The Passerby Female Supporting Character – Chapter 56
by Little PandaTake a Bite
“I sleep in the same bed with you every night, how could I possibly be pregnant? Don’t you know whether you can get pregnant just like that?!”
Song Linlin, afraid the other wouldn’t believe her, quickly added this sentence, simultaneously unable to stop herself from roaring inwardly. It was all Zhang San’s fault for not explaining the effects beforehand, leaving her to cluelessly drink a medicinal soup whose function she didn’t even know.
If she had known earlier what that stuff was for, Song Linlin definitely wouldn’t have chosen to drink it!
Then she wouldn’t be in this awkward situation now, a young maiden1 having to painstakingly explain to Chi Qianning that she wasn’t pregnant.
Damn it!
Chi Qianning’s hand rested on Song Linlin’s lower abdomen, still somewhat stunned. She could feel the signal emanating from the other’s body; it did indeed resemble that of a woman carrying a child. However, after hearing Song Linlin’s explanation, Chi Qianning thought about it carefully again, and it seemed that was indeed the case.
Over these past days, Song Linlin had slept in the same bed with Chi Qianning every night. Most of her time during the day was also spent with Chi Qianning. The only other people she interacted with were familiar faces; strange men were extremely rare.
Looking at it this way, it truly seemed impossible for Song Linlin to be pregnant. But if that was the case, why was this situation occurring now? The Qi and Blood2 in her lower abdomen and body were not quite normal.
Chi Qianning withdrew her hand. Her red eyes looked at Song Linlin, carrying a hint of scrutiny as she stared directly into the other’s eyes and asked, “What did you do? To actually end up in this state.”
“You really can’t blame me for this!”
At the mention of this matter, Song Linlin felt wronged and quickly shifted the responsibility, distancing herself from it. Then, with a miserable look, she complained, “It was all Zhang San’s doing! If it weren’t for her, how would I be like this now? I’m just a victim.”
“Oh?”
Chi Qianning raised an eyebrow slightly, asking curiously, “What did she do?”
“Zhang San told me to go find her today, so after morning class, I headed to Ziting Residence. Later, I drank the medicinal food Zhang San cooked, and when I came back, I ended up like this…” Song Linlin omitted some details, giving a general outline of the process.
“Medicinal food?” Chi Qianning naturally knew what this was—a soup made by stewing various ingredients in specific proportions, with the resulting essence possessing unique effects.
Chi Qianning asked, “What effect did the medicinal food you drank have?”
“Uh…”
Just thinking about the effect of this medicinal food made Song Linlin uncontrollably embarrassed, especially since she was facing Chi Qianning right now, making her even more self-conscious.
But Chi Qianning was staring straight at her. Not saying anything would make it seem like she had something to hide, so Song Linlin could only brace herself and say, “Treating infertility.”
As for the latter half, “making women more likely to conceive,” Song Linlin really couldn’t bring herself to say it, silently swallowing the words.
“???”
Chi Qianning was stunned upon hearing this. She hadn’t expected the medicinal food to have such an effect. Now the whole situation had undoubtedly become even stranger. Chi Qianning couldn’t help but frown and ask, “Zhang San specifically stewed it for you? Why would she have you drink this kind of thing?”
Song Linlin found it hard to explain directly. After several seconds of silence, she finally spoke as if resigned to her fate, “Alright, actually, I’ve always had infertility issues.”
Compared to the embarrassment of revealing that Zhang San thought she and Chi Qianning were trying to make babies that night, and that Song Linlin had now developed an easily fertile constitution…
Claiming she was infertile clearly sounded much better. After all, Chi Qianning couldn’t probe whether Song Linlin was lying about this aspect.
Chi Qianning opposite her also fell silent, momentarily unsure of what to say. Seeing this, Song Linlin immediately added, “But it doesn’t matter! Actually, I have no interest in children at all. If I could never have any, that would be for the best.”
Finished speaking, Song Linlin didn’t want to dwell on this topic anymore. She raised her hand to wipe her nosebleed, only to find her hand covered in blood again. It seemed like the nosebleed simply wouldn’t stop.
Song Linlin wasn’t particularly embarrassed about Chi Qianning seeing her in such a sorry state; they were so familiar with each other anyway. Cupping her nose with one hand to prevent the blood from flowing further, she moved a bit closer to where Chi Qianning was.
“Quick, bite me. I feel like I have too much blood right now, I need to let some out. Otherwise, this nosebleed will probably never stop,” Song Linlin said, reaching out with her clean hand to give Chi Qianning’s sleeve a little tug.
Unsurprisingly, Chi Qianning rolled her eyes at Song Linlin. Did Song Linlin think of her as some kind of blood-sucking tool? Annoyed and amused3, she said, “Song Linlin, what are you thinking?”
Anyway, Chi Qianning was rather unwilling to do it.
“I’m serious, I’m not joking. Come bite me.”
Song Linlin could feel the condition inside her body. If the nosebleed continued at this rate, who knew how long it would take to expel all the excess Qi and Blood.
In this situation, letting some blood out was obviously the most effective method. Cutting herself to bleed was too gory; Song Linlin preferred being bitten by Chi Qianning.
Besides, being bitten by her… Song Linlin felt the experience was actually quite nice.
“No.” Chi Qianning was very resistant.
Song Linlin pretended not to hear her, moved closer to Chi Qianning again, and then suddenly pushed the other person down onto the bedding, straddling her body. Leaning down, she adjusted the angle, tilted her head to expose a section of her fair neck, making it easier for the other to bite down.
“Here, bite here,” Song Linlin said considerately.
Chi Qianning: ……
The two hadn’t been this close for quite a few days since that night, especially not this kind of intimate contact. But spoiling the mood was Song Linlin’s currently incessant nosebleed; she could only cover her nose with one hand, rendering her unable to do anything else, nor was she in the mood to think about other things.
Song Linlin had already positioned her neck, but after waiting several seconds, the person beneath her made no move. She had to lower her head to look at Chi Qianning. Seeing the other still looking unwilling, she chose to stick close to Chi Qianning and pester her relentlessly4.
“Please, just bite me~”
Afterward, Song Linlin clung to Chi Qianning, talking non-stop for a long while. Chi Qianning finally got annoyed listening to it all and relented, “Alright, what nonsense are you talking? Fine, I’ll help you.”
“Okay!”
Song Linlin immediately shut her mouth, proactively tilted her head again, presenting her neck to Chi Qianning, and said eagerly, “Bite here.”
Chi Qianning felt she could almost see a sense of eagerness in Song Linlin; the girl seemed desperate for her to take a bite.
Looking at the fair neck before her, Chi Qianning didn’t hold back. Without intentionally restraining her strength, she opened her mouth and bit down directly. Sharp teeth pierced the skin without any resistance, and in the next moment, streams of scalding blood rushed out eagerly.
“Hiss—”
Although Song Linlin had mentally prepared herself, the sharp pain of her skin being pierced instantly still made her uncontrollably suck in a sharp breath5.
Song Linlin felt it seemed a bit more painful this time than before. Of course, it was also possible it was actually about the same; after all, the last time she was bitten by the other person was indeed many days ago.
Song Linlin had mostly forgotten the initial stinging sensation of being bitten; the most profound feelings came from the period after the sharp teeth had pierced her skin.
As the delicate skin was broken, blood naturally flowed out continuously. Not a single drop of this blood could flow far; basically, as soon as it appeared, it was licked clean by Chi Qianning.
A soft tongue licked the pierced wound. At this moment, Song Linlin’s blood temperature was much higher than usual, so the emerging blood was naturally hot. As the tongue slid over that patch of skin, it brought a subtle itching sensation mixed with the pain of the broken skin.
The combination of these two sensations was incredibly strange. This perfectly measured pain wasn’t intense, yet unexpectedly, it made one feel pleasure and addiction towards it.
Song Linlin quickly adapted to the stimulation of this feeling. As long as she relaxed and accepted it, she even began to feel somewhat enjoyment and immersion.
Her body had originally felt pleasantly warm, as if streams of heat were flowing within her. Now that an opening had appeared, the excess Qi and Blood that couldn’t be absorbed and could only wander inside her body finally found an outlet, now gushing out incessantly.
Feeling the heat continuously draining from her body, Song Linlin instantly felt much more relaxed. The feeling of that Qi and Blood being blocked inside, unable to be absorbed or expelled, was quite uncomfortable. Gaining relief made Song Linlin very satisfied.
This time, the bite lasted quite long. Previously, Song Linlin didn’t have that much blood and magic power/mana for Chi Qianning to absorb; she usually had to release Song Linlin within two minutes to prevent the other from being drained dry.
Now, the residual medicinal power/effect in Song Linlin’s body was excessive; she simply couldn’t digest such a large amount of nourishment, which ended up accumulating in her body. Now, as the blood slowly flowed out non-stop, that excess Qi and Blood flowed towards Chi Qianning, being absorbed by her.
Scalding blood flowed into her mouth, the usual metallic-sweet taste carrying a faint fragrance of herbs. This scent filled her entire mouth. Swallowing the scalding liquid, the heat slid down her throat to her stomach, and Chi Qianning also felt a warmth gradually spreading within her body.
Evidently, that excess medicinal power was at work. However, Chi Qianning’s cultivation realm was countless levels higher than Song Linlin’s; this bit of excess power had little effect on her and was easily absorbed.
Song Linlin was clearly entranced by being bitten, lying limply on top of Chi Qianning. Lying pressed tightly against the other’s soft body like this, she wasn’t poked by any bones.
The heat flow within her body gradually subsided, and Song Linlin’s temperature slowly returned to normal. She felt her nose should have stopped bleeding. Raising her arm, she wiped her face with her sleeve several times. The white sleeve became stained with blood. Only when she confirmed no new bloodstains were appearing did Song Linlin stop.
However, the nosebleed had lasted for quite a while, and the initial traces of blood had already dried, unable to be wiped away completely. She would need to wash it off with a towel later.
Chi Qianning absorbed most of Song Linlin’s excess Qi and Blood. As that Qi and Blood dispersed within her body and the medicinal power spread, her originally cool body temperature also rose considerably. However, this bit of medicinal power was also quickly absorbed completely.
The only thing that felt unfamiliar was that after absorbing the medicinal power, her own lower abdomen started to feel a bit warm, and her body seemed to undergo some subtle changes, though they were all positive changes, slightly enhancing her constitution.
After quite a while, Chi Qianning finally released her teeth. As the sharp fangs withdrew from the skin, Song Linlin couldn’t help but shudder slightly, the pain in her neck very distinct.
Song Linlin felt somewhat weak after having her blood drawn, lying prone and unwilling to move. She only turned her head to look at Chi Qianning. The person beneath her, having absorbed a large amount of blood at once, now had a hazy look in her eyes, filled with some indescribable emotion.
Although the person was clearly dazed from the absorption, Chi Qianning still raised her hand. Her fingers caressed the wound she herself had made on Song Linlin’s neck. As her fingertips rubbed over the wound, bringing a slight itchiness, the wound then smoothed over, leaving not a single trace behind.
Song Linlin watched her, then cupped Chi Qianning’s face with her clean hand. Lowering her head, she forcefully kissed the other side of the other’s cheek, planting a loud smack. As she pulled away, there was even an audible sound, making Chi Qianning narrow her eyes slightly.
“You’re amazing,” Song Linlin praised.
Her palm still rested on Chi Qianning’s face. Only now did Song Linlin realize the other’s cheek didn’t seem as cool as before. The hand that had touched her earlier felt the same way.
She asked again, “How did you get so warm?”
Song Linlin’s temperature had already returned to normal. Thinking about how Chi Qianning had just absorbed her blood, she asked uncertainly, “Did the excess medicinal power go into your body?”
Chi Qianning was somewhat dazed now, but hearing Song Linlin’s question, she still nodded.
Song Linlin had absorbed half of the medicinal power from the alchemist at most. The remaining half had actually gone into Chi Qianning’s body. Song Linlin couldn’t help but fall into contemplation for a few seconds.
Doesn’t this mean that the other person has also gained that… easily fertile constitution for the next few days?
Then isn’t she just like me!
Song Linlin couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. Hearing her laugh, Chi Qianning looked up at her, “What is it?”
“Nothing.”
Song Linlin shook her head, adding inexplicably, “Too bad I don’t have that ability.”
Before Chi Qianning could ask further, Song Linlin quickly lowered her head and kissed the person beneath her again, then climbed off. “I’m going to wash my face.”
Her face and hands were currently stained with blood; she needed to wash up.
The author has something to say:
Originally planned to write a plotline these past two days that would likely end up in the little black room6, but I overestimated myself. It will probably take another couple of days to get to it.
