Fate Trading System – Chapter 35

Plan A

Sister’s Secret 4

The Answer

Apart from the room’s color making one feel very dark and suffocating, there was nothing particularly special about it.

At least there wasn’t any weird thing like a coffin in the room, or maybe there was, but Su Xin hadn’t discovered it.

Su Xin rolled around on the big bed in her very girlish, young-looking blue and pink-decorated room, pushing a pile of stuffed toys off the bed. The bed was now clean and tidy, and Su Xin let out a sigh of relief.

She really couldn’t spend a wonderful night with this group of cute little things.

Su Xin had no feelings towards lace and plush, but she quite liked small animals, just not this kind of stuffed toys.

But the original owner liked them, and liked them very much.

Su Xin covered herself with the blanket, looking at the room’s decor, and felt a pang of stomach pain.

But to maintain the character setting, she couldn’t make any big changes, so she had to endure it.

Actually, the sweet princess style wasn’t that bad, even though the original owner was already an 18-year-old baby.

Su Xin lay on the bed like a lazy dog for a while, then got up.

After grabbing her clothes and taking a shower in the bathroom, Su Xin lay on the bed and began to think about how to deal with that sister who seemed very unwilling to talk to her.

No way to start. Why can’t this world be a bit simpler?

If it could be simpler, she could just find a place, get a gun, and complete her task.

But she couldn’t kill her. What could be done?

Su Xin couldn’t help but imagine the scene: if she took a gun and fired a bullet at Yan Xingyu, the bullet would penetrate Yan Xingyu’s vital parts, but Yan Xingyu would be completely unharmed.

That would be extremely awkward, a situation that couldn’t even be resolved by dancing awkwardly together.

This body didn’t have any special abilities, but it was strange. If it was an impossible task, why would it be assigned to her?

【Yes, host. In fact, I’ve just found a way to deal with her.】

Fourteen spoke in Su Xin’s mind.

Master Fourteen, you should have said so earlier. But it’s not too late now. Tell me, what’s the method?

As long as there’s a way, it’s good. As long as she can find that point and follow it through, she’ll definitely succeed.

【You can find the method by expending 1/6 of your life value.】

Fourteen’s mechanical voice rang out again.

One-sixth! Ruthless profiteer!

Just 1/12 of her life was already enough to make Su Xin feel heartbroken, let alone 1/6.

1/6, that’s two months.

【Host, you can choose to refuse the query.】

Fourteen said calmly.

Master Fourteen, your researcher must be very good at doing business.

【Yes, host. They are the greatest merchant and inventor in the dimension, but unfortunately, their health is not very good.】

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

Fourteen’s tone couldn’t hide its pride.

Aren’t you afraid that I might never get the answer and ultimately fail the task?

【Not afraid at all. Why should I be afraid? If you’re gone, I can find another host. And as a friendly reminder, since you’ve already completed tasks in two worlds, the total renewal of your life value is 20 months. If you don’t complete the task in this world, we are very humane and won’t choose to eliminate you; we’ll just deduct one year from your life.】

Fourteen’s tone was that of a ruthless profiteer, causing Su Xin to choke up.

Master Fourteen, are we still good partners or not?

【Of course we are. While striving for the greatest benefit for the researcher, I will also strive for the greatest benefit for you.】

Fourteen had its priorities straight: the creator was the boss, Su Xin, Sun Yixiao, and all future hosts were secondary.

Su Xin had nothing to say in response to that answer.

【Host, do you want to query?】

Query.

It’s just two months, she could earn it back later.

【Okay, the result has been delivered.】

Su Xin looked at the result and almost choked. What kind of ridiculous setup is this?

To kill such a vampire, you must make her shed tears of true love, and then pierce her heart with something made of silver.

Master Fourteen, are you kidding me?

【Of course not, this is the correct answer.】

Su Xin felt that this was somewhat too despicable. Not to mention that killing a hybrid vampire would require such a setup, the act of killing in this manner was excessive.

You have to first deceive her heart, make her shed tears, and then kill her.

Su Xin didn’t want to do that. In the two worlds she had previously experienced, which she couldn’t quite remember now, love was a very beautiful thing.

It was her willingness that started it all.

Although she couldn’t quite remember the feeling now, she knew she had experienced it before.

Isn’t this too excessive? It’s not just about easily killing someone.

Su Xin felt she was being a bit sentimental. She touched her fingers and suddenly wanted to smoke a cigarette.

In the very first world, during the years she was separated from Qiu Qingqing, she smoked heavily because it helped her calm her emotions.

It alleviated the bloody feeling she had every time she completed a task. Until later when they reunited, Qiu Qingqing wouldn’t allow her to engage in such harmful behavior, and by then, Su Xin had gradually gotten used to the feeling of ending lives, so she quit smoking.

Su Xin laughed softly. She should be someone with principles; otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken the initiative to become a cleaner. She always knew she wasn’t a clean person, but she didn’t like to do things against her will. Perhaps she was a person with a conscience.

Su Xin didn’t know if she would develop feelings for Yan Xingyu. If she truly didn’t have those feelings, she would give up on this task.

Even if the goal was to kill her and end her life, if it involved falling in love, then she hoped it would be an equal relationship.

Deceiving someone’s heart was too disgusting.

That would make her feel her hands were dirty, and even her heart had become dirty.

【I support all your ideas.】

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

Fourteen would not interfere too much with Su Xin’s choices. As it said at the beginning, this was Su Xin’s task, not its own; it could be considered merely a collaborator.

If everything had to rely on it, then it might as well do it itself and not go through the trouble of finding a host.

【This body has a lifespan of sixty years; please feel free to soar.】

Okay.

Su Xin closed her eyes and began to sleep. The time of a third-year high school student is very precious; how could it be wasted on romance?

However, Su Xin was really curious, and she wanted to take a look in the basement.

The next day when she got up, Su Xin didn’t see Yan Xingyu as usual and spent the day fighting through her classes in language, math, foreign languages, politics, history, and geography.

“Qiaoqiao, you seem a bit different today; you seemed different yesterday too.”

Zhang Shu couldn’t help but say to Su Xin while packing her things.

Su Xin looked at this girl who might be the closest to the original owner and who understood her the best. She probably hadn’t collapsed her persona too much.

“You haven’t been acting cute with anyone today.”

Zhang Shu poked her cheek.

In the past, almost every day, her deskmate would act cute with her, but it had been two days now without any response from her deskmate. This was too abnormal.

Zhang Shu wondered if she had done something to upset Su Xin, which made her angry. However, Su Xin was still joking and laughing with her as usual, and it didn’t seem like she was angry when they went to eat together.

Su Xin’s facial expression stiffened; she might really not be able to act cute and whiny like the original owner while hugging the little girl. Unless it was with someone familiar like Qiu Qingqing, but with this current best friend of the original owner, Su Xin found it hard to speak up.

“I won’t act cute anymore, not just with you, but with everyone.”

Su Xin said with a serious expression.

“What’s wrong? Did someone say something about you again?”

Zhang Shu put down the book she was holding.

“No, it’s just that we’re already eighteen; we can’t keep going on like this.”

Su Xin shrugged, packed her things, and slung her backpack over her shoulder.

Zhang Shu organized all her belongings, feeling a bit lost and melancholic.

In fact, she still quite liked the previous version of Su Xin, who, even though she was already an adult, was still a silly, sweet girl who would softly call her name and was very easy to deceive, like a little white rabbit.

Su Xin had never imagined that one day she would encounter a robbery.

It was already unsafe for a girl to go home alone in the middle of the night, and what’s more, the road home for Su Xin was rather deserted since her small villa was built in a relatively quiet area.

So when Su Xin was deliberately knocked off her electric scooter by someone on a bicycle, she was completely stunned.

The person also fell, but it seemed like he wasn’t seriously hurt and quickly got back up.

Su Xin, however, was in a worse situation; the body’s physical condition was already very weak, and after falling hard, the electric scooter pinned her left leg down, leaving her unable to move.

The person didn’t say a word, walked up to her, yanked her backpack off her back, and began rummaging through it.

Su Xin had seventy yuan in her backpack, which the man took entirely.

She couldn’t see his face clearly, but based on his height and general outline, she could tell he was a man.

The man began to feel around in her pockets. After rummaging through all four pockets and finding nothing, he muttered a curse under his breath.

(If you're not reading on littlepandatranslations.com, it means this has been stolen)

“Is there any more money?”

The man asked gruffly.

“That’s all I have,” she replied.

The man seemed to realize that she was just a student. Seeing her pinned under the overturned electric scooter, he revealed a lewd grin.

“Since there’s no money, we can use something else. Otherwise, it would be a waste of my time to bump into you tonight.”

The man chuckled, and his hands began to roam over Su Xin’s body, trying to reach inside her school uniform pants.

Su Xin had started to recover a bit; suppressing the pain, she pushed the unsuspecting man away. She attempted to use her uninjured leg and her hands to pull out her trapped leg, but the electric scooter was too heavy. She couldn’t succeed, and her hands were scratched by sharp little stones on the ground, leaving shallow cuts that burned painfully.

The man who had been pushed away spat on the ground and continued to walk toward Su Xin.

“Little girl, don’t struggle; Uncle promises to take good care of you.”

The man leered as he approached Su Xin, who looked like she had lost all her strength.

Su Xin recalled the dagger she had exchanged for 1/12 of her life in her previous world, which Fourteen had managed to obtain for her.

As the man got closer, Su Xin pressed the tip of the knife against his vital point.
