Plan A
Running with the Ball 30
In the pure white system space, Su Xin was still not quite used to her suddenly flat stomach.
“The mission is considered complete, but my follow-up work isn’t finished yet. You can rest assured, I won’t let them have an easy latter half of their lives.”
The curve of Su Xin’s eyes revealed a bit of roguish wickedness. To end things now would be far too easy for them. Without her participation, those two could ruin his (the baby’s) latter half of life.
Although Feng Linhan is already 30 years old, it’s not too late, is it? He just has to go somewhere else, find a new job, and starting a new family wouldn’t be a problem.
As for He Qin, her mother probably has long been hoping she would abort the child in her belly and then hook another tall, rich, and handsome man.
That way, their future lives could still be very good. How could that be acceptable?
“Thank you, and… please take good care of my child.”
“Absolutely no problem.”
Jiang Xiao walked towards the white light, and her figure was devoured by it.
【Host1, do you choose to stay?】
Yes.
Su Xin returned to the moment just before. Feng Linhan was grabbing He Qin, Bai Jianglan was supporting her, and Wen Linlang and Xu Yiman were watching the show.
“Qinqin, you can’t do this to me.”
“Why can’t I? Have you forgotten the things we said when we tore face2 with each other?”
“Feng Linhan, I am not as shameless as you think.”
“Qinqin… at least… at least keep the child, okay? He is a life in your belly, after all. How can you bear to abort him?”
“A birth that isn’t blessed is a mistake to begin with. Anyway, even if I give birth to him, I won’t raise him. And if I were to give him to you to raise, I wouldn’t be at ease at all. So why should he be born?”
It would only be another tragedy. Besides, He Qin didn’t want any ties remaining here. If she was going to start a new life, she had to live on and say goodbye to everything from the past.
If she were to find another man in the future, those men probably wouldn’t want her to have a child existing in this world.
“He Qin!”
“If you have the guts to yell at me, then go yell at her.”
He Qin pointed at Su Xin, and Feng Linhan’s anger immediately deflated.
“What right does he have to yell at me? It was you two who were doing dirty, can’t-see-the-light3 things for so many years. And now you have the mouth-face4 to talk about others? I really suspect your mother threw out your brain when she gave birth to you, which is why you don’t have a shred of shame and don’t even want your face5. Ah… that’s right, what do you need face for? You make a living by relying on being shameless to eat6, don’t you?”
Su Xin said mockingly, and Wen Linlang couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“There’s nothing for you to do here anymore, so just get lost. And by the way, next time you want to jump off a building, do it earlier. Who the fuck cares if you live or die? Hurry up and go get your abortion7. I even feel sorry for the child in your belly.”
“Feng Linhan, you need to remember one thing: in the future, this child will not have half a mao’s8 worth of a relationship with you.”
After Su Xin finished speaking, Feng Linhan unconsciously retracted the hand that was gripping He Qin’s wrist.
He Qin had no intention of getting entangled here and left first.
Before leaving, she glanced back.
Wen Linlang was in the middle of kicking Feng Linhan to the ground. Her knuckles cracked as she grabbed him and hauled him up.
It was hard to believe a girl could have such strength. He Qin inadvertently recalled her own experience of being mugged last time.
“As you expected, it’s true that I was the one who did it last time. What about it?”
Su Xin’s current expression looked especially punchable9, that’s right. The one who beat you was my person. What can you do to me?
“You… you’re not afraid I’ll sue you?”
“Are you kidding me? Did pregnancy make your brain stupid? There’s nothing for you here anymore, so hurry up and leave. Or do you want to stay and keep him company?”
Su Xin wasn’t afraid. So what if she knew? Besides getting angry enough to cause herself internal injury10, there was nothing she could do.
“Linlang, try not to hit his face. Even if you do, don’t leave any particularly deep marks. He still has to go get the divorce certificate for me tomorrow.”
“Don’t worry, I’m a professional.”
Wen Linlang made an “OK” sign. Feng Linhan tried to resist, but he was directly tied up by Wen Linlang, with Xu Yiman handing her the rope from the side.
When Su Xin felt it was about enough, she had Wen Linlang stop and untie Feng Linhan.
“Feng Linhan, remember, this is what you owe me. For the seven years you wronged me, this beating is a very worthy exchange. You need to remember, the one who made you lose your job wasn’t me, it was He Qin.”
“The one who destroyed all of this for you also wasn’t me, it was He Qin.”
A gust of wind blew leisurely by. Feng Linhan sat up from the ground, looked at the vast, empty rooftop, and couldn’t help but break down and cry his heart out.
Gone. Everything was gone.
They had come in two cars: Wen Linlang and Xu Yiman, and Su Xin and Bai Jianglan.
“Actually, I don’t feel it’s appropriate for me to say these things. But since she asked you to come today, you should understand what that means.”
Su Xin looked at Xu Yiman, and Xu Yiman, who got the hint11, nodded.
Xu Yiman could see that Wen Linlang greatly respected this older cousin of hers. Furthermore, Su Xin was pampered by Bai Jianglan and was undoubtedly her other half. Adding in the relationship between Su Xin and Wen Linlang, Su Xin was undoubtedly very qualified to say those words.
“Dajie.”
Wen Linlang was a little embarrassed and pulled Xu Yiman into the car.
“We’ll leave first, see you later.”
Su Xin and Bai Jianglan got in the car, and Bai Jianglan fastened Su Xin’s seatbelt for her.
“Is there anything you want to say to me?” Su Xin spoke up.
“Yes.”
“Miss Jiang, can I be the one who takes off your clothes for you?”
Bai Jianglan tilted her head to look at Su Xin and said with a perfectly straight face.
“Is this considered a confession?”
“Yes.”
“Come here, and I’ll tell you my answer.”
Bai Jianglan leaned over, only to receive a kiss.
A sweet kiss.
Bai Jianglan trembled, caressing her with her lips and tongue as if obtaining a priceless treasure, afraid of shattering this beautiful, dream-like moment.
The car was parked there quietly. A little light slanted in through the window, making the inside half-lit and half-dark, so that one couldn’t see the movements clearly.
No one passing by would notice the scene inside.
No one would know that inside, someone’s love had blossomed into a flower.
It grew strong and healthy, yet it also entwined, completely occupying the entire heart.
Between breaths was the scent of each other; that feeling of mingling entered the inside of the body.
“Bai Jianglan.”
“Hm?”
“Do you like me?”
“I do.”
That voice was soft, as if afraid of startling something.
Bai Jianglan saw Su Xin’s eyes, which drew her closer and made her obsessed.
“I’m divorced now. Why don’t you ask me to marry you?”
“Okay.”
Su Xin nipped Bai Jianglan’s nose and sat up straight.
“It’s a pity I can’t wear that dress for you to see now.”
“I can buy you many clothes.”
Just like an overbearing CEO12, speaking without a second thought.
“Let’s go home. Shall we name the baby together?”
“Okay.”
It was just that natural, like water flowing to form a channel13. They were 30-year-old women, not some little girls. Since the affection was mutual, they should just be together. There was nothing to be conflicted about.
Bai Jianglan thought, her feelings for Su Xin weren’t love at first sight, but they weren’t love that grew over time either.
That one glance was too short, and those few days were too long.
“Are you prepared to tell your parents?”
“Yes, I’ll tell them tomorrow.”
“Aren’t you afraid of scaring them?”
“They might have already guessed and made all the preparations.”
Their daughter was thirty and still had no one by her side. She was either sick, or she was still waiting.
If they were parents who truly loved their child, they wouldn’t choose to scold her, but would be gratified, right?
“Will they mind?” Su Xin rubbed her belly.
“I won’t let anyone slander or harm you.” Bai Jianglan reached out and stroked Su Xin’s hand.
“I’m not worried. I know you’re afraid I’ll be uncomfortable.”
“Let’s go buy rings.”
“Now?”
“Is that okay?”
Bai Jianglan already couldn’t wait to fence this person in.
First, she would buy an engagement ring. As for the wedding rings, she would have them custom-made later.
“Okay.”
Su Xin nodded, naturally agreeing. Her little cutie had already been waiting obediently for a long time.
The car stopped at the entrance of a specialty store, and Bai Jianglan unbuckled her seatbelt.
“Don’t get out yet.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Kiss me first.”
Su Xin also unbuckled her seatbelt and leaned over, acting cute.
Bai Jianglan protected her belly as they exchanged a kiss.
Bai Jianglan’s kiss was gentle and restrained, just like her as a person—self-disciplined to the point of being rigid.
Su Xin was a little dissatisfied. She hooked Bai Jianglan’s chin.
Biting her lips, her tongue entwined with Bai Jianglan’s, pulling out an ambiguous, transparent thread of saliva.
“Mmm… Xiaoxiao…”
“Shh.”
Su Xin placed a finger on Bai Jianglan’s lips, a light shining in her eyes.
“Has anyone ever told you that when you kiss, you have to concentrate?”
Su Xin’s passion was something Bai Jianglan was a little unused to, but she quickly turned the guest into the host14, taking Su Xin’s tongue into her mouth and clasping the back of her head. Her other hand didn’t forget to support Su Xin’s belly, afraid she might bump it.
“You’re so mēnsāo15.”
Su Xin wiped her lips and hummed lightly. Bai Jianglan, a little embarrassed, pursed her lips.
After getting out of the car, Bai Jianglan led Su Xin into the specialty store.
Su Xin’s fingers were still fair and beautiful, all ten of them clean. That wedding ring had long been left behind by her in that house.
She had never intended to acknowledge that identity, and from the beginning, she had no plans to wear the ring.
“Ladies, are you looking at rings? What kind are you looking for? For an engagement, a wedding, or for everyday wear?”
“Engagement.”
“Okay, this way please.”
Su Xin and Bai Jianglan walked over together. The sales associate16 had scanned them both when they entered, judging the value of their clothes, and finally focused on Bai Jianglan.
After all, Su Xin was already pregnant, although her fingers were bare.
“Ladies, what style do you like? These few pairs of engagement rings are new models. I’ll show you the ladies’ ones.”
“Which one do you like?” Bai Jianglan looked at Su Xin.
“This one.”
“Let us have a look at this pair.”
The sales associate took out the pair, a little confused about who exactly was getting engaged.
Su Xin picked up the lady’s ring, and it fit perfectly.
The sales associate understood. But then she saw Bai Jianglan put on the man’s ring.
So… it was like that.
