Could It Be That Only You Are Allowed to Eat Vinegar Randomly?¹

In this great white blue sky², and in a public place to boot, although the position they chose was secluded, there was no guarantee someone wouldn’t come running over again. Yuan Yue was made to feel hot and dry all over by a single sentence from Yu Xi; she twisted her body uneasily and rebuked, “I warn you, don’t you dare mess around³ outside.”

Yu Xi held back a laugh, bent her waist to pick up the canvas bag from the ground, and said, “Let’s go. We’re going to open a room⁴ right now.”

Yu Xi had always been like thunder and wind⁵. She dragged Yuan Yue by the hand to change clothes first, and then the two of them, horse not stopping hoof⁶, drove the car toward the nearest hotel.

Upon arriving at the hotel front desk, Yu Xi readily took out both their ID cards, slapped them onto the table surface, and said, “Trouble you to open one room.”

After the procedures were complete, Yu Xi took the room card and, heart urgent and fire singeing⁷, dragged Yuan Yue into the elevator. She reached out and pressed the floor button. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a man and a woman suddenly ran toward them and quickly squeezed inside.

Yu Xi pulled Yuan Yue, subconsciously intending to move further inside to make room, but when she clearly saw the two people who had just run in, her footsteps paused slightly.

What a coincidence. They hadn’t expected to run into Sun Wenya and her husband again at the hotel. This time, they had a face-to-face encounter, and the atmosphere was extremely awkward.

Yuan Yue and Yu Xi were fine; after all, they had already encountered them on the sand beach just a moment ago. They only froze for a second before their expressions returned to indifferent.

Yuan Yue didn’t make a sound.

Yu Xi beat her to it, saying, “It hasn’t been that long, has it? We clearly saw each other when we went back for the Mid-Autumn Festival. We were on the high-speed road then, and Miss Sun didn’t say hello to us either.”

Sun Wenya’s face turned alternating shades of red and pale. She suddenly looked up, her gaze wavering as she looked at Yu Xi, and hesitated, “You are…”

Yu Xi smiled gently and said, “I’m Yu Xi, Yueyue’s girlfriend. Miss Sun should still remember, right?”

Sun Wenya hadn’t expected Yu Xi to admit it so generously. She subconsciously glanced at Yuan Yue beside Yu Xi and found that Yuan Yue also looked completely relaxed. She said bitterly, “You two…”

With a ding, the elevator arrived, and the four of them walked out one after another.

Standing outside the elevator doors, Xu Kai finally had a chance to insert words, “Wenya, why don’t you introduce us?”

Sun Wenya lowered her eyes and said embarrassedly, “This is Yuan Yue, a university classmate of mine. And this is Yu Xi.”

Sun Wenya stopped after simply introducing their side. Xu Kai didn’t think anything of it and exchanged a few casual polite words with the two women opposite them.

Yu Xi, not moving voice or expression⁸, sized up Xu Kai.

The man wasn’t bad looking; he was actually quite well-matched for Sun Wenya. It was a pity Sun Wenya didn’t know how to cherish what she had. After sizing him up, Yu Xi, taking advantage of the momentum, said, “You must be Miss Sun’s boyfriend, right?”

Xu Kai paused for a moment, then hurriedly explained, “I’m her husband. We got married a little while ago.”

Yu Xi cast a glance with deep meaning at Sun Wenya, who was trying to act like an ostrich⁹ beside him, and feigned surprise. “Oh, so you’re already married. Congratulations! I wish you a hundred years of good harmony¹⁰!”

Xu Kai, joy uncontrollable, politely replied, “Thank you.”

Sun Wenya couldn’t hold it in any longer. She gouged Yu Xi with a vicious look, turned around, and left indignantly.

Her action was too sudden. Xu Kai couldn’t figure out how he had offended her this time, so he hastily said goodbye to them and chased after her.

Watching the two of them walk further and further away, Yuan Yue finally said leisurely, “Aren’t we being a bit too excessive?”

Yu Xi did not take it as significant and asked in return, “How was it excessive? Wasn’t everything I said the facts? If her heart has a ghost¹¹, then she deserves to be upset.”

Seeing Yu Xi’s face full of black belly¹², Yuan Yue didn’t dare rebut her further. She hurriedly changed the subject, saying, “Alright, let’s go find our room, too.”

The hotel wasn’t large, and following the room numbers, they quickly found their room. Yu Xi opened the door with the room card. As soon as they entered, she pinned Yuan Yue against the door panel, and a hot kiss came covering sky and earth¹³.

Yuan Yue rode on Yu Xi’s lower abdomen, tearing at her clothes wildly. Yu Xi tried to help take hers off, but Yuan Yue wouldn’t let her.

Yu Xi, pinned down by her, simply stopped resisting. She lay on the floor watching Yuan Yue’s clumsy movements and teased, “What are you trying to do? S.M. is not something I like.”

Yuan Yue had originally just wanted to tear her clothes and bite her hard to pay her back for that bite just now. But hearing Yu Xi say that, her spirit machine moved once¹⁵. “That sounds like fun. Why don’t we try it today?”

Yu Xi, naked from the waist up, spread her arms and stretched a lazy waist¹⁶ comfortably. She said satisfiedly, “Sure, today you can play however you want. I hand the initiative power over to you. But let’s agree on this: don’t cry about being tired later, don’t yell stop, and you’re not allowed to say you don’t know how. I’m not going to help you, anyway.”

Holding the underwear she had just taken off Yu Xi, Yuan Yue said indignantly, “I don’t need your help. I’m going to tie you up right now.”

Yu Xi voluntarily extended her hands to let her tie them. Just as she was waiting full of expectation for her to continue, Yuan Yue suddenly stood up.

“Where are you going?”

Yuan Yue ran around the room naked, saying without looking back, “I’m going to look for candles and a small leather whip or something.”

Yu Xi found it both annoying and funny, but she didn’t stop her. This was a legitimate hotel, not some messy seven eight bad¹⁷ nightclub; how could they possibly prepare those kinds of things in the room for her?

Yu Xi lay back down peacefully, waiting for Yuan Yue to return disappointed. She didn’t know how long she lay there, but just as the heat in her body was about to fade, Yuan Yue came fart-bumping¹⁸ back.

Yuan Yue skillfully rode on Yu Xi’s waist again and said with a proud look, “Found them. Let’s start!”

When Yu Xi saw clearly what she was holding, her face changed color in fright, and she hurriedly called a halt. “Hey! You’re going to kill someone doing that!”

At this moment, Yuan Yue was holding her so-called props——a mosquito coil, a lighter, and a white cloth belt. The belt looked like it had been pulled from a bathrobe. Yu Xi, however, couldn’t figure out why a hotel that looked decent would provide guests with that kind of strong-smelling mosquito coil.

Seeing Yuan Yue’s serious expression, Yu Xi swallowed saliva involuntarily. She deliberately boarded her face¹⁹ and commanded, “Put that down immediately.”

Yuan Yue didn’t want to compromise. “Don’t worry, I’ll be very careful. I won’t hurt you.”

Yuan Yue had always been clumsy. If she really let her mess around and she lost control and burned her, what then? This was not a joke. Yu Xi kept her face cold, completely unwilling to cooperate, and threatened, “If you keep this up, I’m not doing it.”

Yuan Yue wasn’t happy either. Feeling it was of no interest, she got off Yu Xi and muttered, “Fine, we won’t do it then. Suffocate you to death.”

“You haven’t untied my hands yet. Where are you running off to now?”

Yuan Yue looked back. Seeing Yu Xi looking at her helplessly with her hands tied, she suddenly found it very amusing. She was quite satisfied with her masterpiece. Flinging the cloth belt in her hand, she said, “I’m sleepy. I’m taking a nap.”

Yu Xi stared. “If you sleep, what about me?”

Yuan Yue yawned right on cue and mumbled indistinctly, “Make a cold salad²⁰ out of it, I guess. It’s cooler lying on the floor. You go to sleep, too!”

Yu Xi didn’t get angry. She simply said unhurriedly, “You’re doing this to strike and retaliate, aren’t you? Just because I provoked your ex-girlfriend with my words earlier.”

Yuan Yue hadn’t expected her to say that. She hurriedly turned around, squatted down, and looked at her air-drummingly²¹. “Talking nonsense eight ways²²! I’ve already told you, there’s been nothing between Sun Wenya and me for a long time. Why won’t you believe me?”

Yu Xi looked at her with deep eye pupils. After staring at each other for a long time, she said, “If you untie me now, I’ll believe you.”

Yuan Yue had just been teasing her, too; how could she really let her sleep naked on the floor? She untied Yu Xi’s hands and said grumpily, “I don’t care if you eat vinegar, but don’t bring up Sun Wenya anymore in the future.”

Her hands finally liberated, Yu Xi silently began to put on her clothes.

Yuan Yue suddenly held her hand down. “We’re not doing it?”

Yu Xi blocked her hand away and said expressionlessly, “No.”

“Are you mad?”

“I’m not mad. I’m hungry. Let’s eat first.”

Yuan Yue belly-slandered²³: Not mad? If you’re not mad, why is your face so dark?

Yu Xi called the hotel to send up some food, and the two of them ate in the room.

To curry favor with Yu Xi, Yuan Yue peeled a crab leg and handed it to her. Yu Xi glanced at it, then took it in her mouth and ate it.

Yuan Yue asked cautiously, “When are we going back?”

“You want to go back?”

Yuan Yue shook her head and grinned. “No. We finally got to come out for a trip; why go back so early?”

Yu Xi ate with slow strip and order²⁴ and said without looking up, “Then eat properly. After we eat, we’ll take a nap, and tonight we’ll go soak in the hot springs.”

Yuan Yue’s eyes lit up. “We can soak in hot springs around here? Where?”

“Right downstairs. I’ll take you tonight.”

“Great!” Yuan Yue said happily.

Around seven in the evening, Yu Xi took Yuan Yue out of the room and down to the hotel’s first floor. Unexpectedly, there were quite a few people there even at night. Yuan Yue, after-knowing and after-feeling²⁵, discovered that they had come to the Jia Quan Hotel²⁶. Following Yu Xi out the door, she habitually didn’t bring her brain and hadn’t noticed these things before.

Yu Xi went to the counter, took out a VIP card, and said, “Hello, I’ve already booked a hot spring session.”

The counter staff swiped her card, smiled, and handed it back. “Please wait a moment, you two.”

Shortly after, a specialized person came over and led them to a VIP hot spring private room. As soon as they entered, there was a smell of sulfur. In the room enveloped in mist, the person who had guided the road for them said, “You are using our Platinum Membership Card. Although there is no time limit, the hot springs’ opening time is until 11:00 PM. Please know this.”

Yu Xi said politely, “We know. Thank you.”

After the person retreated, Yu Xi reverse locked the door. As she turned around, she heard Yuan Yue ask her, “Did you come here often before? How come you even have a card?”

“I’ve never been here before either,” Yu Xi said with a casual not alarming heart²⁷.

Yuan Yue felt even more curious. “If you’ve never been here, how do you have a membership card?”

And a Platinum Membership Card at that.

Yu Xi thought for a moment and said, “This card was given to me by Jie Ran. I haven’t used it before.”

So it was Jie Ran.

Thinking back to when Yu Xi said in the gym that she used to like Jie Ran, and now seeing Yu Xi holding the VIP card Jie Ran gave her, Yuan Yue suddenly felt not right in her heart. She said sourly, “Jie Ran sure treats you well.”

Yu Xi saw through her thoughts at a glance. She couldn’t resist rubbing her head, returning the words Yuan Yue had said to her earlier. “Don’t think randomly²⁸. I don’t care whose vinegar you eat, but eating Jie Ran’s vinegar is completely unnecessary. It’s impossible between her and me.”

Yuan Yue complained in a low voice, “Could it be that only you are allowed to eat vinegar randomly? You even falsely accused me this afternoon.”

“Still remembering vengeance?” Yu Xi could neither cry nor laugh. She pulled her over and planted a hard kiss on her pouting lips. “Alright, stop making a fuss. You’d better save some physical strength.”

At first, Yuan Yue couldn’t figure out why soaking in a hot spring required physical strength. But once they got into the water and she was pressed down against the pool edge by Yu Xi, she finally understood.
