Shen Man arranged Thursday’s work and got off duty early.

She walked out of the office, calling Lin Shu while walking.

Lin Shu picked up instantly, her tone carrying a few points of impatience, “What is it?”

“Shushu, Xiao Ke and I made an appointment to eat dinner together tonight, do you want to come over?” Shen Man answered with a smile.

“Not going, I still have work to be busy with.” Lin Shu decisively refused.

After speaking, she immediately hung up the phone.

Shen Man put away her phone, saw a figure ahead, and immediately stopped her footsteps.

She opened her mouth to ask with a cold expression, “Assistant Tian, what business do you have?”

“President Shen, my aunt¹ wants to invite you to eat a dinner together tomorrow night.” Tian Meiying tilted her head slightly, revealing an obedient and cute smile.

“Thank the Chairman’s wife for the invitation, I am afraid I have no free time tomorrow.” Shen Man kept a cold face, giving a formulaic answer.

“Then what about the day after tomorrow?” Tian Meiying hurriedly pursued the question, her face full of expectation. “My aunt said she hasn’t chatted with President Shen for a long time.”

“If there is time, I will personally visit your door.” Shen Man said coldly, lifting her foot to walk out.

Tian Meiying bit her lip, the bottom of her eyes full of disappointment.

When Shen Man passed by her side, she attempted to strive for it once more, “President Shen…”

The words were not yet finished when she saw Shen Man’s indifferent look, so she had to swallow the remaining words.

Shen Man frowned, a trace of impatience in the bottom of her heart.

She quickly exited the door and entered the elevator.

The phone rang.

Seeing it was Lin Shu’s incoming call, Shen Man immediately picked it up, a smile revealing itself on her face, “Shushu, what is it?”

“Where are you guys going to eat?” Lin Shu asked coldly, tapping on a keyboard².

“A high-end restaurant has already been booked, do you want to come?” Shen Man said with a smile.

She glanced at her watch and continued, “Xiao Ke and I scheduled for 6:30.”

“En.” Lin Shu responded, her voice without any undulation. “Come over and pick me up.”

“Wait for me in the underground garage, do not enter the office building.” She coldly added a sentence.

“Okay.” Shen Man agreed with a light laugh.

The elevator doors opened, and Shen Man walked out.

Just as she sat in the car, she received a call from Xia Ke.

“Manman, I just got off the plane, I’m heading over now.” Xia Ke spoke loudly, her smiling voice full of enthusiasm and excitement.

“Okay, Shushu and I are also heading over now.” Shen Man said with a smile.

“That is just right, us three people can gather together.” Xia Ke said happily.

The two chatted for a few more sentences before ending the call.

Shen Man fastened her seatbelt and started the car.

Using half an hour, she arrived at the underground garage of Lin Shu’s company.

She sent a message to Lin Shu saying, “Shushu, I have already arrived.”

“Got it, don’t rush.” Lin Shu replied instantly; the few simple words seemed to carry impatience.

Shen Man smiled and waited quietly.

Not long after, Lin Shu’s figure appeared ahead.

Shen Man opened the car window and poked her head out, her line of sight meeting right up with Lin Shu’s.

“Could you not have parked the car a bit closer? Making me walk such a long road.” Lin Shu kept a stern face, speaking unhappily.

Shen Man did not talk back, saying with a smile, “Shushu, we are about to see Xia Ke soon. If you keep your face cold like this, it could make people misunderstand.”

“Misunderstand what?” Lin Shu raised an eyebrow, asking back arrogantly.

“It is rare for Xiao Ke to return to the country, she wanted to find us to gather…” Shen Man said.

Hearing this, Lin Shu immediately interrupted, “I do not want to gather with her.”

As she spoke, seeing Shen Man’s confused gaze, she continued, “I am only going to eat a meal. Who told you not to make dinner?”

Shen Man smiled and did not speak.
