After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 115

Marriage
To achieve such perfect success with just four productions—one had to admit, Lin Sifei was truly talented.
Even those who used to claim she was just relying on Luo Ke had all shut their mouths. After all, box office numbers were bought with the audience’s own money.
Lin Sifei’s star was shining too brightly. Countless people were watching her, all hoping to dig up some major dirt.
When they couldn’t find anything, they would occasionally start rumors that her relationship with Luo Ke was on the rocks, and that Luo Ke was going to shelve her.
When Luo Ke came out of the shower, she saw Lin Sifei lying on her stomach on the bed, stifling a laugh. She leaned over for a look and saw those confidently declared rumors.
She sighed. “Haven’t they eaten enough dog food?”1
Lin Sifei pointed at the comment section below. “Look, everyone’s saying that showing off our affection means we’re about to break up, and that I’m just releasing news to placate the public.”
Luo Ke lay down beside her, reached out to lift a lock of Lin Sifei’s hair, and twirled the ends into a few curls.
“Well then… how about we get married?” Luo Ke looked at her. “You’ve finished filming your new movie, too.”
Lin Sifei gave her a teasing look and planted a loud kiss on her cheek. “I was thinking the same thing.”
“But—” She paused. “Even if we get married, the rumors won’t stop. They’ll probably just change from ‘breaking up tomorrow’ to ‘divorcing tomorrow’.”
“Then let them talk. We’ll live our own lives, anyway.”
Luo Ke reached out and hugged Lin Sifei, nuzzling her cheek. “I want to get married.”
Looking at the upward tilt of Luo Ke’s eyes and hearing her muffled, aggrieved voice, Lin Sifei felt her heart tremble with overwhelming cuteness.
What was there to hesitate about? Get married, right now!
The next day, Lin Sifei spent the entire time helping Luo Ke pick out wedding dresses.
A wedding was a unique, once-in-a-lifetime event, so they both took it very seriously, wanting to find the most suitable dresses.
They tried on many gowns, but in the end, Lin Sifei and Luo Ke discussed it and decided to return to original purity and simplicity.2 They chose the simplest pure white wedding dresses, with no excessive embellishments—only the finest lace on the skirts, which gave them their shape.
All the wedding arrangements were kept simple. Lin Sifei could feel that Luo Ke was intentionally downplaying the formality of getting married.
Lin Sifei knew she was accommodating her fear of marriage.
Holding the large skirt of her wedding dress, Lin Sifei suddenly jumped up and threw herself onto Luo Ke’s back, wrapping her arms around her neck.
Luo Ke was startled and quickly reached back to hold her steady.
Lin Sifei smiled at their reflection in the mirror. The wedding dresses enveloped them both, their pure white color and fluffy lace gathering them together until they were almost indistinguishable.
Lin Sifei leaned against her and tilted her head slightly. “As long as you’re by my side, I’m not afraid.”
A flicker of emotion crossed Luo Ke’s eyes. “I’m afraid you’ll get tired.”
“I’m not afraid of getting tired.” Lin Sifei pinched her cheek. “A wedding only happens once. If you don’t let me enjoy it to the fullest, are you planning on doing this a second time?”
Of course, Luo Ke didn’t want that. In the end, they hired a designer for the wedding, but Luo Ke and Lin Sifei were involved in every step, from the venue to the decorations, and many of the ideas were their own.
For instance, during the ceremony, they didn’t walk to the front hand-in-hand. Instead, they walked from opposite ends toward the center.
Pure white light shone down on them. Two women in wedding dresses, holding bouquets, walked step by step toward the middle with smiles on their faces.
There was no priest, no wedding witness.
To the sound of the wedding music, they took each other’s hands, removed their engagement rings, and placed wedding rings on each other’s fingers.
As expected, the wedding was live-streamed across all platforms.
Through the internet, every person watching the live stream became a witness, watching as Luo Ke slipped the ring onto Lin Sifei’s hand, and as Lin Sifei took the other ring to put on Luo Ke’s.
Applause erupted as all the invited guests clapped.
Lin Sifei took the microphone from the flower girl’s hand and said with a smile, “Now we’re going to toss the bouquets! We hope whoever catches them will be as happy as we are.”
She smiled at Luo Ke, and they stood back-to-back, each facing one side of the guests, before tossing the bouquets backward.
The two bouquets crossed paths, tracing two arcs through the air.
Zhao Min was sitting in her seat, filming with her phone, when a bouquet suddenly landed right in her arms.
She froze for a moment, then held the bouquet with a silly grin.
Luo Ke watched the person who caught the bouquet being congratulated, then turned her head to look at Lin Sifei, their fingers intertwining.
Their eyes met, and they saw the love reflected in each other’s gazes.
No words were necessary. They both closed their eyes and pressed their lips together.
At the same time, everyone online watched this moment with excitement.
The light kiss ended quickly, but each of their lips was now imprinted with the other’s lipstick, just like the hems of their wedding dresses mingling together, like their tightly clasped fingers.
