Sister’s Secret 2

Confusion

Although she doesn’t really understand, it feels quite impressive, and she’s the only mixed-race in the East. Su Xin pulled at the corner of her mouth; what a magical creature.

So how is she supposed to kill her?

A cross?

【You can try?】

Su Xin doesn’t know much about vampires, only that they are a product from the West, afraid of sunlight, garlic, and crosses, afraid of silver, originally bats.

Su Xin feels that with her weakling body, she would probably be done for before even getting close to Yan Xingyu.

Master Fourteen, do you know how to kill her?

【The data didn’t say. If I knew, I would have told you already.】

Fourteen is also confused; there are so many strange creatures in the human world.

Su Xin tried hard to recall Yan Xingyu’s face, but found her memory blurry.

She actually couldn’t remember what Yan Xingyu looked like, only the terrifying pair of dark red eyes in the basement that day.

Su Xin slumped on the table in low spirits, thinking about how to get rid of the non-human creature at home.

Actually, maybe Yan Xingyu is innocent, not like what the original owner thought, but there’s no choice; a task is a task.

Su Xin’s hand was bumped by someone. She looked confusedly at her deskmate, who gestured with their eyes. Following their gaze, she saw the math teacher on the podium giving her an angry look.

Remembering that her current identity is that of a student, Su Xin immediately sat up straight, holding a pen and pretending to listen attentively. The math teacher withdrew her gaze and continued with the lesson.

After class, the math teacher left, and the atmosphere in the class relaxed a lot, but it didn’t get noisy.

“You actually spaced out in math class today. No, I should say that for the past two days, your classroom demeanor hasn’t been right. What’s wrong with you?”

Her deskmate, a girl with a ponytail and round glasses, asked with concern.

In the original owner’s memory, this was her very good friend and deskmate, Zhang Shu. They were very close, best friends.

Best friends. Su Xin didn’t know why, but hearing this term made her feel a bit uneasy.

Su Xin looked around the class, matching people with her memories.

In Lin Qiaoqiao’s mind, she was a well-liked little princess who got along with everyone and could chat with anyone. Everyone was very polite and nice to her.

Su Xin rubbed her temples. She actually didn’t like talking to this group of energetic students, who thought they were very mature but were actually childish.

“It’s nothing. I haven’t been feeling well these past two days, had some insomnia, and didn’t sleep well.”

Lin Qiaoqiao wouldn’t tell anyone this kind of thing. Although she was naive and sweet, she had some intelligence and knew that if she said this, others wouldn’t believe her.

“Oh, that’s good. What are we eating for lunch?”

Zhang Shu was doodling with a pen on a piece of scrap paper. It was already the third period, and after the last Chinese class, they would be dismissed for lunch.

“Um… I won’t be having lunch with you today. I’m going home.”

Su Xin wanted to go home to see Yan Xingyu, even though she might not necessarily run into her.

After meeting in the basement that day, she had screamed and run out, and Yan Xingyu hadn’t chased after her. Lin Qiaoqiao hadn’t gone home these past two days, nor did she call Yan Xingyu to tell her where she was. Yan Xingyu also hadn’t called to ask. Lin Qiaoqiao had been staying at Zhang Shu’s house these past two days.

Yan Xingyu was very lenient with Lin Qiaoqiao, giving her a lot of freedom. It was almost like she was one of those parents who only gave her money and saw her once a day, very distant.

“Why do you suddenly want to go home? Didn’t you say last night that you didn’t want to go home and wanted to stay at my place? Did you make up with your parents?”

Zhang Shu asked.

Although the two were best friends, Lin Qiaoqiao always felt a sense of inferiority about her family situation.

Lin Qiaoqiao didn’t want others to know that her parents were gone and that she lived with her sister—especially since her sister was so elusive, making it feel like she was living alone.

Because in the eyes of others, she was a little princess cherished by her parents, with a happy and perfect family environment. Many people speculated about her parents’ jobs.

Although such behavior might seem childish to adults, as there’s nothing to hide, for teenagers at this age, maintaining face is extremely important.

Their lives revolve around school, and everything is related to school. Therefore, interactions with friends and classmates are crucial. Some rumors can be enough to break their mental state.

Lin Qiaoqiao enjoyed being adored, and since they were already in their final year of high school, about to go their separate ways, she guarded this secret even more closely.

“Yes, everything is fine now. Previously, I wanted to buy something, and they thought it was unnecessary, so they didn’t let me. I threw a tantrum because of that. But now they’ve agreed, so we’re good again.”

Su Xin mimicked the original owner’s tone, putting on a somewhat boastful look.

Talking nonsense.

“Oh, then let’s hang out together this afternoon.”

Zhang Shu nodded, went back to her desk to start working on problems, and didn’t talk to Su Xin anymore.

Su Xin looked at the problems in the practice books, her expression indescribable.

She clearly felt that these problems were very unfamiliar, but when she tried to solve them, it was as if she had an automatic instinct to choose the correct answers, with a bunch of analyses popping up in her mind.

Fortunately, it was the body of a top student. Su Xin picked up her pen and began to painfully do the homework.

She really hated studying, truly.

The Chinese class was uneventful. The teacher was explaining classical Chinese literature and would occasionally call on a few students to answer questions.

Su Xin was very lucky not to get picked because she had always been an active participant in class, with strong performance skills, always raising her hand voluntarily. So, when she didn’t raise her hand, the teacher wouldn’t call on her. The knowledge points covered in this class were not too difficult, so there wasn’t a situation where the teacher was dissatisfied with everyone’s answers and then chose Su Xin to answer.

The school bell rang, and this time it was much noisier.

Zhang Shu left with others, and Su Xin walked to the parking lot, riding her electric bike out of the school.

The distance between the school and home was actually quite far. If Su Xin rode the electric bike back and forth, it would waste a lot of time. So, Su Xin parked the bike in a convenient spot and took a taxi home.

Yan Xingyu was very wealthy. Su Xin didn’t know where Yan Xingyu’s money came from, but Lin Qiaoqiao had never lacked money and always lived a relatively affluent life.

Home was a rather exquisite duplex small villa, with flowers planted in front, giving it a fresh and clean feel.

There weren’t many servants at home, just a butler, a cook, and a maid. Their whereabouts were quite mysterious; Lin Qiaoqiao rarely saw them anyway.

Su Xin clicked her tongue; this environment seemed very eerie, and the people inside were quite odd.

Su Xin took out the key, opened the door, and then closed it behind her.

“Miss, why are you home for lunch today?”

The butler hadn’t expected Su Xin to come home for lunch today. He stood straight at the bottom of the stairs, wearing a formal tailcoat, with his hair neatly combed.

“Yes, I’m having lunch at home today. Where’s my sister?”

Su Xin went straight to the point, inquiring about Yan Xingyu’s whereabouts.

“Uh… the eldest miss? We don’t know either.”

The butler shook his head, indicating he wasn’t sure.

“Miss is back. What would you like to eat? I’ll make it for you now so you won’t be late for school. What do you want for lunch today?”

The cook poked her head out from the kitchen, her expression full of enthusiasm.

“Fried rice. Just make a little.”

“Alright, miss, wait a moment.”

The cook returned to the kitchen and began cooking.

Su Xin sat on the sofa, and the maid, Qianqian, brought her a cup of warm water and then stood obediently to the side.

On the surface, Su Xin appeared to be watching TV, but she was actually thinking about other things.

In Lin Qiaoqiao’s impression, the butler was a serious and rigid person. He did everything meticulously and always wore a tailcoat.

The butler looked like an old man of about 60 years, with a full head of white hair and a face full of wrinkles, his eyes very sharp.

The cook, on the other hand, was a chatty woman who was very enthusiastic towards her, always seeming to be smiling, and her cooking was very delicious.

The maid, Qianqian, seemed to be a timid and obedient person. She didn’t look very old but had been working in their household for many years. Lin Qiaoqiao didn’t know exactly how old Qianqian was.

Lin Qiaoqiao had tried chatting with Qianqian, but she just wouldn’t speak, as if she were a quiet listener. Whenever Lin Qiaoqiao asked her something, she would either smile and not answer or lower her head and remain silent, leaving Lin Qiaoqiao at a loss.

The cook moved quickly and soon brought out her lunch.

Although it was just fried rice, it was of supreme quality.

Last night’s shredded pork with green peppers was mixed with rice, the green peppers were slightly crispy and spicy, and it also included green peas and carrot pieces, making it irresistible to stop eating.

Su Xin ate her fill, wiped her mouth, and prepared to go to school.

Before opening the door again, she turned her head and said a sentence to the butler.

“If you see my sister, please convey a message for me: I want to meet with her tonight and have a talk.”

First, she had to see the target, otherwise, how could she carry out the mission?

Su Xin would usually spend a long time preparing after receiving a task, to ensure everything was foolproof.

Investigating the target’s family background and knowing their appearance was basic. She needed to figure out their travel routes and familiar ways of handling matters, then draft a timetable in her mind, and finally deliver a fatal blow at the most opportune moment.

“Alright, miss.”

Su Xin returned to the place where she had previously parked her electric bike and rode it back to school.

She was actually a bit later than usual today, but she happened to overhear something.

Two girls were parking their bikes and chatting, and the subject of their conversation was her.

They weren’t saying anything nice, mostly talking about her faults. The more they talked, the more united they seemed in their disdain, but Su Xin found it quite amusing.

Su Xin walked past them and stopped right in front of them.

“Say it louder, repeat what you said. I’m standing right here in front of you, feel free to say as much as you want.”

The two girls looked embarrassed and exchanged glances.
