Goodbye

Su Xin couldn’t stop crying, her face full of tears looking pitiful.

Shen Xiangting stood to the side, holding her lover with a heart full of pain.

But she didn’t know the truth behind Su Xin crying like a dog was bewildering.

Master Fourteen, what is going on?

If emotions can be controlled when too intense, what if something happens in the future?

Su Xin didn’t like this lack of autonomy.

【Sorry, this is something that hasn’t happened before, the fluctuation of soul emotions can unexpectedly affect the body, and the designer is currently writing a program.】

Fourteen explained briefly, and then fell silent.

While Su Xin cried herself hoarse, she thought to herself about stopping her tears first.

Shen Xiangting held Su Xin tightly in her embrace, and no one paid attention to their strange scene.

Su Xin cried until she hiccupped, and Shen Xiangting felt heartache but wanted to laugh.

“Don’t cry.”

Shen Xiangting pulled Su Xin into the room and kissed her face.

Su Xin, hiccuping, said she couldn’t control it either.

Shen Xiangting lowered her head and held Su Xin’s face, which still had tear marks, and bit her lips.

With a delicate kiss, from the tip of the tongue to the lips and teeth, Su Xin strangely stopped hiccuping, looking at Shen Xiangting with tearful, hazy eyes, with only one thought in her mind: how could the original owner, Wei Zhi, cry so much? Her eyes hurt from crying.

Suddenly, Su Xin’s desire to shed tears was gone, she wiped her eyes and stopped.

【Host, this bug has been fixed, the creator has written new program code, and this won’t happen again, please rest assured.】

Fourteen appeared, speaking to her in Su Xin’s mind.

“So obedient, just a kiss and you stop crying?”

Shen Xiangting rubbed her little crybaby’s face and said with a light laugh.

“If I had known this was useful earlier, I would have kissed you sooner.”

Su Xin gave her a sideways glance, thinking not to casually take credit from Fourteen, okay?

“I miss you very much.”

Shen Xiangting sighed deeply and held Su Xin in her embrace.

The final result, of course, was unsuccessful, as the person’s mother had just died. No matter how comforting, it wasn’t the time to take someone to bed.

Wei Ting’s wife, with red eyes, comforted the silent Wei Ting and placed his hand on her belly.

Wei Ting touched her belly and nodded.

The Second Concubine’s funeral was not grandly handled, remaining low-key and quiet.

On the day she died, the First Wife recited sutras in the room, and the sandalwood beads in her hand fell to the ground, making a sound.

During the prior invasion chaos, many servants had already escaped. Now that the Second Concubine is gone, some of the house’s servants have been dismissed, and the mansion has increasingly appeared cold and quiet.

When that man reappeared here to discuss matters with Shen Xiangting, Wei Ting was also present.

Afterward, he smoked and told Su Xin that it had truly passed.

They once loved each other deeply, yet stood as nodding acquaintances, strangers.

The man also has his own family, and Wei Ting spends time every day with his wife, living a life considered not bad.

“After having a child, I discovered many things changed. I don’t touch her much, but she knows everything.”

Wei Ting squinted his eyes; he wasn’t born gay, just happened to like that man.

The nurturing of new life has let many of his thoughts fade away.

“There’s no need to think of anything else; now I just want to figure out how to live well and how to let the child grow up safely.”

Wei Ting looked at Su Xin and exhaled a smoke ring.

“You and her are in that kind of relationship, right?”

Wei Ting shifted the direction of the conversation.

“Mm.”

Su Xin didn’t pretend to be ignorant and simply nodded.

“Then…”

“It’s not because of you.”

“I can’t really say anything. I can see she’s an important person, Zhizhi, you…”

Wei Ting didn’t want to think pessimistically, but this situation is so similar to what he had with that man.

“Rest assured, she will handle it well. There won’t be any problems on my side; next, we’ll just have to see what she does.”

Su Xin felt the breeze and put her hands in her pockets.

“I will face it together with her, brother. I am different from you. I don’t need to continue the family line, nor do I need to bear the responsibilities for this family like you do.”

Su Xin curved her lips and waved her hand at him.

Wei Ting nodded, unable to describe his feelings. Girls have it so good; they don’t need to worry as much. If he were also a girl, perhaps being with him wouldn’t be so difficult, but there is no such “if.”

The thought of himself becoming a girl made Wei Ting shiver.

No one expected that Master Wei would also encounter trouble.

The Second Concubine’s song turned into a prophecy fulfilled.

The great king’s spirit ended; how can the humble concubine continue to live?

Master Wei suddenly fell seriously ill, and while everyone thought it was a minor illness, he had already passed away.

Depression in his heart, continuous stress, and his body was not originally in good condition.

Master Wei said that in his life, the one he loved most was the Second Concubine, and the one he owed the most to was the First Wife.

The First Wife looked at him with his eyes closed, unable to describe her feelings.

The family was split.

Wei Ting and Wei Zhi got half, the First Wife and Wei Xuan got half, and they all still lived in this house, yet there was quite a distinct sense of separation.

They had opposed each other for over ten years; it wasn’t easy to suddenly become harmonious and loving, despite the important figures between them who were already gone.

Su Xin greeted Wei Ting and prepared to leave.

There was no longer a need for her help. To be precise, at this moment, all her tasks were completed.

The system’s voice sounded in the next second.

【Congratulations to the host for completing the task, system space returning, handing over with the client.】

Su Xin saw the girl with a face full of sorrow; even though her own wish was fulfilled, she still couldn’t find happiness.

“Thank you, although I’m very surprised that you actually have that kind of relationship with her, and I didn’t expect brother to actually be…”

Wei Zhi rubbed her own face, wondering if all truths are this cruel. If she hadn’t known these things, would she not be in so much pain? Things were not as she had guessed, but if they really could be as she had guessed, she even felt that such an ending might be better.

“You’re welcome, it’s part of my duty.”

Wei Zhi completely left this place, allowing Su Xin to fully enjoy her own life.

Su Xin always followed Shen Xiangting, offering advice and strategies, watching her proceed cautiously step by step.

After the final big battle ended, Shen Xiangting had secured her place here.

Reaching this position, withdrawing was not an easy task.

Su Xin stayed by Shen Xiangting’s side, witnessing the evolution of history.

Everything felt like a dream; those histories were no longer just slides but were truly unfolding before her.

Shen Xiangting was forty years old, and in the eyes of outsiders, she was an elderly single woman, an incredible existence. Clearly very beautiful, yet she preferred to let her time pass idly rather than find a man to live with.

But only a few knew about the relationship between Shen Xiangting and the delicate girl by her side.

Su Xin was always a low-key presence. She had been by Shen Xiangting’s side for many years, and in the eyes of outsiders, she was just a loyal protector.

Yet, they didn’t know that in the stillness of the night, a ‘cold and aloof abstinent’ and a ‘probably sexually indifferent’ person would embrace and ‘grind tofu’ together.

The first time Su Xin heard those rumors, she laughed like a dog in front of Shen Xiangting.

Although her demands were not very high, she did what she wanted to do.

At certain times, Shen Xiangting’s needs were immense, and the two of them would fool around all night. The terms abstinent and sexually indifferent seemed to describe two other people.

Everything didn’t come too quickly, and inevitable failure arrived when it was meant to.

“I lost.”

On that day, Su Xin saw the proud Shen Xiangting lower her head, her tone so dejected.

Su Xin appeared very calm, and in fact, she was indeed very calm. This was an event with a known outcome; she didn’t have the ability to change history and couldn’t alter it.

“No problem, you still have me.”

Su Xin kissed her eyes and showed her a smile.

Even if you lose everything, it doesn’t matter, because you still have me.

Shen Xiangting held her tightly, letting out painful sobs.

This was something she had planned and pursued for most of her life, and she could only watch powerlessly as it slipped away from her.

Socialism is good.

Shen Xiangting took Su Xin and ran to Treasure Island. On the day they left, she looked in the direction of her motherland, her eyes full of longing.

Perhaps it would be impossible to return in the future.

“Sorry.”

Shen Xiangting looked at Su Xin.

She didn’t mind much herself, but the girl beside her had to leave her own hometown to be with her.

“Shen Xiangting, if I ever hear you say those three words to me again, you’ll be sleeping on the floor.”

Shen Xiangting laughed, holding Su Xin’s hand, feeling content.

They spent the second half of their lives in a picturesque place. After Shen Xiangting arrived, she didn’t plan to stage a comeback. She let go of those things and devoted herself to planting grass and raising flowers with her lover.

Su Xin threw away the small hoe in her hand and watched Shen Xiangting, who was focused on planting flowers in the flowerbed.

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

“Didn’t you say you don’t like planting flowers?”

Su Xin had a good memory. She remembered that when they first met, Shen Xiangting had a faint floral scent.

At that time, Shen Xiangting said she liked flowers but didn’t like planting them. She preferred to enjoy the result, seeing flowers bloom directly in front of her.

Because the time from sowing to blooming was too long, she didn’t have the patience for it.

“Yes.”

Although she didn’t like the waiting process, for your sake, this kind of tedious waiting is something very much worth celebrating.

How deep is the emotion.

On the day Shen Xiangting died, the flowers in the garden bloomed brightly.

This outcome was something Su Xin did not expect; Shen Xiangting actually left before her.

Su Xin’s lifespan was not yet exhausted. She did not expect that Shen Xiangting, who usually appeared healthier than her, actually had a shorter lifespan.

Su Xin thought, perhaps this is retribution. It seems like every time she leaves first, the remaining person is left in pain.

Su Xin buried Shen Xiangting properly, said some words to the housekeeper, and went after Shen Xiangting.

There was no meaning if she was living alone.
