After Transmigrating into the Villain’s Cat, I Dominated the Entertainment Circle – Chapter 21

Completely Exposed

I Was Wrong

Lin Sifei returned to the living room, leaped onto Luo Ke’s lap, and curled herself into a ball.

She rubbed against Luo Ke’s stomach and let out a soft, weak meow. Luo Ke slowly stroked her fur, her attention inevitably drawn to her.

“Xiao Ke, what do you think?”

“Hm?” Luo Ke looked up, her expression indifferent. “I’ll listen to Grandma.”

The old madam smiled and turned to wave at someone behind her. “Shengping, come quickly. Xiao Ke isn’t blaming you anymore.”

Luo Shengping approached with a smile and waved his hand. “I was in the wrong at the company last time. Xiao Ke, please don’t take it to heart.”

The corner of Luo Ke’s lip twitched almost imperceptibly before she raised an eyebrow. “Second Uncle is being too polite. Of course I wouldn’t blame you. It’s just that everyone at the company is shrewd. If I don’t put on a bit of a show, it’s not good for keeping morale stable.”

“You’re right,” the old madam said, patting her hand. “But we’re all family. There are no overnight grudges1.”

Lin Sifei pouted. No wonder they’d asked Luo Ke to come over. The main reason was probably this Luo Shengping. Last time, Luo Ke had directly thrown a look2 and warned him to be mindful of his position, so they were worried about ruffling her fur3.

It seemed these people hadn’t managed to gain control of the Luo family’s business and were still relying on Luo Ke, using family ties to guilt-trip her.

Now that they had achieved their goal, they wouldn’t keep Luo Ke for long. Lin Sifei kneaded her paws, looking forward to exposing those chat messages. She lifted her head, meowed, and stretched out a paw to bat at Luo Ke’s arm.

“What’s wrong?” Luo Ke lowered her head and gave her a scratch.

Lin Sifei continued to meow softly, rubbing against her arm as her paws slid around.

Luo Ke scooped her up and pressed her against her chest. “Be good.”

Lin Sifei’s eyes suddenly went wide. Again! What was with this Luo Ke?

She stretched her paws out to push away, feeling something even softer than her own paw pads underneath. Her cheeks grew slightly hot, and she averted her gaze.

Watching the restless cat, the old madam frowned, a little annoyed. “This cat is probably tired of being cooped up. It was trying to run outside just now. Alright, you’re busy too. Take her home.”

Luo Ke rubbed the cat’s head, then stood and bowed to Old Madam Luo and Luo Bihua to take her leave. “I’ll be going then.”

Once out of the villa, Luo Ke lay back in the passenger seat and stretched.

Luo Ke glanced at her. “Doesn’t Xiao Xiao like Grandma and the others?”

Lin Sifei’s eyes flicked toward her, then turned away nonchalantly as she continued to stretch. She doesn’t understand, she doesn’t understand.

With a yawn, Lin Sifei sat up and began searching everywhere for her tablet.

“What are you looking for?” The light turned red, and Luo Ke pulled out the tablet. “This?”

Lin Sifei meowed and lifted a front paw to tap the device.

Luo Ke handed it to her, rubbing her head helplessly before tucking the tablet into her grasp.

Lin Sifei pounced on the tablet, shot Luo Ke a look, and then jumped into the back seat with the tablet case in her mouth.

Luo Ke watched her in the rearview mirror and chuckled. “It’s not like I’m going to snatch it from you.”

Lin Sifei’s tail started wagging, and she hid the tablet a little deeper. Just in case, this was an operation Luo Ke couldn’t be allowed to see. The drive home was long, so there should be enough time.

Lying in the back seat, Lin Sifei received the file and found someone online who took on odd jobs. Back when she was in the entertainment industry, there was no shortage of people who did smear campaigns, and Lin Sifei had come into contact with these kinds of leakers through her manager.

They were highly discreet, hard to trace, and tight-lipped. Perfect for helping her spread the information and preventing the Luo family from tracing the IP back to Luo Ke. That would be a real joke.

【CoolCatCub: Taking jobs?】

【KingOfLeaks: Honest with young and old4, no charge for smear campaigns [smiley face]】

【CoolCatCub: Alright, stop pretending. This isn’t for the entertainment industry. Help me pass on some messages. The price is negotiable.】

【KingOfLeaks: K】

【CoolCatCub: [File Transfer] Remember to send it to this number: 123xxxx45】

Closing the message window, Lin Sifei hopped up and looked at Luo Ke, who was driving. Now it was time to get the money. Luo Ke’s phone was resting in the center console, and she quietly crept toward it.

Luo Ke’s hand clamped down on the scruff of her neck. “What are you doing?”

Lin Sifei meowed, a pair of cat eyes looking at her with a watery gaze.

Luo Ke sighed helplessly. “Is the tablet not enough for you to play with anymore?”

“Meeow~”

“Alright, alright, take it.” Luo Ke unlocked her phone and handed it over.

Lin Sifei’s eyes lit up. She took it in her mouth, went to the back seat, and happily transferred the money to KingOfLeaks, then deleted the transaction text message.

It was only a few tens of thousands of yuan, a trivial amount compared to Luo Ke’s life. She patted her chest, her conscience beating steadily.

When they got home, Luo Ke picked her up and confiscated her phone and tablet. “I really need to take you to the doctor for a check-up. If you really get nearsighted, you’ll be the one to suffer.”

Carrying the cat to the sofa, Luo Ke looked at Lin Sifei and suddenly broke into a smile, burying her face in her belly for a good nuzzle.

By now, Lin Sifei was immune to this gesture. You get used to it after enough nuzzling.

After getting her cat-huffing fix to recharge, Luo Ke planned to deal with some company documents.

Lin Sifei, thinking about the chickens flying and dogs jumping5 at the Luo residence, happily followed her into the study.

Luo Ke was handling a couple of files and discussing the upcoming schedule and tasks with Special Assistant Lin when the phone beside her began vibrating nonstop.

She frowned slightly. Seeing it was a call from Old Madam Luo, she raised a hand to signal for Special Assistant Lin to wait.

“Hello, Grandma, what’s wrong?”

“Ah!”

A scream came through the phone, followed by the sound of a woman cursing.

Luo Ke was startled. “Grandma, what happened?”

“Alright, what are you all shouting for! What a disgrace!” the old madam snapped before returning to the call. “Your eldest aunt and the others are arguing.”

Luo Ke was slightly taken aback. “Why are they arguing? And in front of you?”

“You don’t know?”

Luo Ke was even more confused. “Know what? Weren’t things fine when I left?”

“Oh, then it’s nothing,” Old Madam Luo said with a laugh. “They just saw a piece of clothing that they both liked, and there was only one left.”

“They can get into a fight like this over a piece of clothing? Grandma, don’t hide it from me. If something happened, let me see if I can help.”

But Old Madam Luo insisted on not letting her get involved. “I can handle it, don’t you worry. It’s a small matter.”

After saying that, she hung up the phone directly.

Luo Ke stared at the phone, her brow furrowed. Just as she was thinking about whether to call back and ask, her eyes fell on the cat staring at her from the side.

Having spent so much time together, Luo Ke could already read Lin Sifei’s expressions. Right now, she clearly had the smug look of someone who had just gotten her revenge. Thinking back to how she had uncharacteristically hidden in the back seat in the car, happily wagging her tail…

Luo Ke placed her hands on either side of Lin Sifei. “Xiao Xiao, was this your doing?”

Lin Sifei’s tail flicked, and she lifted her chin. That’s right, it was me. So what? Aren’t I super amazing?

Seeing her self-satisfied look, Luo Ke’s anger flared. “Why did you provoke them into fighting? Just because they don’t like you?”

Lin Sifei watched her angry face, her tail freezing mid-air as she stared back, stunned.

“Still looking at me! You feel wronged now? I spoil you, and this is how you turn out? From now on, are you going to get revenge every time something doesn’t go your way? I never realized you were so scheming. You managed to make them fight just by using a cat’s body.”

Luo Ke took a deep breath and looked down at Lin Sifei, meeting her tear-filled eyes. She froze.

Lin Sifei sniffled, turned her head, and leaped off the desk, bolting out of the study.

Luo Ke stood frozen in place. She lifted her hand; a single, crystalline droplet rested on the back of it.

“Xiao Xiao—” Luo Ke murmured, rushing out after her.

Down on the first floor, she saw Lin Sifei prying open the window latch. She hurried forward and scooped her up. “I was wrong, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have yelled at you.”

“Meeeooww!” Lin Sifei’s tears streamed down as she pushed at her with her paws, her claws scratching several lines on her, quickly drawing blood.

“I was really wrong.” Luo Ke held her tightly. “You can be angry, you can scratch me, just don’t run off. What if you get out and someone catches you? Some people eat cat meat.”

The force of Lin Sifei’s struggles lessened slightly. “Mrow!”

She twisted her body, jumped down, and squeezed into the gap behind the sofa.

Luo Ke sighed. “Be angry, but don’t stay angry for too long.”

Lin Sifei’s tail slapped back and forth. She was going to be angry, so angry. Luo Ke didn’t recognize a good person’s heart6.

Luo Ke stood for a moment with her arms crossed, then went to the kitchen, found some snacks, and placed them beside her.

She brought her laptop over and sat nearby to work on her files, waiting for Lin Sifei to come out.

Smelling the fragrant aroma, Lin Sifei finally couldn’t resist. She squeezed out from behind the sofa, bit into a small dried fish, and then nibbled on some vitamin tablets.

Seeing her crunching away, Luo Ke breathed a sigh of relief and tentatively reached out to pet her.

Lin Sifei stiffened but ultimately didn’t pull away, continuing to eat.

Luo Ke sat down beside her, stroking her fur. “The Luo family was originally very harmonious. It’s wrong for you to stir up trouble between them. I know you might not be human, so you don’t understand relationships between people. People can’t just do things based on their own likes and dislikes.”

You’re the one who’s not human! Lin Sifei lifted a paw and batted the vitamin tablets in front of her, sending them flying into Luo Ke and making her flinch.

Lin Sifei quickly ran off, climbed to the top of the cat tree, looked down at her, let out a fierce “Meeeooww,” and disappeared into the little cubby, refusing to come out.

Luo Ke rubbed her smarting arm and sighed helplessly. How was she supposed to explain the rules of the human world to a demon?

Lin Sifei curled up on the cat tree, tears welling up again. Luo Ke was an idiot. The Luo family’s harmony was all built on sucking her blood7. She had helped out of kindness, and it had become her fault.

Luo Ke glanced at the cat tree and got up from the floor with a sigh. She picked up her phone and noticed the tablet hidden under the coffee table. She pulled it out, a little curious as to how the little demon Lin Sifei had managed to sow such discord.

She looked at the wiped tablet and sent a message to Special Assistant Lin. Soon, a hacker took remote control of the tablet and began data recovery.

As she looked at the files Lin Sifei had sent, a look of astonishment crossed her face. She… had wronged Xiao Xiao.

“Xiao Xiao, I was wrong. Really. I didn’t know it was because they were having an affair, being unfaithful in their marriages. There’s nothing wrong with you exposing that. You weren’t wrong, it was my fault. And I even said you were spoiled. It was my fault.”

Lin Sifei, huddled in the cat tree, stared with wide eyes. No way, how did Luo Ke find out?

She quickly poked her head out and saw the lit-up screen of the tablet. A cold sweat instantly broke out.

No… no way. I’ve been completely exposed!
