Fate Trading System – Chapter 48

Plan A

Sister’s Secret 17

The End

“Will you cry?”

Su Xin asked Yan Xingyu this question.

“I don’t know, but I might not, because I’ve never heard of a vampire shedding tears.”

Yan Xingyu said uncertainly, as she thought that tears were something that belonged to humans.

Humans are really strange. They laugh when they are happy, laugh when they are excited, and also laugh when they are sad. Similarly, they cry when they are happy, cry when they are sad, and cry when they are in despair.

But usually, crying is because of sadness.

Su Xin thought, maybe Yan Xingyu herself didn’t know how to die properly.

“How can I kill you?”

“When the time comes, I will give you something, and you just need to use that thing and stab it hard into my heart.”

Yan Xingyu appeared very calm, as if she wasn’t talking about her own death, but something else.

“Won’t you hate me, after all…”

After all, it is really strange, Su Xin asked herself if she could ever go this far.

“Do you mean mind? There’s nothing to mind, I’ve lived too long…”

“I can’t even remember how long I’ve lived.”

Sometimes, I don’t even know what the meaning of my existence is.

There is no desire or craving, drinking blood is just for survival, sometimes having to deal with mutations, forgetting everything, becoming weak, and then being bullied.

So what is the meaning of existence?

She had no interest in sucking blood or making love.

Until she met Su Xin.

“Even if I were given a few thousand more years of life, I might never meet another you.”

Yan Xingyu touched Su Xin’s face with her cold palm.

“Maybe you are the meaning of my existence. After waiting for you in the human world for so long, how could I bear to part with you? Letting me witness your death would be too cruel.”

Yan Xingyu held Su Xin, her expression melancholic.

Humans grow old and die.

But she does not.

So rather than this, it is better to leave like this.

She clearly knew her initial purpose, but still chose to get close to her. At first, it was the instinct of a vampire, but later… perhaps it was love.

Talking about love always seems too pretentious and illusory.

Feelings grow over time, and this is undeniably true.

Su Xin kissed Yan Xingyu’s face; she didn’t know that she still wanted her tears.

The days that followed were as calm as water. Su Xin spent her university years peacefully, during which she rejected numerous confessions, clearly stating that she already had a partner.

Although Yan Xingyu was not afraid of sunlight, she also hated it very much.

But she was willing to overcome this aversion and resistance for Su Xin.

Walking hand in hand with her little wife on the street felt really good.

In fact, Su Xin’s body had a long lifespan. When she took over, she was eighteen years old, with a lifespan of sixty years, so she could live to seventy-eight.

Enough time for a young girl to turn into an elderly lady.

“I think I’m really lucky to have your entire life.”

Yan Xingyu always looked the same, young, beautiful, and unattainable.

Her hair fell on Su Xin’s face as she kissed her forehead.

“I think we look really mismatched. If someone saw us, they would definitely think you have a very unique taste.”

Su Xin looked at her aged face and smiled.

The butler was the first to leave them, passing away very peacefully.

Then it was the cook, followed by Qianqian.

They were all pitiful people once, but were saved by Yan Xingyu and began a life of mutual dependence.

The older cousin found Yan Xingyu’s long-lasting affection unbelievable, especially when Su Xin was no longer beautiful and youthful.

The older cousin said that when he spoke of love back then, it was not just a casual remark, but he never expected it to be in this situation. He thought it would last for one night, or many nights, but never imagined it would be for so many years.

He once asked Yan Xingyu if she needed his help, because human life is too short. He could turn Su Xin into a vampire, but Yan Xingyu refused.

Letting someone else touch her little wife would drive her crazy.

Moreover, Yan Xingyu felt that her little wife wouldn’t like that version of herself.

Su Xin thought about a question for a long time: how could she make Yan Xingyu shed tears?

She wanted to make her feel pain, but she had no idea how to provoke her.

It was impossible to use the reason that she didn’t love her anymore. After so many years, there was nothing they didn’t know about each other.

Perhaps at this critical moment, she would fail.

Su Xin was about to leave; her spirit was deteriorating, and her body was in terrible shape.

“This is for you.”

Yan Xingyu placed a cold object into Su Xin’s palm.

It was a large, silver-white cross with a sharp tip like a sword. The entire cross was smaller than a sword, roughly one-third the size.

“Use this to stab me, and I will definitely die.”

Yan Xingyu touched Su Xin’s face.

She could no longer feel that voice from the depths of her heart, but she still did this as agreed, after all, she didn’t want to be left alone here.

“It doesn’t seem to be as easy as imagined.”

This wasn’t Su Xin’s first time killing someone. She thought, perhaps when people get old, their hearts age too, making them soft-hearted. For whatever reason, she couldn’t just stab this thing in.

To end the life of someone she liked, or rather, someone who had accompanied her for so long, with a sharp weapon, was cruel, wasn’t it?

She couldn’t get her tears either, so even if she did stab, the task might not succeed.

But thinking of failure, it really made her unwilling.

Yan Xingyu squatted in front of Su Xin, the direction the cross pointed was right at her heart.

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

The cross fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

“I think I have no strength left.”

Su Xin gave a bitter smile; she couldn’t hold on.

Su Xin half-closed her eyes, as if she was about to sleep this way.

So sleepy.

Once I close my eyes, I might never wake up again.

Su Xin couldn’t open her eyes, barely hanging on to life.

She didn’t know Yan Xingyu was calling her name, nor could she see Yan Xingyu’s expression that resembled a dead heart.

She couldn’t hear any sound or see anything, in a very mysterious state, with one foot stepping into the gates of hell.

Yan Xingyu looked at her little wife with closed eyes in her arms and suddenly became extremely panicked and scared.

What to do, it’s coming… it’s coming…

She was going to lose her, forever! Forever!

“Qiaoqiao, wife.”

No response.

A tear suddenly flowed down from the corner of her eye, silently disappearing into her clothing.

Yan Xingyu’s face began to age rapidly, as if decades had passed in an instant.

Yan Xingyu picked up the cross from the ground, placed it in Su Xin’s palm, and personally stabbed it into her own heart.

A sound of corrosion came from there, but no blood.

Su Xin seemed to feel something, and just as she was about to leave completely, she suddenly opened her eyes.

She thought, perhaps she shouldn’t have opened her eyes, otherwise, she wouldn’t have seen this scene.

Yan Xingyu’s face was full of pain; the face that once seemed immune to time had become old, and her body was rapidly withering.

Su Xin opened her mouth but couldn’t make any sound. As she tried hard to keep her eyes open to see clearly, darkness suddenly descended, and she lost consciousness.

“You shouldn’t have opened your eyes. I think I must look very unattractive now, leaving a bad impression as you depart.”

No matter how old you are or what you look like, you will always be my little wife.

Su Xin closed her eyes forever in Yan Xingyu’s arms, but the embracing Yan Xingyu did not resemble a human death. Her body withered, yet she tightly confined the person in her arms. The silver-white cross penetrated her heart, evoking a sense of poignant beauty.

Yi Ge watched all this from a distance and sighed.

What was the point of making it come to this, and what meaning did it hold?

Eternal life, wasn’t it good?

A fire ignited everything, burning away all traces. No one would ever know that a human and a vampire once lived here, nor would they know the stories that happened between them.

That might be called love.

A story of nurturing and being nurtured, even though their love did not begin in that period.

Sometimes it’s just that coincidental. Just one more glance in the vast sea of people, and they fall.

For them, their feelings did not begin with that one glance but through long-term companionship.

Or perhaps, it was in that very moment when the vampire pierced her fangs into the human’s body, and the beloved girl indeed showed no regrets.

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

Su Xin might never know what moved Yan Xingyu, but she thought it was as it should be. In Yan Xingyu’s eyes, perhaps she was worth cherishing.

This world is so magical; when one individual encounters another, it triggers a different story.

Sometimes the right one isn’t necessarily the good one, and the good one isn’t necessarily the right one. Some people experience unrequited love, some are caught in love triangles, some meet scoundrels, but some are just really lucky. For example, I met you, Yan Xingyu met Su Xin.

【Congratulations to the host for completing the task. One-sixth of the reward from this task has been deducted, leaving a balance of ten months. The remaining life in the real world is twenty-nine months. Please enjoy it well.】

Since the client has already been eliminated, Su Xin doesn’t need to return to the system space to see her.

【Another Possibility】

If Yan Xingyu were like an ordinary vampire, afraid of sunlight but capable of granting eternal life.

She naturally gave her first embrace to her little wife, turning her into one of her kind.

What kind of story would unfold after that?

They would no longer be able to see the sunlight, but they would have the right to each other’s companionship.

However, they could still appreciate the beauty of the night, with the starry sky seemingly ready to fall and press upon them, carrying a vast beauty, and a room full of roses, exuding a strong fragrance.

They would walk hand in hand on the night streets, watching the insects fly around the streetlights.

Eternal love.
