Fate Trading System – Chapter 87

Plan A

Wedding Dress and Ring

Do you still remember?

【Congratulations to the host for completing the mission. Connecting with the client.】

Su Xin returned to the vast white system space, sighing inwardly.

Ah, she just came back like this? She still had so many words unsaid, but actually didn’t know what to say.

Well… there’s nothing much to say either.

The pear blossom demon stood there, looking at her with a strange and bewildered gaze.

She knew that this person was more capable than her, and didn’t show any infatuation towards the young master, and also well protected the young master’s chastity.

It’s just that she still didn’t quite understand how she got involved with that ghost…

However, the mission was considered completed, and as an observer, she also knew that the ghost really liked this person wearing her skin.

Fourteen had told Su Xin before that regarding privacy, Fourteen would pixelate it, and the client wouldn’t be able to see.

“Thank you, I was so afraid that I wouldn’t be able to protect the young master well and instead would drag him down because of my own feelings. Now it’s all good, I suppose the young master will be able to live smoothly from now on.”

The pear blossom demon breathed a sigh of relief. She didn’t think there was anything wrong with her soul scattering; her life was saved by the young master in the first place, so it was only right to return it now.

The pear blossom demon walked towards the other side of the system space, in the opposite direction from where Su Xin was.

Fourteen sent Su Xin back to the real world, calculating the rewards.

【This mission has a balance of twelve months, real-world lifespan totaling fifty-one months. Memory blurring complete. Host, enjoy your life well. See you next month.】

Fourteen finished speaking in a flat, emotionless tone, intending to leave, but was called back by Su Xin.

Master Fourteen, what’s wrong? You seem a bit off.

After going through so much, Su Xin had finally made some progress in observing people’s words and expressions.

【Host… she died.】

Fourteen’s voice was heavy. Su Xin could imagine the expression if it had a physical form.

She…? Su Xin immediately realized who it was.

Why? Wasn’t there still two years left?

Sun Yixiao had already resigned from this job, with only two years of lifespan balance left after dozens of worlds. This shouldn’t be, how could she have died?

【She committed suicide.】

Fourteen didn’t understand at all. After terminating the relationship with Sun Yixiao, they couldn’t communicate anymore.

But it still had the right to observe, so right after Su Xin’s mission was completed, it went to take a look at Sun Yixiao, and happened to see a scene that saddened its entire system.

Sun Yixiao, like a bird with broken wings, jumped into the sea, stirring up waves.

Fourteen hurriedly inquired if she wanted to rebind, those with work experience could be given priority consideration, live for two more years!

Sun Yixiao refused, she closed her eyes forever.

Sui… suicide?

Su Xin propped herself up to sit on the bed. Why? It was a life she had worked hard to obtain. Logically, someone who had died once wouldn’t want to die a second time. Living is so beautiful, but why…

【She was too tired.】

Fourteen sighed. Sun Yixiao said with a smile, let her go, she wants to join Death now, living is too painful.

【If only she were like you. But if she were like you, she wouldn’t be in this situation now.】

Then Sun Yixiao wouldn’t be Sun Yixiao anymore.

Don’t worry, Master Fourteen, I will live well. If it was her own choice, there’s no need for others to be sad for her.

【Mm.】

Fourteen’s voice disappeared from Su Xin’s mind. Su Xin yawned and fell asleep.

The next day, Su Xin rubbed her eyes as she got up, and saw Qiu Qingqing standing right in front of her door, looking as if she was about to knock.

“What’s the matter?”

“We’re not eating at home today. Shall we go out and have some fun?”

Qiu Qingqing affectionately tapped Su Xin’s nose, smiling as she spoke.

“What’s special about today? Why are we suddenly going out?”

“It’s the Qixi Festival, July 7th.”

“What does that have to do with us…”

The day when the Cowherd and Weaver Girl meet, what does it have to do with the two of them?

“Please humor me and spend this day with me.”

Qiu Qingqing extended her hand. Su Xin was amused by her expression and reluctantly placed her hand on Qiu Qingqing’s.

“Alright, alright, Miss Qiu. I’ll reluctantly spend this Valentine’s Day with you.”

The Valentine’s Day started with lunch.

Qiu Qingqing took Su Xin to an all-you-can-eat steak buffet. After finishing, they even took a stroll around the food court.

Su Xin patted her stomach, looking completely satisfied.

As girls, they were supposed to be interested in shopping, no matter what.

Su Xin and Qiu Qingqing weren’t particularly interested, but that didn’t mean they had no interest at all.

After browsing a few clothing stores, Su Xin called for a stop.

“I don’t need more clothes. Stop gesturing at everything in front of me.”

Su Xin’s eye twitched. Whenever Qiu Qingqing saw a nice piece of clothing, she couldn’t help but want Su Xin to try it on, not even sparing bikinis. It was simply outrageous.

While shopping, the two held hands, as close female friends often do.

Su Xin didn’t know why the usually calm Qiu Qingqing was smiling so foolishly, especially when showing her clothes in front of the mirror. That look in her eyes made Su Xin feel a bit embarrassed.

As if she really was her deeply beloved person.

The two browsed an entire street, but only bought two pieces of clothing in the end. If Su Xin hadn’t stopped her, Qiu Qingqing would have bought every piece of clothing Su Xin showed interest in. It could be said that her “boyfriend energy” was overflowing.

After buying clothes, the two didn’t follow the typical couple’s date package. They didn’t go to the movies because Qiu Qingqing dragged Su Xin to a photo studio, saying they should take pictures.

They went to one of the city’s more upscale photo studios, where the resulting photos could make one feel like crying from their beauty. Of course, the price could also make one want to cry.

“Ah… why are we suddenly taking wedding photos?”

Su Xin rubbed her chin, looking at the various beautiful white Western-style wedding dresses in the display window.

“Miss Qiu, you seem to be longing for love.”

“Yes, I’m longing for it. I’ve been waiting so long I could die.”

Qiu Qingqing rested her head on Su Xin’s shoulder.

“Let’s take the photos, okay?”

“Of course. I promised that no matter what you do today, I’ll accompany you to the end.”

They were very photogenic, and their poses were natural. The photographer barely had to waste any film.

They took several different sets of wedding photos. Both wore wedding dresses, then Qiu Qingqing in a suit with Su Xin in a wedding dress, then Su Xin in a suit with Qiu Qingqing in a wedding dress. The final set had both of them wearing suits, looking very cool.

“If only we had a diamond ring, it would match so well.”

Su Xin, wearing a wedding dress and holding the hem, said with a smile to Qiu Qingqing.

“Alright then, I have a diamond ring. Will you marry me, Miss Su?”

Qiu Qingqing produced a box from somewhere, kneeling on one knee with her long dress trailing behind her.

The scene was a bit strange, one bride proposing to another bride.

“Pfft… Qingqing, what are you doing? This isn’t a prop from here, is it?”

Su Xin couldn’t stop laughing, quickly pulling Qiu Qingqing up.

Kneeling while wearing high heels, such a difficult pose, it must be terribly uncomfortable.

“Will you accept me?”

Qiu Qingqing said with a smile.

“Of course, here.”

Su Xin extended her hand, and Qiu Qingqing put the ring on her finger.

“Oh, are the props here always this realistic? It really looks like a diamond ring.”

“It’s not a prop, I bought it before.”

“Why did you buy a diamond ring for no reason? But it’s quite pretty. I’m keeping it, I won’t give it back.”

Su Xin kissed the diamond ring lightly, smiling as she spoke.

“Mm, it was meant for you anyway.”

Su Xin smiled and hugged Qiu Qingqing, who embraced her back, with an enigmatic look in her eyes.

After finishing the wedding photos, they turned their attention to other styles.

Su Xin wore a black tulle dress, sitting on a throne like a proud queen. The style leaned towards cool tones. Qiu Qingqing wore a black suit and stood at her side, like a loyal servant, forever guarding her queen.

Su Xin abandoned her scepter and beckoned to Qiu Qingqing with a curl of her finger.

The butler, head lowered, adjusted the bow tie for her princess, her cool demeanor melting.

After the photo shoot, Qiu Qingqing and Su Xin requested all the photos back, not allowing the studio to keep any negatives.

The studio staff expressed a desire to keep just one photo, offering to pay for it, to display as an exemplary work at the entrance.

After all, the sight of the two of them in wedding dresses truly gave people a feeling of wanting to fall in love.

Even if the main characters were two girls.

Su Xin and Qiu Qingqing clearly refused, taking the photos with them to enjoy elsewhere.

After all, they both had identities that couldn’t be brought to light, so it wasn’t appropriate.

The two women, long past their adolescence, went to a school.

Neither of them had attended regular school, and had longed for it a long time ago, but later they had extinguished that longing themselves.

They discovered they were only suited to living either dependent on each other or alone; living with others would be very difficult.

Qiu Qingqing and Su Xin were once excellent partners and teammates, able to trust each other with their backs, developing an indescribable rapport through repeated battles, their lives intertwined.

On the Qixi Festival, the traditional Chinese Valentine’s Day, they decided to fulfill a wish.

Su Xin tied her loose hair into a ponytail. She wore a short-sleeved shirt and denim shorts today, already looking quite young.

Qiu Qingqing still had her long hair down, wearing a white shirt, looking gentle and graceful.

The two walked through the high school’s main gate but were stopped by the security guard, who asked who they were.

Su Xin blinked her eyes and said she was a graduate, coming back to visit her alma mater and to reconnect with her former teachers.

The security guard uncle, seeing that the two young ladies looked clean and proper, and didn’t seem like bad people, especially since one of the girls convincingly named her homeroom teacher so-and-so, let them in.

“How did you know about that teacher?”

Qiu Qingqing asked Su Xin, tilting her head after they entered.

“There was an introduction on that big poster at the main gate. I just used what I learned on the spot.”

Su Xin smiled, pulling Qiu Qingqing along as they started wandering around the campus.

After touring the whole place, both were satisfied.

“Hey, do you remember what we once wanted to do the most?”

Su Xin looked at Qiu Qingqing with a grin.

“Of course.”

The two high-fived, then climbed over the school’s high wall.

As they landed on the ground, the two said in perfect unison:

“To hell with school!”

“Pfft…”

The two looked at each other and laughed, pointing at each other mockingly.

“You’re so silly.”

“So are you!”
