After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 42

I Hope to Walk With Her Forever

A Hundred Years of Good Union1

Lin Sifei calculated that twelve hours had passed, then immediately jumped up, locked the door to Luo Ke’s office, and closed the venetian blinds.

Confirming that it was just the two of them in the office, Lin Sifei leaped onto the desktop and tilted her head up at Luo Ke.

Miao~”

Seeing her big eyes, which were deliberately acting cute2, how could Luo Ke not guess what she was thinking?

“Why have you suddenly appeared at the company?”

Lin Sifei’s eyes widened. She curled herself into a ball and lay before the desk, preventing her from working.

Luo Ke smiled helplessly and stroked her head. “Throwing a tantrum again? What do you want to turn human for?”

Lin Sifei simply tilted her head up again, insistent on becoming human before she would say anything.

Luo Ke sat in her chair, helplessly scooped her up, and gave her a kiss on the mouth.

Almost simultaneously, she felt a weight settle in her hands. Lin Sifei was sitting on her lap with a smile. Luo Ke’s eyes couldn’t help but sweep over her body, which was so white it was dazzling.

It was not the first or second time the two had been in intimate contact, so Lin Sifei did not feel there was anything improper about it at all. Tensing the tips of her toes, she hooked the small blanket that had been placed to one side and casually draped it over her shoulders.

Luo Ke’s arm around her waist couldn’t help but tighten. “You did that on purpose?”

Lin Sifei was in the middle of tidying her hair and looked at her blankly upon hearing the words. After three seconds of processing, Lin Sifei’s face abruptly flushed red, and she raised a hand to cover Luo Ke’s eyes.

“President Luo, how can you always be so dirty-minded?”

“You’re clearly the one who hinted at me first,” Luo Ke said, the hand pinching her waist tightening.

Lin Sifei’s body trembled, and she hurriedly pulled her hand away. “I’m telling you, don’t even think about it. This is the company. You need to be more proper.”

“No one will see,” Luo Ke said, looking at her with a smile.

Lin Sifei was stunned by her lack of a bottom line3 and shot her a glare.

The corners of her eyes were naturally upswept. In the past, Luo Ke had always loved to kiss the corners of her eyes, so being glared at first only piqued her interest more.

Although she had only been teasing Lin Sifei at first, she now felt that what she said made perfect sense.

She leaned over and pressed Lin Sifei down onto the desk, lowering her head to kiss her.

Mmph…” Lin Sifei was also a greedy cat. It was only when Luo Ke’s hands gradually began to misbehave that she abruptly grabbed her arm. “WAIT!”

“What’s wrong?”

Lin Sifei utilized her flexible body, slithering out from under her with a swoosh and pulling the blanket tight.

“Don’t you start. I wanted to talk to you about something serious.”

The top two buttons of Luo Ke’s blouse had already come undone and her lipstick was smudged. Hearing this, she leaned against the desk and asked with a smile, “What serious matter?”

Lin Sifei swallowed, averting her eyes. “Since Zhao Min took care of me before, I was thinking we should go to her place for a meal to thank her.”

“She only took care of you for one night. And I think she’d be happier with a bonus.”

Lin Sifei knew that, of course. Zhao Min was quite afraid of Luo Ke; asking her to be a guest in her home would probably scare Zhao Min to death first. But she had no choice. She had to get Luo Ke over there.

“That may be so, but Zhao Min is an old employee. You should always make her feel like she’s one of a kind. That way, she’ll work even harder in the future.”

Luo Ke was a little puzzled. “I think as long as the salary is reasonable…”

“Why must you be so stubborn with me? Just listen to me.” Lin Sifei bit her lower lip, frowning slightly as she acted spoiled4.

Luo Ke looked at her and smiled helplessly. “Alright, we’ll do as you say.”

Lin Sifei happily threw herself forward, wrapping her arms around her neck and planting a loud smack of a kiss.

The corners of Luo Ke’s lips tilted up slightly. Just as she was about to deepen the kiss, the blanket in her hands suddenly became empty. A cat swiftly slipped out, leaped up to open the door, and jumped onto the secretary’s desk.

Luo Ke, holding the blanket, had a gloomy expression. Surely Xiao Xiao wouldn’t shift her affections after just being looked after for one night.

She followed her out. Zhao Min saw her and immediately stood up. “President Luo.”

Luo Ke gave a slight nod and looked at Lin Sifei. Lin Sifei let out a “miao,” urging her to speak quickly.

Since she had already agreed, Luo Ke could only take a deep breath. “Zhao Min, thank you for helping take care of Xiao Xiao last time. Tonight, I’d like to pay a personal visit to your home to express my gratitude.”

“This…” Zhao Min’s first reaction was to refuse. Why would taking care of a cat require a personal visit of thanks? It was terrifying.

However, she met Luo Ke’s fierce gaze, which carried the strong implication that if she didn’t agree, she would be fired. She shivered. “Of course, President Luo. Do you have any dietary restrictions?”

Luo Ke paused for a moment before replying, “I have no dietary restrictions.”

After she said that, she picked up the happy cat beside her, turned, and went back into the office, leaving a trembling Secretary Zhao to call her parents.

As soon as she entered the office, Luo Ke locked the door from the inside. “You can change back now.”

This time, Lin Sifei rummaged for clothes to put on, then sat comfortably in Luo Ke’s boss chair. “This is quite comfortable.”

Luo Ke smiled faintly, leaning against the desk and watching her quietly.

Lin Sifei played with the chair. Seeing her silence, she also grew quiet. “What’s wrong all of a sudden?”

“Nothing. I was just a bit stunned to suddenly be asked if I had any dietary restrictions. It feels like no one has ever asked me that before,” Luo Ke said with a small laugh.

Lin Sifei’s heart instantly ached for her. “Did no one in the Luo family ever care? Didn’t that Bai Xingrui ever ask?”

“Grandma and the others have always eaten everything, so they probably never thought about it. As for Bai Xingrui, with her temper, she would always insist I try whatever she liked. If I didn’t like it, she would just switch to something else.”

Lin Sifei looked at her smiling face, slowly stood up, and raised a hand to cup her cheek. “I’m sorry, I’ve never asked you either.”

“Don’t apologize.” Luo Ke held her hand. “You, this little cat, you only ever eat my food and drink my drinks. Naturally, those are things I like. Is there even room for you to ask?”

Lin Sifei suddenly raised an eyebrow and leaned into her embrace. “But I still know what dietary restrictions you have.”

“I do?”

Lin Sifei smiled, picked up Luo Ke’s phone, brought up the message page with Zhao Min, and started sending her a message.

“What are you sending?” Luo Ke leaned her head over to look, but Lin Sifei dodged to prevent her from seeing. “You can look later. I’m not done yet.”

Luo Ke was helpless and could only wait by her side.

Lin Sifei thought as she typed, not even having been this serious during casting selections.

Luo Ke narrowed her eyes and suddenly reached out to snatch the phone. Lin Sifei cried “Hey!” and tried to grab it back, but Luo Ke extended her arm to keep it away from her, taking the opportunity to glance at the words on the screen.

【No restrictions, but some preferences.】

【Doesn’t eat sweets. Use less oil and salt. Not a fan of spicy food but a little is fine.】

【Doesn’t like heavy meat dishes, prefers seafood and chicken.】

【Not a big fan of soy products, but can eat a little if the tofu is prepared well.】

“No peeking, I’m not finished!”

Lin Sifei stepped onto the chair and finally managed to snatch the phone back. However, Zhao Min had already replied with an extremely fake smiling sticker5.

Lin Sifei looked at the message she had sent and silently put the phone back down. Forget it. If she said any more, Zhao Min would probably become withdrawn6.

Behind her, Luo Ke wrapped her arms around her. “I didn’t expect your observations of me to be so thorough.”

Lin Sifei proudly lifted her chin. “Well, I do care about you, just a tiny little bit.”

She used her fingers to indicate a length of about three centimeters. Luo Ke let out a puchi of laughter.

The two stayed in the office until the end of the workday. Lin Sifei changed back into a cat and perched on Luo Ke’s shoulder.

Luo Ke walked to the secretary’s desk and tapped the table in front of Zhao Min. “We can go.”

Zhao Min gave an awkward but polite smile. “Alright, let’s go now.”

Since both Zhao Min and Luo Ke had cars, and everyone had to go to work separately the next day, they each drove their own car.

Upon arriving at the residential complex, Luo Ke looked up at the surrounding high-rises with a somewhat different feeling.

Zhao Min had been to Luo Ke’s home and knew she lived in a villa. She scratched her head. “President Luo might not be used to this. These are all commercial apartments7, and the space isn’t as large.”

Zhao Min spoke as she led her into the elevator and up the floors.

“This is it,” Zhao Min said, opening the door.

Father Zhao and Mother Zhao were both busy in the kitchen. They only came out when they heard the door.

Father Zhao smiled and walked forward to shake Luo Ke’s hand. “You must be President Luo. Hello, hello.”

“Hello, Uncle.” Luo Ke said as she handed over the gift in her hands. “I bought this on the way. I hope you don’t mind.”

“You came, that’s enough. There’s no need to bring things.” Although he said this, Father Zhao didn’t refuse much, placing it to the side and inviting Luo Ke to sit.

Zhao Min took off her coat and nodded at Luo Ke with a smile. “You two chat. I’ll go help my mom with the food.”

With that, she slipped into the kitchen. Father Zhao chuckled helplessly. “Look at this child. She doesn’t even think to stay and talk with her boss, just runs off to her mom.”

“Uncle, you don’t have to be so formal. After work, I’m not really a boss.”

The Zhao family’s apartment wasn’t large, and the living room was close to the kitchen. As Luo Ke spoke with Father Zhao, she could hear Mother Zhao’s voice scolding her daughter from the other room.

“Look at you, hurry up and take the fruit over.”

“You think just washing it is enough? Cut it up and arrange it on a plate.”

“So clumsy. Does your boss drink tea or coffee?”

Zhao Min was being nagged to death. “Mom, you don’t have to be like this. Our boss is very good at separating her public and private life. Even if you just give her plain boiled water today, she won’t make things difficult for me8 tomorrow.”

“What do you know? Hurry up!”

Zhao Min got a slap on the back from Mother Zhao and walked out carrying the fruit platter. “President Luo, have some fruit.”

“Alright, thank you. Please don’t trouble yourself.”

Hearing this, Zhao Min sat on the sofa. “President Luo, did my dad say anything bad about me?”

Luo Ke nodded seriously. “He did. Said you were clumsy and careless in your work.”

Zhao Min’s face immediately crumpled, and she looked at Father Zhao with grief and indignation. “Dad! How could you say that about me? My carefully crafted image!”

Luo Ke stroked the cat’s head. “Rest assured, I am well aware of how serious you are at work.”

Although she said that, Zhao Min and Father Zhao still bickered back and forth, only calling a truce when Mother Zhao announced that dinner was ready.

Father Zhao and Zhao Min dutifully went into the kitchen, carrying plates to the dining table.

Luo Ke stood up, feeling a bit awkward. Should she also get up to help carry the dishes?

Mother Zhao caught her movement with a glance and waved her hand. “You’re the guest, just sit there. We can get it.”

“You are my elders.”

“Don’t be so formal.” Mother Zhao waved her hand with a cheerful smile and quickly brought all the dishes to the table.

With a bowl of rice for each person, they sat around the table. Lin Sifei, as a cat, was served canned cat food as usual.

Watching Luo Ke get bombarded with questions by Mother and Father Zhao about her family background, whether she was married, and if she was in a relationship, Lin Sifei felt a little more balanced.

Canned cat food it is, then. This was all for Luo Ke’s sake.

Worth it!

Just as she was eating her cat food, Mother Zhao exclaimed, “You have a girlfriend?”

The fish in Lin Sifei’s mouth instantly got stuck in her throat. She had to shake her head to swallow it down. She looked up and glared at Luo Ke. How could you say everything? These people might not be able to accept it.

Luo Ke nodded seriously. “She is my girlfriend. We’ve known each other for some time.”

Zhao Min chewed on her chopsticks. Hearing this, her interest was immediately piqued. “Is it that one who came to the company last time—Miss Lin.”

Luo Ke gave an “en” of acknowledgement, a smile appearing on her face. “It’s her.”

Zhao Min clapped her hands boisterously. “Then I wish President Luo and Miss Lin a hundred years of good union.”

“Thank you,” Luo Ke said with a nod.

Mother Zhao looked at Luo Ke in shock, then at her own daughter. “This… a girl with a girl, what’s so good about that? This…”

Zhao Min immediately frowned at her, signaling her to say less.

“There’s nothing particularly good about it. I’ve never been in a relationship before, but I know that I should like her quite a lot. I’m happy when I see her, and I want to be with her always. She is like a miracle that suddenly appeared before me, throwing tantrums and acting spoiled every day, but also caring for me every day. When I am with her, I feel that this world is pretty good.”

Silence fell over the dining table. Father Zhao gave a dry cough. “Well said. Thinking back, when Zhao Min’s mother and I first got together, no one approved either. In truth, a relationship is a matter between two people. We’ve lived very well all these years, haven’t we?”

Luo Ke gave a light laugh and turned her head slightly to look at her side. “I hope to be able to continue on like this with her forever.”

On the chair, Lin Sifei covered her beet-red ears, her eyes shut tight.

Ah! Luo Ke must have done that on purpose. But seeing how sincere she was, it’s not like I couldn’t consider a hundred years of good union.
