When the Female Lead Becomes Obsessive – Chapter 172

Volume Eight: Those Years When I Was an Alpha

Fuck Him Up1

Whether it was a negotiation or a threat was clear at a glance.

Bian Tuo took firm control of the auction house. His expression was calm, a smile played on his lips, and he clearly had a manner where substance and refinement were equally blended2, but the pressure he released was sharp and ruthless, causing the auction house to become silent as a winter cicada.

Xi Chen and the others held their mecha loaders in their hands, ready at any moment.

They were waiting for Chaoyang’s signal, not daring to act rashly.

But the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang was notoriously infamous. Everyone in the auction house was scared and trembling, even the beta host was drenched in cold sweat, his legs shaking.

Bian Tuo raised his eyes and swept his gaze across the entire venue. “It seems no one wishes to bid, in that case, I’ll just…”

The price on the large screen suddenly jumped. The bid amount instantly leaped to one hundred and twenty thousand Star Coins.

Everyone gasped as they watched the price change.

Bian Tuo’s eyes narrowed, and he chuckled. “Very good. How courageous.”

“I pressed it by accident,” an alpha explained in terror. “I was scared and my hand was shaking, I pressed it by accident, I didn’t…”

Tian He, piloting a heavy-duty mecha, gave a signal to the mechas in the back row. They raised their machine guns and fired wildly at the audience in Section A. Screams rose here and fell there. The audience members in the other three sections were so frightened they collapsed to the floor.

The bidding number that had flashed on the big screen was A-0583.

A large number of people in Section A were killed or injured. Some had hidden under their seats to dodge the bullets, but most had already been turned into sieves, like piles of rotten mud.

The price on the big screen jumped to one hundred and thirty thousand Star Coins. The shooting stopped. Everyone froze in place, not daring to touch their bidding devices, nor daring to run, because they were already surrounded by the Evil Ghosts.

“Holy fuck, this Bian Tuo is truly ruthless!” Quan Yang said hoarsely, looking at the corpses and dripping blood that covered the ground in Section A. “He actually just started killing?”

They were seated in Section B, and the blood flowing from Section A had already stained the soles of their shoes and their eyes red.

They were still just students. The usual school combat and military drills were just a form of routine training. They could fight and drill with other students with a calm heart, but they had never killed anyone, had never seen such a bloody and terrifying scene. They didn’t know that a single careless action could bring about a disaster that could kill the body3.

They knew in their hearts about the cruelty and viciousness of the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang, but that was all information on paper. Now, experiencing it for real, the shock they received was empty before and cut off after4.

“Is Bian Tuo really an omega?” Shi Yaqi tried her best to control the fearful trembling of her body.

The omegas in her impression were delicate, fragile, sweet, and harmless, but the ones she had met recently were either violent and cold, debauched and unrestrained, or ruthless like Bian Tuo.

Shi Jiayang said in a low voice, “Just as the files said. Bian Tuo is an autocrat. He never leaves mercy under his hand5 when dealing with those who disobey him.”

“You should all be clear on how many small planets the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang has annihilated,” Chu Luo took a deep breath. “We have to be careful.”

Xi Chen looked around, his gaze sharp. “We must get in contact with Teacher Chaoyang. If no one bids, Bian Tuo will definitely leave with the Sun manuscript, and we won’t have another chance to get close to him.”

Most importantly, the Sun manuscript and Mu Wen Nuan could not be taken away by the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang.

Even if he wouldn’t go crazy, Jiang Yichuan wouldn’t be able to take it.

Shi Jiayang whispered, “I’ve been trying to contact Teacher Chaoyang, but the messages are all unread.”

“Then what do we do?” Quan Yang was about to die of anxiety looking at the situation. “If we can’t contact Teacher Chaoyang, are we really going to press the soldiers and not move6, and just let Bian Tuo and his people leave?”

“Just relying on the six of us, do you think we can keep Bian Tuo here?” Chu Luo looked at the number of mechas in the venue, all fully and excellently equipped. Even if they could take on two or even three at once, they still couldn’t break through the Evil Ghosts’ encirclement.

“Besides, he might not let us leave here alive.”

Shi Yaqi’s eyes widened. “What do you mean by that?”

“The Sun manuscript. He won’t let word of it get out, otherwise he’ll attract the full attention and firepower of the entire interstellar universe,” Jiang Yichuan opened the valve on her mecha loader. “So, regardless of whether we make a move against the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang today, they will definitely kill us to sever future troubles7.”

The Sun manuscript was too important. If all the planets in the interstellar universe knew that the Sun manuscript had fallen into Bian Tuo’s hands, it would undoubtedly be the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang’s greatest crisis.

Bian Tuo wouldn’t put himself in a desperate situation, even if it meant having to break off his tail to survive8.

“It seems no warrior intends to bid against me, in that case, I’ll just…”

The price on the large screen suddenly jumped again, the bid amount leaping to one hundred and forty thousand Star Coins.

Bian Tuo looked at the bidder number on the screen.

001

There was no section prefix.

The mechas’ cannons suddenly didn’t know where to aim.

Bian Tuo frowned and looked at the beta host. “…Heh, who is this 001?”

The beta host lost color from his panic9. “I don’t know where this came from either! Our bidding numbers are all four digits, it’s impossible for there to be a 001?!”

A trace of interest flashed in Bian Tuo’s eyes. “Interesting.”

He pressed his bidder, and the amount jumped to one hundred and fifty thousand Star Coins. The next second, the amount jumped again to one hundred and sixty thousand Star Coins.

The bidder number was still 001.

“Hey, is your auction system short-circuiting?” Xin Zhen shouted. “Why is the amount randomly fucking jumping around on its own? Is your auction house trying to catch a white wolf with empty hands10?”

“You dare to mess with our Boss?” Xin Zhen piloted his mecha, aiming his machine gun at the beta host. “Do you fucking believe Laozi11 will blow your brains out?”

“No, I didn’t.” The beta host trembled, his snot and tears flowing horizontally.

He waved his hands in a panic. “We don’t know about this 001 either. The starting number was 0001.”

“Listen to you recklessly fabricate and randomly create, Laozi will just blow…”

“Enough, Xin Zhen. Listen to the Boss,” Tian He stopped Xin Zhen’s actions and sent a message to his optical computer. “The Boss hates people who make their own propositions12. Have you forgotten?”

Xin Zhen’s face went white. He looked at Bian Tuo. “Bo… Boss, I was just trying to…”

Bian Tuo ignored Xin Zhen’s panic, looking as if he was thinking of something at the bidding device in his hand.

0001 was his bidder number.

Was that person deliberately messing with him?

Bian Tuo smiled.

When Xin Zhen saw Bian Tuo smile, he was so scared his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys13 were about to fly out. He looked at Tian He, trembling. “Brother, I think I’m about to die.”

Tian He said, “…”

Bian Tuo pressed his bidder again, and the bid on the screen jumped to one hundred and seventy thousand Star Coins.

He drew the laser pistol from his waist, aimed it at the controller between the four large screens, pressed the trigger, and fired.

Tian He leaped onto the display stage, raising his shield to protect Bian Tuo from being injured by the fragments.

The beta host immediately seized the opportunity and shouted, “Number 0001 has won the bid…”

Just then, the already dark screens lit up again. The bid amount on them had jumped to one hundred and eighty thousand Star Coins.

Bian Tuo’s eyes narrowed, a trace of displeasure flashing within them.

He looked at the audience present and said softly, “Who is it?”

No one answered.

“As long as this 001 obediently steps forward, I will let the rest of you leave.”

A commotion started in the audience. Everyone began to suspect each other. Some even snatched the bidding devices from others’ hands, trying to push out a ghost to die in their place14.

“What do we do?” Quan Yang looked at the bidder number in his hand. “What the hell is this 001?”

Shi Yaqi guessed, “Could it be Teacher Chaoyang?”

“It’s possible,” Chu Luo said, watching the crowd that had already begun to mutually wound and kill one another15 to save their own lives. “This must be the secret signal Teacher Chaoyang is giving us.”

Quan Yang’s eyes focused. “Then do we go now?”

“No,” Xi Chen said. “To show our heads at this time is to court death.”

If they did, all the firepower of the Evil Ghost Bandit Gang would be concentrated on them, and they wouldn’t be able to withstand it at all.

“Cause a commotion and attack during the chaos.” Jiang Yichuan gripped her mecha loader tightly. “You all draw everyone’s attention to me. Find an opportunity to rush up and capture Bian Tuo.”

Xi Chen immediately said, “No, that’s too dangerous. You can’t brave danger with a lone body16.”

“It has to be done, whether you like it or not,” Jiang Yichuan grabbed Xi Chen by the collar, her voice filled with hatred. “Mu Wen Nuan must die by my hands.”

Xi Chen’s pupils widened, his mouth mute with no words.

Jiang Yichuan looked at Quan Yang. “Cause a commotion. It’s your specialty. Hurry up!”

Quan Yang had no mind to bicker about Jiang Yichuan’s taunt. He looked at her with difficulty. “No, it’s too dangerous for you this way.”

“So what?” Jiang Yichuan’s eyes darkened. “I can last for five minutes. Who among you can?”

Facing the heavily armed Evil Ghost Bandit Gang, she could last for five minutes with her strength.

The others’ expressions changed slightly.

Indeed, among the six of them, Jiang Yichuan was the strongest. She wouldn’t be disturbed by pheromones, and her combat and mecha skills were the best. She could last five minutes, but they could not.

Chu Luo took a deep breath and shouted, “001 is over here! Everyone, grab her—”

Everyone’s attention was instantly drawn over. Jiang Yichuan immediately entered her mecha and piloted it to flee around the auction hall.

The Evil Ghost Bandit Gang’s mechas instantly rushed toward Jiang Yichuan. That silver mecha weaved through a forest of guns and a rain of bullets17. Every laser sweep, every cannon blast, every ruthless stab—none of it was something the other five could have withstood.

“Capture Bian Tuo, and Jiang Yichuan can be saved,” Chu Luo said, seeing that only one mecha remained to protect Bian Tuo. “Xi Chen, tie up that heavy-duty mecha. The rest of you, go and capture Bian Tuo.”

“Okay—”

The five of them entered their mechas. Five streams of colorful light flew toward the display stage, heading straight for Bian Tuo.

Seeing this, Tian He immediately blocked Bian Tuo’s path. “Boss, be careful!”

Bian Tuo took a step back. Seeing the beta host preparing to escape in the chaos, he raised his hand and shot him with the laser pistol.

“Xin Zhen, come back and protect the Boss,” Tian He sent an urgent notice. “This is luring the tiger away from the mountain18. That silver mecha is a decoy.”

Xin Zhen reacted, looking at the display stage where the fight had already broken out, and immediately piloted his mecha to return.

“Courting death!” Xin Zhen looked at the silver mecha blocking his way, and his machine gun cannons aimed directly at it, unleashing a frantic barrage.

But all the cannonballs missed. The silver mecha that had been in front of him vanished like a phantom.

Xin Zhen was anxious to get back and protect Bian Tuo, but he suddenly felt a sharp killing intent.

His back was viciously slashed, and the mecha’s outer shell instantly cracked. Before Xin Zhen could react, he was hit by another cannon blast, and the mecha was sent flying into the Section A audience seats.

“Fuck!” Xin Zhen’s eyes were bloodshot as he roared, biting his teeth and grinding his teeth, “I’ll fucking slaughter you!”

The heavy-duty mecha changed form. Dozens of machine guns and cannons aimed at the silver mecha. The firepower was too fierce and too dense. The silver mecha was already damaged, its exterior burned to charcoal, and its long saber had been shattered by the cannon fire.

The silver mecha dodged, avoiding a sneak attack from behind, but was met with a direct slash from Xin Zhen in front, which destroyed the mecha’s engine.

Jiang Yichuan immediately switched the mecha’s operation mode to manual, dodged Xin Zhen’s laser, and charged swiftly toward Bian Tuo on the stage, as if in a stance of returning to nothingness together.

Seeing her action, Xin Zhen sucked in a breath and immediately charged forward. “Fuck! Tian He, protect the Boss! That silver mecha wants to harm the Boss!”

Tian He turned to protect Bian Tuo but was blocked by a golden mecha flying in from the right.

Xi Chen said, “You wish to leave!”

Tian He could only call for other mechas to quickly protect Bian Tuo, but the silver mecha’s speed was too fast. It was clearly not trying to capture Bian Tuo, but to perish together with him.

“Stop that silver mecha!”

Watching the constantly accelerating silver mecha, a flash of grief crossed Chu Luo’s eyes as he murmured, “…Jiang Yichuan.”

Jiang Yichuan accelerated, charging fiercely toward Bian Tuo. At a distance of a zhi and a chi19, in the next second, that person suddenly disappeared.

Jiang Yichuan felt a heavy pressure on her back. The mecha was stomped into the display stage. Standing on its back was a purple-star mecha. Bian Tuo drew his long saber and stabbed toward the silver mecha’s energy source.

“No—” Xi Chen screamed in horror.

Clang—

The purple-star mecha’s long saber was knocked away by another long saber that flew in from a distance.

Bian Tuo looked at the pattern on the long saber, his eyes turning cold as he ground out through his teeth, “…Chaoyang!”

The hatred in his voice was exceptionally intense.

Wen Nuan stood at the highest point, her gaze falling on the silver mecha being stomped on by the purple-light mecha, and she frowned.

She looked at Bian Tuo, her killing intent exposed, and said in a cold voice, “Get your stinking feet off her for Laozi!”
