After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 38

Wake Up

The President’s Aura

Luo Ke looked at the orange box on the bed and raised her eyebrows slightly. “Did you directly conjure up the next surprise?”

She took Lin Sifei’s hand. “Let’s see what is in the box.”

Lin Sifei smiled awkwardly, pressing her hand on the lid of the box. “Better not. Before, every time in the dream, I woke up very quickly. If I don’t enjoy it to the fullest, it will be uncomfortable instead.”

Luo Ke looked at her and curled her lips. “But we can continue after waking from the dream.”

Lin Sifei immediately shook her head, her eyes darting around. “I am very busy lately. I have to prepare for filming. I need to save up all my transformation time.”

“Then I will just open it and take one look.” Her hand tried to reach for the lid again.

Lin Sifei directly knelt and sat on the box. “If you see it, since inside is definitely what you like most, then the next surprise will lose the meaning of a surprise.”

Luo Ke sank into contemplation while Lin Sifei watched her nervously.

“Alright then, you have persuaded me.”

Lin Sifei let out a long sigh of relief, but was suddenly tackled onto the bed by Luo Ke. Her face turned red instantly, her toes curling slightly. “You… you still want to?”

Luo Ke closed her eyes, embracing her waist. “Just let me hold you like this, let me hold you for a while.”

Lin Sifei extended her hands and hugged Luo Ke’s waist and back. She parted her lips and softly sang a lullaby.

The soft female voice dragged out soothing tunes, using lyrics to shape a fairytale world, making one sink into it.

Luo Ke’s eyelids gradually closed, and her breathing evened out.

Lin Sifei lowered her head, looking at the slight arc of her lips and her relaxed brows and eyes; she couldn’t help but feel happy in the bottom of her heart. She lightly kissed her on the forehead. “Have a good dream.”

She closed her eyes and slept embracing her.

When morning came, Lin Sifei felt very heavy, pressed until she couldn’t catch her breath. She opened her eyes and saw one of Luo Ke’s arms pressing down on her body.

She opened her mouth to exhale a breath, kicking her legs to burrow forward.

Luo Ke was a light sleeper. Sensing the movement under her hand, she slowly opened her eyes. Seeing Lin Sifei struggling with difficulty, she casually scooped her up, pulling her into her embrace.

She rubbed against the kitty. “Sleep a little longer, it’s still early.”

Lin Sifei rubbed her eyes and glanced at the clock. She could still sleep for another hour. Usually, it was Luo Ke who got up early; unexpectedly, today it was Luo Ke’s turn to laze in bed.

She covered her mouth and smiled, deliberately teasing her by extending her claws to stamp a seal on her face. The kitty’s meat pads were very soft. The cool, soft meat pads poked here and there on her face; the tactile sensation was a bit strange and a little ticklish.

Luo Ke couldn’t help laughing out loud, poking her butt. “Let me sleep a little longer.”

Lin Sifei slept on her chest, staring at her sleeping face. After thinking for a moment, she rolled to the side and turned into human form.

She brushed aside her long hair, lowered her head, and with a smack1, kissed Luo Ke on the face.

Luo Ke opened her sleepy, bleary eyes and looked at her.

Lin Sifei lay prone by the bedside and smiled. “You sleep a little longer today. I will go pack your work things and help bring breakfast to the table.”

Luo Ke smiled and tilted her head up. “Xiaoxiao is so good.”

Lin Sifei pouted. “Call me Feifei.”

“What is the difference?” Luo Ke muttered a sentence, covered her head, and continued to sleep.

Lin Sifei stood by the bed with her hands on her hips. She couldn’t exactly say she was eating the vinegar2 of her own cat form.

She held it in for a long time, helplessly scratched her hair, put on clothes, and went downstairs.

When she went down, Wu Ma3 hadn’t left yet and was cooking congee. Seeing Lin Sifei come down, she looked her up and down in astonishment. “Miss Lin, you stayed at Miss Luo’s home last night?”

Luo Ke froze for a moment before reacting. Last time, they seemed to have said they were friends.

“Ah, yes. Occasionally I come here to stay. Since I am also alone, having Luo Ke’s company is more comfortable.”

“Is that so?” Wu Ma lifted the lid to check the congee and turned off the fire. “Lately, I haven’t seen Xiaoxiao. The cat food in the refrigerator doesn’t seem to decrease much. I don’t know if she is sick; why is she eating so little?”

Lin Sifei’s eyes darted around. “Because lately President Luo takes Xiaoxiao to the company. The people at the company feed her, so she doesn’t eat when she comes home.”

“Then I am relieved.” Wu Ma pointed to the warming box on the table. “The baozi4 and jianjiao5 are inside. When Miss Luo gets up in a while, you two eat together. I was wondering why President Luo asked me to buy two portions.”

Lin Sifei smelled the scent of the congee, and her stomach began to rumble. “Thank you.”

“I’ll be leaving first.”

“Goodbye.” Lin Sifei saw her to the door and waved enthusiastically.

She closed the door, plated the baozi and jianjiao, and ladled out the congee. “Time to call Luo Ke to get up.”

She ran upstairs and quietly pushed open the bedroom door. Luo Ke was still lying on the bed, her back facing her.

She laughed, suddenly pouncing up and pressing down on Luo Ke. “Get up, get up!”

Luo Ke rubbed her eyes. “I know, I’m getting up right now.”

She said the words, but she didn’t move at all.

Lin Sifei pinched her face to wake her up. “You can’t sleep anymore. You have work today; you need to hurry and adjust your time difference.”

She pried at Luo Ke’s eyes, forcefully making her open them.

Luo Ke helplessly extended her hand. “You pull me up.”

Lin Sifei straightened her upper body and grabbed her two wrists. “Hei you!”

Luo Ke followed the momentum to sit up, rubbed her eyes, and kissed Lin Sifei on the cheek.

Lin Sifei happily pulled her arm to go downstairs and eat.

“Is the matter with Bai’erluo resolved? How did it happen?”

Luo Ke pressed the center of her brow. “Second Uncle acted recklessly and caused this issue. He suddenly sought out Bai’erluo to discuss cooperation, wanting to expand the market, with us bearing the cost of the excess part. Fortunately, the other party kept an extra mind and conducted a second verification. However, people won’t fail to use leverage delivered to their doorstep; they listed a pile of losses for me to bear. We wrangled back and forth for a long time, and still have to inspect and verify.”

“Then is it resolved now?”

Luo Ke looked up and saw Lin Sifei’s large eyes filled with worry. She amusingly rubbed her head. “Rest assured. Both sides took a step back; the cooperation will continue.”

Lin Sifei let out an “Oh,” and calmly complained, “That Second Uncle of yours is really something too. Last time at the company he directly smashed a cup, and this time he took the initiative to discuss cooperation without authorization.”

Hearing her words, Luo Ke’s movements stirring the congee in her bowl slowed down. “Second Uncle has no business talent. The cooperation he thinks up always has problems.”

“I feel you should contact a psychologist.” Lin Sifei bit into a jianjiao. “I mean the literal meaning. Could he have some inferiority complex inside, causing mania, depression, or the like? These things cannot be ignored.”

“It shouldn’t be, right?” Luo Ke laughed once.

Lin Sifei put down her chopsticks and looked at her solemnly. “I am speaking the truth. Many people around me in the past were like this. They looked like they had no problems at all, at most a bad temper, but in the end, many turned out to have mental illnesses, and some even committed suicide.”

Regarding mental illness, non-professionals really couldn’t say for sure. Luo Ke was also a bit worried. In her impression, although Second Uncle couldn’t be entirely without barriers like he was with his own birth daughter, he had always been very gentle toward her. For him to be like this now… could there really be a problem?

“I will find an opportunity to contact a doctor to go over.”

Lin Sifei smiled, picked up a baozi, and placed it on her plate. “This kind of thing is better done sooner rather than later.”

She smiled, her eyes curving slightly.

After finishing breakfast, Lin Sifei turned into a cat and jumped into Luo Ke’s car. She asked Luo Ke to drop her off at the entertainment company to have a talk about this “female lead number two” issue.

Luo Ke started the car, looking helplessly at the kitty sitting on the seat like a lord. “You asked me to go just to back you up, right? If others see me standing together with you, even if just to leave a good impression on me, they won’t refuse you.”

Lin Sifei let out a meow. This child is teachable.

“You really are a fox exploiting the tiger’s might6.” Luo Ke laughed, turning the steering wheel to merge into the traffic flow.

Close to the company, Lin Sifei burrowed into the back seat, turned into a human, and changed her clothes. She clasped sunglasses onto her face. She waited for Luo Ke to park the car, opened the door, extended her long legs, and bent her waist to exit.

She glanced at the surrounding security guards, crossing her arms to wait for Luo Ke.

Luo Ke parked the car in a nearby spot and walked over carrying a computer bag.

Lin Sifei shot her a glance. “Why are you still carrying a computer bag? Aura! Where is the aura?”

Hearing this, Luo Ke slowly raised her eyes, fixing her gaze on her. “Do I need you to remind me?”

Lin Sifei’s pupils shrank, and her calves trembled slightly. She slowly gave a thumbs up. Worthy of being a Domineering President.

The dress Lin Sifei picked today was a light purple long skirt. Luo Ke was in all black as usual. The two walked side by side into the company’s main gate.

At the entrance, Luo Ke put her work card into the machine and swiped. The machine automatically recognized her clearance and opened the gate.

At the same time, the backend staff immediately sent a message to the entertainment company’s Old Boss, notifying him that the President had come to inspect.

The Old Boss was originally sitting in his office looking at reports, counting the few stars who could barely make money, sighing and groaning. The secretary suddenly came in to notify him that someone from above had come to inspect, scaring him into immediately stuffing the reports into the drawer.

He grabbed his suit jacket and ran out, grabbing the secretary’s arm as he passed the desk. “Immediately, right now, produce a good-looking report for me. Remember, no faking allowed.”

The secretary watched him run far away, sighing helplessly. “The financial reports are just this ugly; how can I make them look good?”

Lin Sifei looked at the artists passing by occasionally in the company, feeling they were all just so-so. There was also a group—she didn’t know if it was a boy band or a group of ordinary male artists—sitting together playing games and cursing loudly.

Lin Sifei listened to them shouting insults at the girls opposite them, rolled her eyes, patted Luo Ke’s shoulder, and pointed over there. “Does this kind rely entirely on packaging?”

She shook her head. “This won’t do. Having words and actions differ in daily life is very easily discovered.”

Luo Ke frowned and looked over there, silently turning her head back. “In a while, make them undergo internal rectification.”

The Old Boss over there saw this scene as soon as he arrived. He was so scared he almost fainted and rushed up to take away their phones. “You few! Instead of practicing, you are playing games here? Does the company spend money to let you play games? Go practice!”

The few big boys looked from one to the other, and walked away dejected.

Lin Sifei curled her lips. “With just this level, no wonder performance is so poor.”

The Old Boss was walking over with a smile on his face. Just happening to hear this sentence, his mask cracked instantly. He took a deep breath and re-maintained his smile. “President Luo, you came to inspect?”

“No.” Luo Ke turned her head to look at Lin Sifei.

Lin Sifei took a step forward. “Do you have any actors here who just became adults and have pretty good acting skills?”

“This, we do have.” The Old Boss clapped his hands. “I will call her over right now.”

He immediately picked up the phone to call someone. “Who? President Luo, yes, precisely our headquarters’… okay, okay. How long do you need? Half an hour, okay, okay.”

He hung up the phone and leaned forward obsequiously. “President Luo, she will arrive in half an hour. Otherwise, why don’t you look around our company first?”

Luo Ke glanced at Lin Sifei. Lin Sifei met her line of sight, understanding her meaning.

This was asking her if she wanted to look.

Lin Sifei pouted and thought for a moment, then raised her fingers, making an ‘OK’ gesture. Just right, she could take this opportunity to understand the company situation; she could help out later on.
