Suddenly Angry

The happiest thing is being together with Shushu

When Lin Shu woke up, it was already ten o’clock in the morning.

The room was filled with sunlight, bright and warm.

She lay on the bed, a bit of confusion in her apricot eyes, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Her mind was blank for a few seconds, then yesterday’s memories flooded into her mind, and Lin Shu suddenly sat up from the bed.

Just as she finished, a knock sounded on the room door.

“Shushu, are you awake?” Shen Man stood by the door, her voice soft and gentle.

Lin Shu immediately thought of the sound of breathing that had fallen beside her ear while watching the fireworks last night, which was also this gentle and pleasant to hear.

Her heartbeat uncontrollably quickened.

“What is it?” Lin Shu opened the door, her fair and tender little face carrying a trace of shyly red annoyance.

Shen Man curved her eyebrows and eyes, revealing a doting smile, and said in a soft voice, “You must be hungry, right? I cooked the lean meat congee that you love to eat.”

“Got it.” Lin Shu said with a deep voice, sounding a bit impatient.

After she finished speaking, she walked outside.

Shen Man turned sideways to let her pass, the smile on her face not diminishing in the slightest.

Lin Shu came to the living room, pulled out a chair and sat down, propping her cheeks with both hands, and gazed at the sunlight falling into the living room, feeling that it was a bit unreal.

In the past at this time, she would basically starve for a whole day, staying in her room and not coming out.

When she was the only one, the house exuded a bone-piercing chill everywhere, so cold that she didn’t want to move, and she even felt a lonely despair from the boundless cold.

Never before had she felt warmth from the depths of her heart like she did now.

Shen Man had a smile on her face, watching quietly.

The bowl of congee was bottomed out.

Lin Shu put down the bowl, picked up a napkin from the side to wipe her mouth, shot Shen Man a glance, and asked with a cold face, “Why do you keep looking at me?”

“Because Shushu is pretty.” Shen Man answered with a smile, her eyes filled with gentleness.

“You still need to say that?” Lin Shu snorted proudly and got up to sit on the sofa to watch TV.

Shen Man cleared the bowl and chopsticks.

Lin Shu lay comfortably on the sofa, listening to the sound of a rerun of the Spring Festival Gala¹ program coming from the TV, her pair of apricot eyes unable to stop glancing in the direction of the kitchen.

When Shen Man came out after washing the dishes, she happened to catch Lin Shu’s abruptly withdrawn gaze.

She pretended not to have noticed, and with her expression as usual, she said with a smile, “Shushu, there are still more than ten days of vacation left, how do you plan to spend them?”

Lin Shu glanced her head to the side, staring at the TV as if she hadn’t heard, and didn’t speak.

Shen Man walked over, her tall figure forming an unignorable shadow that enveloped the space in front of Lin Shu.

Lin Shu’s vision darkened, and she raised her head and said, a little unhappy, “You’re blocking me.”

Shen Man hooked her lips and sat down in one smooth motion.

Shen Man booked the tickets and hotel online, sent the information to Lin Shu’s phone, and asked with a smile, “Shushu, do you have a swimsuit?”

Lin Shu picked up her phone, glanced at it casually, and made an ‘en’ sound.

After a pause, a proud smile appeared on her lips, and looking at Shen Man, she raised a delicate eyebrow, “I have several swimsuits, I imagine you probably don’t have one, right.”

Shen Man lightly hooked her lips and said with a relaxed expression, “I’ve already bought a swimsuit.”

Lin Shu was instantly like a deflated ball; she pouted and continued to watch TV.

The hot spring tickets Shen Man booked were for the sixth day of the first lunar month².

The two of them, early in the morning, pushed their respective suitcases and went out.

It took two hours to take a taxi to the booked hotel.

Shen Man was at the front desk handling the check-in procedures.

Lin Shu stood to the side, waiting.

The two had outstanding looks and tall figures, one was cool and gentle, the other was gorgeous and charming, attracting the gazes of those coming and going.

Lin Shu was long accustomed to these amazed and curious gazes.

She tucked the strands of hair by her ear, leisurely and contentedly enjoying the surrounding gazes of envy.

Shen Man held the room card, noticed the various gazes around them, and narrowed her eyes in displeasure, her gaze sweeping around coldly.

Many people tactfully turned their heads away.

Shen Man smiled with satisfaction, reached out to take Lin Shu’s arm, and said in a soft voice, “The check-in is done, let’s go, right.”

Lin Shu subconsciously looked at the place where the two of them were pressed together³, and just as she was about to speak, she was pulled forward by a force.

The two entered the elevator, where there were other tourists inside.

Lin Shu couldn’t act up, so she puffed up her cheeks and glared at Shen Man, only to be met with a face as cold as frost.

She was startled in her heart and instantly forgot to be angry; by the time she came to her senses, she had already been brought to the room door by Shen Man.

“Why are you making a cold face? Who offended you?” Lin Shu asked with a frown, forcefully pulling her hand out.

Shen Man didn’t stop her, used the room card to open the door, and walked in without a word.

Lin Shu’s brows furrowed even deeper as she dragged her suitcase and followed her in suspiciously.

She looked at the room’s layout, enjoyed the warmth of the sun, and lay down comfortably on the bed, saying, “This is my room, you can get out.”

As soon as the words fell, a figure appeared above her.

An enlarged, cool and elegant face suddenly appeared before Lin Shu’s eyes, those icy pupils seeming to brew a storm.

She felt a fear in her heart, but still stiffened her neck and asked loudly, “Shen Man, what are you doing? You haven’t been right since just now.”

Shen Man didn’t speak.

She reached out her hand, her fair and tender fingertips slowly sliding across that youthful and gorgeous face, finally stopping on those alluring red lips, rubbing them irregularly.

Lin Shu instantly felt as if her throat was being choked, the powerful aura from above oppressing her so much that she almost forgot to breathe.

Just when she was about to be unable to breathe, the person on top of her finally spoke.

“Shushu, I also don’t know why I suddenly got angry.” Shen Man stood by the bed, the coldness in her eyes fading, replaced by confusion.

Lin Shu covered her lips, coughed twice, and shot Shen Man a fierce glare.

Shen Man smiled, looked at Lin Shu, and said seriously, “It’s probably because I saw so many people staring at you, as if they were going to snatch you away, and it makes me feel very uncomfortable right here.”

As she spoke, she clutched the place over her heart, her stunningly beautiful face carrying a touch of indescribable sadness.

Lin Shu was shaken, her brain shocked into a complete blank.

“I only booked one room. This is a double bed, big enough for the two of us to sleep in.” Shen Man said, her expression becoming calm, as if the sadness from just now was an illusion.

“Who wants to sleep with you?” Lin Shu immediately stood up like a cat with its fur on end, staring at Shen Man, “Why didn’t you book two rooms?”

“It’s the peak tourist season right now, so it’s very difficult to book rooms.” Shen Man said in a level tone, and seeing that Lin Shu was about to question her again, she continued, “I sent the information to Shushu after I booked the room, and you didn’t have any objections at the time.”

The words on the tip of Lin Shu’s tongue were stuck by this statement, and she had no choice but to eat this mute person’s loss⁴, forcefully kicking the cabinet by the bed and saying angrily, “I’m hungry, go buy something to eat and bring it back.”

“Okay.” Shen Man agreed with a smile, leaving with a pleased expression.

Lin Shu lay on the bed, closed her eyes, and her mind was filled entirely with Shen Man’s cool and elegant face, which was mixed with heartache.

She had never seen Shen Man reveal such a vulnerable expression, and thinking about it now, her heart felt a little heavy.

She opened her phone, wanting to find someone to chat with, and discovered that Shen Man was unexpectedly at the top of her chat interface.

Lin Shu hurriedly swiped the screen, wanting to delete it.

The moment her finger pressed down, she hesitated, agonized for a moment, and released her finger.

Shen Man returned with lunch and pushed open the door.

Hearing the sound, Lin Shu said with dissatisfaction, “What took so long, are you deliberately trying to make me go hungry?”

Lin Shu snorted, which counted as accepting this explanation.

After the two had lunch, it was just past one o’clock.

Lin Shu got up, opened her suitcase, and took out two swimsuits from inside.

One was a red bikini style, and one was a white design with lace trim.

Shen Man glanced over, walked over and said with a smile, “Shushu’s swimsuits are pretty and sexy, able to perfectly display the advantages of your figure.”

Hearing this, a proud smile appeared on Lin Shu’s little face, and she asked haughtily, “Which one do you think is a little better?”

The two took their swimsuits and took a car to the hot spring location.

It was currently the peak of the tourist season, and there were many people soaking in the hot springs here, as well as tour groups.

Shen Man and Lin Shu lined up to go to the changing room to change clothes.

They had booked a private hot spring bath, located on the second floor, which happened to be by a window, allowing them to have a panoramic view of the first floor and also gaze into the distance to admire the sea view.

Lin Shu leaned against the edge of the hot spring pool, comfortably enjoying the feeling of the hot spring soaking her skin.

Shen Man sat opposite her, her cool and clear eyes reflecting the young woman’s fine curves, her snow-white, soft and tender skin flushed with a pretty red, carrying an alluring luster under the golden sunlight.

“Coming out to soak in a hot spring in winter is really so comfortable.” Lin Shu half-closed her eyes, her fair and tender fingers lightly stirring the water’s surface.

Watching the water droplets slide from her palm, she smiled with satisfaction.

Seeing this scene, Shen Man’s eyes flickered slightly, and she got up and walked behind Lin Shu.

Lin Shu felt a wave of heat coming from behind her and subconsciously turned her head, saying in a warning tone, “Don’t be so close to me!”

Shen Man let out a laugh and moved one step to the side.

A safe distance appeared between the two.

Lin Shu quietly breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at Shen Man, and used her finger to draw an imaginary line in the pool, “This half is mine, the other half is yours, no crossing the border.”

Shen Man didn’t speak, just let out a light laugh.

Lin Shu instantly felt as if she were a childish kid throwing an unreasonable tantrum.

She was a bit stuffy with anger and shot Shen Man a glare.

Shen Man was unmoved, and gazing at the distant sea view, she said slowly and leisurely, “In the new year, being able to come out and soak in a hot spring with Shushu is the happiest thing for me.”

Hearing these words, Lin Shu’s heart instantly skipped a beat.
