】

As evidence was released piece by piece, the melon-eating masses were stunned – this plot development… completely contradicted their usual understanding of a playboy scumbag alpha!

Soon, another voice emerged – a social media influencer called Feifei who claimed to be one of Fu Chaoyun’s ex-girlfriends. She posted a personal essay.

【I should count as one of the omegas “deceived by the scumbag alpha.”

Back then, Miss Fu’s pursuit of me was quite spectacular. I saw her “sincerity,” she was good-looking, and it was face-giving to be seen with her. Partly driven by attraction to her beauty and some vanity, I agreed to be one of Miss Fu’s girlfriends.

Although I’d heard about how quickly Miss Fu changed girlfriends before, I didn’t mind.

After getting together, Miss Fu continued showing her “sincerity.” While being treated so well, there was no further development, and I felt a bit embarrassed, especially since I was attracted to her face.

Once during my heat period, I deliberately didn’t use suppressants before appearing near Miss Fu. I could feel her pheromones being drawn out by mine, and as I watched expectantly as she stood up…

Then she came back with a bottle of suppressant and sprayed it all! Over! Me!

I was completely stunned at the time, thinking what’s wrong with this alpha, not taking an omega who’s offering herself? I wanted to quit right then! But the next day Miss Fu came to apologize with her “sincerity,” and looking at that face prettier than an omega’s, what could I do?

    Of course I forgave her~

My relationship with Miss Fu lasted about two months, and then as everyone knows, Miss Fu found someone new, we broke up – peacefully, without drama.

After breaking up, I felt a bit regretful, since I figured I’d never find someone as “sincere” as Miss Fu again, and more importantly, for those two months with this beautiful alpha, I could only look but not touch!

My romance with her was more pure than **** [reference to a website known for clean romance novels], damn it!!!

PS: Below are some examples of Miss Fu’s past “sincerity”.】

Below the text was a nine-photo grid where the influencer Feifei displayed various luxury bags, clothes, and jewelry, all styles from over two years ago.

Then more of Fu Chaoyun’s omega ex-girlfriends emerged online, showing off their now-outdated luxury items, telling similar stories to Feifei’s – Fu Chaoyun had never marked any of them.

The spectators were stunned by this sudden turn of events – what was this?

    Although countless self-proclaimed clear-headed people kept posting 【Don’t believe it!】 and 【This is all Fu Chaoyun’s whitewashing】…

But with such abundant evidence staring them in the face, netizens couldn’t help but discuss.

【I’m confused, what was Fu Chaoyun after?】

【Spending big money on luxury goods to chase someone, then after getting them… hehe, just looking but not touching? Normal people would at least kiss and hug, at least do a temporary alpha-omega mark for fun?】

【If these ex-girlfriends are telling the truth, Fu Chaoyun isn’t a scumbag alpha, she’s a money-throwing child! She just changed girlfriends to find new people to spend money on!】

    【Be bolder – call her a sucker!】

【No wonder Fu Chaoyun’s omega changes all ended peacefully. If not for this exposé, nothing would have come out. They all felt they got benefits without giving anything in return, too embarrassed to make trouble, right?】

【Calculating roughly, Revenge Ah Yun spent at least hundreds of thousands on each, mostly two to three hundred thousand, with some reaching millions.】

【I checked, these omega influencers are all beautiful, especially that million-yuan Feifei, she’s the prettiest of the bunch!】

【I spend money, I throw cash around, I just look but don’t touch?】

    【Summary: Fu Chaoyun is a sucker!】

    【I’m dying of laughter!】

With evidence laid out so conclusively, gradually some people’s focus began to shift.

【Such a good deal exists? Let me try!】

【What kind of quirky hobby is this, Fu Chaoyun? Beautiful omega collecting addiction?】

    【Let’s be bold, I bet Fu Chaoyun can’t perform!】

【Anyway, Fu Chaoyun still has enough ex-girlfriends to form a soccer team, and they’re all so pretty… Suddenly feeling Fu Chaoyun’s feelings for Pei Xuezhi might not be so genuine.】

【NSDD (I strongly agree), someone just likes pretty faces.】

    【Suddenly turning tragic.jpg】

【In comparison, Fu Chaoyun is really stingy with Pei Xuezhi – egg tarts, daily rides, and even having Fu Chaoyun buy her breakfast… She’s eating soft rice.】

    【*pointing and judging*】

【What about that branded sun protection clothing Fu Chaoyun gave to Pei Xuezhi?】

【Reminder: that was borrowed, needs to be returned (dog head emoji)】

In just two hours, not even a full morning, faced with absolute truth, Fu Chaoyun’s public image reversed again.

This crisis-turned-opportunity made 《Love at First Sight》 explode in popularity again, attracting many new viewers. Now every livestream chat was overflowing with comments.

Some conspiracy theories even emerged, suggesting this whole process from exposé to redemption might be the show’s publicity stunt.

However, these voices quickly died down.

Because Fu Corporation started sending out cease and desist letters to sue the original poster and countless others who had insulted Fu Chaoyun.

These people who had wrongly cursed her just wanted to walk away as if nothing happened, even victim-blaming – if you hadn’t acted so misleadingly, they wouldn’t have cursed wrongly, right?

Now with legal letters arriving, they’re all on their knees.

All sorts of tearful excuses – being young students, having iron rice bowls [secure government job] they couldn’t lose…

Fortunately, understanding the complexity of the internet, they didn’t sue everyone, just picking some of the worst offenders as examples.

From now on, anyone thinking of defaming the Fu family would have to carefully consider if they could bear the consequences.

As for the original exposé poster, seeing things going wrong, they quickly deleted their post. But no matter – even if they had to chase to the ends of the earth, Fu Corporation’s legal elite would bring them back and handle them according to law.

However, Fu Chaoyun later added several people who had cursed Pei Xuezhi to the list :)

    At Rong University.

In class, good student Pei Xuezhi was checking her phone secretly for who knows how many times today.

After all the cursing and kneeling, attention returned to the show itself.

    【Something’s not right—】

【Looking back now, the timing of this incident is too convenient – posted late at night, fermented overnight, and just as things were about to escalate in the morning, the Fu family brought out their thunder hammer to stop it… Don’t you think each step was too perfectly timed?】

【Not to mention all the ex-girlfriends coming out to testify, but hotel records and medicine purchase records must have been prepared in advance, right?】

【Terrifying when you think about it.】

【Another point – before this incident, Fu Chaoyun was chasing Pei Xuezhi, who kept a distance. Once Fu Chaoyun got in trouble, these roles reversed.】

【You mean Pei Xuezhi was set up?】

【Damn, is pursuing a wife such a big sacrifice now?】

【No, you need to understand – Fu Chaoyun’s “previous record” shows she probably just likes Pei Xuezhi’s face, just for looking.】

【Notice, Pei Xuezhi has checked her phone several times today.】

【…Poor Pei Xuezhi! Being manipulated by the calculating Fu Chaoyun, and this time Fu Chaoyun isn’t even giving gifts, hope she doesn’t end up with nothing! That would choke me to death!!!】

【But Pei Xuezhi doesn’t seem like someone who cares about money.】

Pei Xuezhi happened to see that comment, her lips pressing into a straight line before relaxing again.

    It’s good that it’s resolved.

    Meanwhile.

After using family connections to resolve the crisis, Fu Chaoyun didn’t even stay for lunch to spend time with relatives, just grabbed her car keys to leave.

“Teacher Fu, going to hang out with friends again?” the cameraman asked.

The outdoor single-camera segments could be boring to livestream, so to make the show less dull, cameramen occasionally chatted with the guests.

When Fu Chaoyun’s incident first broke, her friends had defended her, especially Zhao Yujun.

【Zhao Yujun: She just likes pretty girls, what’s wrong with that?】

This scumbag-like statement got her fiercely attacked by netizens, almost as badly as Fu Chaoyun at the storm’s center.

That truly showed who your real friends are. Now that everything was perfectly resolved, it would be fine for Fu Chaoyun to meet up with them.

    Unexpectedly, Fu Chaoyun said: “No.”

    “Huh?”

    “Going to work.”

“Oh, you’re heading back to the company.”

With yesterday’s exposé, much of Fu Chaoyun’s information was dug up, including that she worked at Xingdong and was actually from the variety show department – the whole 《Love at First Sight》 was originally planned by Fu Chaoyun!

However, few believed that last bit. The prejudice from thinking she was illiterate ran too deep, plus all those ex-girlfriends – everyone’s impression of Fu Chaoyun was stuck on “spoiled rich kid.”

“Not that either,” Fu Chaoyun said.

    “…Huh?”

“Going to Rong University.” Fu Chaoyun started the car. This time she wasn’t driving Wen Wan’s car, but switched to a red Porsche, being completely flashy.

Since everyone online knew her now, especially Rong University students, there was no need to stay low-key anymore.

    So why make herself uncomfortable?

“Didn’t you say you’d pick up Teacher Pei in the afternoon?”

    It’s not even noon yet!

“That’s right.” After answering, Fu Chaoyun paused, then suddenly smiled at the camera, “No more pretending, I’m actually part of the production team!”

With the convertible top down, as she hit the gas, her hair danced in the wind, brilliant and unrestrained. The car wrapped in rushing wind made Fu Chaoyun raise her voice several notches, expressing the joy in her heart.

Yet her alluring fox-like eyes narrowed slightly, captivating in their movement.

Fu Chaoyun’s snow-white fingers rested on the steering wheel, tapping lightly, “During location shooting, it’s quite reasonable for production team members to check on the guests’ filming, right?”

“Consider it… a little reward and surprise for being good.”

The livestream chat exploded with screams.

    【Fu Chaoyun, brilliant!】

【Grandma, your ship has been revived!】

【Who could resist such a beautiful, wealthy, and generous scumbag alpha?】

【Ahhh sister, don’t play with Pei Xuezhi, come play with me! I’m willing!】

【Someone give her a Western mirror! [reference to being dramatic/showy]】

The System was also seeing all the online speculation and reported it to Fu Chaoyun like it was a joke.

【Some people say you planned this whole incident, hahaha what nonsense, how could you possibly let your reputation suffer like that, too funny, obviously fake~】

Fu Chaoyun, driving, responded lazily, “Is my reputation damaged now?”

    【No…】

The System’s voice suddenly stuttered, stiffly turning to look at Fu Chaoyun’s completely unaffected beautiful face, then screamed!

    【Holy, it was really you?!!!】

Seemingly dumb on the surface but actually very cunning. I was deceived by this alpha! Anyways, I am glad Fu Chaoyun still stood up for herself. However, I am curious of the purpose of instigating trouble. I am speculating it is to remind the system of how unfair it is but somehow to test the waters. They’re just guesses but big brain, girl!

Wow I didn’t expect the mastermind behind the original post to be our girl herself! She’s ten steps ahead of everyone lol

    Note
