After Transmigrating as a Scumbag Alpha, I Marked the Crazy Hotshot – Chapter 18
by Little PandaDoes it hurt?
The sky was clear as if washed.
Cheng Jiqing sat by the sea. White-crested waves rolled in. She gazed at the boundless horizon, thinking about recent events.
Just as she was thinking, a pair of hands embraced her from behind.
Her entire back sank into softness and warmth. The woman caressed her hand; the touch wasn’t human, more like a cat’s. Fluffy.
A cat? She turned her head—it really was a small, snow-white stray cat.
She excitedly picked it up, then heard the cat speak—”Cheng Jiqing, let me scratch you.”
That slow, cool voice—Bai Xin.
Bai Xin?!
Cheng Jiqing abruptly woke up…
She stared at the pendant light above, letting out a breath. What the hell kind of dream was that? It was killing her1.
It was all Bai Xin’s fault for that text message last night.
【You can scratch back.】
Just one look at it had given her nightmares all night.
She hadn’t scratched back yet, but she’d almost gotten scratched again in the dream.
She mentally rewound the dream, pausing at the image of being held from behind. Cheng Jiqing’s heart suddenly hammered faster for a few seconds.
If Bai-jie found out she’d turned her into a little kitty in her dream and done that, wouldn’t she beat her to death?
But besides this dream, Cheng Jiqing remembered something else about the events at the villa that day—she decided to go see Zeng Lu.
Cheng Jiqing had Yu Lan bring a laptop to check stocks. There was one pharmaceutical company she’d been watching for a long time.
These past two days were a good entry point2. She invested some of the money from her card and used some more to buy a few funds3.
Beyond that, Cheng Jiqing also did a simple analysis of all the current online talent agencies, their resources, artists, etc. She picked a few most suitable ones, planning to observe them closely in preparation for the future.
Sometimes Cheng Jiqing would pause, look at the unfamiliar room, and feel a sense of unreality, followed by emotion.
It seemed she was really going to start living here.
At 8 PM, Cheng Jiqing changed into a white tank top and jeans, choosing black high heels for going out.
She and Zeng Lu had arranged to meet at Sheng Hao. Some ‘familiar’ people would also be there. She couldn’t be bothered dealing with the original host’s pack of hangers-on4, so she avoided the time everyone else was eating together.
She set the time and had Yu Lan wait in the car.
Straight up to the dedicated KTV area on the third floor.
Heavy metal decor, dimmer lighting than elsewhere, with spotlights overhead. Quite a few people had arrived.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, Zeng Lu, in a strapless red dress, came up to her: “What’s wrong? So I blocked your car that day? Why the long face?”
Zeng Lu’s gaze lingered briefly on Cheng Jiqing’s tight waist and hips. She stepped closer: “At least I let you have a taste of something sweet, right? You wouldn’t be so heartless towards me, would you?”
Cheng Jiqing moved her hand away, her expression cool. “I ask you for something small, and you’re unwilling.”
Zeng Lu smiled. Although she was a B-rank Omega, her looks, figure, and charm were exceptional in their circle. She navigated both the business world and the circles of the second generation5 with great success6.
Only Cheng Jiqing showed no sexual interest in her whatsoever.
At first, she thought Cheng Jiqing wasn’t capable7. Now, she increasingly wanted to try what this S-rank Alpha tasted like.
Zeng Lu’s arm brushed lightly against smooth skin as she linked arms with Cheng Jiqing. “I’d give you anything you want, but you have to give me some benefit too, right? Linking arms isn’t too much to ask, is it?”
Cheng Jiqing frowned uncomfortably.
Strangely enough, she didn’t feel this resistant when Bai Xin got close to her.
Just as she was about to pull away again, her gaze suddenly fixed on the hallway ahead.
Bai Xin was standing at the corner and saw Cheng Jiqing too.
White tank top, light blue jeans tightly hugging the Alpha’s body. From a distance, those long, straight legs were particularly eye-catching.
Cheng Jiqing’s hands were also very attractive; her arms looked slender and pale, yet the underlying structure seemed exceptionally strong.
This point, she knew deeply.
She averted her gaze from Cheng Jiqing and Zeng Lu’s linked arms.
Cheng Jiqing had already withdrawn her hand. She watched Bai Xin disappear around the corner. Zeng Lu beside her didn’t seem to have noticed and was still talking, smilingly leading her towards the private room.
At the door, Cheng Jiqing let Zeng Lu go in first, saying she was going to the restroom.
Turning back, she sent Bai Xin a message: 【Wait for me outside the hallway.】
Bai Xin didn’t reply.
Around that corner was only the restroom area, divided into six types for ABO, ending up in the Female A section. The restrooms had individual stalls.
She went in and saw Bai Xin standing at the sinks.
A water-blue, short-sleeved French-style long dress. A strand of long hair slipped down, making her profile seem even more delicate.
No one else was around.
Cheng Jiqing walked over, turned on the faucet next to her to wash her hands, leaning towards Bai Xin. “You’re really bold. Didn’t you say that thing is irregular? You dare to come to a place like this?”
Bai Xin actually tried to avoid using public restrooms as much as possible—after all, A’s and O’s are different—but sometimes it couldn’t be helped.
Water streamed over her fingers. She responded faintly, “Mn.”
“This isn’t related to Zeng Lu, is it?”
Bai Xin looked up from the mirror. “A work dinner. What does it have to do with Zeng Lu?”
Cheng Jiqing: “That’s good then.”
She had been afraid Zeng Lu had invited Bai Xin too; that would have been a big problem.
Bai Xin moved past her to pull out a paper towel.
Cheng Jiqing followed and took one too. Because someone else came in, she leaned close to Bai Xin’s ear: “I came to ask about the inducing agent. Be careful yourself later, and go home early.”
Bai Xin was drying her hands. The Alpha’s warm breath lingered by her ear for a moment. She paused.
“Just worry about yourself.” Bai Xin tilted her head up slightly. “Little… President Cheng.”
Hearing this, Cheng Jiqing said, “Hey, I’ve been putting up with that broken phrasing of yours for a long time.”
“So you still prefer ‘dirty thing’.”
Cheng Jiqing felt this was a pun8, unsure for a moment if it was an insult or something else. She fell silent for two seconds, then suddenly lowered her head. “Miss Bai, you didn’t change my contact name, did you?”
Their eyes met. Because of Cheng Jiqing’s posture, they were even closer.
Bai Xin didn’t retreat. “Little President Cheng, you didn’t delete the video either, did you?”
Cheng Jiqing fell silent.
Bai Xin also fell silent.
The atmosphere was now a bit strange, an inexplicable scent of [censored]9 mixed with the awkwardness.
Just then.
Cheng Jiqing’s phone rang. She took it out; it was Zeng Lu calling.
Cheng Jiqing: “What’s the rush? Coming right away.”
As she spoke, Bai Xin’s eyes watched her like a predator hunting. Cheng Jiqing hung up, but before she could say anything else, Bai Xin suddenly attacked.
Cheng Jiqing reflexively grabbed the wrist reaching for her phone and pushed it back!
Due to inertia, Bai Xin was forced back against the sink counter, her upper body leaning backward, tailbone hitting the edge, aching slightly.
Cheng Jiqing’s tone was normal, but her posture and aura added a sense of pressure. She raised an eyebrow. “Miss Bai, resorting to violence at the drop of a hat10? Could you be any fiercer?”
Hearing this, the faint dimples on Bai Xin’s cheeks appeared briefly in a cool smile. “Aren’t you fierce?”
Her eyelids lowered.
Cheng Jiqing followed her gaze, loosened her grip slightly, and saw that Bai Xin’s wrist had already turned red.
“See? If you’d just talked properly, this wouldn’t have happened. Why resort to force?” Cheng Jiqing looked at the patch of skin, a trace of guilt rising. “…I didn’t do it on purpose. Does it hurt?”
Bai Xin shot her a look, rubbing her wrist as she straightened up.
Someone came out of a stall, giving them a strange look. Cheng Jiqing lowered her voice: “It’s not convenient to talk here. I’ll go over first. We’ll talk about the other things later. I’m serious, be careful yourself.”
It’s not like it’ll always be as coincidental as the parking lot or the cocktail party, with me happening to be there.
Bai Xin had already planned to leave anyway; she usually didn’t stay long at these kinds of gatherings.
Hearing Cheng Jiqing’s soft words, her heart felt calmer than before. She just felt that someone like Cheng Jiqing shouldn’t mix with trash like Zeng Lu.
Even if it was to investigate the inducing agent, it wasn’t necessary.
But since when had Cheng Jiqing become a ‘clean’ person in her eyes?
A hand with distinct knuckles appeared before Bai Xin’s eyes. Cheng Jiqing extended her index finger and poked the back of her hand. “Hurts a lot?”
“What do you think?” Bai Xin retorted.
“Then I’ll let you squeeze back next time.”
Cheng Jiqing returned the content of that day’s text message to her.
Seeing that the look in Bai Xin’s eyes didn’t seem quite as cold, Cheng Jiqing curved her lips. “Really leaving now, ‘kay? Contact you by phone.”
She was afraid Zeng Lu would come looking for her.
Cheng Jiqing left. Bai Xin rotated her wrist, her fingers touching the reddened area—the morning she left the villa, her wrist had been this same color.
It did hurt a bit.
She exited the restroom, planning to grab her bag and leave.
They were in a corner area; the private rooms here were clearly less occupied than those at the front, even passing two empty ones.
Just as she neared her room, the closed door beside her suddenly opened, and Bai Xin was abruptly pulled inside by a hand…
Her knees hit the tile floor. She was pushed down, and looking up, she saw the person sitting on the sofa.
“Bai Xingxing.”
Bai Xingxing swirled the wine in her glass lightly. “Did you really think I believed everything? Someone as cunning as you… that idiot Cheng Jiqing was probably deceived too. So, I thought I should confirm with my own eyes—”
“Are you really an Alpha or an Omega? I originally wanted to use the inducing agent on you again, but unfortunately, Zeng Lu wouldn’t give it to me. However, if you are an Omega, then this dose mixed with Alpha pheromones will work just fine.”
As the words fell, Bai Xin felt a sharp pain in her neck as something was injected into her skin.
The author has something to say:
Don’t worry, it’s fine, Bai-jiejie is the strongest. Plus, she has her wifey.
Cheng 11: Wifey, I’m coming!!!
Marriage is coming soon, just in the next few chapters. This book won’t be too long, focuses more on the relationship, not much big suspense. Please read rationally, be kind with your words, thank you.
