Something happened

The young girl, holding her already packed belongings, walked outside with Su Xin.

They exchanged names with each other, and for the first time, Su Xin heard the young girl speak.

“Yu Si, my name.”

“Su Xin, it is called Nan Cheng, you can also call it Little One, but this is my exclusive nickname for it, you can call it whatever you like based on its name.”

Su Xin introduced herself, then pointed to the cat in her arms.

Yu Si nodded, indicating she understood.

When she was about to go up to the second floor, Su Xin asked her to wait a moment while she went to notify the teacher.

Yu Si nodded while holding her things, watching Su Xin and her cat leave.

When Su Xin returned, she found Yu Si still standing there, maintaining the same posture she had when she left, motionless.

Su Xin felt that Yu Si really resembled a robot, her head lowered as if in standby mode, as if she had lost her soul.

Su Xin went to her own dormitory and requested to change rooms. That girl initially disagreed, but seeing the teacher there, she couldn’t lose her temper on the spot, maintaining her image.

“They have already discussed it, you can move to the fifth room downstairs.”

The teacher just wanted to settle it quickly because it really wasn’t a troublesome matter; just a word and she would update the records.

That girl wanted to say something else, but after glancing at the cold Yu Si beside her, swept by her silver eyes, she nodded.

Li Xiuxiu swallowed the last bite of her pastry and greeted Yu Si.

Su Xin noticed this and raised her eyebrows. This seemingly rough and careless roommate wasn’t as simple and naive as she appeared on the surface.

That girl’s quilt was already laid out, and someone had sat on it.

“Fire element?”

Yu Si looked at Su Xin, and Su Xin nodded.

Yu Si pulled down the laid sheet and began to use her magic.

She belonged to the water element, exactly like that girl from earlier.

Su Xin thought of that girl’s fearful reaction when she saw Yu Si.

“Do you know that person from before?”

“Same clan.”

Yu Si was sparing with words, speaking very briefly.

Su Xin made a sound of acknowledgment, watching Yu Si’s actions.

The water element magic lifted the sheet into the air and wetted it.

Li Xiuxiu twitched the corners of her mouth, seeing for the first time someone using magic to wash clothes like this. However, being able to do it to this extent only indicates a very good level of control over magic.

Yu Si, seeing that the washing was almost done, looked up at Su Xin.

Su Xin raised her hand to summon the fire element and carefully dried the sheet.

The quality of the sheet was very good, so it didn’t wrinkle like this.

Yu Si prepared to make the bed herself, but it still looked messy.

She didn’t ask for help and continued to do it herself.

School life settled down like this, and Su Xin had two roommates with very different styles.

However, their daily routines were similar; every day consisted of either training or attending classes.

Every morning, Li Xiuxiu was the first to wake up, even earlier than Yu Si and Su Xin. Although she was quite large, her actions of getting up and washing were very light. When she woke up, the other two people in the dormitory, including a cat, would wake up but then go back to sleep.

After a while, everyone would get up.

Li Xiuxiu would wake up so early because, according to her, she was very hungry, too hungry to sleep, so she got up to replenish her energy. She also went to bed the earliest every night. Yu Si always rested with her eyes closed, so it was unclear if she was resting or cultivating.

Su Xin finished washing up and leisurely ate breakfast from the dining hall not far from the dormitory.

Su Xin fed the cat while eating. The three of them ate in the dormitory, although most people would choose to eat in the dining hall. However, the three roommates attracted a lot of attention, and whenever they went to eat, they were watched, which felt uncomfortable.

Yu Si was good-looking but not popular; most of the gazes on her were curious and admiring because she was the most arrogant and conceited among the new students. The Magic Academy forbids private fights but allows students to challenge and duel openly, which is what the arena is for.

Su Xin discovered that when Yu Si was chanting, she would also make sounds, just very softly.

Su Xin just thought Little One was being protective, even though she knew Little One had its own intelligence.

“Meow.”

Little One indicated it understood, but it just didn’t like those guys approaching Su Xin, giving off a vibe of ill intentions.

Su Xin didn’t know what Little One was thinking; if they could converse, she would certainly laugh.

Well, if the senior brothers needed to be guarded against, what about the senior sisters or female classmates who approached with goodwill?

Yu Man looked miserable, even somewhat hysterical, with scars crisscrossing her face and burn marks. Everyone present was influenced by her emotions, angrily glaring at Su Xin and her cat.
