Panda Cub – Chapter 5

Play the hooligan

In the bustling bar, their small corner managed to be surprisingly quiet amidst the chaos. After a little while, He Ying gently laughed, casting a glance at the people twisting and dancing on the dance floor, and jestingly said, “My dancing isn’t quite like that. Though if you’d like to watch, I don’t mind, but I’ll need your help to set the stage.”

The light dancing in her eyes clung to Jing Dan’s figure like a patient hunter leisurely awaiting Jing Dan’s answer.

The green shirt with its decorative edges, a garment that is rather selective about one’s complexion, looked exceptionally fitting on her. Complemented by tailored trousers and pristine white sneakers, her entire demeanor was both relaxed and filled with grace.

Jing Dan was earnestly sizing her up. When she smiled, there was an ease that surrounded her, the kind that made you feel close, as if she was someone whose temperament was as good as it gets.

Nonetheless, Jing Dan keenly felt that this person must be holding onto some bad intentions.

From the moment she said she needed to set up her own dance.

Normally, you’d need someone’s help – is there a need to smile so slyly?

Indeed, even if she was a newcomer little panda, she knew exactly how to use the phrase “no good intentions” at this point, applying it to He Ying.

“What? Does Miss Jing agree?” He Ying winked at her, still with a charming smile.

Jing Dan’s face was stiff, and subconsciously, she wanted to run away quickly. But looking at this person’s smiling face, she felt if she did run, she’d certainly die of embarrassment from this person’s laughter!

“…Okay.”

In any case, it’s just a dance partner. If she just stands there like a pole, wouldn’t she be the embarrassed one?

At this moment, the little panda even pictured He Ying blushing with embarrassment due to her own lack of cooperation.

Hearing Jing Dan agree, the smile on He Ying’s face became even brighter. She got up, bowed to Jing Dan, and made an inviting gesture with her hand.

Jing Dan continued to keep a stiff face, carefully placing her hand in He Ying’s.

Their soft and slender hands gently touched, then slowly clasped together, the warmth in their palms transferring to one another. In this hot and bustling venue, the warmth should have been minuscule, yet at this moment, it distinctly traveled into the nerves of their brains.

Jing Dan’s heart lifted, feeling a bit nervous about what He Ying might do next.

He Ying’s smile slowly spread, no longer the teasing, seductive smirk of a fox spirit, but rather warm and gentle like a spring breeze, containing a comforting smile. She softly said to Jing Dan, “Don’t be nervous, I won’t bite you.”

It was strange to feel this way about someone she had just met, so unlike herself. Her initial intent was just to see Jing Dan embarrassed, to watch her cool facade crack. But when Jing Dan indeed started getting nervous, she found herself wanting to comfort her.

How odd and curious.

“I’m not nervous!” Jing Dan stiffened her face, thinking to herself that it should be He Ying who’s nervous, and who would feel embarrassed later.

He Ying chuckled lightly, her gaze towards Jing Dan was warm and soft.

But this made Jing Dan feel uneasy, and she murmured to herself, questioning whether this woman was crazy or what, changing her demeanor so quickly.

He Ying pulled her to the middle of the booth area, and for some reason, she somewhat resisted the idea of dragging Jing Dan into the crowd of wild dancers. Perhaps it was because Jing Dan appeared too pure and clear, and even a slight touch of the rowdiness seemed extremely jarring to her.

At that moment, Jing Dan was very obedient. Wherever He Ying pulled her, she stood still, like a well-behaved piece of wood, positioning herself firmly.

“No one dances like you’re supposed to,” He Ying said with a laugh, “later on, just follow my moves.”

Among their group, besides the two of them, the only sober one, Hu Tu, was nowhere to be found. So, even as they stood blatantly in the middle of the booth with a distance that seemed somewhat intimate, no one approached to tease them.

“Uh-huh,” Jing Dan responded, but inwardly she started to look forward to He Ying’s soon-to-be embarassed expression.

He Ying closed her eyes, listening to the music playing in the bar, feeling the rhythm, then extended her arms and began to dance in front of Jing Dan, guiding Jing Dan’s hand, leading her into the dance.

Unfortunately.

At this moment, Jing Dan was truly like a block of wood, not even having the obedient spirit she had when she followed He Ying here, extremely uncooperative, just standing there like a wooden stake.

He Ying caught a glimpse of Jing Dan’s lips out of the corner of her eye. She looked like a kid who had stolen candy and was gleefully savoring it, wanting to laugh and yet holding back. But her control wasn’t strong enough, and she was caught red-handed.

With a thought, she figured out Jing Dan’s little scheme and couldn’t help but feel both amused and annoyed. It seemed that Jing Dan was now playing mind games with her.

Seizing the moment, she smiled at Jing Dan.

Seeing her smile, Jing Dan quickly tightened up her face, trying not to let He Ying catch any hint of her true feelings.

Feeling somewhat scared inside, why does He Ying’s just now smile seem so unnerving? There’s always a feeling that something is about to happen.

Just then, the music in the bar changed, becoming even more gentle and sensuous than before. The crowd looked at the performance on the stage, shouting one after another.

He Ying’s smile deepened. Following the music, she treated Jing Dan, this wooden stake, as if she were the pole on stage, and began to dance around Jing Dan with sexy moves.

If the pas de deux she originally wanted to perform was somewhat serious, now, with her soft and enchanting dance moves and excellent expression management, every expression on her face matched her dance moves so flawlessly, it was all extremely sexy.

Jing Dan was frozen stiff.

The warm breath fanned across her face, the full chest brushed ever so slightly against her, and even the waist hidden under the shirt within her line of sight seemed to twist like a water snake.

Every move was captivating.

Jing Dan’s face turned red instantly, her gaze flitting about, not daring to look at her.

Her toes curled slightly, and she felt so embarassed that her hands and feet tingled with numbness.

However, while she didn’t dare to look, some others did.

Many people in the dance floor noticed what was happening, with each person whistling and applauding towards them, making them the center of attention.

However, He Ying was still dancing, spinning around Jing Dan as if she was a steel pole, with a very close distance, in an exceedingly flirtatious manner, climbing to the climax amidst the noisy cheering.

Jing Dan couldn’t take it anymore, quickly reaching out to hug the waist that was twisting in front of her, her face flushed red as she held her in place to stop her from dancing, completely unable to utter a word from the overwhelming stimulation.

Hu Tu in the dance floor stared dumbfounded at the two people embracing, rubbing her eyes in disbelief.

She wasn’t seeing things; it was real—they were really hugging each other, and earlier, He Ying had been pole dancing using Jing Dan as the pole.

Hu Tu: “…”

Weren’t you acting like you couldn’t even stand the sight of her before? Well done, Jing Xiaodan, you had a pretty good poker face.

But now, the two people embracing each other are in a really odd atmosphere. He Ying looks perfectly at ease, her expression changing effortlessly, while Jing Dan is so embarrassed that she almost turns into a panda again, hastily trying to push He Ying away.

Just as her hands start to loosen from He Ying’s waist, He Ying grabs hold of Jing Dan’s waist, rests her head on her shoulder, and laughs, “What’s this? You take advantage of me and now you want to run?”

The warm breath tickles her ear, sending a tingling, numbing sensation spreading from there, making her start to panic, especially when she keenly hears others discussing them.

“Wow, these two beauties are on point. Since when did this bar have such high quality?”

“Nice! Too bad it’s only eye-candy since they’re digesting it internally, but a feast for the eyes is still something.”

“Speaking of which, are these two a couple? If they’re not a couple, why are they holding each other so tightly and not letting go even now?”

As soon as Jing Dan heard someone say they were a couple, she reacted as if she had been scalded and pushed He Ying away with force. With her face red and ears hot, she glared at her. Also, because of the comments from the onlookers, she just couldn’t stay there any longer. She quickly went around He Ying and headed for the exit of the bar.

He Ying, who had been pushed away, didn’t chase after her. Instead, she stood there in a daze. If she wasn’t seeing things, was Jing Dan blushing with shyness just now?

Thinking about this possibility, she suddenly revealed a smile with the hint of a victor.

She managed to break through her outer layer of indifference.

But below that, as she meticulously recalled in her mind, her delicate and magnificent face was covered with bashfulness, like the beautiful scenery of a sunset in the evening.

At this moment, He Ying felt especially fortunate to be a spirit; otherwise, how could she see such a sight in the dim lights and vibrant nightlife?

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

And with that shy and flustered escape, He Ying’s smile grew even deeper.

Truly adorable.

Jing Dan ran out of the bar quickly, and even when she got to the dark alley nearby, she could still hear her own heart thumping wildly, impossible to calm down!

Just by slightly recalling that scene, her ears felt extremely hot and even her hands and feet started to go numb.

That person, not only was she frivolous, but she, she was also a hooligan!

Jing Dan was almost driven to tears by anger; she actually said that she took advantage of her, but who really took advantage of whom?!

The author has something to say:

Here is a little panda that is so angry it’s eyes are almost red.
