Fate Trading System – Chapter 179

Plan A

Spirit Alliance 20

New Drama

The white wolf hadn’t expected her lover would actually use this move, seeing the adorably angry little hamster before her, she didn’t know how to proceed.

Being cute is not a crime!

Although the white wolf wanted to play with the little hamster and make her melt into her body, thinking about the consequences, she forcibly held back, and only submissively used her tongue to groom her lover’s fur.

Su Xin, having received this saliva baptism, expressionlessly wiped her face with her little paws, then turned around, facing away from Chu Qiu.

Ah, how annoying.

“Wife, wife, I was wrong, don’t be angry, okay? Quick, transform back.”

“You transform back first.”

“Don’t you like my true form?”

“I like it but this isn’t the right situation, thank you.”

These two were actually communicating in their species’ languages, one going ‘awoo awoo’, the other ‘squeak squeak’, but it didn’t matter, after all, they were both spirits, they could understand each other across species.

“You transform back first, then I’ll transform back.”

“No, I want you to transform back first. If you don’t transform back today, I’ll leave tomorrow, I’ll run away from home, believe it or not!”

“I believe, I believe, I believe.”

Chu Qiu transformed back to human form, holding the little hamster in the palm of her hand.

“Put me down, I’m going to transform back.”

“Oh, alright.”

Chu Qiu smiled, then lay flat, placing the person on her stomach.

Su Xin transformed back, resulting in a certain position.

Ah! Big bad wolf!

After their harmonious activity, Chu Qiu felt their relationship had made a qualitative leap, elevated in every aspect.

When they finished, it was around three in the morning. Su Xin and Chu Qiu took a bath together in the bathroom. Chu Qiu finished first and came out, changed the bedsheets, and after Su Xin finished her bath, she lay comfortably on the clean bed.

Now there was no sleepiness, possibly because they were both spirits, so their stamina was quite good. Su Xin reached for her phone and saw the message Bai Qianqian had sent earlier.

Bai Qianqian: I got an opportunity to audition for a supporting female role in a movie, thanks to my agent, I’m going to work hard and improve!

Bai Qianqian was probably asleep now, but Su Xin immediately replied to the message when she saw it today.

Su Xin: That’s fantastic!

Although Bai Qianqian’s resources weren’t as good as Su Xin’s, they were still quite decent. The agent was equally responsible, and since Bai Qianqian was poached from another company at a price by the boss, even though she didn’t have much fame before, she was a hardworking and spirited talent, so the agent was also working hard to secure opportunities for her.

Su Xin thought she would receive a response tomorrow, but unexpectedly, Bai Qianqian replied instantly.

Bai Qianqian: Mm-hmm, I will. I’ll go for the audition in a few days, and I’ll definitely bring my best state.

Su Xin: Why aren’t you sleeping yet? It’s already three in the morning, so late.

Bai Qianqian: Can’t sleep, maybe I’m too excited. But why aren’t you sleeping either?

Su Xin: I had something to take care of here, that’s why I’m up this late.

Bai Qianqian: Mm-hmm, if you were out earlier, you should get some sleep. I’m getting a bit sleepy too, planning to sleep now. Do you have any new arrangements recently? That drama of yours should be finished filming, right?

Su Xin: I got a lead female role, filming will start soon.

Bai Qianqian: Wow, cool. I’m planning to advance through movies first, as for TV dramas, I’ll go for them when there’s a chance.

Bai Qianqian had no feelings of envy or jealousy towards Su Xin. Having connections was her ability, and she wouldn’t forget that her early escape from that place and having such good opportunities now were all created by Su Xin.

Su Xin: Mm-hmm, okay.

Chu Qiu saw her lover chatting on the phone with that person again, and couldn’t help feeling jealous. It was the middle of the night, yet still chatting away – chat chat chat, what’s there to talk about!

Even if she was a lifesaver, there’s no need to be this close, right? Don’t they see what time it is? Just go to sleep already.

“You seem very close to her.”

“Of course, she’s my lifesaver, naturally I need to be close to her.”

“Are you always chatting online? Though it seems you don’t meet much in reality.”

“She… is allergic to hamster fur. She gets scared seeing my true form, and if I get close to her, she develops allergic symptoms, or gets severe sneezing fits.”

What could she do? She felt desperate too.

But this was fine too, she didn’t plan to stay with her lover every moment anyway, though that wasn’t realistic.

Chu Qiu wanted to laugh but couldn’t let it out, so she held it in.

Somehow, hearing that person was allergic to her lover gave her a small feeling of happiness.

Wolves are very loyal animals, they have only one mate in their lifetime.

Wolves are one of the oldest and most resilient species on Earth, they usually appear in groups, coordinating tacitly with each other, cooperating closely, and thus are very loyal.

Wolves are also very persistent animals, they succeed because they possess an unwavering spirit, their purpose is very pure, simply the desire and yearning for success.

In Chu Qiu’s heart, there were some hidden thoughts that couldn’t see the light of day. Sometimes when looking at her lover, she would have an impulse to imprison her, not for abuse of course, but just wanting to build a large cage, then lock herself and her lover inside together, so the world would only have the two of them, no one else could interfere.

Chu Qiu wouldn’t have such thoughts when she was with her pack, because betrayal didn’t exist between them, but the human world was too different, their emotions seemed very rich, and also very complex.

“Didn’t you ask about my wish before? At that time I said I had no wishes, but I might have one, would you help me fulfill it?”

“Tell me.”

“I hope she can stand at the top of the entertainment circle, that’s my wish.”

“Alright. But I have something I must tell you.”

“What?”

“I’m jealous.”

The next morning when Su Xin got up to brush her teeth, she saw the marks on her body in the mirror – wasn’t her lover a wolf not a dog? This was really too much.

Time-travel dramas have been popular for a long time now, most being alternate universe settings or Qing Dynasty travels, or traveling to other countries.

Audiences really love watching time-travel dramas, and time-travel remains an evergreen theme in novels, but how the time travel works and how interesting it is depends on the script’s quality and the director’s ability.

The time-travel drama Su Xin accepted was an alternate universe setting, focusing on household and palace struggles, about how a concubine’s daughter rises to become the empress of a nation.

However inspiring it could be, however face-slapping it could be, however Mary Sue it could be.

The female lead is the unloved Sixth Miss, a concubine’s daughter in the Prime Minister’s mansion, who is badly bullied, has toxic aesthetics, wears garish clothes daily, applies bright red rouge, and is rumored to be shamelessly pursuing the current Third Prince.

The protagonist dies after being tricked by household maids into falling into a pond, but when she opens her eyes again, the soul in this body is no longer that useless Sixth Miss, but rather a modern strong woman, a politician with a clever mind and quick thinking.

While reading the script, Su Xin felt like she was reading a cliché novel, just like those Mary Sue stories from those years, typical face-slapping plot, a sparrow becoming a phoenix, formulaic writing.

But it was undeniably satisfying, following the female lead’s story really gave a thrilling feeling.

What made Su Xin feel it wasn’t so brainless was the female lead’s attitude towards herself.

In previous Mary Sue stories, the female lead would always tell her close servants not to bow to her, not to be too mindful of status hierarchy, just treat each other as equal sisters, thus making those servants grateful, winning them over to become loyal followers.

Su Xin felt these plot points were somewhat nonsensical. Putting aside status differences, when facing one’s subordinates, the method of winning them over was never through closeness, but through intimidation.

The female lead had a timid servant who had followed her since childhood, who never helped bully the female lead and was very good to her, but had a cowardly nature and was often bullied by other maids, making them quite the pitiful master-servant duo.

When the female lead first arrived in the other world, she first used her quick wit and excellent eloquence, along with her naturally commanding presence, successfully intimidating her close maid, then using clever methods to subdue all the servants in her quarters one by one, making them not dare to misbehave.

Rather than giving them gold and silver treasures to make them obedient, it was better to gift them poison – human greed knows no bounds, some greed is endless, so holding their lives in one’s grasp was a faster and more effective method.

The later plot involves the female lead face-slapping that prince, then falling in love with the emperor, though the love comes later, because by then the female lead had already started shining brilliantly in the capital. The emperor had previously hidden his identity and had coincidental encounters with the female lead, seeing she was a talented girl whose vision wasn’t limited to just a small area, so the emperor brought her into the imperial harem, and the female lead expressed willingness to share the emperor’s burdens. Later, after a series of trials, they ended up together.

The plot naturally included many indispensable second and third male leads who admired the female lead. Su Xin spent some time reading the script from start to finish, there were quite a few plot holes, but this was an alternate universe story, some plots were quite far-fetched, but the director and screenwriter didn’t mind – it was meant to be imaginative, as long as the audience liked it.

Overall, it was still a good feel-good story, with well-developed emotional entanglements. This TV drama was quite long at seventy or eighty episodes, but Su Xin had a feeling it would be popular. Although filming hadn’t started yet, once it was produced, it would likely broadcast on the currently popular Star TV, becoming famous across the country was just a matter of time, and naturally her future as the female lead was bright.

The future, just thinking about it was wonderful.
