I Pursued My Scummy Ex’s White Moonlight – Chapter 13

To get revenge on her, you must take away everything she cares about.

The triple pain sensation left Su Wenwen completely paralyzed in bed, waiting for the villain to take care of her. The villain was also very patient, making porridge for breakfast and soup for lunch. Even though it was clearly her first time cooking, she managed to make it look quite decent.

Indeed, smart people can do anything well.

From time to time, the roars of zombies could be heard outside the window, but it didn’t affect Su Wenwen’s light sleep. As long as the zombies hadn’t evolved yet, her home was currently the safest environment. She had thought she could spend the entire day lying in bed peacefully.

But in the afternoon, there was a sudden knock on the room door. Su Wenwen didn’t get up, but she heard the voice of the landlord’s son from within the room.

“Wenwen, I just went out and got some food. Do you have enough at your place? I can give you some.”

The villain coldly replied for her, “No need.”

The landlord’s son kept knocking and calling Su Wenwen’s name. The villain ignored him. The knocking grew louder and louder, until rustling sounds came from the hallway, followed by a zombie’s roar, which finally scared the landlord’s son back into his apartment.

However, the zombie outside the door didn’t leave. It stood in the corner like an idiot, banging its head against the wall, making a “dong” sound from time to time. It was so noisy that Su Wenwen became more and more awake, and when a person is wide awake, menstrual cramps become even more painful.

She could only clutch her stomach and shakily get out of bed and walk out of the room. When the villain saw her, she very attentively came over and helped her to the sofa. Su Wenwen looked like a little good-for-nothing1, completely relying on the villain to survive.

“Drink some hot milk.”

Su Wenwen took the cup and slowly drank the milk. Then she said to the villain, “You need to be wary of that family across the hall. When I lived here before, they always tried to introduce me to their son.”

After all, he was the landlord, and the rent was cheap, so Su Wenwen couldn’t say much and could only try to avoid them. But since they lived opposite each other, it was inevitable to bump into them every few days.

Although it was a bit annoying, the landlord hadn’t done anything out of line, so she could just smile and deal with it. But now it was the apocalypse, and Su Wenwen had died once, so she was subconsciously wary of others.

Luo Xi nodded. “En, I know.”

The zombie outside was still banging its head against the wall, which was irritating to listen to. Su Wenwen scooted closer to the villain. Lin Sisi, who was beside them, finished her milk and went to the kitchen to wash her cup, not needing any adult supervision at all.

Luo Xi glanced sideways and saw that Su Wenwen’s face was still very pale. She asked softly, “Does it still hurt?”

Su Wenwen pursed her lips and nodded. She was almost too weak from the pain to speak, but she didn’t want to appear too fragile in front of the child, so she kept enduring it silently.

Luo Xi reached out, lifted Su Wenwen’s shirt slightly, and placed her hand on her lower abdomen, gently rubbing it. Su Wenwen’s stomach had no excess fat, but it was very soft, clinging firmly to Luo Xi’s palm.

Lin Sisi came out after washing her cup and saw the two of them snuggled together, looking very clingy. She couldn’t help but think of her older sister, and her expression turned a little dejected as she sat quietly to the side, not making a sound.

Su Wenwen noticed Lin Sisi’s mood and beckoned to her. “Sisi, come here, let big sister hug you.”

The little girl was very obedient and walked over to be hugged by Su Wenwen.

“Do you remember your sister’s phone number?” Su Wenwen said. “While there’s still internet, call your sister to let her know you’re safe.”

Lin Sisi’s eyes lit up, and she nodded quickly.

Su Wenwen handed her phone to Lin Sisi. The child had a good memory. Her small hands clutched the large phone and accurately dialed Lin Wan’s number.

However, the phone rang for a long time, but no one answered. It was the same after several tries. Lin Sisi’s little face scrunched up, looking like she was about to cry.

Su Wenwen thought for a moment. The female lead might have accidentally dropped her phone. So, she edited a text message and sent it. If the female lead risked coming back for her phone, at least she would know Lin Sisi was safe.

“Don’t worry, your sister will be fine.”

Lin Sisi nodded and sat obediently beside Su Wenwen. Su Wenwen turned on the TV, originally intending to see if there was any news, but after switching through many channels, there was no signal.

Judging by the current situation, it wouldn’t be long before the water and electricity were cut off.

The villain had also guessed this. She got up and went into the kitchen, filling all the bottles and basins in the house that could hold water.

All the power banks were plugged in to charge.

By nightfall, the entire city had plunged into a state of no electricity and no water. Su Wenwen’s lower abdomen still hurt a lot. She lay down on the bed very early, but tossed and turned for a long time, unable to fall asleep.

The villain took Lin Sisi to wash up in the dark. Soon after, Su Wenwen felt someone lie down beside her. She thought it was Lin Sisi, so she didn’t pay much mind.

A warm, soft body pressed against her back. Su Wenwen’s whole body stiffened. The breathing in her ear and the touch on her back were magnified threefold.

Even an unintentional small movement could make Su Wenwen tremble slightly, all her strength draining away.

“Why are your period cramps so severe?”

Although the villain’s voice was very, very soft, Su Wenwen still felt her ears tingle and her heart race.

“I’m not usually like this.” It’s all the system’s fault. The tasks it gives are simply making things difficult for me.

“Luo Xi-jiejie will rub it for Wenwen-jiejie, and then it won’t hurt anymore,” Lin Sisi said, kicking her little legs as she climbed onto the bed and sensibly lay down on the edge.

“No, no, I’m actually much better,” she said weakly.

During the day, when the villain rubbed Su Wenwen’s stomach, it didn’t feel particularly special. But now, lying in the same bed, in the dark…

This was sheer torture for Su Wenwen, who liked girls. But the villain didn’t know any of this; she simply wanted to make Su Wenwen feel less uncomfortable.

Gently rubbing her lower abdomen, the pressure was just right. Su Wenwen quickly relaxed, her entire body practically enveloped in the villain’s embrace.

Children at this age love to sleep. Lin Sisi fell fast asleep not long after getting into bed, her sleeping posture very proper, only occupying a small space on the side, leaving enough room for the two of them.

She didn’t know if it was because there were too many blankets, but she always felt that the villain’s palm was very hot. Su Wenwen felt slightly uncomfortable. Even when she was with Helian Yun, they had never been this intimate.

Thinking of Helian Yun, Su Wenwen’s thoughts couldn’t help but wander. It had only been a few days since she died and was reborn, but her affection for Helian Yun had gradually worn away during that year of survival.

So much so that after being reborn, Su Wenwen could easily abandon this relationship that never truly belonged to her. However, though she had abandoned it, she still felt a little unwilling in her heart. After all, the days she spent fawning over her2 were truly her youthful years.

Su Wenwen was now twenty-seven, an age that wasn’t too old, nor too young. To have so many years wasted on a scumbag like Helian Yun, how could she be reconciled?

It was already merciful of her not to want to tear a chunk out of her flesh.

“What are you thinking about?”

Luo Xi had just called Su Wenwen’s name but received no response. It was obvious the other person was a bit distracted. She cared a little, so she propped herself up on her elbow, squinting, trying to see Su Wenwen through the darkness. Even if she couldn’t see her face clearly, she could feel Su Wenwen’s breathing noticeably hitch.

“Nothing.”

“You’re actually quite bad at lying,” Luo Xi said. “Every time you’re distracted, it’s related to your ex-girlfriend. You were thinking about her just now, weren’t you?”

Su Wenwen pursed her lips, not wanting to discuss this topic, because if they continued, it would touch her boundaries.

“If you’ve really let go, you shouldn’t think about her anymore,” Luo Xi said this, then withdrew her hand and lay flat on her back.

Su Wenwen didn’t like hearing others talk about Helian Yun, so her best friend rarely mentioned this person in front of her. It wasn’t that she wanted to protect Helian Yun, but rather she wanted to protect her own ridiculous self-esteem.

She didn’t want to admit her poor judgment, didn’t want her efforts to go to waste. Over time, she began to deceive herself, finding reasonable excuses for Helian Yun’s behavior.

Now, these things were being pointed out so starkly by the villain.

“I indeed haven’t completely let go.” Su Wenwen endured the pain and turned to face the villain. “Because I don’t want to let her off the hook. There are some things you wouldn’t understand.”

“If you tell me, wouldn’t I understand then?”

If it were simply being cheated on by a scumbag, this relationship wouldn’t be so hard to let go of. But she had died once, ruthlessly abandoned by Helian Yun, just because of the villain’s appearance.

But this reason couldn’t be spoken aloud.

Su Wenwen looked up at the villain’s face, only able to see those bright, sparkling eyes in the darkness, focused and tender. This was a gaze she had never seen before, so unfamiliar it was frightening.

Su Wenwen retreated slightly, maintaining a little distance from the villain, and said, “It’s hard to explain. Anyway, I don’t like her anymore. I just want to make her regret it deeply.”

“Oh, I thought you wanted to get revenge on her.”

“Isn’t making her regret it deeply the same thing?”

“How is it the same? Making her regret it deeply is about making her like you again. Getting revenge on her is about taking away everything she cares about.” Luo Xi reached out, hooked a hand around the back of Su Wenwen’s neck, and pulled her closer. “For example… me.”

Su Wenwen’s breath hitched.

Feeling the villain’s long breaths so close, her heart suddenly accelerated. She didn’t understand what the villain meant. Could it be that she suspected her motive for getting close was to get revenge on Helian Yun?

Su Wenwen didn’t know. She didn’t dare to reply rashly. She felt that if she asked, something would change.

【Yi3, Host, the villain’s Blackening Value suddenly decreased by thirty points.】

Su Wenwen was puzzled. Didn’t it say that completing one task would reduce it by one point? According to the current task progress, it should have decreased by three points.

【It decreased ten times consecutively, for a total of thirty points.】

It can actually work like that?

Did that mean it wouldn’t take long for Su Wenwen to straighten out the villain? She just didn’t understand why the villain’s Blackening Value had decreased so much.

“You’re distracted again.” Luo Xi moved closer.

The two were extremely close, so close that their heated breaths intertwined. Su Wenwen’s cheeks burned. Already feeling unwell and weak because of her period, she now wished she could just roll her limp body into the villain’s embrace.

“Don’t misunderstand, I wasn’t thinking about Helian Yun,” Su Wenwen quickly explained. “At first, I did want to get revenge on her, but, well, it’s the apocalypse now. It’s good enough to just stay alive. It’s not worth it to disrupt my own plans for Helian Yun. Besides, you’re innocent. I can’t drag you into this just to get revenge on her.”
