I Am More Paranoid Than the Villain – Chapter 106

Deceived by Her

Shen Man is a woman of deep thoughts

Lin Shu stood up, gazing at that name, her expression hesitant.

It wasn’t until the ringing was about to end that she picked up the phone and coldly asked, “What is the matter?”

“Baby, say, do I have charm? Am I beautiful enough?” From the other end of the phone came Ni Shuang’s voice, carrying a drunken slur.

The surroundings were noisy and clamorous; she was obviously in a bar.

Lin Shu kept her small face cold and did not speak.

Ni Shuang took a sip of wine and continued, “I have such amorous feelings of a myriad kinds, wanting body I have body, wanting looks I have looks. I even did the wet body seduction, yet she actually remained indifferent.”

“Saying something about the fish in the pot about to burn, she threw down a dress and let me go to the washroom to change, am I just that unattractive?”

Hearing this, Lin Shu’s eyes widened in shock.

She immediately threw down her phone and ran outside.

Shen Man placed the bowls and chopsticks on the table.

Seeing Lin Shu’s hurried appearance, she smiled and asked, “Shushu, what is wrong?”

“You deceived me!” Lin Shu roared furiously, her heart full of the annoyance of being played with.

Her eyes stared ruthlessly at Shen Man; there were many words in her heart she wanted to say, but only this one sentence came out.

“Shushu, what are you saying?” Shen Man asked in confusion, the expression on her face innocent and harmless.

The anger in Lin Shu’s heart was suddenly blocked up.

She bit her lip, swallowing the words that had reached her mouth, not wanting to let Shen Man feel that she cared.

Shen Man smiled faintly, a look of understanding in the depths of her eyes.

Looking at the clothes on Lin Shu’s body that hadn’t been changed, she asked softly, “Shushu, have you finished showering?”

Hearing this, Lin Shu tugged at the hem of her skirt uncomfortably.

Sitting down with a cold little face, she said impatiently, “What does it concern you?”

Shen Man knew the situation and did not ask any more questions.

The two ate dinner quietly.

Lin Shu put down her chopsticks and took a tissue to wipe her mouth.

Slanting a glance at Shen Man, she said with a face full of cold arrogance, “Tomorrow is Saturday. I am going out shopping with Ni Shuang. No need for you to follow.”

“Okay,” Shen Man answered with a smile. “I have matters to attend to tomorrow, a contract to discuss.”

“Who cares if you have matters or not.” Lin Shu gave a cold hmph and returned to her room haughtily.

Shen Man tidied up the dining table, finished washing up, and lay on the bed.

She picked up a book from the head of the bed and opened it to the page she read last time.

After reading a few lines of words, her thoughts gradually drifted far away.

Thinking of the image of Lin Shu slowly swaying her waist on her body, the tip of her heart felt hot, and she somewhat regretted not continuing to do it at that time.

Shen Man put down the book with some helplessness and closed her eyes to sleep.

Lin Shu slept until it was almost noon before getting up to wash.

She put on her makeup and called Ni Shuang. “Up yet?”

“Just woke up,” Ni Shuang said with sleepy eyes, her voice carrying a few points of hoarseness due to the hangover.

“Get up quickly, I will go over to pick you up,” Lin Shu said.

“Okay…” Ni Shuang answered with closed eyes, then after buffering for two seconds, she suddenly opened her eyes. “Baby, I am not at the hotel.”

“Then where are you?” Lin Shu asked, rising and walking outward. “You aren’t in some woman’s bed again, are you?”

“I don’t know…” Ni Shuang sat up and rubbed her temples. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a little girl standing at the doorway and could not help but ask, “Little sister, where is this?”

Lin Shu heard the voice and frowned her delicate brows slightly.

“This is my home. Yesterday my jiejie1 brought you back,” the little girl answered obediently, pointing to the bedside cabinet. “Your things are all there. Jiejie said if you have no matters, you can leave.”

“Who is your jiejie?” Ni Shuang asked with a smile, showing not a trace of the panic or surprise of appearing in a stranger’s home.

“My jiejie went out,” the little girl said, her jet-black, round, and bright eyes looking at Ni Shuang, her eyes carrying a trace of fear of strangers.

Ni Shuang revealed a kind smile and walked toward the little girl, but the voice coming from beside her ear stopped her footsteps.

“Hurry up and come out of someone else’s house,” Lin Shu said loudly, her tone carrying anger. “Send a location to me, I’m coming over to pick you up now.”

“Don’t be so fierce. This person2 didn’t do it on purpose. I was drunk yesterday and don’t remember anything,” Ni Shuang said with a smile, sitting back on the edge of the bed to send the location to Lin Shu.

Seeing this, the little girl turned and ran out.

Ni Shuang raised a delicate brow and followed her out with a smile. She saw the little girl go out the door, but she didn’t close the main gate.

She sat and waited for a while until the little girl appeared at the doorway holding a woman’s hand.

The woman entered the door. Seeing Ni Shuang, a flash of stunned amazement passed through her eyes, and she said softly, “Mengmeng3 said a big jiejie came to the house. I don’t know how I should address you.”

“My name is Ni Shuang, you can call me Shuangshuang.” Ni Shuang spoke familiarly.

“Okay, Miss Ni.” The woman nodded, a shallow smile revealing itself on her face. “Lan-jie4 told me that if you woke up and had no matters, you could leave.”

“Where is this?” Ni Shuang asked, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “I was drunk yesterday, I don’t even know how I came here.”

“I am also not clear on the specific matters,” the woman said, lowering her head to look at the little girl beside her. “Mengmeng, this child, is a bit timid. She gets scared when there are strangers at home.”

Hearing these words, Ni Shuang naturally understood the meaning within. She stood up and said, “I have disturbed you. Many thanks to your jiejie for bringing me back. Help me say thank you to your jiejie.”

The little girl nodded obediently.

Ni Shuang returned to the room, took her own things, and walked out leisurely.

She took a look at the door number and memorized it in her heart.

Arriving downstairs, she waited for ten minutes before Lin Shu’s car appeared before her eyes.

Ni Shuang twisted her fine waist and walked over, full of amorous feelings of a myriad kinds.

Lin Shu stopped the car and opened the window.

Seeing that the clothes on Ni Shuang’s body had been changed, she asked, “Who were you romantic with last night?”

“I don’t know.” Ni Shuang sat in the car and crossed her legs, revealing long, white legs, and pointed to her own collarbone. “Look, there isn’t a single mark on it.”

“In all probability, I had no love luck yesterday and ran into an old good person.” As she spoke, a disappointed expression appeared on her face.

Lin Shu gave her the whites of her eyes and started the car.

Ni Shuang lowered her head and sniffed the clothes on her body, saying with a smile, “The owner of these clothes must be a great beauty.”

Lin Shu did not chime in, looking ahead as she asked, “Where do you want to go shopping?”

“Whatever. My head hurts severely right now, I just want to find a place to drink tea,” Ni Shuang said, rubbing the center of her brows. “I really don’t remember a single bit of last night’s matters…”

Lin Shu couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to her and parked the car in front of a high-class tea house.

The two entered the door and arrived at a private room by the window on the second floor.

Lin Shu ordered a cup of tea and special dim sum.

Supporting her chin with one hand, she gazed at the scenery outside the window.

Ni Shuang followed and ordered an identical portion.

She leaned her body back, resting against the chair, and asked with a smile, “Where is Shen Man? Why don’t I see her?”

“What are you looking for her for?” Lin Shu asked ill-humoredly, looking at Ni Shuang, her eyes full of anger. “It’s all you…”

She couldn’t continue the words that followed, her face blushing with annoyance as she looked out the window.

Ni Shuang looked blank, blinked her eyes, and asked curiously, “What did I do?”

“Nothing!” Lin Shu said huffily, changing her posture.

The waiter delivered the tea and pastries.

Ni Shuang picked up a cup of tea, tasted a mouthful slowly, and smiled with satisfaction. “Truly good tea. Drinking it feels cool and refreshing in the mouth, making one’s spirit clear and refreshing. The feeling of the hangover is much better.”

Lin Shu picked up a piece of pastry, bit off half, and chewed slowly.

Seeing this pretense, Ni Shuang made a blowing-kiss motion toward Lin Shu and said coquettishly, “Don’t ignore people. What did I do wrong, just tell me.”

“Drink your tea!” Lin Shu glared, her residual anger not yet dissipated.

Ni Shuang drank tea with a grin, put down the cup, and suddenly her expression became serious.

Lin Shu glanced at her and opened her mouth indifferently, “What, going to talk about your love experience again?”

Ni Shuang shook her head, a charming smile appearing on her face, and lowered her voice to say, “Shen Man, this woman, is not simple. Even someone like me who has seen much and knows wide has stumbled on her body.”

Hearing this, Lin Shu raised her eyebrows and gave a disdainful sneer. “I already said it before, Shen Man is not those women you have seen before, but you insisted on not believing.”

Ni Shuang curled her lips in grievance. “This is the first time people have suffered a blow, I almost doubted my own charm. Can’t you just comfort people?”

“Cannot.” Lin Shu refused decisively, taking a sip of tea, a faint smile appearing on her face.

Ni Shuang deliberately gave a humph and said solemnly, “It’s definitely not that my charm is no good, it must be that Shen Man is no good. Maybe she is sexually frigid.”

Hearing this, Lin Shu immediately thought of that intense kiss last night.

Her small face turned red, and she hurriedly lowered her head to drink tea.

Ni Shuang noticed this action and looked at Lin Shu with a face full of sympathy.

Lin Shu looked up and glared back unhappily. “What is that expression?”

“Lin Shu, you are finished!” Ni Shuang said word by word, her expression extremely serious.

Lin Shu cast her a sideways glance. “You are the one who is finished! Always looking for women in bars for one-night stands, who knows which day you’ll kick an iron plate5.”

Ni Shuang gave a smile full of unconcern. “My charm has always been successful in every endeavor, except for you and Shen Man.”

As she spoke, the smile on her face gradually vanished. She paused, then said unwilling to admit defeat, “You two really don’t understand amorous feelings, especially that Shen Man. She doesn’t understand how to cherish fragrance and pity jade6 at all.”

“Lin Shu, you definitely cannot outfight Shen Man. Her thoughts are very deep, making people unable to figure out the real ideas in her heart at all.”

Hearing this, Lin Shu lightly hooked her lips.

She picked up the teacup, her white and tender fingertips rubbing against the patterns on it. “Not necessarily.”

Simple two words, carrying ample arrogance.

Ni Shuang raised her brows, the bottom of her eyes full of the smile of watching a good show. “I look forward to seeing a wretched expression on Shen Man’s elegant and confident face. It must be very pleasing to the eye.”

“It would be best to tear off her calm and self-restrained outer garment, make her lose control, make her cry. Just thinking about it makes me feel excited.”

“This is a matter between me and Shen Man, what are you excited about?” Lin Shu rolled her eyes and said.

“This person is just helping you,” Ni Shuang said delicately. The smile on her face was unceasing as she spoke mysteriously, “I plan to stay in the country for a period of time.”

Lin Shu frowned in confusion. “Didn’t you already book the flight to leave tomorrow? Why suddenly stay?”

“I haven’t said thank you to her yet, how can I leave.” Ni Shuang gave a charming smile and reached out to pull at her shoulder strap.

Lin Shu understood the meaning of this smile and did not persuade her further.
