    Flower Sea Blooming

Bai Xin’s dining table was a four-seater, covered with a light yellow tablecloth. Cheng Jiqing divided the two portions of congee that had just been delivered and sat at the table, waiting.

The place wasn’t large to begin with, so the sound of water from the bathroom was even clearer.

The sound of water splashing down wasn’t regular, like music, it had a rhythm.

For a moment or two, Cheng Jiqing’s mind wandered, then that bit of moral sense suppressed her ‘lustful thoughts.’

She forced herself to think about other things, and her thoughts drifted to the kiss with Bai Xin just now.

Cheng Jiqing pursed her lips; they still felt a bit numb. She remembered how Bai Xin had pulled back after kissing, her cheeks and eyes flushed red, and then, due to exhaustion, she had knelt down, collapsing into her embrace.

Her slightly rushed breath sprayed onto her collarbone through the fabric…

“Is it time yet?” Bai Xin asked hoarsely.

Cheng Jiqing, acting all serious, took the phone from Bai Xin’s back, didn’t even look at it, and said, “It is.”

It wasn’t time; it was long overdue.

Later, when Cheng Jiqing recalled this day, she felt it was simply like an omen. From the very first time, they had not abided by it.

The rules between her and Bai Xin were always meant to be broken.

When Bai Xin came out of the bathroom, she wasn’t wearing her usual nightgown, but a long white T-shirt. Beneath the T-shirt was a pair of well-proportioned legs, as fair and smooth as pearls.

The scent of roses filled the air.

Cheng Jiqing: “Did you change your shower gel?”

Bai Xin stood at the door, drying her hair: “Does it smell good?”

Her eyes were flirting with her eyes1; Cheng Jiqing wasn’t sure if Bai Xin was looking at her like that intentionally.

The steam had reddened her face and lips. Cheng Jiqing’s lips felt a bit hot. She nodded: “En… it smells pretty good. Go blow-dry your hair, then come eat after you’re done.”

    “Not blow-drying it.”

Bai Xin sat down on the chair next to her. As soon as she sat, the warm, moist fragrance from the woman’s body became even stronger: “Let’s eat first.”

“The air conditioner is on, don’t catch a fever again if you don’t blow-dry it.” Cheng Jiqing turned her head and said: “Go blow-dry your hair first.”

    Bai Xin: “No strength.”

Those eyes looked at her, blinking slowly: “I even showered sitting down.”

    Cheng Jiqing: “…”

Cheng Jiqing chuckled: “You could have just said you wanted me to help you blow-dry it.”

Bai Xin propped her elbow on the table, that section of her arm dazzlingly white: “Then I’ll have to trouble Little CEO Cheng.”

Hearing this, Cheng Jiqing smiled helplessly, the corners of her eyes crinkling gently. She stood up.

Soon, Bai Xin heard the sound of Cheng Jiqing opening a cabinet in the bathroom, and the sound of a chair being moved. Her heart felt an unprecedented sense of peace.

A few seconds later, Cheng Jiqing stood at the door: “Come sit here.”

The whirring sound of the hairdryer, wengweng, was above her head.

Bai Xin sat facing the mirror, with Cheng Jiqing behind her, looking down and seriously helping Bai Xin dry her hair.

The Alpha in the mirror had refined and uncommon features. Because she was focused, her face appeared slightly stern. Bai Xin watched for a while, feeling her hands itch, not quite satisfied with this action.

She turned around, pressed her face against Cheng Jiqing’s flat stomach, and then had her continue blow-drying.

A thin T-shirt, a silk skirt, Bai Xin’s soft body leaned against Cheng Jiqing through the fabric, heat transferring between them… Cheng Jiqing’s legs felt as if they were being rubbed by cotton candy, and she shifted.

Bai Xin let out a soft ‘en,’ and she didn’t dare to move anymore.

On the very first day, she was already facing challenges.

Cheng Jiqing turned the hairdryer’s power down, swallowed, and said hoarsely: “You’re quite hard to please.”

Bai Xin didn’t respond. Because it was too comfortable to hold, the scent of peach wine from Cheng Jiqing’s body made her unconsciously take a deep breath, her two glands throbbed slightly.

Bai Xin’s fingernails scratched Cheng Jiqing’s lower back, circling around the dimples there, but were soon caught by Cheng Jiqing.

The hairdryer was turned off. Cheng Jiqing feigned seriousness and said: “Tsk, I told you not to provoke me.”

Bai Xin tilted her head up slightly, her expression lingering: “Really three months?”

Cheng Jiqing: “…Miss Bai, it hasn’t even been an hour since we made our agreement, and you already want to break it? Let’s go eat.”

As she spoke, something about it tickled her fancy, and she couldn’t help but gently pinch Bai Xin’s flushed cheek.

    Bai Xin was slightly stunned.

After pinching, Cheng Jiqing’s heart also stirred. A frank and open2 conversation was not without effect, nor was it meaningless. The two looked at each other for two seconds, with only each other in their field of vision.

That moment was like the arrival of spring, a sea of flowers slowly blooming.

Cheng Jiqing had ordered seafood congee for Bai Xin, and pork rib congee for herself. The side dishes were Guangdong choy sum and green beans.

As the two were eating quietly, Bai Xin’s phone rang.

After answering the call, Bai Xin wiped her mouth and said: “Something came up at the company.”

Cheng Jiqing nodded: “Let’s leave together then.”

    “Something on this afternoon?”

“Going back to Nanjing, then to the dance studio.”

    “Dance studio?”

Cheng Jiqing remembered that she had been at odds with Bai Xin these past few days and hadn’t mentioned the dance studio or filming. She said: “Just right, if you’re not in a hurry to leave, I have something to tell you too.”

Bai Xin put on a serious expression, a conditioned reflex of facing the unknown, of foreseeing danger.

“What’s with that expression? It’s not bad news.”

Cheng Jiqing, being stared at by Bai Xin, said: “I’m preparing to go act in a film…”

Bai Xin was taken aback; this was completely unexpected. Her lips parted slightly. She hadn’t known Cheng Jiqing for long, but it wasn’t short either.

At least, in her social circle, it was like that.

    “Acting?” Bai Xin confirmed.

Cheng Jiqing nodded; this reaction was also within expectations, the same as Cheng Jing’s reaction when she first heard.

“Do you remember that dress from last time? I actually bought it to audition for a role. I wanted to tell you a couple of days ago.”

Bai Xin remembered that black diamond long dress, V-neck, with a slit on the leg that could reveal Cheng Jiqing’s long, straight leg.

Her expression darkened: “So you wore that dress to film? And let others see it too?”

Cheng Jiqing: “…Why is your focus on that?”

She thought Bai Xin would first ask her why she suddenly wanted to act, or something similar.

Bai Xin ignored her question: “Is it or isn’t it?”

Cheng Jiqing said: “That was for the audition, just for filming a video. I’ll only know what role it is after the open casting.”

“You filmed a video? Dancing in the dress?”

    “…En.”

    “Let me see.”

Bai Xin’s tone was light, but her eyes held a hint of dominance and concern.

Compared to her surprise about Cheng Jiqing acting, Bai Xin was more concerned about what she wore and more eager to see the video she filmed. This kind of concern gave Cheng Jiqing a special feeling in her heart, faint and delightful.

The corners of her mouth curved up. She said: “I’ll show you later. Also, I’ve scheduled a meeting with a talent agency tomorrow. If the discussion goes well, I might start filming.”

This was very important to her.

Cheng Jiqing felt very happy sharing such important news with Bai Xin first.

Bai Xin had a trace of emotion in her heart. At business banquets, whether private or public, there would always be some beauties from the entertainment industry participating.

Those nouveau riche tycoons or wealthy families always had their eyes on those women.

Therefore, she didn’t have a very good opinion of that industry, or rather, she felt that people in that industry were very vulnerable and easily targeted.

So, subconsciously, she didn’t want Cheng Jiqing to be like those people, to be targeted.

But Bai Xin looked at Cheng Jiqing’s fox-like eyes, and the light in them was something she had never seen in Cheng Jiqing’s eyes before.

“I’ve never told you, I actually really like acting.”

    Cheng Jiqing said.

Cheng Jiqing was wearing her nightgown, the light blue one. Perhaps Cheng Jiqing hadn’t noticed that the waistband had loosened at some point, revealing the camisole underneath.

There was a circle of lace at the edge of her chest, ineffectively covering the marks of soft collision.

Bai Xin’s gaze paused slightly, then shifted: “Why do you like it?”

Cheng Jiqing covered the dishes on the table and replied: “I guess I want to experience other people’s lives.”

When she was little, whenever she felt her own life was too bitter, she loved to read books, watch movies and TV shows. She always felt that if only she could be someone else, live in someone else’s world, suffer their hardships, and taste their sweetness.

Whether she liked it or not, she could return to reality as soon as she stopped.

After Cheng Jiqing finished speaking, she suddenly turned to look at Bai Xin. Later, she really did come to someone else’s world.

Only now, this place had already become her world.

Bai Xin listened to this sentence, was silent for a moment, then asked: “Which company?”

Cheng Jiqing said: “Yixin. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it?”

After she said it, she thought, it’s quite good, it even shares a character with Bai Xin’s name.

    Bai Xin paused.

    Her eyes shifted: “Yixin?”

Cheng Jiqing nodded: “The agent gave me a business card. I’m going to meet them tomorrow.”

Bai Xin didn’t speak for a few seconds, until Cheng Jiqing waved a hand in front of her face. She grabbed that hand: “Are you really going to act?”

    “Could it be fake?”

“Then you should go to Yixin.” Bai Xin added: “Yixin is not bad.”

Cheng Jiqing nodded in agreement: “Even Boss Bai praises it, so it must be good. But I still need to talk to them tomorrow to know if it’s suitable.”

Bai Xin seemed to be thinking about something, and slowly responded.

“Let me see the business card.”

Cheng Jiqing handed it to her from her bag. Bai Xin glanced at the name and then returned it.

Although she was somewhat concerned, she wouldn’t stop Cheng Jiqing.

In any case, I’ll just have to keep an eye on things in the future.

They left together. Bai Xin’s car was still at the bar, so Cheng Jiqing first drove her near the Bai Corporation.

It was almost five o’clock, and the color of the sunlight was still brilliant.

    “I’m leaving.”

    “Okay.”

Bai Xin opened the car door, then closed it, turned her head and said: “I’ll be back tonight.”

Cheng Jiqing paused, a gentle smile appearing on her lips: “Okay, Miss Bai.”

There was also a smile in Bai Xin’s eyes, just a bit fainter.

Watching the person leave, Cheng Jiqing sat quietly in place for a minute.

Her mood was very good. The car turned and headed towards Nanshan.

Sunlight streamed in through the car window. Ahead was a straight road. Cheng Jiqing turned on the radio, still on that music channel.

    A song was playing—

Understanding a person also requires patience
    One must go through accidents
    To understand so-called love
    In the years to come
    Let us understand together
    How much is everlasting
How many times will the stream flow gently
We are each other’s special person…

It wasn’t a particularly difficult matter, just something the people at Bai Corporation couldn’t handle.

She had her assistant drive the car back from the bar. Before entering the office, she first went to the restroom.

“Have you seen 《Addicted to Her》3? The scale of this movie is incredible.”

“I went to the midnight premiere with my girlfriend. Her face was all pale after watching it… But the atmosphere was great, and the plot and dialogue were excellent.”

“When I saw that scene, I almost thought it was a porn film.”

Bai Xin rarely watched movies, especially romance films.

Occasionally, she would watch some detective or suspense horror films.

Thinking of this, she suddenly thought of Cheng Jiqing, remembered that time on the sofa when Cheng Jiqing massaged her waist, and then…

Bai Xin took a shallow breath. Three months, this person is really ruthless.

Bai Xin quickly resolved the matter, didn’t linger, and didn’t go directly back to Nanshan. Instead, she drove to XM.

In Zhou Yushu’s CEO office, Bai Xin sat on the sofa, looking at her phone with one hand.

Zhou Yushu, wearing a shirt and trousers, hung up the phone, tilted her head to look at Bai Xin, and said: “The person will be in shortly.”

    “En.”

“You don’t even care about your backend companies, why do you suddenly want to see an agent?”

    “Just felt like seeing one.”

Zhou Yushu leaned back in her chair. Then she heard a knock on the door. She replied: “Please come in.”

Ada had been in the entertainment industry for over a decade and had met many prominent figures, but meeting her new boss for the first time still made her somewhat nervous.

After all, she was just an agent. For the group’s big boss to specifically request to see her, how could she not be nervous?

She walked into the bright and clean office. The CEO sat at the desk, and there was another person whose identity she couldn’t discern.

    “Hello, Boss Zhou.”

Zhou Yushu nodded, sized her up. A thirty-five-year-old Beta, with regular features, looking very energetic.

She turned to ask the person on the sofa: “The person is here. What do you want to ask?”

Hearing this, Ada also looked over at the same time. She saw the woman slowly raise her eyes. Ada was slightly stunned in her heart; if this face entered the entertainment industry, it would be excellent material.

The woman’s voice was a bit hoarse.

“You two just chat casually first.”

    Zhou Yushu: “…?”

Basically, Zhou Yushu would ask a question, and Ada would answer.

Gradually, it felt strange. Ada roughly understood that she was called here probably because of the person on the sofa. Judging by Boss Zhou’s attitude, that person likely had a significant background.

But to call her here and ask about her ancestral home? Which ethnic group? What expectations did she have for the company’s development? What were her personal career plans???

    Why couldn’t she quite understand?

She doesn’t understand. Zhou Yushu gritted her teeth and muttered inwardly.

She really wanted to smoke, but due to Bai Xin’s throat, a cigarette remained unlit in her hand for a long time.

She even asked the person what their views were on labor arbitration…

Finally, after a few minutes, Bai Xin spoke.

    “Ada, please sit.”

Bai Xin made a simple inviting gesture towards the single sofa next to her.

Ada looked at Zhou Yushu, then sat down.

“I’d like to trouble you with something.”

    “Please speak.”

“The person you’re meeting tomorrow, I hope you will sign her, no matter what method you use.”

Ada paused, remembering that exquisite and special face: “Are you referring to Cheng Jiqing?”

    Zhou Yushu: “?”

    Zhou Yushu’s pupils trembled slightly.

Bai Xin said lightly: “Yes, I mean no matter what method, which means you can accept all her conditions. However, you cannot let her know that I asked you to do this.”

Ada also had those young ladies from wealthy families who came to act, most of whom would bring their own resources. But Cheng Jiqing was someone she had picked from the extras…

Could there be some special relationship?

Or does this boss have some designs on Cheng Jiqing?

Ada thought for a moment and felt that some bottom lines needed to be stated in advance: “This boss, there’s something I might need to say. After signing, the artists under me are only responsible for acting, nothing else.”

Bai Xin raised an eyebrow; now she was truly satisfied with this person.

    “Just remember what you said.”

Bai Xin said: “Sign her, and you will personally be responsible for her.”

“Cheng Jiqing is going to act?”

As soon as Ada left, Zhou Yushu leaned back in her chair, the shock on her face yet to fade: “Is she crazy?”

Bai Xin shot her a glance, coolly: “What’s wrong with acting?”

Zhou Yushu felt unhappy being glared at. Previously, when they talked about Cheng Jiqing, it was always hinted at, and Bai Xin had never been so obviously protective.

She tapped her cigarette: “Can you be any more obvious? Cheng Jing’s birthday banquet is next month. I think you’d better not go, be careful not to let the cat out of the bag and have Cheng Jing notice something.”

Her tone was normal, but the words weren’t very pleasant.

Bai Xin’s expression tightened, and she didn’t answer.

Usually, Bai Xin was like this, but today Zhou Yushu felt that Bai Xin was very different. Her mood was different when she arrived, and she was openly protecting Cheng Jiqing here, not intending to hide it anymore.

How long has it been? With Bai Xin’s temperament, it wouldn’t be surprising if she directly exposed it to Cheng Jing one day.

“I’m serious, Cheng Jiqing is a Cheng family member. You better watch yourself.”

Y2’s matter, the dust has yet to settle, Bai Xin’s dual gland symptoms haven’t been resolved. Being targeted by Cheng Jing now, is that a good thing?

Bai Xin just said lightly: “I know what I’m doing.”

She had thought about everything she needed to. The truth was, she couldn’t let go of Cheng Jiqing. She was already exercising a lot of restraint. She said: “Settle the matter quickly. Bai Zhaoliang met with people from Beicheng Bank today. I’m afraid he wants to take out a loan. Beicheng Bank and Chengxi Bank have risk communication. You’re familiar with the people at Chengxi, so give them a heads-up.”

Seeing that the person hadn’t completely forgotten about business, Zhou Yushu relaxed a bit:

    “Got it.”

Bai Xin was thinking, if things were resolved sooner, she wouldn’t have to hide company matters from Cheng Jiqing anymore.

But when the time comes, if Cheng Jiqing finds out that Yixin is hers, what kind of expression will she have?

Bai Xin lowered her head and opened Cheng Jiqing’s text message box, sending: 【I’m done with work.】

    【So fast, I’m not back yet.】

    【Where are you?】

【Hualai Plaza. Want to eat out?】

It was only about a twenty-minute drive from XM.

    Bai Xin: 【Okay.】

Cheng Jiqing: 【Should I come pick you up?】

Zhou Yushu watched Bai Xin constantly looking at her phone: “Since you’re already here, let’s have dinner together tonight?”

As her voice fell, Bai Xin stood up: “I have a date.”

    “Who?”

Bai Xin remembered Zhou Yushu’s earlier resistance towards Cheng Jiqing and said: “Cheng Jiqing.”

In the future, Zhou Yushu and Cheng Jiqing would definitely meet again, and perhaps they would interact for a long time. She didn’t want Cheng Jiqing to be treated like this by anyone.

    Zhou Yushu: “…”

Zhou Yushu: “Why don’t you just anger me to death.”

Bai Xin went downstairs. Just as she was about to start the car, she received another message from Cheng Jiqing.

Cheng Jiqing: 【Bai Xin, want to go see a movie?】

The dimple on Bai Xin’s left cheek appeared involuntarily. She replied: 【What movie?】

    Cheng Jiqing sent a screenshot.

【Which one do you want to see?】

Bai Xin opened the picture. It was a movie schedule. Her gaze hadn’t even moved before it stopped directly on the first one.

She circled it and sent it to Cheng Jiqing.

    On this end.

Cheng Jiqing, holding a glass of orange juice, sat on a high stool in a drink shop, looking at Bai Xin’s reply.

In the picture, the first movie was circled in red.

    《Addicted to Her》

The author has something to say:

Chengcheng: Let’s go, see a movie.

Bai Xin: Let’s go, see a porn film4 (not)

LP: Didn’t expect BX to be so horny! Is CJQ’s techniques that good???
