When the Female Lead Becomes Obsessive – Chapter 191

Volume Eight: Those Years When I Was an Alpha

Abstinence

Wen Nuan could only resign from her teaching position at the First Military Academy with tears in her eyes. After all, her pheromones had been fluctuating wildly recently, and she couldn’t risk affecting the academy’s students again.

Wen Nuan couldn’t be bothered to go to the laboratory where she used to work, so she basically just stayed home. But there was one good thing that made her happy: Jiang Yichuan was no longer living at the school. She had moved in with her, eating and living together.

Every day, Wen Nuan would fall asleep holding Jiang Yichuan, eat the breakfast Jiang Yichuan made, send Jiang Yichuan off to school, and then obediently wait at home for Jiang Yichuan to come back and make her dinner. After dinner, she would continue to fall asleep holding Jiang Yichuan.

Wen Nuan didn’t want to live such a placid life. Several times, she was just a kick at the goal’s door1 away from doing this and that with Jiang Yichuan, but right at the most critical moment, Jiang Yichuan would stop her next move.

The main reason was that Feng Ban had once told her she had to be abstinent for a month, otherwise, acting recklessly would be detrimental to her body’s long-term recovery.

Although Jiang Yichuan disliked Feng Ban, she still approved of her instructions and advice. So for the past few days, Wen Nuan could only kiss Jiang Yichuan. Every time the kisses became passionate and she couldn’t control herself, Jiang Yichuan, afraid she would go further, would forcibly stop her. If she couldn’t be stopped, she would resort to fighting her.

Wen Nuan stared at the broken bed and fell into deep thought. “I was just kissing you and touching you, and we’ve already broken three beds. If I actually get on top of you after this month is over, are you going to tear down my entire house?”

Jiang Yichuan finished getting dressed, her face red and her heart pounding. “I’m just… strictly following the doctor’s orders.”

“Doctor’s orders my ass, what kind of damn doctor is Feng Ban!” Wen Nuan beckoned. “Come on, let’s go sleep in the guest room.”

Jiang Yichuan said awkwardly, “The bed for the guest room isn’t being delivered until tomorrow.”

“…” Wen Nuan sighed and said with a helpless smile, “Darling, can we be a little gentler next time? It’s a good thing I dodged in time, or I would have ended up just like this bed.”

Jiang Yichuan fastened her pants and complained, “Who… who told you to always try to… use force?”

Several times, she had barely been able to withstand Wen Nuan’s forceful advances and had almost continued their chaotic mess.

Wen Nuan’s attraction to her was simply too powerful. If she hadn’t remembered Feng Ban’s instructions at the critical moment, she would have completely fallen into Wen Nuan’s hands.

Wen Nuan watched with regret as Jiang Yichuan straightened her clothes, her gaze sweeping fiercely across Jiang Yichuan’s chest. “There are only two days left until the month is up. We don’t have to be so strict with the timing. Besides, you know perfectly well how my body has recovered, don’t you?”

She moved closer to Jiang Yichuan, pulling her into an embrace and burying her face in that snow-white neck, kissing it delicately.

“Darling, let’s continue. It’s fine if there’s no bed, we have a sofa in the living room.”

Jiang Yichuan tilted her head back. “The sofa was smashed the day before yesterday.”

“Then let’s go to the dining table in the kitchen.”

A hand moved towards a peak.

Jiang Yichuan pressed down on the restless hand, catching her breath. “The dining table was smashed yesterday. I haven’t had a chance to buy a new one.”

“Then… then if you don’t mind, we could go to the balcony. The moonlight is lovely tonight, perfect for some moon-gazing?”

Jiang Yichuan sucked in a breath. “I just fastened my buttons, and you’ve torn them open again.”

She pulled out of Wen Nuan’s embrace and fastened her bra clasp. “Our balcony is open-air. You want to streak?”

Wen Nuan thought for a moment. “Forget it. I’d rather streak myself than let you streak.”

Jiang Yichuan shot her a glare. “You can’t either.”

How could she possibly let anyone else see Wen Nuan’s body?!

Wen Nuan was well aware of this little jealous habit of Jiang Yichuan’s. She took a step forward, saw her quickly retreat, and sighed. “It’s just two days until the full month is up. We’re not short on these two days.”

“It’s just two days until the full month is up. We’re not in a hurry for these two days,” Jiang Yichuan refused coolly, glancing at the time. “I have to go to the library to grind out some practice questions. The final exams are coming up.”

Wen Nuan grabbed Jiang Yichuan’s wrist, pleading, “Darling, you’re a good student. You’re not short on these two days.”

Jiang Yichuan heartlessly shook off her hand and caressed her face. “Wen Nuan, you’ve already endured for 28 days. You’re not short on these last two.”

Wen Nuan lowered her head wretchedly. The sight of her looking so demoralized made Jiang Yichuan’s heart ache. If it weren’t for Wen Nuan’s health, she would have readily agreed to anything Wen Nuan said.

“How about this, we endure for two more days, okay?” Jiang Yichuan stroked Wen Nuan’s hair. “After two days, I’ll let you… let you do whatever you want with me, okay?”

A glint flashed in Wen Nuan’s eyes as she feigned disappointment. “…Alright.”

Jiang Yichuan knew Wen Nuan was suffering from being pent up—how could she not be suffering as well? She could only hug Wen Nuan and console her. “You be good then. I’m going to study.”

“Mm.”

The room was smashed to the point of looking like an unfinished shell. Jiang Yichuan couldn’t study there, so she had to go to a nearby library to read. This was also a way to get away from Wen Nuan, to prevent the two of them from getting uncontrollably entangled again.

Not long after Jiang Yichuan left, the doorbell rang.

Wen Nuan thought it was Jiang Yichuan who had forgotten something and went to open the door. “Did you miss me… huh? What are you doing here?”

Feng Ban grinned, showing her teeth. “I missed you.”

“Scram!” Wen Nuan slammed the door.

Feng Ban pounded on the door. “Bitch, open the door!”

“Damned pest, in your dreams!” All of Wen Nuan’s current pent-up frustration was thanks to her.

“I came to say goodbye, you just…” Feng Ban watched the door open and walked into the room with a grin. “I knew you were soft-hearted, you’d definitely let me… fuck2, did your place just go through a war?”

She stared at the living room, which looked like a battlefield, her mouth agape. “Did the insectoid race invade your home? Did they chew your place up into this sorry state?”

Wen Nuan sat on the sofa and pointed to the other half. “Sit wherever. I won’t be playing host.”

Feng Ban placed the things she had brought on the coffee table. The moment she set them down, the table let out a piercing screech, and then the entire thing suddenly exploded, showering the floor with glass shards.

Feng Ban: “…”

She pointed at the pile of fragments, confused. “This is?”

Wen Nuan smiled. “A coffee table.”

“Whose coffee table looks like this?”

“Mine.”

The directness of the reply left Feng Ban speechless.

She helplessly took out a can of beer and tossed it over. “I fucking give up. This sofa, this coffee table, and that pile of broken wood in the kitchen, don’t tell me that was a dining table?”

Wen Nuan opened the bottle and took a sip. “Congratulations, you guessed right.”

“What happened?”

Wen Nuan glared at her. “Isn’t this all your doing? Going on about how I need to recuperate for a month, can’t mess around, have to be abstinent. But the person you love is dangling in front of your eyes every day. Even a Great Overarching Golden Immortal3 wouldn’t be able to resist.”

“So…” Feng Ban pointed at the severed limbs and broken walls4. “You forced yourself on Jiang Yichuan?”

Wen Nuan shot her a look. “Do I look like that kind of person?”

She held out her hand. “Give me a cigarette.”

Feng Ban took one out of her pocket and passed it over. “Then what happened?”

Wen Nuan looked at the familiar cigarette holder and took a drag. It was a familiar taste.

She smiled. “Your imitation skills are getting more and more impressive.”

Feng Ban’s cigarettes were indistinguishable from those the system produced for her. The only difference was that smoking Feng Ban’s would cause some minor harm to the body, like the effect of ordinary cigarettes, whereas the ones made by the system would not.

Feng Ban also took one out and started smoking, humming. “Of course. I won’t say much about other things, but my craftsmanship is definitely this.”

She gave a thumbs-up. “But seriously, what on earth happened to your place?”

Wen Nuan held the cigarette holder between two fingers, swallowing clouds and spitting out mist5. “I wanted to sleep with her, she wouldn’t let me, and this is what happened.”

Feng Ban raised an eyebrow. “Because of who’s on top?”

“Because of you!”

“Me?” Feng Ban looked aggrieved. “What does it have to do with me? I didn’t smash your house.”

Her words angered Wen Nuan so much that she picked up a sofa leg and threw it at her.

“If it wasn’t for you, you damned pest, saying I had to be abstinent, would I6 have been pent up for so long? Jiang Yichuan refuses to let me do it, and the moment I get impulsive, she fights me. And the result is the house gets beaten to a pulp.”

Feng Ban laughed so hard her stomach hurt. “You, I really give up. But Jiang Yichuan is truly a dragon or phoenix among men7. I said one month, and she actually believed it and really didn’t let you touch her for a month. As expected of an S-rank Omega8. That combat power, impressive!”

One had to know that Wen Nuan was now a double S-rank Alpha. For Jiang Yichuan to be able to fight her to a draw, her strength was definitely top-tier.

Wen Nuan held the cigarette in her mouth and smiled. “Of course. If my darling isn’t impressive, who is?”

Feng Ban made a gagging motion. “I just ate. Don’t gross me out.”

“You’re just jealous and envious!” Wen Nuan laughed and cursed at her.

“I am actually a little jealous and envious.”

Feng Ban said this without a hint of jest; a trace of seriousness could even be detected in her tone.

Wen Nuan paused, suddenly at a loss for words.

Seeing Wen Nuan’s difficult expression, Feng Ban gave a helpless smile. “I’m just kidding with you, and you took it seriously. Someone like you, I wouldn’t even be interested.”

Wen Nuan twitched the corner of her mouth, taking it as her joke.

The two fell into a brief silence.

Feng Ban looked at the moon hanging high outside. “The moonlight is nice tonight.”

Wen Nuan looked over as well. The moon was large and round, hanging in the night sky, illuminating the deepest secrets in everyone’s heart.

“It is quite nice.”

Feng Ban emptied a bottle of beer and opened another.

She held the bottle in one hand and a cigarette in the other, saying softly, “I have to go.”

Wen Nuan said, “Where to?”

“Home,” Feng Ban said jokingly. “I’ve been out for too long. Deluobu has also been around for too long. It’s time for us to disappear.”

The planet Deluobu had now been present for so long that it had already attracted the attention of other planets.

Wen Nuan looked at Feng Ban’s side profile. That blue hair was from a time when she was doing an experiment, and Feng Ban had volunteered to test a drug for her, and it was accidentally created as a result.

Feng Ban’s beautiful, glossy black hair had been turned the color of the sky by her.

“Why not settle down on Tofis? I can handle the immigration procedures for you. Stay for a wedding?”

“No, there is no banquet in the world that does not end9.” Feng Ban clinked her bottle against hers. “I have no harbor to rely on. I’m destined to be a drifter.”

Wen Nuan raised an eyebrow. “Since you don’t want to stay, I won’t force you. Come back and visit when you have time.”

Feng Ban shrugged. “Alright.”

She took a drag from her cigarette and asked, seemingly casually, “When did you fall in love with Jiang Yichuan?”

Wen Nuan was puzzled. “Why are you asking that?”

Feng Ban turned her head, looking at the way Wen Nuan smoked. This person was very beautiful, and whenever she smoked, her beauty became even more unique and piercing.

She tilted her head back, the graceful curve of her neck appearing even more slender. When she drank, her Adam’s apple bobbed slowly, carrying a heart-pounding allure and temptation.

Those slender fingers held the thin cigarette holder, and faint smoke billowed from her rosy lips. Shrouded in the smoke, her delicate features became blurred, making one feel dazed, as if seeing the gorgeous scene of a rose in full bloom.

This Wen Nuan was truly an alluring person.

“Just asking. Can’t I be curious about your romantic history?”

Wen Nuan thought of the past few worlds and smiled. “If we’re really counting, it’s been a very long time.”

Feng Ban paused, a few images flashing through her mind, and she smiled casually. “…Isn’t that the truth.”

She still remembered how, in the past, when Wen Nuan talked about her junior, the smile on that beautiful face was endless. The emotion in her eyes—wasn’t it elation and joy?
