Plan A
Interstellar Guardian 14
Moran
The cold wind blew in from outside, causing goosebumps to rise on Su Xin’s exposed skin.
Sleeping against the uneven wall was uncomfortable, with the back of her neck feeling painfully pressed against it.
Under Su Xin’s military uniform was a work tank top, while beneath Renee’s uniform was a mandarin-collar shirt (A traditional Asian-style collar that stands up around the neck, symbolizing formality and propriety).
Su Xin, lying uncomfortably, tilted her head directly onto Renee’s shoulder, but this position wasn’t very comfortable either.
“Commander, please allow me to be presumptuous.”
“Hmm?”
Su Xin adjusted her position, very brazenly sliding into Renee’s embrace, resting her head on Renee’s chest, draping Renee’s military coat over herself, and happily falling asleep.
Without an ounce of conscience.
Renee’s body remained tense from the moment Su Xin began touching her.
Only after Su Xin closed her eyes did Renee slowly relax her body.
The frigid air from outside continuously invaded without possibility of rejection, while Moran was curled up in the corner sleeping soundly, showing how big-hearted this young lady was (A Chinese expression meaning someone is carefree or unbothered by circumstances).
Renee no longer felt the cold; instead, a trace of warmth arose in her heart.
That flame burned from her heart throughout her entire body, following the path of her flowing blood.
Renee kept her eyes open, watching Su Xin’s sleeping face – this was the first time encountering such a situation, making it impossible to fall asleep.
“Commander, when you stare at a soldier like this, they cannot possibly sleep.”
Su Xin lazily opened her eyes; this wasn’t just this body’s conditioned reflex, but also an instinct carved into Su Xin’s soul.
Being watched made it impossible to sleep, instead causing immediate alertness.
“Sorry.”
Renee pursed her lips and turned her head to one side.
“Commander.”
Su Xin rose from Renee’s embrace and sat upright.
The work tank top fitted her perfect body, tracing full curves at her chest, yet remained modest and fully covered, creating a special kind of sensuality.
Renee was surprised by her own choice of words, but quickly accepted them, realizing no other words could better suit the Su Xin before her eyes at this moment.
She was like a beautiful and sensual beasT, with fluffy short hair, emanating an inexplicable languor, casting aside rigidity, as if this was her true, authentic self.
“Hmm?”
This response carried a somewhat distracted flavor.
Renee liked to calculate, liked the feeling of having everything under control, she would calculate ten steps ahead before taking one step, but there were always things beyond expectation, force majeure.
Just as she hadn’t expected to be dragged onto this planet by the insect beast army, just as she hadn’t anticipated being targeted by the Queen and having strange things done to her, and even less had she expected to develop such an intimate relationship with Su Xin that transcended normal boundaries.
But all of this didn’t seem too bad, and was even quite novel.
“Shall we do some sleep-inducing exercises?”
Su Xin leaned close, inhaling Renee’s pleasant scent, gazing at her face as beautiful as a rose under moonlight.
“What?”
Renee didn’t quite understand, but she soon would.
In the space that wasn’t too cramped, they intertwined, drawing very close to each other.
Su Xin knelt with parted legs on either side of Renee, who sat there with composed dignity, her slender fingers resting on her shirt buttons, undoing them one by one.
Su Xin noticed the nervousness beneath Renee’s calm facade, feeling like a teacher preparing to instruct while Renee was an exceptionally serious student.
Su Xin had no doubt this person would memorize all her movements and return them upon her body, just as she had done last time, though she hadn’t proceeded to the final step.
When Su Xin attended to others, she liked to tease without restraint, watching the composure break in those under her control.
Renee’s eyes reddened and lips pressed together, still maintaining her general’s bearing.
When being attended to, Su Xin acted like a grand master (a term indicating someone who expects to be pampered), voicing pleasure when satisfied, and prone to scratching when displeased.
A rare display of delicateness, though even while being attended to, she maintained her desire for control.
In Renee’s past career, all people she encountered fell into two categories.
One type was usable, the other type was unusable.
But now appeared a paradox – she was usable, in the literal sense, hmm… a very special feeling. She had never been so immersed in passion before; previously she had even found it boring, merely following animal instincts.
In fact, everything that manifests on the surface of human existence has its reason for being, like this moment.
Yet she was also unusable, again in the literal sense, and Renee felt somewhat reluctant to proceed.
She thought she had long since thrown compassion to the dogs (a Chinese expression meaning to completely discard something), but she hadn’t.
Her heart pounded like a drum, beating different rhythms.
“Commander…”
Su Xin’s voice this time took on an onee-sama tone (referring to a mature, sophisticated female character), calling out in this situation stirred the heartstrings more than usual, causing Renee’s thoughts to waver.
“Call my name, at this moment.”
“Renee…”
That flash of snow-white was more dazzling than starlight in the vast cosmic sea, yet carried a delicate and warm touch, soft, so soft.
Choosing a sleep-inducing exercise before bed was indeed a fine choice. Su Xin put her clothes back on and fell asleep nestled in Renee’s embrace.
When they woke the next day, Moran appeared somewhat lacking in spirit, her eyebrows drooping, looking like frost-beaten eggplant.
Renee’s heart creased with worry, this soldier’s physical condition was truly poor, having been in a state of low fever since entering this planet.
Today they still couldn’t leave; all they could do was wait.
However, if they stayed here indefinitely, they would eventually be discovered.
Renee and Su Xin exchanged glances, telling her not to panic.
“We’re safe for three days.”
Renee spoke.
“Hmm?”
“Breeding period.”
The insect species should currently be in their breeding period, all male insects should be gathered in one place protecting their Queen’s safety, while the Queen was busy mating and laying eggs, temporarily having no attention to spare for them.
This was a hidden nest, with an extremely spacious interior.
Inside lived an insect – the Queen herself.
The Queen’s current size was more than twice what Su Xin and others had seen when they left earlier, even larger than the surrounding male insects.
Her body had swollen enormously, with a male insect mating with her – the prime breeding period had arrived.
After each session, she mercilessly devoured the male insect before her, who showed no resistance and was completely willing (A reflection of certain insect species’ mating behavior where males are consumed).
As one finished, another would step forward – this was the destiny of male insects and their Queen, all for reproduction.
The Queen was originally a young man from the 21st century, reclusive in nature with peculiar interests. He liked nothing except insects, whether shelled or soft-bodied, finding these little creatures far more lovable than humans.
Through an inexplicable transmigration, he became the Queen of the insect beasts.
This was undoubtedly the most suitable existence for him, and he decided to revitalize the insect species and wage war, but it wasn’t so simple – human technological civilization and their combat methods targeting insect weaknesses had restricted the insect species.
The insect species needed to undergo metamorphosis – that is, evolution – quickly.
The Queen had thought of another method: capturing human commanders for forced mating, to see what would emerge from combining human and insect genes, though this hadn’t been successful.
While laying eggs, the Queen pondered – humans didn’t yet know the Queen had developed consciousness, which was advantageous. Once the breeding period ended and they left this planet, she could control human mechs or other technology with her psychic power.
However, this action carried great risk – her extraordinary psychic power destined her body to be extremely weak.
The Queen emitted electromagnetic waves, concentrating on laying eggs, clearing away the dead ones, and upon seeing the dense mass of eggs, she fell into slumber.
Beyond Renee’s expectations, three days passed without any danger.
Perhaps something had happened with the Queen – either way, it was fortunate.
Moran ate the insect beasts that Su Xin had hunted, discovering different species had different tastes, which was indeed a good thing.
The meat entering her body brought a feeling of exhilaration, as if warm currents spread throughout her body, like something being released, extremely pleasant… holy crap!
Moran screamed internally, her body stiffening.
She detected the scent of her own pheromones, her heart dropping – it seemed the suppressant’s effects had worn off, and now things might be dire.
She very much wanted General Renee to mark her, but not under these circumstances – it was too dangerous now, with unknown insects wandering outside, and even more terrifyingly, there was an Alpha present!
Ahhhhh!
Sweet fragrance filled the entire cave, continuous waves of alluring scent emanating from Moran. Though Su Xin’s glands had been treated, she still couldn’t help being bewildered by this scent, entering a dazed state, unconsciously taking two steps in her direction.
The atmosphere around Renee darkened, as she held Su Xin back.
Su Xin’s back hit the wall as she received Renee’s forceful kiss.
Moran bit her lip, wishing she could curl into a ball. Her rationality slowly blurred, forgetting who she was, where she was, what she needed to do – she just wanted… wanted that cool essence to soothe this maddening restlessness in her body that made her want to tear everything apart.
Moran looked toward Renee for help, only to witness an even more shocking scene.
General Renee and Ge Wei were kissing?
Hey hey hey! Haven’t you two got the wrong targets? She’s right here!
Moran couldn’t understand why the two would embrace and kiss each other instead of approaching an Omega releasing sweet pheromones.
The suppressant shouldn’t have worn off this quickly, but Moran’s heat cycle had arrived, causing it to fail early.
An Omega in heat would die without suppressants or being marked.
“Don’t go.”
Renee emanated a cold aura, holding onto Su Xin.
“General, you forget, I’ve already abandoned that ability for you.”
