After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 95
by Little PandaLoving the Cat is Real
The production crew of 《Migration》 officially began filming.
Director Luo and Director Chen were directors of completely different styles. Unlike Director Chen, who would explode at the slightest provocation, he was more like a spring breeze, nurturing things silently.1
Even someone like Lin Sifei, who had acted in so many productions, couldn’t help but fall into his rhythm upon joining the set.
“Director Luo, you’re truly amazing. This way, the other characters will shine even more.”
Director Luo chuckled and fanned himself. “Although the main character’s highlight moments are reduced, a successful movie is the result of everyone’s collective effort.”
Lin Sifei smiled and blinked. “Well, in that case, as compensation, can I ask for a day off?”
Director Luo’s smile froze. “We just started filming and you’re already asking for leave?”
“I have something to do.” Lin Sifei fanned him. “Director Luo, you see how cooperative I am, and how quickly we’re filming.”
Director Luo couldn’t withstand her pestering and sighed. “Only tomorrow, and you must be here in the afternoon.”
Tomorrow was Saturday. Lang Jingju was arriving tonight, so they could schedule more of his scenes for tomorrow, but they definitely had to rehearse the scenes between the male and female leads first.
“No problem.” Lin Sifei happily tossed the fan aside and ran to the side to call Luo Ke.
Director Luo picked up the fan, shook his head helplessly, and continued fanning himself.
“Luo Ke, Luo Ke, I got the day off!” Lin Sifei held her phone happily. “We can go to the press conference together tomorrow.”
Luo Corporation’s new jewelry line was about to be launched. This time, they had replaced the cat spokesperson and dropped all other brand ambassadors, so the company was taking it very seriously. Everyone was waiting to see if this decision was the right one.
Because her own cat was the spokesperson, Luo Ke had reluctantly agreed to do the publicity and attend the launch event.
After work in the evening, Luo Ke drove over to pick up Lin Sifei.
“Get in.”
Lin Sifei smiled, pulled open the car door, and fastened her seatbelt, only to notice that Luo Ke hadn’t started the car yet.
“What’s wrong?”
Luo Ke frowned slightly, looking out the car window. “Is that your male lead over there?”
“Yeah.” Lin Sifei glanced over. “His name is Lang Jingju.”
“His name is too hard to remember.” Luo Ke sighed. “Let’s just call him Xiao Lang.”
“This Xiao Lang, I saw him at a meeting I attended today. He seems to be President Lang’s son.” Luo Ke paused, then added an annotation, “The Lang family’s business is doing quite well.”
“So he’s a rich second generation.”2 Lin Sifei nodded, then narrowed her eyes at Luo Ke. “But what does him being a rich second generation have to do with you? Why are you staring at him?!”
A sense of crisis instantly arose in Lin Sifei. This Xiao Lang was quite handsome, with sharp, well-defined features and deep-set eyes.
“Jealous?” Luo Ke teased with a mischievous smile.
Lin Sifei shot her a glare. “Yeah, yeah, I’m so sour.”
Luo Ke laughed, reached out to pinch her cheek, and started the car. “Relax, I just heard that his older sister is a fan of Yan Yafei, a die-hard fan at that. You should be careful on set.”
Lin Sifei was stunned. The car happened to glide past Lang Jingju just then. Outside the window, the young man’s piercing eyes were looking down, as if seeing her through the glass.
Lin Sifei shuddered and patted her cheeks. “It’s fine, it’s fine. His sister is his sister, he is he.”
“In any case, it’s best to be careful.”
Lin Sifei nodded.
The next day, having taken the day off, Lin Sifei once again lazed in bed.
She was only pulled up when Luo Ke arrived with a formal gown.
“Get up and wash up, or we’ll be late.”
Lin Sifei swayed into the bathroom, washed up, but didn’t change into the gown, wearing her own clothes instead.
“I can turn into a cat first, then turn back into a person to go on stage.” She sat at the dining table. “I think that as the spokesperson… cat, I should at least make an appearance.”
“Whatever you like.” Luo Ke was indifferent to these things. “I’ll have someone clear a dressing room for you. You can transform there in a bit.”
Lin Sifei nodded vigorously.
Upon arriving at the venue and waiting in the dressing room for a while, a staff member came to inform them that it was about to start and Luo Ke could head over first.
Luo Ke nodded. After the staff member left, she waited for Lin Sifei to turn into a cat, then lifted her out from her clothes and walked onto the stage.
The spotlights immediately fell on the person and the cat. Lin Sifei stood with her front paws on Luo Ke’s shoulder, surveying the audience haughtily.
The host laughed. “President Luo’s cat is so handsome.”
“She’s always like this.”
Luo Ke sat in the seat at the center of the stage, chatting with the host and answering questions from the audience.
As a cat, Lin Sifei couldn’t answer questions, so she just climbed and rolled all over Luo Ke.
Driven to her wit’s end, Luo Ke reached out and rubbed her head. After a couple of pets, Lin Sifei lay down comfortably on her lap.
Luo Ke’s part in the event wasn’t long. After her was the model showcase of the jewelry, followed by the designer discussing their creative vision.
Because of Lin Sifei’s coming out, many people now knew who Luo Ke was. Hearing that Luo Ke would be making an appearance this time, many came just for her, some even placing orders on the spot.
Throughout the entire event, Luo Ke only appeared at the beginning and then again at the end to wrap things up.
Back in the dressing room, Lin Sifei still hadn’t woken up.
Luo Ke looked at her with some concern. Lin Sifei had indeed been sleeping a lot more recently. Even during her normal sleeping hours at night, her sleep quality had improved dramatically.
Luo Ke wasn’t sure if this was normal or not and planned to take Lin Sifei for a check-up later.
“President Luo, it’s about to end.”
Luo Ke nodded and gently nudged Lin Sifei. “Xiao Xiao, it’s about to end. Do you still want to go up?”
The cat on the sofa was instantly wide awake, her cat eyes wide open.
“Meow~”
Luo Ke smiled and rubbed her head. “I’ll get your clothes for you.”
After changing into the golden gown, Lin Sifei’s entire aura was elevated by another degree. Walking alongside Luo Ke, she didn’t lose out in the slightest.
Standing before the stairs, Luo Ke reached out and took her hand, smiling as they walked out together.
“Whoa!!!” A chorus of cheers erupted.
Lin Sifei smiled and waved. “Thank you all for coming today.”
The host knew beforehand but pretended not to. “I didn’t expect our other lady boss to be here too! This truly adds a brilliant final stroke to today’s finale.”3
The livestream was also flooded with bullet comments, all praising their beauty and wishing them a hundred years of happy union.4
After the event, Lin Sifei lay in the car.
Luo Ke caressed her face. “Let’s go to the hospital for a check-up.”
“Huh?” Lin Sifei opened her drowsy eyes. “I’m fine, probably just a little tired.”
Luo Ke wasn’t reassured and had Li Jing drive to the hospital.
They went to a private hospital under the Luo Corporation, which had better confidentiality.
After a full set of examinations, the results that were out showed no problems. They would have to wait two days for the rest.
“Are there any other symptoms?”
“No, just a bit sleepy.”
The doctor frowned, unable to think of any issues. “Get some good rest for now.”
Lin Sifei smiled and lay on Luo Ke’s back. “See, I told you it was nothing. you’re too nervous.”
Luo Ke couldn’t help but be nervous. After all, Lin Sifei was a cat who had turned into a human; no one knew what kind of problems might arise.
But the examinations for both her human and cat forms showed no issues.
“Then let’s go back and rest for now.”
Lin Sifei opened her eyes and mumbled, “No, I have to go back. I still have scenes to film this afternoon.”
“Filming isn’t as important as your health.”
Lin Sifei huffed twice and grumbled, “You’re so fierce.”
Luo Ke’s voice couldn’t help but soften. “Let’s just be a little more careful, okay?”
“Director Luo said the afternoon, he didn’t specify a time. I’ll sleep for a bit first, we’ll see how it goes.”
Lin Sifei fell asleep right there in her seat, with Luo Ke watching over her worriedly.
She glanced at Li Jing. “Don’t go home, drive straight to the Film City.”
She understood Lin Sifei. When it came to filming, she always kept her word. Rather than waking her up at the last minute to rush over, it was better to just let her sleep in the car.
The car drove to the outskirts of the Film City. Li Jing found a place to park and sat in the car, fiddling with her phone.
Luo Ke gazed at Lin Sifei’s face and couldn’t resist counting her eyelashes.
She says my eyelashes are long, but aren’t hers long and thick too? A smile touched the corners of Luo Ke’s lips.
As dusk fell, Luo Ke felt that if they waited any longer, it couldn’t really be considered “afternoon.” She reluctantly woke Lin Sifei up.
“Time to get up, you have to film.”
Lin Sifei rubbed her eyes and stretched. “Are we home?”
She saw the sunset outside the car window and was completely stunned. “Ah! I’m going to be late!”
“You’ll make it.” Luo Ke smiled and patted her head, smoothing down her messy hair. “I already drove to the Film City.”
Lin Sifei turned her head to look, and it was true. She immediately breathed a sigh of relief. “Then I’m off to film. We have a night shoot tonight, so don’t wait up for me.”
With that, she jumped out of the car and ran forward, not forgetting to raise a hand and wave.
Luo Ke smiled. “Li Jing, find a hotel nearby. We’re staying here tonight.”
There were many hotels near the Film City to accommodate production crews. However, it was a bit difficult to get a room at this time. Most were already booked, and Luo Ke insisted on one that was close.
In the end, Luo Ke paid a hefty price to have two girls check out and move to another hotel.
After a long day, Luo Ke was also a bit tired. Thinking that she needed to keep an eye on Lin Sifei at night, she set an alarm and decided to take a nap.
Not long after she fell asleep, the phone on the bedside table suddenly rang.
Luo Ke jolted awake. Xiao Xiao!
She hurriedly grabbed her phone. When she answered, it was Zhao Min.
She let out a sigh of relief. “What is it?”
“President Luo, something bad has happened. Someone is accusing us of cat abuse, saying we forced the cat to film for the endorsement.”
Luo Ke pressed her temples, a headache blooming. “Have the public relations department handle it.”
“The PR department said they want you to directly film a video of the cat to debunk the rumors, preferably to keep filming for a long time.”
The cat was currently filming a movie. To film again after getting home would be too exhausting.
Luo Ke refused flatly. “No, it’s too much trouble.”
Zhao Min scratched her head in frustration. “President Luo, it’s not troublesome, really.”
Luo Ke ignored her and hung up. Looking at the time, it was about time to pick up the cat from work.
She got up, tidied her clothes and hair, and went out to find Lin Sifei.
She couldn’t enter the filming area, so Luo Ke could only watch Lin Sifei act through the glass.
Lin Sifei turned her head and looked at her, a look of extreme sorrow suddenly appearing on her face. There were no tears in her eyes, but Luo Ke felt as if her own heart was about to break.
“Cut!”
At Director Luo’s call, Lin Sifei’s expression immediately changed. As happy as a little bird, she zipped into Luo Ke’s arms.
“Luo Ke, you came to pick me up from work!”
Luo Ke smiled and nodded.
Director Luo tutted twice. “You two are really happy.”
Lin Sifei smiled and linked her arm through Luo Ke’s. “Wow, Director Luo, are you envious?”
“I’m not envious of you. We’ve been there, done that.”
Lin Sifei laughed out loud, leaning against Luo Ke.
Lang Jingju was taking off his gear. Seeing them laughing and talking, he hesitated for a moment before walking over. “Sifei-jie, were you not feeling well today?”
Lin Sifei was taken aback, not expecting him to be so perceptive, but she still shook her head. “No, just a little tired. Why, was my performance bad?”
She looked at Director Luo as she spoke.
She was very strict with herself and didn’t want Director Luo to go easy on her.
“No problem,” Director Luo said, waving his hand.
Lang Jingju also shook his head. “You acted very well, I just felt you were much quieter today.”
Lin Sifei was speechless. “Are you saying I was very talkative before?”
Lang Jingju nodded honestly. He did think she was very talkative. No one else around him was this chatty.
Hearing his reason, Lin Sifei shook her head helplessly. This kid hadn’t realized he was a total conversation killer;5 anyone who talked to him would clam up. Only someone as outstanding as her could ignore his icy aura.
But she couldn’t say that out loud; she had to protect her student’s self-esteem.
“Maybe you just haven’t met enough people yet. Your life experience isn’t rich enough,” Lin Sifei said, adopting the air of a life mentor.
Hearing her about to launch into another endless lecture, Luo Ke reached out and covered her mouth. “It’s time to go back.”
Lin Sifei was actually a bit tired too, so she nodded at her words and waved to the others. “We’ll head back first then. Everyone, rest early too.”
Leaving the Film City, Lin Sifei practically hung off Luo Ke. She was so sleepy. She had been holding on for so long, and now that no one was around, she could finally be unrestrained.
Luo Ke was being dragged by her to the point she could barely walk.
She stopped, crouched down, and said, “Get on, I’ll carry you back on my back.”
“That’s not necessary.” Lin Sifei rubbed her eyes. “I’m not that sleepy.”
“Don’t worry. Carrying you in my arms might be difficult, but carrying you on my back is no problem.” Luo Ke knew she was worried about tiring her out and smiled, wiggling her fingers. “Hurry up and get on. You can experience this kind of romantic feeling.”
Lin Sifei hesitated for a moment, but she was just too sleepy. In the end, she gave in and lay on Luo Ke’s back.
Luo Ke hooked her arms under her legs and stood up abruptly.
Lin Sifei was startled and quickly wrapped her arms around Luo Ke’s neck.
Luo Ke bounced her a little and walked forward. “Relax, I won’t let you fall.”
Lin Sifei hummed. “Where’s the car? Is it far? Let’s have Li Jing drive over to pick us up.”
“We’re not going home today, we’re staying in a hotel.”
“Huh?” Lin Sifei said.
Luo Ke bounced her upwards again. “Aren’t you sleepy? Let’s just stay nearby. It saves you from sleeping uncomfortably in the car on the way back and forth.”
Lin Sifei pursed her lips and rested her head on her back. “Luo Ke, you’re so good to me.”
“If you know I’m good to you, then hold on tight and don’t let me get away.” Luo Ke laughed. “It’s not easy to meet someone as outstanding as me.”
That’s why I’m so lucky. Lin Sifei giggled. This considerate woman was her girlfriend.
She closed her eyes, breathing in Luo Ke’s scent, and groggily drifted off to sleep again.
When Luo Ke reached the hotel, Li Jing was waiting at the entrance.
Seeing the two return, Li Jing hurried over.
Luo Ke shook her head at her. Only then did Li Jing realize Lin Sifei was asleep. She quickly lightened her steps, walking ahead to help press the elevator button and open the door.
Once in the room, Luo Ke carefully placed her on the bed.
Li Jing tactfully withdrew and closed the door.
The room temperature was comfortable. Lin Sifei felt for the blanket and instinctively rolled into it.
“You haven’t showered yet,” Luo Ke said in a low voice.
However, she couldn’t bear to wake her up again. She turned, went to the bathroom to get some water, and came back to wipe her down.
Lin Sifei whimpered, annoyed at having her sleep disturbed, and slapped at her. “Don’t move, I want to sleep.”
Luo Ke smiled and kissed her on the forehead. “I know, just a quick wipe-down, then you can sleep peacefully.”
Lin Sifei’s brows were tightly furrowed, and she kept humming and fussing.
Luo Ke quickly wiped her down and took away the towel and basin. “Alright, alright.”
Lin Sifei kicked her legs and wrapped herself even more tightly in the blanket.
Luo Ke looked at her, stroked her hair, and lay down beside her.
She turned off the lights, and the room went dark, with only Lin Sifei’s silhouette faintly visible.
Luo Ke smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist. After a moment, she remembered something. “Xiao Xiao, Xiao Xiao, turn into a cat.”
Lin Sifei frowned, turned into a cat with a poof, kneaded the bed with her paws, and crawled into her arms. She then curled into a ball, pressing one ear against Luo Ke’s chest and covering the other with a paw.
Luo Ke couldn’t help but chuckle. Stroking the cat’s soft fur, she settled in to sleep.
The phone beside her vibrated again. It was Zhao Min once more.
Luo Ke ruthlessly declined the call. Zhao Min then sent a message.
【Zhao Min: President Luo! Please just post one! I’m begging you!】
Luo Ke frowned, feeling that if she didn’t post something, she would be harassed endlessly.
She glanced at the cat lying on her chest, who had predictably shrunk back uncomfortably because of the light.
Luo Ke could only unlock her phone and quickly snap two pictures. The phone’s flash went off twice.
She posted it to her own account, 【Posted. Stop bothering me, the cat is sleeping.】
The people in the comments immediately started mocking her for using the cat to make money, saying the cat was exhausted. They also complained that she couldn’t even be bothered to take a decent picture, and who knew when the photos were from.
Luo Ke didn’t look at any of it and went to sleep hugging the cat.
Waking up from a full night’s sleep, Lin Sifei felt she had recovered.
She stretched, and her cat paws lifted, touching Luo Ke’s face.
Luo Ke woke up instantly. Looking at her, she asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Meow~” Nothing.
She raised a paw to rub Luo Ke’s eyes, telling her to go back to sleep.
Luo Ke held her paw. “I’m well-rested. Are you getting up to film?”
Lin Sifei rolled to the other side of the bed and turned into a person. “I slept on you all night, and you don’t find it tiring?”
“It was fine, quite comfortable.” She stretched and got up to wash up with Lin Sifei.
The bathroom in the hotel was very small. Lin Sifei washed up first while Luo Ke watched from the side.
“Are you feeling better today?”
Lin Sifei had toothpaste in her mouth, so she just nodded. She felt it was just exhaustion, and one night of rest would fix it.
Luo Ke could see she was quite energetic, but she wasn’t as optimistic. It had been like this before—sleepy for a day, then fine after some rest, but it would happen again later.
She decided to keep an eye on the hospital results to see if they found anything.
“I’m going to work. You should get to the company soon too.”
Lin Sifei ordered breakfast. After eating with Luo Ke, she stretched, put on a mask and hat, and went to the Film City.
As soon as she entered, she noticed that many of the staff members were looking at her today.
“What’s up?” she asked curiously.
She had a good relationship with the crew, being easygoing and often buying snacks for everyone.
“Sifei, have you seen the stuff online about President Luo abusing the cat?”
Lin Sifei’s eyes widened in surprise. “Cat abuse? You’ve got to be kidding.”
She leaned in to look at the person’s phone screen and saw a candid photo of Luo Ke taking her to the pet hospital. She had been sleeping like the dead in Luo Ke’s arms.
The person who dug this up also got a photo from the studio, writing that the cat was forced by Luo Ke to shoot for over ten hours. Combined with the subsequent picture from the pet hospital, they suspected the cat had collapsed from exhaustion.
Luo Ke’s clothes in the photos were identical, proving it was the same day. They also brought up the account Lin Sifei had created for the cat, saying it hadn’t been updated in a long time, which was highly abnormal.
Lin Sifei found it a bit ridiculous, but she understood the netizens were worried something had happened to the cat.
“Right, President Luo responded last night.” The crew member pulled up Luo Ke’s Weibo.6 It was two photos, so blurry they looked like mosaics, from which you could barely make out a lump of a cat lying there.
Lin Sifei burst out laughing. “That’s her photography skill. I was wondering why there was a light when I was sleeping last night. Turns out it was the flash from her taking pictures.”
Seeing her attitude, everyone felt relieved. It was probably just an online rumor.
The crew member clicked his tongue. “This was probably stirred up because the Luo Corporation jewelry is getting a good response. At first, someone was probably just worried about the cat, and then it got maliciously blown out of proportion.”
Lin Sifei nodded. This statement was, in a way, passing the buck7 for the person who made the initial post, suggesting they didn’t do it on purpose.
Because Luo Corporation’s legal department was quite strong, this kind of thing that damaged their commercial image was no small matter if pursued.
However, Lin Sifei also understood people who were passionate about cats. The person who first raised the issue wasn’t very extreme, just expressing normal suspicion and asking questions.
“It’s fine. It’s mainly because I’ve been too busy recently and didn’t notice. Luo Ke doesn’t pay much attention to these things either, otherwise she could have debunked the rumor by just posting a few photos or videos.”
Thinking about her state yesterday, Luo Ke probably didn’t have the mind for anything else.
A little bit of sweetness bloomed in Lin Sifei’s heart. She took out her phone and started editing a Weibo post.
【With a few pictures attached. The cat is being raised by me and President Luo together. It’s true that the photoshoot took the whole day, but that’s because we had to take frequent breaks, which made it take longer. Thank you everyone for your concern for the cat. Luo Ke’s photography skills have always been that atrocious. All the unedited photos on the cat’s Weibo account were taken by me, if I do say so myself.】
She attached a few photos she had taken before.
【Doesn’t that mean you two got together that long ago?!】
【Lin Sifei: Pretty much, a little after the account was created.】
【Wow! Did your relationship develop from raising a cat together?】
【Lin Sifei: In a sense, yes [shy]】
【We want to see a video, photos can’t prove the date.】
【Lin Sifei: I’m at work right now, I’ll film one for everyone when I get home.】
【They’re living together!】
Lin Sifei didn’t reply further and focused on her acting.
Her condition was even better today. Lang Jingju was drawn into the scene by her, and the entire process went extremely smoothly. Director Luo was overjoyed, and their progress sped up significantly.
“This way, Xiao Lang can also relax a bit and finish filming sooner,” Director Luo said, very satisfied as he watched the monitor.
Lang Jingju bowed slightly. “Sorry to trouble Sifei-jie to accommodate my schedule.”
“It’s no problem, no problem.” Lin Sifei waved her hand.
She said her goodbyes and immediately ran back to the hotel, having Luo Ke film a short cat video for her.
Then, she took Luo Ke’s phone, opened the photo album, and took screenshots of all the dated photos inside.
“Tsk tsk, President Luo actually took so many.”
Luo Ke’s face flushed slightly. “Isn’t this normal?”
“Of course it is, because you love me.” Lin Sifei smiled proudly, posting the video and photos from Luo Ke’s account, then reposting it from her own.
【Lin SifeiV: Loving the cat is real.】
【Luo KeV: Mmm, very much so. //@Lin SifeiV: …】
