After that shout, Yuan Yue felt extremely satisfied. Everyone present was probably stunned by her drastic behavior, each one of them staring at her, dumbstruck and gaping1.
Since Yuan Xi had already spoken up, Yuan Yue felt there was no need to keep up the act. When she turned back, she saw that Yu Xi had already returned to normal. Yuan Yue went over, took her hand, and said with a grin, “Let’s go!”
As she passed by Yuan Xi, Yuan Yue deliberately paused again and whispered to him, “Ge2, I’ll leave this to you. Thanks!”
Yuan Xi’s eyes darted away, avoiding hers. He pretended to be impatient and said, “Go, go, go. You two, hurry up and disappear from my sight.”
Just as Yuan Yue was pulling Yu Xi toward the exit, Guo Xiangyuan, who had come to his senses, blocked their path. His expression was odd, his gaze shifting back and forth between the two of them. He stammered, “Yueyue, you guys…”
But before Yuan Yue could answer, Yuan Xi dragged Guo Xiangyuan to the side, reeking of alcohol as he said, “Come on, little Yuan, have a few drinks with me!”
Guo Xiangyuan’s eyes seemed to be glued to Yuan Yue. He struggled and said, “Brother-in-law, I can’t drink. I want to see Yueyue and her off.”
Hearing this, Yuan Xi tightened his grip, saying in all seriousness, “They can take a taxi3! What’s a big man like you getting involved for? Come on, come on, we’re not going home until we’re drunk tonight4!” He had Guo Xiangyuan completely subdued and then started calling out to the others, “You all drink up, too! Whoever gets knocked out, I’ll give them the day off tomorrow!”
The moment Yuan Xi said this, everyone came back to life, raising their glasses one after another. Although that passionate kiss from Yuan Yue had been explosive to watch, everyone just treated it as a bit of drama. In an instant, they had completely forgotten about her and Yu Xi.

But since it’s done, it’s done. There’s nothing to worry about.
Yuan Yue reined in her laughter, her hands moving to cup Yu Xi’s face. She said carefully, “Are you scared, too? Don’t you want me to make our relationship public?”
Yu Xi glanced around. Seeing the strange looks people passing by were giving them, she quietly pulled Yuan Yue into an empty corner. Only then did she say with relief, “I’m thinking of you. Acting like that could easily cause people to misunderstand you. Actually, I’ve already thought it through. Whether it’s public or not isn’t important at all. What’s important is that we can be together.”
Yuan Yue’s eyes were a little hazy. She looked up at her and said softly, “I thought you’d mind a lot.”
Yu Xi shook her head and smiled at her. “No. Besides you, I don’t care about anything else at all.”
The two of them gazed at each other tenderly. Yuan Yue was overcome with emotion and hugged her, wanting to kiss her right then and there.

Only then did Yuan Yue remember their situation. A public place really wasn’t appropriate. She pulled Yu Xi’s hand away and looked at her with anticipation. “Then should we go home now?”
Yu Xi’s fingers brushed across her slightly pouting lips. She smiled dotingly. “Okay, let’s go home.”
The moment they got home, Yuan Yue was like a wild horse that has broken free of its reins5. She pressed Yu Xi against the door, and with so much force, she actually snapped the strap of Yu Xi’s bra.
Both of them froze for a second. Yu Xi pressed down on her hand and said with a stifled laugh, “Gently, please. This one was expensive.”
Yuan Yue was also surprised by her own divine strength today. She snapped back to her senses, only to be dizzied by the sight of the dazzlingly white flesh of Yu Xi’s chest. She unconsciously swallowed, her gaze burning as she stared at that spot. “Let’s just rip it. If it breaks, I’ll buy you an even more expensive one.”
Yu Xi had no choice but to let go and allow her to do as she pleased.
Although Yuan Yue was impatient, she still knew to take off both their clothes.
Caught off guard, Yu Xi was pushed to the floor. The cold floorboards against her back made her jolt upright. She said to the already lost Yuan Yue, “Don’t be in such a hurry. Let’s shower first.”
“No, let’s do it6 first,” Yuan Yue said firmly.
Yu Xi held her down to stop her from squirming and coaxed her patiently, “Once we’re clean, you can do whatever you want.”
Yuan Yue remained in her position, straddling her.
Yu Xi’s breath hitched from her intense gaze, but she tried her best to remain calm, gently patting her cheeks. “Alright, get up first. We have a long night ahead of us.”
The bathroom was filled with steam. Yu Xi had just grabbed a clean bath towel to wrap around Yuan Yue. But Yuan Yue pushed her hand away and said impatiently, “I don’t want this.”
Yu Xi already knew she couldn’t wait. If this dragged on any longer, she was afraid Yuan Yue might actually bite someone.
The two of them, tangled together like inseparable vines, rolled onto the bed. Yu Xi kept telling her to take it slow, but Yuan Yue was unusually excited from the alcohol and passed out after just a few moments.
Yu Xi was thoroughly frightened. She quickly scrambled up to check on her, only to see her cheeks flushed red, her eyes squinted as she lay on her back, breathing in huge gasps.
“Are you fighting a war?” Yu Xi asked teasingly, pressing down on her lightly and patting her cheek.
Yuan Yue slowly opened her eyes and smiled with satisfaction. “Again!”
Yu Xi helped wipe the sweat from her forehead and asked worriedly, “Can you really handle it?”
Yuan Yue felt she’d been challenged. She flipped over, pinning Yu Xi underneath her, and said through gritted teeth, “We’ll only know if I can handle it after we try.”
After she spoke, it was another round of fierce, suffocating torment7.
After two rounds, Yuan Yue’s limited stamina was finally exhausted. She lay sprawled on the bed, hugging a pillow, completely defeated. “I can’t… Let’s just leave it at this for today.”
Yu Xi helped massage her shoulders and asked tentatively, “Are you sleepy?”
Yuan Yue’s face was slightly squished by the pillow. She lifted her eyelids and nodded weakly.
“It’s still so early and you’re already sleepy?” Yu Xi couldn’t help but want to laugh, remembering her bold proclamations from earlier.
Yuan Yue struggled to turn over and face her, letting out a huge, ill-timed yawn. She mumbled, “Whatever, I’m gonna sleep first. We can talk after I get my strength back.”
Yu Xi knew she was just putting on a brave front. Seeing her drowsy look, she kissed her on the forehead and said, “If you’re sleepy, then sleep. Good night.”
Before the lights could even be turned off, Yuan Yue gradually fell asleep under Yu Xi’s gentle caress.
Once her breathing evened out, Yu Xi slowly pulled her hand back and whispered, “Sleep, my dear. When you wake up, everything will be wonderful.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Yu Xi turned and switched off the light in the room.

Yuan Yue slept until she woke up naturally. She’d had a sweet dream last night, dreaming that she and Yu Xi went to Germany and got married in an old castle. They received blessings from their friends and family and kissed wantonly in the hall.
She also dreamed they were riding horses on a large ranch, both on the same horse, with Yu Xi sitting behind her.
Yuan Yue was a little scared, so Yu Xi held her and whispered in her ear, “Relax, don’t be nervous.”
Just then, the horse suddenly broke into a gallop. Caught off guard, Yuan Yue’s body lurched backward. She woke up with a scream, shooting bolt upright.
The dream was abruptly shattered.
Hearing the scream, Yu Xi rushed in. She saw Yuan Yue sitting up with messy hair, hugging the blanket with a dazed look on her face. She hurried over and touched her cold hand. “Did you have a nightmare?”
Her consciousness hadn’t fully returned yet. Yuan Yue stared at her blankly for a long time before shaking her head.
Yu Xi let out a sigh of relief and asked again, “Then what happened?”
An unnatural look flashed across Yuan Yue’s face. She lowered her head in embarrassment and said, almost inaudibly, “I woke up because I had to pee…”
Yu Xi froze for a second. When she realized what was said, she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. If it weren’t for the fact that she hadn’t washed her hands, she really would’ve wanted to ruffle that messy head of hers. She said, “Don’t go back to sleep. Get up, wash up, and get ready for breakfast.”
After Yu Xi turned and left, Yuan Yue finally dragged herself out of bed to find some clothes.
Pulling open the closet door, she saw her naked self in the mirror. Her spirits lifted, and she subconsciously checked her body for any marks.
Fortunately, she was the one who had taken the lead last night, so her body was still fair and completely unmarked. Yuan Yue put her heart back in her stomach. She was just reaching for the clothes she was going to wear when her eyes were suddenly dazzled by a shiny thing on the ring finger of her left hand.
Yuan Yue snatched her hand back, looking in disbelief at the new diamond ring on her finger. For a moment, she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her.
Is this still a dream?
Yuan Yue tried to turn the ring and found that the size was just right, as if it had been custom-made for her. She was just about to take it off for a closer look when Yu Xi’s voice came from behind her. “I told you to hurry up and wash. What are you spacing out for?”
Yuan Yue whipped around, stark naked, and stared at her blankly. “You…”
“What about me?” Yu Xi walked closer, confused.
As if in slow motion, Yuan Yue raised her left hand, aiming the sparkling diamond in her direction. She said uncertainly, “Can you tell me what’s going on here?”
Yu Xi glanced at the ring and smiled knowingly. “It’s exactly what you see going on.”
Yuan Yue couldn’t be as calm as she was. She didn’t even bother to put on clothes, flying over to grab Yu Xi’s left hand and examining it over and over. She asked in astonishment, “Where’s yours?”
Yu Xi unhurriedly pulled something out of her back pocket and held it under her nose. “Are you looking for this?”
Yuan Yue saw clearly that it was a diamond ring of the same style as the one on her hand. She grabbed Yu Xi’s hand excitedly.
Yu Xi soothed her, “Don’t be anxious. If you’re going to propose, you have to at least get dressed first, right?”
There was no one else home anyway, so Yuan Yue didn’t care too much. She suppressed her nervousness and said with a tremor in her voice, “Proposal? You propose, or I do?”
“Is there a difference?” Yu Xi looked at her with a half-smile and urged, “Get dressed first. If you keep this up, I won’t be able to control myself.”
Yuan Yue’s mind was a bit of a mess. She stood there foolishly, not knowing what to do.
Yu Xi simply walked past her, grabbed a random piece of clothing from the closet, and was about to put it on for her when a cell phone suddenly rang in the room.
It was Yuan Yue’s phone.
A jolt went through Yuan Yue’s body, and she cooperated as Yu Xi quickly dressed her.
Once dressed, Yuan Yue scrambled over to answer the phone. After a few grunts of “uh-huh” and “ah” to the person on the other end, she pulled the phone away from her ear and said to Yu Xi, who was walking toward her, “It’s Mom. She said she’s about to leave for the city and asked if we want her to bring any good food.”
Yu Xi’s eyes burned as she looked at her, but she said with a nonchalant expression, “Don’t ask me. You decide.”
Yuan Yue put the phone back to her ear. Whenever she looked down, she saw the diamond on her left hand. It was small, but dazzlingly brilliant. Just looking at it made the tide of her heart surge8.
Jiang Yan was still waiting on the other end for her reply.
Yuan Yue slowly raised her head. When her eyes met Yu Xi’s, her face grew hot, and she couldn’t help but reach out her hand.
Without a word, Yu Xi took her hand in a gesture of perfect understanding.
Yuan Yue took a deep breath, the corners of her mouth lifting into a slight smile. She spoke into the receiver, one word, one pause9, “Mom, when you come, could you bring the household registration book10 with you? We don’t need anything else.”

After struggling for two days, I finally finished the last chapter. Perhaps many people won’t be satisfied with this ending, but I believe it’s the most natural outcome.
This was my first time writing a so-called “sweet story,” and I was just fumbling my way through it, relying entirely on a burst of passion. I’m not very skilled, and writing like a hooligan is just messing around. I scared a lot of people away in the middle, but thankfully there are still a few who stuck with me to the end.
