Plan A
Interstellar Guardian 16
Xika
“A friend?”
Renee kept asking.
“Boss, I don’t want to repeat what I just said.”
Su Xin knew that she was now acting out of character, as Ge Wei wouldn’t talk like this, at least not to Renee.
“Sorry.”
Renee’s lips turned down as she apologized softly, feeling she might have overstepped, whether as a friend or as a boss.
But… they clearly had… some other interactions.
It seemed like once they left that planet, things went back to the way they were, but not entirely; at least Su Xin’s attitude toward her was different.
Renee felt that things weren’t quite as she expected. To be honest, she hadn’t planned this out; on that planet, she thought to take it slow, settle things first, wait until everything was sorted out, and the storm passed, so they could slowly move forward together.
But Renee realized that maybe she was just imagining things on her own.
Su Xin didn’t seem to think that their previous closeness meant there was any relationship between them, meaning there was no need to be responsible, maybe because the other person was an alpha?
Renee felt a bit confused, a bit annoyed but also somewhat relieved.
She was relieved that Su Xin wasn’t someone clingy, so she didn’t have to take on other responsibilities before handling her own matters, but also annoyed at Su Xin’s indifferent attitude.
Renee pulled her thoughts back and returned to her usual cold demeanor.
“Come down later to eat, Mia is preparing for us.”
“Nutri-paste? Away from those insects, there’s nothing delicious anymore.”
Su Xin seemed a bit uninterested.
“Not nutri-paste, for people from C1 Star, that’s a luxury.”
Renee’s voice had a hint of sarcasm as she spoke about C1 Star.
Renee left Su Xin’s room, gently closing the door.
Su Xin lounged crookedly on the soft sofa. The room looked like it was hastily tidied, not very thoughtfully, but as long as there was a place to stay, it was fine. Su Xin got up and tidied it up a bit herself.
She really didn’t like nutri-paste, preferring grilled meat, but Su Xin admitted the necessity of this stuff. It takes little time to eat, fills you up well, lasts long, and is very convenient. The military uses it entirely, and the nobles or high society people find ways to get different flavors, like in Renee’s home. However, on C1 Star, these are considered luxury items, so what do they eat?
The original host’s family was quite decent, at least they could afford nutri-paste. A child could live on one bottle for three to four days, an adult for one day, so basically, they grew up drinking nutri-paste. In the original host’s memories, there really wasn’t any other food to eat.
Some people on C1 Star have the wealth to buy nutri-paste but lack the status, so they purchase it on the black market.
The design of nutri-paste is very scientific, containing the nutrients and water humans need. Water resources are not particularly scarce, as humans can already make water themselves. Su Xin never drank it; under the nutri-paste, she didn’t crave water. In the days at the insect beast camp, the meat of the insect beasts seemed to be rich in water, at least she didn’t feel thirsty during those days.
Su Xin recalled that since she arrived here, she hadn’t really drunk a sip of water, although she did encounter water when bathing or washing hands.
After roughly tidying the room, it didn’t look so unpleasant. Su Xin didn’t have much luggage; she was still wearing the clothes from the day she arrived. Su Xin sniffed herself, not much of a smell, but after several days, she felt a bit disgusted.
Su Xin knew about Renee’s past and naturally had a rough understanding of this planet. Her feelings about this place were half love, half hate—free yet evil. If she had to survive here, Su Xin felt she might be more comfortable than in the military.
When Su Xin went downstairs, there were already four people sitting at the dining table. Su Xin took a seat and looked at the things in front of her, raising an eyebrow in surprise; it was actually meat.
It looked like something similar to steak, a whole piece, covered in sauce, and it seemed pretty good.
“Hello, my name is Lanna.”
The young man, who looked quite elegant, gestured toward Su Xin. His emerald green eyes held a gentle green hue that made one feel a natural liking towards him.
“Su Xin.”
Su Xin succinctly gave her name. She had a good impression of this young man named Lanna but was well aware that he was probably not a harmless person.
Everyone had the same items in front of them, except for Renee’s. Renee’s plate had green vegetables, and a whole plate of it.
“Mia, honestly, you’d be better off giving me black bread. You know I’m not very fond of this stuff.”
Lanna cut his piece of meat gloomily and chewed it in his mouth.
“If there’s food, you should shut your mouth. This meat isn’t easy to get, you know. Do you want me to shove it into your mouth, my dear Lanna?”
Mia was using a specially made high chair, allowing him to be at the same height as everyone else.
The small boy had a smile on his fair face, holding a piece of meat on his fork, and it seemed that if Lanna said one more word, he would indeed stand up and shove it into Lanna’s mouth.
Renee ate her greens with a blank expression, glancing lightly at Mia and Lanna. The big one and the small one stopped exchanging looks. Moran ate quietly like a mouse, not making a sound.
She had a resistance and dislike for this place, but her feelings were now very conflicted. This was her only refuge at the moment. What surprised her was how familiar General Renee seemed with this place and having such subordinates. Moran felt like the door to a new world was opening for her. Her home was in the B Star System, an ordinary family on an ordinary planet, but she was an orphan. It was precisely because of her identity that she dared to pull off this great deception; even if something went wrong, it wouldn’t affect anyone else.
Su Xin cut a piece of meat and put it in her mouth. It wasn’t very tasty, but it wasn’t awful either. The lack of flavor wasn’t entirely the chef’s fault; the main issue was the ingredient. This beef tasted a bit strange.
【It’s not real beef; there’s no way to raise animals here.】
Fourteen said blandly, adding an analysis.
Indeed, that was true. No wonder the taste was odd—it’s artificial meat.
Humans are really amazing. As long as you give them enough time, their creativity can be astonishing, turning all impossibilities into possibilities.
Su Xin finished eating bit by bit and drank a glass of artificial water placed beside her, feeling incredibly nostalgic for Earth.
Green vegetables must be very rare, yet Mia managed to get a plate for Renee. Tsk.
Renee slowly finished her plate of vegetables. Su Xin, a carnivore, didn’t feel anything, and Moran sighed but had no other reaction.
“Mia, she’s in your hands.”
Renee looked at Moran, who seemed a bit confused.
“Show her the world and teach her how to survive on C1 Star. In five days, I want to see results.”
“Yes.”
Mia nodded obediently and gave Moran a mischievous smile. To Moran, that angelic face was full of malice, but she felt relieved inside. This was the best way; she had to quickly adapt here and definitely not cause trouble for the General.
Mia glanced at Su Xin and then looked away. Since the General didn’t mention this person, there was no need to ask. This person seemed to be adapting quite well, at least not showing an obvious air of righteousness that didn’t fit in.
Renee and Su Xin exchanged a glance. Su Xin gave her a smile, full of mischief and laziness, with a sense of casual ease, and Renee understood her meaning.
“For the next few days, just stay here. If you get bored, you can go out for a walk, but of course, don’t cause trouble.”
Su Xin nodded, seeming very obedient.
Mia and Lanna lived on the first floor. Su Xin went upstairs and asked Renee where she could take a bath and if there were any clothes to change into. Renee had bathed before dinner, and when Su Xin went downstairs, she saw Renee had already changed into a new set of clothes, her hair still damp.
Renee took out a set of clothes that Mia had prepared for her and handed them to Su Xin.
“Never worn.”
“Even if they were worn, it’s no big deal. After all, not everyone has the honor to wear clothes that the General has worn.”
Su Xin joked, her tone much more relaxed, no longer as respectful as at the beginning, and instead with a hint of ambiguity.
Renee responded with a “hmm,” and closed the door.
After washing up, Su Xin lay down on the bed and had a sweet sleep. When she woke up, Renee had already left, and she didn’t know where she went. Mia and Moran were also gone. Only Lanna was sitting on the sofa on the first floor, reading a thick book.
Su Xin curiously glanced at the book in his hands. It had a black cover with no title. She looked away and ate the breakfast left for her on the dining table. It wasn’t delicious, but it was edible. These people were probably used to it, having never tasted anything better, so they were easier to satisfy.
“Aren’t you going out?”
“I’m staying here to wait for you. If you want to go out for a walk, you can take me with you. I can be your guide.”
Lanna closed the book in his hands and spoke warmly, his attitude very gentle.
He was clearly there to keep an eye on her, to prevent her from wandering around aimlessly, yet he said it in such a pleasant way.
Su Xin nodded and tidied her slightly messy hair.
“I want to go for a walk.”
“Just wait a moment.”
Lanna took his book back to his room and came out shortly after.
“C1 Star has many factions; don’t underestimate anyone, including the small fry.”
Lanna spoke slowly, his voice pleasant to listen to.
“Okay.”
“Where do you want to go now? Left or right, it’s up to you.”
“Left.”
Su Xin headed to the left, and Lanna walked beside her, keeping in step with her.
Su Xin wasn’t concerned about where Renee had gone because she knew Renee would certainly be fine. Although C1 Star is dangerous, for Renee, it should actually be safer here compared to Central Star, which is chaotic and thus more free.
This is a very interesting place, Su Xin thought. It’s a pity she can’t move around alone for now, but since this place is so unfamiliar, having a guide is actually very good.
If she had the chance to survive after the mission, settling down here would be a nice choice.
The surrounding area looked like a junkyard, though not the kind with household trash. Discarded, damaged iron and other large, unidentified materials were scattered everywhere. The ground was hard and black, with a faint fishy smell in the air.
Su Xin turned back to take another look at the house she had just stayed in. The more she looked at it, the stranger it seemed. It didn’t match a normal person’s aesthetic, as if several designers’ different works were forcibly glued together.
“What’s wrong?”
Lanna had been watching Su Xin’s actions and noticed her staring at their house with a strange expression.
“Did you build this house yourselves?”
“Of course, on C1 Star, there’s no one kind enough to help you. You have to be self-reliant. This is something Mia and I built together. Isn’t it unique?”
Lanna’s expression held a faint pride, and Su Xin nodded, though her image of Lanna slightly crumbled in her mind.
Not far away, a fight was taking place.
Lanna looked at Su Xin, who was standing with her arms crossed, watching the scene with amusement. Interesting, was this person really a soldier stationed at the border before? It didn’t seem like it. There was no evident aura of righteousness, unlike the other girl.
Logically, someone who hasn’t been on C1 Star would feel resistant upon arrival, but this person adapted well. Could it be her true nature?
The two fighting were a long-haired girl in black, wielding a weapon resembling a Japanese sword, and a middle-aged man with a similar cold weapon (cold weapons refer to traditional weapons like swords and knives, as opposed to firearms).
“Here, whoever has a laser weapon is the boss. They’re hard to get, and there’s someone controlling them from above, but sometimes cold weapons are still more convenient.”
Lanna spoke up, noting how those arms dealers were indeed very greedy. The best laser guns were sold at high prices, and even the inferior ones were expensive, marked up several times. The Federation already had strict control over firearms, so people on C1 Star had no other channels if they didn’t buy from those people.
Su Xin thought about her portable laser gun, currently under her pillow, and raised an eyebrow. No matter when, weapons were always a good thing, at least for her.
If Renee wanted to get these things, it shouldn’t be hard, and Lanna didn’t seem too concerned when mentioning them.
The fight wasn’t very intense; it was more of a one-sided domination. The middle-aged man was no match for the girl in black. The girl ended the fight coldly by stabbing her long sword into the man’s abdomen.
“Have you seen enough?”
The girl took a handkerchief from her pocket and, with her head down, quietly wiped her sword, speaking in a low voice.
Su Xin knew she had noticed them, and they hadn’t planned on hiding.
“Sika, your sword skills have improved again.”
Lanna stepped forward, sincerely praising the girl.
“Lanna, your friend?”
Sika squinted her eyes, recognizing Lanna, then turned to look at Su Xin, as if trying to memorize her face.
“Uh-huh, a partner. It’s rare, Sika, that you finally recognize me instead of asking who I am.”
Lanna said, quite surprised.
“We just met yesterday.”
Sika noted that her memory was quite good and glanced at Su Xin again. Friends and partners are different. Had this person been on C1 Star before?
“In fact, there was once when we met twice within half an hour, and you still couldn’t recognize me.”
Lanna mercilessly pointed out.
“You smell the same as yesterday, and you seem happy.”
“Yes, that’s right.”
Lanna said cheerfully.
“You have a nice scent.”
Sika stopped wiping her sword and stared at Su Xin, sniffing a bit.
“Huh? Are you talking about the shower gel smell? I think it smells nice too.”
Su Xin fibbed, although the shower gel she used was actually unscented.
“No, it’s the smell from your heart.”
Sika said this as she put her sword back into its sheath and walked over.
She leaned in closer, and Su Xin got a clear look at her appearance. She was a very delicate girl, with a face as pretty as a finely crafted doll, but a scar on her right cheek gave her a slightly scary look. Su Xin noticed that Sika’s eyes were light and somewhat hollow. When she stared at her, it felt like a large, lifelike doll was looking at her, which was quite odd.
Also, what does “the smell from your heart” mean? Is that even a thing?
“This is the Ghost Girl Sika, and this is Su Xin.”
Lanna introduced them, smiling as he mentioned Sika’s nickname.
“Su Xin.”
Sika repeated the name twice, moving even closer, and Su Xin discreetly shifted away to maintain a safe distance.
But in the next moment, she felt someone right behind her, a soft breath on the back of her neck, making Su Xin’s body instantly tense. Her instinctive counterattack missed the mark.
“It really does smell nice. Your scent changed. Are you unhappy?”
Sika muttered to herself, somehow now standing beside her.
A moment ago, she was in front of her, then suddenly behind her, and now beside her, moving like a ghost.
【There are no supernatural elements in this world, so rest assured, Host.】
Fourteen said, noting that in some worlds, certain elements might overlap, but there are definitely no ghosts in this world.
This speed is scarier than alpha’s, and even though Su Xin was always on guard, she still got close to her.
“Probably no one would be happy being approached like this by a stranger.”
Su Xin said with a blank expression. This girl is so strange; what on earth does “the scent changed” mean?
“Then next time, should I ask you, ‘Can I come closer now?'”
Sika blinked, asking sincerely.
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Don’t like it.”
“Sika, since when did you become so forward with people? We’ve known each other for so long, and you’ve never said you wanted to come close and sniff me.”
Lanna said somewhat resentfully, walking over to separate Su Xin and Sika.
“You don’t smell good.”
Sika said disdainfully, pouting.
“…What’s up with you? Did you get into trouble? Why is someone trying to hit you?”
Lanna paused for a few seconds, awkwardly changing the subject.
“A minor issue, it’s already solved. I’m leaving now, see you another day. Where do you live, can I come visit you?”
Sika said goodbye to Lanna, then immediately asked Su Xin this question.
“No.”
Su Xin coldly refused. She couldn’t figure this girl out; she was too strange. Moreover, her current identity was inconvenient, and with Renee still around, it was even more inconvenient. No matter what, refusal was the answer.
“Alright.”
Sika nodded sadly and left with her sword, disappearing at a speed far beyond human capability.
“That’s why she’s called the Ghost Girl. Her movements are like a ghost’s. If she wanted to kill someone, it would be easy. No one knows where she comes from or how she got such skills. Some people on C1 Star once gathered to try and capture her, but they all failed. Everyone’s quite afraid of her, but actually, she’s a bit like a child. She doesn’t aim to do anything big, always keeping to herself and not getting close to anyone. I’m surprised; you just met her, and she already likes you.”
Lanna and Su Xin continued walking forward.
“Sika can’t really remember people—or rather, she recognizes people by the scent of their emotions. It’s quite scary; she can sense if someone is happy or not. Sika says each person’s emotional scent is unique and doesn’t change, even though the same person’s scent varies with different moods. She usually identifies people by this scent, not by their faces, or maybe she just doesn’t remember faces at all.”
Lanna found it strange as well. Sika is an odd presence; people speculate she might not be human but some kind of experimental creature, though it’s just speculation with no proof.
“Why does she think my scent is nice?”
It’s strange. If Renee thought her scent was nice, it could be due to pheromones, since she also found Renee’s scent pleasant. But she hadn’t released any pheromones just now, and Sika said she smelled emotions.
It’s true that the world is full of wonders, like that giant insect.
“I’d like to know too.”
Lanna also expressed confusion. Sika’s preferences are hard to understand, but Lanna felt a bit worried because Sika is very persistent and thinks differently from normal people.
“You better be cautious. If Sika wants to get close to you, we might not be able to stop her.”
“She seems like she can communicate just fine.”
As Su Xin walked, she saw other buildings.
Lanna didn’t say anything, just silently prayed that during the boss’s time here, no one would cause trouble.
These buildings each had their own unique style, but they looked more normal and aesthetically pleasing than the house designed by Mia and Lanna together. People bustled on both sides of the street, making it seem no different from other places, quite peaceful.
“This area is a safe zone, under the control of some big shot. You don’t need to know whose it is. If you want to trade something, you can come here. But I think you might not have much chance. The boss won’t stay here long, and you’ll need to stay by her side to ensure her safety.”
Lanna felt a bit envious; he also wanted to stay by the boss’s side.
“Of course.”
There wasn’t much scenery here worth exploring, and Lanna wasn’t inclined to show Su Xin deeper parts of C1 Star for a better understanding. He actually hoped Su Xin would stay at home and not move; that would be best. But since she’s a partner and not someone to be guarded, if Renee doesn’t say anything, it wouldn’t be right for him to tell people not to go out.
Su Xin and Lanna returned, and when they got back “home,” they still hadn’t returned.
“If you feel bored, you can borrow books from me to read. The light brain is not available for you to use yet.”
To avoid any unexpected events, such things must be kept away from Su Xin, Moran, and the others.
Su Xin had no objections and declined the offer to borrow books, returning to her room.
Read books? She’d rather have Master Fourteen play movies for her.
While watching movies in her room, Su Xin didn’t know that Renee had already returned.
Lanna was reporting to Renee about Su Xin’s encounter with Sika. Lanna thought that if they could recruit Sika, it would be a great advantage.
“Who is that?”
Renee’s face was tense. How did these strange people appear around Su Xin in such a short time she was away?
Renee considered this part of C1 Star as one of her safe bases, never expecting trouble to arise just a day after bringing someone there.
Lanna explained Sika to Renee. When Sika first appeared, he had already informed Renee. Renee’s reaction was to try to win her over, as at that time, Renee was too occupied to handle it. Despite her interest in this exceptional talent, she hadn’t taken action, mainly because Sika was also unpredictable in her movements.
Over the years, Lanna had been trying to build a good relationship with Sika, but her naturally troublesome nature made it hard to get close to her.
Renee remembered those efforts and didn’t find Lanna’s current description to be exaggerated.
Very strong.
“She said her scent was nice?”
Renee focused on this statement.
“Yes.”
It was indeed a nice scent.
“She didn’t release any pheromones at the time?”
“Yes, Sika said it was the smell from her heart, perhaps meaning her mood, which she can detect.”
Renee’s eyes were calm, her expression thoughtful.
When Su Xin was called downstairs to eat, the atmosphere at the table was different from yesterday.
Mia was sitting in the chair, looking in a very good mood, his face rosy and cheerful. In stark contrast was Moran, sitting next to him, with a pale face. Though she held her knife and fork steadily, it was clear her condition wasn’t good.
Moran’s worldview had been shaken again, while Mia hadn’t thought much about it. Since he was tasked with transforming her, he went all out, choosing the most stimulating methods. At the same time, he told Moran about the dirty secrets of high society, leaving her dazed.
Moran’s personality is somewhat naive, so being suddenly exposed to such intense experiences left her in this state.
Mia wasn’t just trying to show her the ugly side of human nature; he also praised Renee’s greatness, aiming to brainwash her, and taught Moran how to adapt and change.
It’s not that kindness is bad; kindness is, of course, a wonderful quality. It’s just about knowing when and for whom it is appropriate.
Lanna was still the same as always, but Su Xin felt like he was amused, though no one knew what he was amused about.
Renee was also the same as always, with her cold demeanor and unchanged expression, like a copy-paste from yesterday. However, when she glanced at Su Xin, Su Xin felt that the General was in a bit of a bad mood.
What’s up with everyone today?
Today’s meal was still artificial meat, but it had changed in some way, tasting strange. Every time during meals, Su Xin would deeply miss Earth’s delicious food and her friends who made dishes that suited her taste. Even the various flavored creatures on the Insect Beast Star would be better.
Everyone ate quietly until dinner was over. Moran washed the dishes without any objection, looking very virtuous.
After dinner, Su Xin was called into the room by Renee. Su Xin entered with a respectful attitude. Renee was sitting in a chair, watching the flickering light screen suspended in the air.
“Lanna said you met someone today.”
“Yes, she’s very strong.”
Su Xin nodded, speaking seriously. Sika was clearly a speed-type fighter. Her strength was unknown, and her team combat ability seemed obviously lacking, but her ability to take down individual targets was very strong. These were evident just from speculation, without needing actual practice.
“Do you think she’s easy to recruit?”
“If it’s you, boss, it’s very possible.”
“Why do you say that?”
Renee’s lips curved upward. Was this a confirmation of her abilities?
“Because you’re very strong, boss.”
Because you’re a great persuader.
Renee wanted to say something but stopped.
“Go on, that’s all, have a good sleep.”
Renee gave a very slight smile as she watched Su Xin leave, confused.
Su Xin was puzzled. She had just come in for barely two minutes, and Renee called her in just to ask if she was capable and then wanted a compliment?
She couldn’t figure it out.
In the room, Lanna noticed his light brain alerting him to an incoming call request.
“Boss?”
“Find her, so I can talk to her.”
“Can’t Su Xin…?”
Lanna’s voice trailed off as Renee’s expression turned cold.
“No need.”
Why? Lanna wondered. It was clearly the easier way. Sika had shown obvious interest in Su Xin, and he didn’t even know where Sika lived. That girl’s movements were as elusive as a ghost’s; no one could keep up with her.
Lanna would never guess that Renee didn’t want to use Su Xin. Calling it “using” might not be entirely accurate since they were superior and subordinate, and contributing to the boss was expected, right?
Renee didn’t feel that way. She was uncomfortably conflicted. She admitted it was the quickest way. She had just called Su Xin into the room for this reason, but seeing Su Xin’s bewildered look, she suddenly didn’t want to say it.
After all, it’s different, Renee told herself.
It just makes things a bit harder, but it’s not like there’s no other way. She’s not that incapable.
Su Xin returned to her room, sensing something was off.
【There’s someone outside the window.】
Fourteen said as a reminder.
Su Xin immediately looked towards the window. It was pitch black, with nothing there.
Su Xin walked over for a closer look, and suddenly a face appeared in front of her, pressed against the cold window like a lifeless doll, with a very noticeable scar.
This really felt like a scene from a horror movie at night.
Su Xin opened the window, and Sika slipped inside. Su Xin only felt like a breeze had passed, and suddenly this person was standing next to her.
Su Xin had an impulse to grab her, to hold her still. Stop floating around!
“What are you here for?”
“To see you.”
Su Xin, expressionless, thought about throwing this person back out.
“You smell nice.”
Sika’s eyes were somewhat vacant, dreamily looking at Su Xin, drifting closer.
Nice smell, mmp. (This phrase is a casual and frustrated expression, often used to dismiss or downplay the other’s compliment or statement.)
“Are you crazy?”
Su Xin thought that letting Sika in was crazy too. She should have just ignored her, closed the curtains, and gone to sleep.
“You smell nice…”
Sika repeated, suddenly moving closer to Su Xin, wrapping her arms around her, pressing against her back.
Su Xin didn’t find it romantic at all; she even felt like cursing. It was like having a ghostly presence behind her—not pleasant at all.
Very strange. Fourteen, check her out.
【Okay, just a moment.】
Fourteen searched for information and shared it with Su Xin. Both Su Xin and the system fell silent.
Sika indeed thought she smelled nice, but the look in her eyes wasn’t suggestive. It was like she was looking at something she really loved, like seeing an air conditioner on a hot day and wanting to hug it to cool down.
The main thing was, she was interested not just in Su Xin but also in Fourteen inside Su Xin’s mind.
Fourteen: Hesitated to speak.
Sika really wasn’t a normal person. She liked being close to people with strong mental power, which helped her own abilities grow. In this world, who had stronger mental power than Fourteen in Su Xin’s mind? That’s why she found Su Xin very “appealing” and wanted to get close.
Thinking about it that way, having a ghostly presence behind her didn’t seem so hard to accept… yeah, right.
“Get down, get down.”
Su Xin tried to pull Sika away, but Sika didn’t budge, sticking to her as if glued with super strong adhesive.
“Please get down.”
Su Xin was practically gritting her teeth.
“No.”
Sika was even more dazed, feeling so comfortable and pleasant, practically floating in delight, better than inhaling Vita.
Su Xin cursed in her mind, and in a swift move, she tried to throw Sika off, but Sika was so soft that when she fell to the ground, she cleverly pulled Su Xin down with her. Su Xin couldn’t stop herself, and if she tried to turn over to steady herself, her tightly held hands might get hurt.
Does this girl have any bones at all? How is she this soft?
Su Xin was forced to be pressed against Sika, who was blissfully burying her face in Su Xin’s neck, looking more euphoric than someone high on marijuana.
Su Xin took a deep breath and started to struggle her hands free. It wasn’t very hard, but Sika clung to her neck again, nearly making Su Xin choke.
【Host, this might be your most awkward moment.】
Sika was soft, sticky, and light, like a puddle of mud stuck to her. But this closeness didn’t have any other undertones; it was purely a desire to be near.
While Su Xin was thinking about how to get rid of this oversized baby-like girl, she heard a knock on the door.
“Come in!”
Whoever it was, if they could help pull this girl off her, it would be good.
The door opened, and it was Renee.
Renee saw the situation in the room, and her expression immediately darkened. The scene reflected in her eyes made her feel gloomy, and she exuded an aura of displeasure.
The current scene was indeed a bit hard to look at, but Su Xin was so focused on wrestling with Sika that she didn’t notice how ambiguous their position looked.
Su Xin was on top of Sika, with Sika’s arms wrapped around Su Xin’s neck, looking like she was on cloud nine. Both of their clothes were a bit messy but not undone. To Renee, it looked like they were about to kiss.
“Boss, help me.”
Su Xin called out to Renee for help, wondering if this girl really had super strong glue on her.
“Hmm? You look like you’re enjoying it.”
“Not at all, help me pull her off.”
Su Xin continued to tug at Sika’s clothes, feeling frustrated at how limp she was.
Renee walked over and pulled Su Xin away from Sika’s grip. Sika didn’t resist much and let go. Her expression returned to normal, and she coldly looked at Renee.
Renee knew who she was and straightforwardly lifted her up, not giving Sika a chance to draw a weapon, opened the door, threw her out, and then slammed the door shut.
To hell with it.
Renee called Lanna on the light brain and asked him to come to the second floor to take care of her.
Why could Renee lift her so easily, but I couldn’t? That makes me even more frustrated.
【Because they are both within the rules of this world. Renee’s mental power is stronger than hers, so she can suppress her.】
Am I weaker than her?
【No, but you have me in your mind.】
Su Xin is outside the rules. If the world were to rank mental power, the Queen would undoubtedly be first, Renee in the top three, and Sika in the top ten.
“I think we need to talk about something else.”
Renee started unbuttoning.
