After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 22

Find Her a Boyfriend

Being protective of one’s own1 isn’t a good habit, you know.

“Xiao Xiao?”

Luo Ke approached the cat tree, stood on her tiptoes, and reached out to pet the cat in the little house.

Lin Sifei, seeing the hand extend toward her, reflexively swiped a paw at it.

“Hiss—” Luo Ke sucked in a sharp breath and pulled her hand back. Three bloody scratches now adorned it.

She sighed, scratched her hair, and said in a soft voice, “Xiao Xiao, don’t be angry anymore. I’ve already opened the canned food and the dried fish for you. If you don’t want to see me, I’ll just stay upstairs.”

Afterward, Lin Sifei heard muffled footsteps gradually ascending the stairs.

She poked her head out and looked around. Luo Ke was really gone.

Did Luo Ke really just let her off the hook like that? Isn’t it terrifying to have a cat in the house that isn’t actually a cat?

She jumped down, leaped over the can of cat food, and scurried to the tablet next to the coffee table to look at the data that had been recovered on it. This hacker big bro was seriously thorough; he’d even restored her previous search history.

She clutched her head in devastation. She had searched for Yan Yafei, Yuan Mo, and several of her other brothers on here, and had even followed the entertainment company from the plot.

She felt she had no attachment left to life2.

Lin Sifei flopped onto the sofa, sighing in distress. Before she knew it, she had gradually fallen asleep to the aroma of canned cat food.

In the room on the second floor, Luo Ke watched the surveillance feed. The sight of Xiao Xiao patting the tablet in despair made her chuckle. As she watched, she picked up the iodine on the side and poured it onto her arm and the back of her hand, disinfecting the claw marks.

Xiao Xiao must have just realized she’s been exposed, she thought. I wonder if she’ll try to run away.

Luo Ke was a little worried. All the windows in the house were locked, but she didn’t know if Xiao Xiao could open them.

Just as she was worrying, she saw the cat lying on the sofa flip over. She immediately sat up straight, only to see the kitty scratch its belly and fall back asleep, snoring softly.

She couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Placing the laptop on the nightstand, she lay down on the bed, watching the cat’s sleeping face on the screen. She rested her head on her pillow, raised a hand to touch the empty space beside it, and snuggled into it.

Sigh. I hope Xiao Xiao stops being angry. It’s no fun sleeping without her.

Luo Ke suffered from insomnia again, only managing to fall asleep in the early hours of the morning when she could no longer hold out. A white mist once again enveloped her. Luo Ke’s slightly furrowed brow smoothed out as she floated relaxedly in the air.

“Meow!”

Hearing the familiar cry, she snapped her eyes open to see a four-legged beast descending from the sky, its four paws kicking her right in the stomach.

Luo Ke let out a muffled grunt as she slammed heavily onto the ground.

“Xiao Xiao, that hurts.”

Lin Sifei tossed her head, snorted coldly, and jumped off of her. She leaped onto the nightstand and looked down at her from above.

“Trash. Shameless. Wasting my sympathy, ptui!”

Hearing her speak, Luo Ke sat up, rubbing her stomach, knowing this was another dream. “Xiao Xiao, I was really in the wrong this time. I’m sorry.”

Lin Sifei squinted at her. “Wrong about what?”

“The affair was their wrongdoing. You did nothing wrong by exposing it and letting my aunt see her husband’s true colors. It was completely out of line for me to blame you without asking for the reason.”

Lin Sifei’s lips pursed as she looked at the other woman’s righteous expression, and she sighed helplessly. The apology itself was fine, but the premise was so strange. She had done it for revenge, not to expose any “true colors.”

She wanted to directly expose the true colors of that whole Luo clan, but Luo Ke seemed to respect them a great deal.

“Luo Ke, what kind of people do you think your grandmother, your First Aunt, Second Aunt, and Second Uncle are?”

Luo Ke hadn’t expected her to ask this and was stunned for a moment. “I think they’re all pretty good. They raised me since I was little. Grandma is very strict, but it’s to make me a worthy successor. First Aunt and Second Aunt like to fight over favor and eat vinegar3 and gossip, and they always end up buying fake jewelry, but they still care about me. Second Uncle… he’s not very capable and is always meddling in various matters at the company and installing his own people, but I can keep him in check. Saying it out loud would hurt too many feelings.”

“Do you think your First Aunt gives you shoddy jewelry on purpose to rip you off?”

Luo Ke shrugged, tilting her head helplessly. “I’ve thought about it, but they properly handed over my father’s enterprise to me. Why would they be greedy over such a small thing?”

Lin Sifei frowned. “If I told you they’ve never once thought of you as family, would you believe me?”

“No,” Luo Ke said, staring into her eyes.

Lin Sifei looked at her dark eyes and flopped down in defeat. She could see Luo Ke’s resolve.
“You really don’t think your family is a little strange? You think that’s what caring is?”

“Human families are definitely different from you monsters’ families.”

Lin Sifei sent an eye-knife4 flying her way. “Who are you calling a monster?!”

Luo Ke covered her mouth and laughed. “I misremembered. A Flerken.”5

Hearing those three words come out of her mouth was so cringey that Lin Sifei’s toes curled up.

She sighed helplessly and propped her chin in her paws, falling into thought. Those people had lived with Luo Ke for over twenty years. She was just a cat who had been with her for a few months, and there were so many of them on the other side. Rashly speaking ill of the Luo family might just push Luo Ke further into their arms.

Luo Ke was the type to fiercely defend her own. She had directly challenged her Second Uncle in the office before; she would probably be the same when it came to defending her family.

The more Lin Sifei thought about it, the more difficult the road ahead seemed.

Luo Ke saw her tightly furrowed brow, crawled over on her knees, and petted her head. “Human rules are different from yours. It’s normal for you to misunderstand. In the future, you’ll see that they’re pretty good people.”

Lin Sifei shot her a look of hating the iron for not becoming steel6 and sighed. She pushed her face away with a paw and began to pace in circles. She had to first expose her to a normal family, like Zhao Min, Special Assistant Lin… or finding her a boyfriend/girlfriend wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

Lin Sifei was lost in thought when the mist began to surge up again. Luo Ke quickly opened her mouth, “Xiao Xiao, have you forgiven me?”

Lin Sifei only had time to glance at her before the dream ended.

Sunlight streamed in. Luo Ke sat up in bed and scratched her hair. What did that look from Xiao Xiao mean? Forgiven? Not forgiven?

She heaved a long sigh as her phone vibrated twice. She was about to harass her secretary but opened WeChat7 and saw a constant stream of messages in the work group chat.

She tapped it open and saw it was flooded with pictures of a Ragdoll cat. She scrolled up and saw a photo of Yuan Mo with the Ragdoll, sourced from Yuan Mo’s Moments8.

She opened Yuan Mo’s Moments and, sure enough, saw a nine-square grid of photos dominating the feed—various solo shots of the cat and pictures of him with the cat.

The latest post read: Matchmaking. Looking for a wife for my handsome Shuai Shuai. All beautiful cats are welcome. Let’s set up a time for a blind date. The most important thing is that the cats get along.

Luo Ke tapped open her chat with Yuan Mo. 【Do cats need to get married?】

【Yuan Mo: They probably get lonely too. It’s good to have a companion.】

Luo Ke frowned. Does Xiao Xiao get lonely spending every day with me?

She hesitated for a moment, then sighed. 【Let’s set a time for today. I’ll bring Xiao Xiao over.】

【Yuan Mo: Okay. How about in a little while? I’m at home right now.】

Luo Ke tossed her phone aside and covered her face in resignation. Find a boyfriend for Xiao Xiao. Hopefully, that will make her stop being angry.

The author has something to say:

Feifei: Let her understand what a normal family is, find a partner for her.

President Luo: I want her to stop being angry, let’s find her a boyfriend.

Their minds work in the same way~
