Transmigrated into a Cat!
Bath time~
“Hey, President Luo1, are you here yet? I’ve been waiting for ages.”
“I’m here.”
A cool, detached voice came from both the phone and the entrance of the shop at the same time. Bai Xingrui2 looked up, her eyes scanning the other woman from head to toe, and she tsked twice in disappointment.
“You’re still in a black business suit, huh? Is that really necessary? You’re only twenty-three.” As she spoke, she stuck out her long legs clad in black stockings. Her red, low-cut, hip-hugging dress outlined her S-shaped curves.
Luo Ke3 didn’t even give her a proper glance, sitting down at the bar and raising a hand to order a drink.
“Was there something you needed to see me about?”
“Can’t I ask you out just because?” Bai Xingrui pouted, feigning and fabricating4 as she propped up her chin and blinked her big eyes at her. Receiving her death glare, she cleared her throat twice and sat up straight.
“It’s your birthday today, you know. I specially prepared a gift for you.”
Luo Ke took a sip from her glass, watching as the other woman brought out a large box covered with a cloth. She frowned. That big?
Bai Xingrui happily unveiled the black cloth. “Ta-da!”
Luo Ke looked at the listless kitten in the iron cage. It was lying there on its last breath, its meows almost inaudible.
She turned her head away, unfazed. “This cat is about to be tormented to death by you.”
Bai Xingrui was greatly shocked and lost her color5. She hurriedly lifted the cage; the cat inside was indeed motionless, its eyes almost completely closed.
She poked the kitten with her finger, let out a curse, pushed the cage aside, and pulled out her phone to go settle scores with the cat seller.
Luo Ke glanced at the cat’s “corpse,” her gaze lingering on its closed eyes for two seconds before moving away.
“Meow—” A faint meow sounded.
Luo Ke was slightly surprised and looked over again. The kitten happened to open its eyes and look at her at that exact moment, its amber pupils shining brightly in the bar’s light.
The person and the cat were both stunned for a moment. Then, Luo Ke watched as the previously weak cat’s fur instantly stood on end6. It let out a shrill scream, arched its entire back, and backed up until it hit the cage.
Bai Xingrui was still arguing and didn’t notice the commotion. Luo Ke turned her head and hooked the other woman’s calf with the tip of her foot. Bai Xingrui turned her head in a split second.
Luo Ke pointed at the cat in the cage. “Hurry up and take your cat away.”
Bai Xingrui came closer, saw that the cat in the cage was still alive, glanced at Luo Ke, then grabbed her bag and ran. “I’ve delivered the birthday gift! The bill is paid, bye-bye~”
Luo Ke reached out but failed to grab her. She sighed helplessly, tilted her head back to finish her drink, and prepared to leave.
Seeing the situation, a man in a white shirt standing nearby offered her a drink. “Miss, may I buy you a drink?”
Luo Ke’s eyes didn’t look sideways, completely ignoring him. The cage she picked up knocked him aside as she walked out the door.
She pulled open the car door and tossed the cage onto the passenger seat. The kitten inside had stopped crying and was now lying in the cage, trembling as it watched her, its big eyes filled with fear.
“Troublesome.” Luo Ke spat out the word and started the car.
SPACE LINE
Crouching in the cage, Lin Sifei7 still hadn’t come to her senses. She looked down at her own paws in disbelief. They were really cat paws.
She, a Three Golds Film Empress8, with tens of millions of fans and a net worth in the hundreds of millions, was now a kitten.
Lin Sifei lay in the cage, her head aching unbearably. In the bar just now, the sudden sight of a group of giants had nearly scared her to death, and she still couldn’t stop trembling.
She tried her best to calm her mind. She had just been given to the woman in front of her as a birthday present. Moreover, she didn’t possess the hunting skills of a stray cat, so becoming a house cat was the best option.
She glanced at the woman driving beside her. With her cold and beautiful features, slightly tense lips, and thin face, she looked very difficult to get along with. Besides, back in the bar, it didn’t seem like she wanted to keep her very much.
Her head began to ache again. She curled up her body, trying to lessen the pain.
Luo Ke, Luo Ke—
Lin Sifei chewed on the name in her mind, her brow furrowing. The name was a bit familiar. And she remembered hearing the name of the other woman in the red dress during a moment of haziness… Bai Xingrui.
Lin Sifei’s eyes shot wide open. Wasn’t this a novel she had read before? The film and television industry had entered a cold winter9, and although she was a Film Empress, her company still hoped she would take on television dramas. While selecting scripts, she took a liking to one, but when she went to read the original work, she discovered the script was a complete demonic modification10, and the original novel was so spicy to the eyes11 it was unbearable.
And then… she got into a car accident on her way to the company, and her one life went poof.
She lay in the cage, her eyelids drooping. It was a bargain for those parents of hers; they would get her huge inheritance. How hateful.
She hadn’t even been sad for three minutes before the car stopped and Luo Ke picked up the cage and got out.
Lin Sifei still couldn’t get used to such a large person and retreated in fear.
Luo Ke’s movements as she carried the cage were not the least bit gentle. Lin Sifei felt like she was on a pirate ship ride, the jostling making her head spin, so she simply closed her eyes and played dead.
The sky was already dark. Lin Sifei’s ears twitched. Having become a cat, her hearing was much more sensitive; she thought she could hear the buzzing of mosquitoes in the grass. She tucked in her legs, balling herself up even smaller.
Luo Ke put the cage in the living room, opened the door, and turned to go take a shower and sleep.
The moment she left, Lin Sifei quickly ran out of the cage. She wandered around the first floor and found a full-length mirror. She placed her two paws on the mirror’s surface, and the reflection showed a small kitten.
Lin Sifei twisted her head to look, forced to accept this reality. After being a human for so many years, she now had to start being a cat.
She looked up at the light that had turned on upstairs, feeling even more desperate. She was the villain’s cat. Later, when the villain was driven to bankruptcy, she would become a stray.
Lin Sifei had calmed down and was now pacing back and forth in the living room. No, I absolutely cannot become a stray cat. She remembered the book saying that the female lead and the villain became enemies because she was bullied for a long time at the villain’s company, yet she always ended up cooperating with the villain’s company. Her older brothers were, on one hand, furious, and on the other, wanted to monopolize the female lead, so naturally, they had to make this little seductress12 of a company go bankrupt.
Lin Sifei sighed. This was completely a sudden disaster descended from the heavens13. Since it was like this, as long as she got the female lead fired the first time she joined the company, then given her stubborn personality, she wouldn’t join any other companies under the Luo Ke Group. This would be equivalent to using a small grudge to resolve a future one. And as long as she admitted the female lead’s capabilities in the end, even the small grudge would be dissolved.
Lin Sifei sat on the floor, narrowing her eyes. Suddenly, her stomach started to rumble. She lifted a paw to press on her belly, but the sound only grew louder.
The villain hadn’t given her dinner. She was going to starve to death.
Lin Sifei struggled to her feet and headed for the kitchen. There was definitely food there.
However, Luo Ke’s kitchen was spotless, and neither the drawers nor the refrigerator could be opened by a small kitten like her.
Lin Sifei collapsed onto the kitchen floor, wanting to cry but having no tears.
Pat— Pat— Pat—
Lin Sifei’s ears twitched, and she turned her head. Luo Ke, wrapped in a silk robe with a bath towel on her head, was standing behind her.
She saw the little cat lying by the refrigerator door and sighed helplessly. “You can’t even find the right place to look for food.”
She stepped over the cat, crouched down, took a bag of cat food from the cabinet, poured it into a bowl, softened it with water, and placed it by the cat’s mouth. “Eat.”
Lin Sifei’s nose twitched as she caught a fragrant scent. She struggled to get up and rested her mouth on the edge of the bowl.
Saliva filled her mouth. The cat food in the bowl, softened by water, touched her lips. Lin Sifei’s throat moved; she couldn’t pull down her face14 to eat cat food. In the end, she just couldn’t bring herself to eat it and looked up at Luo Ke with a “meow.”
Luo Ke frowned. “You’re not eating?”
She took a deep breath, picked up her phone, and searched. “Goat’s milk?”
She opened the refrigerator, searched for a moment, and pulled out a bottle. She walked to the stove to heat it. “Bai Xingrui really is thoughtful, packing both cat food and goat’s milk. This was premeditated, heh.”
Lin Sifei shivered at her tone, but soon the scent of milk spread, and she couldn’t help but swallow. By the time Luo Ke brought the goat’s milk over, she was already waiting impatiently by the bowl.
Steam instantly rose. Lin Sifei was about to drink it when her body suddenly went airborne. She had been picked up by Luo Ke, lifted off the ground.
“Meow!” The sudden levitation frightened Lin Sifei, causing her to tuck her tail between her legs and cry out.
Luo Ke placed her on the countertop, holding her down to keep her from moving.
Lin Sifei was starving to death. Banking on the fact that the woman couldn’t understand her, she cursed at her with a series of “meow meow meows.”
After a moment, Luo Ke brought the bowl and placed it in front of her. Lin Sifei tentatively stuck out her tongue. The temperature was just right.
Luo Ke poured a glass for herself as well. “So you’re not stupid. You know when it’s hot.”
Lin Sifei buried her head in the bowl. So she was afraid of me getting burned. This person isn’t so cold and heartless after all.
A small cat has a small appetite; she was full after drinking less than half the bowl. Lin Sifei raised her head, and a droplet of milk splashed into her eye. She shook her head reflexively, forgetting that a cat’s snout is pointed, and bumped right into the rim of the bowl.
She lost her balance, stepped into the bowl, and was tripped immediately. Her whole body knocked the bowl over, spilling the goat’s milk all over herself and the floor.
Luo Ke jumped back a step, but still got some splashed on her. She pressed her fingers to the space between her eyebrows, taking a long moment to compose herself before unwrapping the towel from her head.
Long black hair fell down, draping messily over her shoulders. Lin Sifei lay on the countertop, her eyes glued to the sight of the woman’s lowered gaze.
So beautiful.
Luo Ke took the bath towel, draped it over her, and scooped her up in one motion.
Lin Sifei’s eyes went wide in an instant, and she let out a startled hiccup.
Luo Ke, holding the cat-burrito, walked straight to the sink, turned on the faucet, unwrapped the towel, and placed the cat inside.
“Meow meow meow!” Lin Sifei stared at her legs in terror, her front paws trying desperately to grab Luo Ke’s hand. But a cat can’t grip, so her claws came out involuntarily. Luo Ke hissed in pain, cupping the cat’s belly with one hand while ladling water with the other.
Lin Sifei curled her front paws to hug the fingers supporting her, feeling a little more at ease. Remembering that she had just scratched someone, she quickly gave an appeasing “meow” and rubbed her face against the woman’s wrist.
Luo Ke’s eyebrows twitched, and her frown deepened.
Lin Sifei looked at her pursed lips and sighed helplessly. It seems she really doesn’t like cats.
The warm water washed over her body, and Lin Sifei squinted her eyes in comfort. After all the scares she’d had today, a hot bath was incredibly relaxing, especially with a masseuse to wash her.
As she was enjoying the comfort, Lin Sifei suddenly felt something was wrong. Where was this person’s hand touching? She started kicking her legs and meowing, no longer enjoying it.
Luo Ke frowned, pinched her tail, and rubbed her bottom. “It’s a female?”
Lin Sifei lay in her hand, feeling that her life had nothing left to long for15.
Luo Ke’s fingers moved upwards, stroking her belly. Lin Sifei trembled all over and struggled into the water with a yowl. Stop touching me!
Lin Sifei was underwater for about a second before Luo Ke fished her out.
Almost instinctively, she shook her head the moment she was out of the water, flinging droplets all over Luo Ke.
Only after she finished shaking did Lin Sifei realize what she’d done, and her neck stiffened. She cautiously peeked at Luo Ke and, as expected, saw her gloomy face.
Just as she was wondering whether to act cute, Luo Ke had already picked her up, wrapped her in a towel, gave her a quick rub, and then, after looking around, placed her in the laundry basket.
Lin Sifei struggled out of the towel, completely dumbfounded. She shook off the water, clung to the gaps in the laundry basket, and let out a meow.
She watched as Luo Ke slid open the glass bathroom door and her robe slipped to the floor.
Lin Sifei’s eyes widened. She covered her nose with her paws, her face flushing bright red. She shifted her bottom and hid herself in the towel.
