Plan A
Spirit Alliance 8
White Wolf
In the script, there was a lady who was despised by all the women around her. After her husband, a gambling addict, died, the people around her accused her of being the murderer. Someone dragged her to court for trial, but the lady wasn’t actually the culprit. Some men wanted to speak up for her but were stopped by their wives.
Only one person stood up to say a few words in the lady’s defense at that time, but she had no evidence, so everyone shot her down.
Su Xin wanted to recommend Bai Qianqian for this role, though she wasn’t sure if it had been confirmed yet.
Su Xin called Ling Tian to tell him about her script choice and ask whether that role had been finalized by the production team.
But when she called, she found the line was busy and couldn’t get through.
It was getting late, so Su Xin thought about it and decided to call Ling Tian again in half an hour. If Ling Tian saw her missed call during that time, he would probably call back.
At 10:30 PM.
Su Xin tried calling again, but found the line was still busy.
Had he been on the phone for that long?
Su Xin decided to call Chu Qiu, and surprisingly, the call was answered immediately.
“Boss, I wanted to ask…”
“Xinghang Club 4609, come pick me up, quickly.”
The background noise seemed very chaotic, and Chu Qiu’s voice carried impatience as she hung up the phone abruptly.
Su Xin quickly got up from bed. Her hair was already cut short, so she only needed to brush it briefly to look presentable.
“Cousin, I’m going out for a while, stay home properly.”
Su Xin had bought Yangyang a small nest with some toys inside, though rats probably didn’t need toys much.
“Alright, no problem. I’ll watch the house well, and if anything happens, I’ll call you.”
Su Xin had also bought Yangyang a small electronic watch that could make calls. Yangyang was actually very clever and understood how to call her after just one demonstration.
Su Xin was being precautious – if anything really happened, Yangyang could call her, and others wouldn’t know where Yangyang was hiding or what was being said.
After all, when they communicated, Su Xin could understand directly what was translated into human language, but to human ears, they would only hear the “squeak squeak” sounds of a rat.
Sitting in the club, Chu Qiu felt like she was about to explode. These situations were unavoidable – business was often conducted over drinks, especially since she was a woman. Those executives particularly enjoyed making her drink, seeming especially pleased when they saw her getting close to intoxication.
Chu Qiu carried a powerful aura, and generally, people didn’t dare to get too out of hand. Everyone drinking and talking together appeared harmonious, but later someone got drunk and called in some professional drinking companions. Chu Qiu refused the male companions and coldly played with her wine glass.
The alcohol, loud music, unavoidable business negotiations, and people’s laughter combined into what felt like a biochemical weapon.
Though Chu Qiu appeared cold on the surface, she was actually extremely agitated inside, almost wanting to transform into her true form and tear everyone here to pieces. But she knew such actions would have severe consequences. She took a sip of ice water, trying hard to calm herself down.
Just then, a phone call came in. She was already holding her phone and, seeing the caller ID, immediately answered.
It was good that it was someone of her own kind. She didn’t care what they wanted to say – getting out of here was the priority.
So before the little hamster could even begin speaking, she immediately gave her location and hung up before anyone could pay attention to her call.
Su Xin called her driver, urging them to come pick her up. While there might be many taxis outside, they wouldn’t appear at the entrance of such a high-end neighborhood, as everyone typically had their own private cars.
Su Xin was so urgent when calling the driver that they arrived within ten minutes.
“Quick, to Xinghang Club.”
The boss’s tone didn’t sound good – could something have happened?
Master Fourteen, please monitor the situation there and see if anything’s wrong.
【Monitoring now. Nothing’s wrong – she’s holding a wine glass, drinking and talking with others.】
Master Fourteen answered Su Xin’s question very quickly.
Alright.
“Don’t be too hasty, it’s nothing particularly serious. Don’t run red lights – just get there as fast as legally possible. We’re going to pick up the boss.”
This driver was directly employed by the boss, and Chu Qiu’s orders took precedence over Su Xin’s. Hearing this, he quietly increased his speed within limits.
They quickly arrived at Xinghang Club, one of the city’s most exclusive establishments. It was where the wealthy and powerful came to spend their money, offering first-class service, dining, and security – with prices to match.
Su Xin arrived at the entrance, where two attendants bowed to her.
Though Su Xin didn’t have a membership card for this club, she benefited from the high-end clothing Chu Qiu had bought her and her attractive face, though partially hidden behind sunglasses.
Su Xin was very conscious of her status as a public figure, knowing that in two weeks she would face a storm of publicity. Entering such places would inevitably invite criticism.
Undeniably, people are inherently good, but sometimes they don’t hesitate to direct their worst malice toward others.
In Su Xin’s current situation, once she became public, there would inevitably be rumors about her being a kept woman [包養 | bāo yǎng | financial support in exchange for companionship], as the circumstances appeared that way.
It wasn’t that people were inherently evil and thus made such malicious assumptions. Rather, it was a form of toxic jealousy – if given the same opportunity, many of these critics might accept it themselves. They only stood on moral high ground because they lacked such opportunities.
Not that being kept was necessarily right, Su Xin just believed that if such arrangements didn’t harm others, it was purely between the keeper and the kept, no one else’s business.
If the patron wasn’t married or committed to anyone else, and the kept person had no relationship complications, with both parties willing and the arrangement being mutually beneficial – how did that concern anyone else?
Su Xin successfully entered the club, took the elevator to the fourth floor, and found room 4609.
At the door, Su Xin called Chu Qiu.
“Excuse me, I need to take this call.”
Chu Qiu put down her wine glass and waved her phone at the man beside her.
“No problem, go ahead.”
“Boss, I’m waiting at the door. Should I knock?”
Su Xin asked, unsure of the situation inside, though she knew it was a large private room likely full of people.
“No need. Wait there, I’ll come out and leave with you.”
Chu Qiu hung up, clearly speaking as a superior to subordinate.
“Sorry, Chairman Chen, my subordinate needs me for something. I’m afraid I can’t drink with you anymore today. Regarding our cooperation that we’ve discussed at length – what do you think?”
Though Chu Qiu had been plied with drinks, her eyes remained clear and sharp, her cheeks only slightly flushed, unlike the others who were clearly intoxicated with red faces.
“Boss Chu is truly a busy person, handling work even at this hour. No worries, no worries. It’s been a pleasure. Shall we sign the contract tomorrow?”
“No problem. Looking forward to working together.”
Chu Qiu politely extended her hand. The man shook it, his finger inappropriately lingering across her palm.
Chu Qiu withdrew her hand without reaction, picked up her bag from the sofa, bid farewell to everyone, and walked out.
One look at Chu Qiu and Su Xin knew something was wrong. Though she maintained a normal appearance, there was an uncontrollable green glint flickering in her eyes – anyone making eye contact would surely be terrified.
“Bathroom first. Follow me. I’m almost at my limit.”
Despite her words, Chu Qiu’s expression remained ice-cold, showing no weakness.
“Okay.”
Some people show effects of alcohol quickly, but those who show effects quickly often don’t get truly drunk easily. Those who don’t show immediate effects often get drunk faster.
Chu Qiu was the latter type.
Her body structure was different from humans, with limited alcohol tolerance. She had trained herself over many years – not because she feared being taken advantage of while drunk, but because she feared that if someone approached her with ill intent while she was intoxicated, she might feel threatened and involuntarily transform back to her original form and tear them to pieces.
She was, after all, a true wolf, a carnivore.
Chu Qiu was now violently sick in one of the bathrooms. Su Xin listened uncomfortably from outside – why would a spirit torture herself like this? Why did money matter so much to her?
Spirits typically valued pleasure more than humans did, rarely calculating or planning carefully. Most lived day by day, pursuing comfort above all else, yet Chu Qiu seemed to have completely objectified herself into a human.
Chu Qiu came out of the bathroom, rinsed her mouth at the sink, and wiped her face with tissue paper.
She never wore makeup, always appearing natural, at most using Miss Snail skincare products.
The brand she slowly created was called Miss Snail, named in the same straightforward style as Old Pig.
“Let’s go. Have your driver take me home.”
Chu Qiu said, and Su Xin nodded.
Chu Qiu left the club and got into Su Xin’s car.
“Take the boss to her home first.”
“Where does the boss live?”
The driver asked.
“Boss, where’s your home?”
Su Xin turned to ask, feeling her shoulder suddenly weighed down.
Chu Qiu had passed out.
Squeak squeak squeak????
Probably just drunk – her breathing was normal, and she hadn’t reverted to her original form. It didn’t seem like anything serious had happened.
“Wait a moment, let me make a call first.”
Su Xin called Ling Tian, only to find his phone wasn’t just busy this time – it was completely turned off.
What happened to being available 24 hours?!
Su Xin had no choice but to call her only remaining contact, Assistant Miss Rabbit.
“Sorry, the number you’ve dialed is powered off, please try again later…”
????
What was going on today? Why were both unreachable? This shouldn’t happen – they were both busy professionals who needed to keep their phones on at all times in case of emergencies.
Like this current situation – she didn’t even know where the boss lived.
Hmmmm… Master Fourteen, could you check what these two are doing? Why aren’t they answering their phones?
【No need to check separately – they’re currently engaged in adult activities together.】
Ah, I understand now.
Huh, Miss Rabbit was quite brave indeed, daring to get intimate with a tiger?
It would be too heartless to interrupt their private moment.
“The boss is drunk and I don’t know where she lives. Please drive back to my neighborhood first. I’ll take her to my place, and when I call you tomorrow morning, you can come pick me up.”
“Yes, Miss Su.”
Su Xin had already removed her sunglasses in the car, setting them aside. She adjusted her position to let Chu Qiu lie on her lap.
The driver returned to the residential complex at the same speed as before.
The driver helped support Chu Qiu as she got out, and Su Xin took over, holding her close.
“I can handle it from here. You can go home now – I’ll get her inside.”
“Good night, Miss Su.”
The driver was a sturdy 1.8-meter tall young man who looked more like a bodyguard than a driver.
Su Xin supported Chu Qiu into the building, took the elevator home, and unlocked the door with her fingerprint.
One small lamp was still lit in the living room, with Yangyang waiting nearby for Su Xin’s return.
“Cousin, please press the hot water button on the water dispenser.”
Su Xin said while supporting Chu Qiu.
“Right away!”
Yangyang quickly scurried out, climbed up the cabinet to the water dispenser, pressed the hot water button on the back, and darted back after completing the task.
After seeing the indicator light on, Su Xin continued supporting Chu Qiu to the guest room.
Though the apartment was single-story, it was quite spacious with several well-maintained rooms.
Su Xin struggled somewhat supporting Chu Qiu, finally managing to get her onto the bed, then rubbed her own shoulder.
The boss seemed completely passed out. No need to be overly kind and help her bathe – that might end in a bathroom disaster.
Su Xin helped remove Chu Qiu’s formal jacket and tucked her under the covers. It was autumn after all – sleeping without covers could easily lead to a cold.
Just as Su Xin covered her and turned to leave, taking barely two steps, she heard the sound of tearing clothes.
Su Xin turned around to find a wolf lying on her guest room bed.
It was a snow-white wolf, beautiful, with haunting green eyes that commanded attention.
Su Xin swallowed hard – had she transformed? Was she awake?
How was she supposed to face a wolf with her current body?
The wolf was massive, taking up more than half of the two-meter bed, appearing incredibly large.
Wolves typically don’t exceed 160 centimeters in length when on all fours, and are extremely fierce.
The wolf leaped from the bed, suddenly appearing before Su Xin.
Su Xin was calmly considering her chances of escape if she transformed into a hamster – the boss clearly wasn’t in a normal state.
The gleam in those ethereal green eyes wasn’t one of hunger, so at least she could rule out the possibility of being eaten.
“Boss, are you still conscious?”
Su Xin attempted to communicate.
The white wolf just stared at her intently, making no sound.
Su Xin felt the wolf’s paw land on her shoulder, sharp claws just a hair’s breadth from her cheek.
Boss, any closer and you’ll ruin this face you like so much – there goes your money tree.
“Boss, calm down. Look at me – I’m your money tree! Though I’m just a seed now, believe me, I can grow into a towering tree.”
Su Xin said stiffly, trying her best to communicate.
She was a bit scared, given the face-to-face confrontation.
Whether the white wolf understood her words or not, it slowly removed its paw from her shoulder.
Good.
“Boss, you’re in my home now. Just lie back down on the bed and sleep, good night.”
Su Xin stepped back two paces, hand on the doorknob.
A low wolf growl expressed displeasure, but Su Xin didn’t care about its mood – she was ready to slip out.
Before Su Xin could press the handle, she considered whether her agility would let her open the door inward, get out, and close it before the wolf could react.
Thinking about it, that seemed impossible – the odds weren’t good.
“Boss, is there something else?”
Su Xin decided to try communicating again, unsure if the wolf was still conscious, given that Chu Qiu had passed out drunk earlier.
A moist sensation came from her thigh as the white wolf dropped to all fours, nuzzling against her leg.
What kind of move was this? Did it want to test whether she’d really transform into a hamster and run?
Su Xin’s pants were caught in the wolf’s teeth, pulling her toward the bed.
Wanted company to sleep?
The white wolf seemed to want exactly that. Su Xin lay on the bed, and the wolf jumped up, placing a paw on her waist in a very human-like manner.
Su Xin didn’t want to share a bed with a wolf, especially one she barely knew. She quickly transformed into a small hamster, slipping out of her clothes, planning to sneak away.
The wolf’s paw mercilessly pinned down the small hamster. Su Xin lay there, feeling hopeless about her rodent life.
This situation was even worse than before, so Su Xin expressionlessly transformed back, though this time without clothes.
The wolf contentedly placed its paw back on Su Xin’s waist. Su Xin sighed deeply – whatever, might as well accept it.
Su Xin had Master Fourteen play movies in her mind until she felt sleepy.
Yangyang was still waiting on the living room sofa, watching the water dispenser. The water had boiled, but why hadn’t anyone come out?
Yangyang waited until drowsy but still didn’t see Su Xin emerge.
Cousin, the water has boiled several times already.
Yangyang approached the guest room door, planning to squeeze through to remind them, but the gap was too small to enter, so it had to give up.
The next morning when Su Xin woke, she found herself curled up in the wolf’s embrace.
The autumn night had been too cold to sleep without covers, so she had unconsciously sought warmth, and the wolf’s thick fur was cozy, resulting in their current position.
The white wolf opened its eyes then, looking at the naked girl in its embrace.
“Boss, you’re finally awake. I can explain – this is a misunderstanding.”
Su Xin crawled out of the wolf’s embrace, grabbing her clothes from the bed and putting them on.
“Did I drink too much yesterday?”
The white wolf on the bed transformed into a sensual, languid woman, her voice morning-husky, stirring the heart.
“Yes, you passed out in the car.”
Su Xin, now fully dressed, looked at the naked Chu Qiu and lifted the covers, cleaning up the shredded clothing pieces underneath.
Chu Qiu gave Su Xin a complex look, while Su Xin returned a bewildered gaze.
“Boss, I’ll call to have clothes sent over. What’s your size?”
“No need, I’ll call myself later.”
“Oh, alright. I have unopened toiletries and unused clean towels. I’ll put them in the bathroom for you.”
“Okay.”
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll go prepare those things for you.”
“Wait…”
“Hmm?”
Su Xin turned back, holding the ruined clothes, and noticed the snow-white beauty unconsciously lowering her gaze. Wow, nice – both the shape and color looked good.
“Were you hurt at all last night?”
“No, I’m fine. Boss, you just had your wolf paw on my waist all night, nothing else happened.”
That was true, though there was also that episode where she transformed into her original form but still couldn’t escape the wolf’s paw.
“That’s good… I probably drank far too much last night, and there must have been something in that alcohol that made me lose consciousness. I’m surprised… Because when I return to my original form, I’m usually extremely agitated and unable to control my violent nature, wanting to tear everything around me to pieces. But last night nothing happened here, and I slept so comfortably – a comfort I haven’t felt in a very, very long time.”
Since becoming a spirit, she had hardly ever slept well. She couldn’t remember what was in her dreams after waking – no impression at all – but remembered the feeling of intense torment. Being a powerful spirit meant that even with poor sleep, she wouldn’t show obvious signs of fatigue. But last night she had slept exceptionally peacefully, and even after reverting to her original form, she hadn’t displayed any destructive behavior.
The previous time she lost consciousness and reverted to her original form was in front of Ling Tian. He was taking her home when she was drunk, but when they reached her villa, she suddenly fainted and transformed.
For Chu Qiu, no matter how dangerous things were outside, she would never faint and would maintain her cold demeanor. But once back in territory she considered safe, she would revert to her true form.
That time when she transformed into a wolf, she instinctively attacked the person closest to her – Ling Tian.
As a tiger spirit, Ling Tian naturally had impressive fighting abilities. Unable to awaken her consciousness, he had no choice but to fight her.
Ling Tian was severely injured, and Chu Qiu wasn’t much better off. Only then did the tiger truly respect her from the bottom of his heart, which was what Chu Qiu had expected.
After that fight, the villa was in a terrible state, and Chu Qiu became even more restrained and controlled.
“Is that so… Then… congratulations?”
What else could Su Xin say?
“Put down those clothes and come here.”
Chu Qiu commanded calmly.
Su Xin set down the clothing fragments and approached, drawing near to the dangerously alluring naked woman on the bed.
Su Xin felt her hair stand on end – an animal’s instinctive response to danger.
“Don’t be afraid.”
A gentle touch, fingers burning hot, caressed from her cheek to her chin.
