It’s an abdominal V-line!
In the following days, the group explored the various attractions in Vienna. During their stay, there was a concert, and Teacher Yin even invited Professor Sun to join in.
After thoroughly enjoying Vienna, their tour planner, Xiang Qiu, took them to nearby attractions and ultimately headed to the final destination of their trip – Salzburg.
Salzburg is the gateway to the Alps, and as they drove through a series of snow-covered mountains, they finally arrived at the ski resort.
Even though Teacher Yin couldn’t ski, in order not to dampen the spirits, she still geared up with the children that morning and took a cable car to the ski resort.
Originally, she thought Professor Sun might not excel in such sports, so she expected her to join her with the two children in the beginner’s area of the ski resort to have a snowball fight. However, Professor Sun, not showing any signs of age, fully equipped herself and continued to ride the cable car to the top of the ski resort with Xiang Qiu and Zhang Yu.
Yin Bai watched Professor Sun’s resolute departure and was once again left stunned. She could only raise the camera she had inherited from Zhang Yu, aiming it at the backs of the three of them as they walked away and captured a photo with a click.
Darn it, among this group of adults, it seemed like she, the little one with a limp, was the only one playing with the children!
Yin Bai put away her camera, then looked at Zuo Jingyou, who was leaving the cable car station with the children, and raised her chin, asking, “Do you want me to take a picture for you?”
Zuo Jingyou looked up, meeting Yin Bai’s gaze, and replied, “Sure!”
Yin Bai, leaning on her crutch, then followed them out onto the snowfield.
Just as they exited the cable car station, a brisk, chilly breeze hit them head-on. Yin Bai stood on the observation deck, gazing at the vast expanse of snow-covered mountains that stretched as far as the eye could see, taking a deep breath.
“It’s so beautiful!” exclaimed the children.
Yin Bai raised her camera and nodded in agreement.
Even though she had seen this scenery countless times in photographs, and even though she had already experienced the magnificent beauty of the snow-covered mountains on their way here, setting her feet on the land of the snowy mountains still left her in awe.
The children cheered in amazement, “It’s so pretty! I want to play!”
Wearing a safety helmet and snug skiing attire, Tong Tong extended her hands to pull Zuo Jingyou, playfully saying, “Mommy, mommy, let’s go skiing!”
The children were quite impatient and chatted incessantly while tugging at Zuo Jingyou.
Zuo Jingyou smiled gently and reassured them, “No need to rush, how about we take a group photo first?”
“Okay, okay.”
After soothing the children, Zuo Jingyou looked up at Yin Bai and smiled warmly, saying, “Teacher Yin, we’d appreciate your help with that.”
“OK.”
Yin Bai made an “OK” hand gesture and had the three of them squat in the vast snowy field, with their backs to the towering snowy slopes, and took a group photo.
After taking this group photo, Zuo Jingyou took the children to play in the snow. Since Yin Bai had limited mobility, her job for the rest of the day mostly involved taking photos of the three of them.
She took photos of Zuo Jingyou teaching the children, capturing moments when the children fell into the snow, taking shots of the children sledging with their backs to the snowy slopes, striking proud poses as they pretended to ski, and the triumphant laughter as they looked up at the sky, and so on…
As she continued taking pictures, Yin Bai eventually put away her camera, propped her crutch in the snow, and gazed into the distance at the ski slopes. Towering snowy mountains, frozen for miles, and amidst this vast snowy expanse, those skiers clad in heavy gear looked like a line of ants, descending from the snowy peaks.
Contrasted with the vast snowy mountains, people appeared as fragile and insignificant as mayflies. Yet, it was precisely these frail and seemingly powerless humans who conquered this magnificent snow-covered mountain.
How wonderful…

Yin Bai held up her camera, filled with envy, and aimed it at the distant crowd of skiers, pressing the camera shutter.
Zuo Jingyou, who had been playing with the children for a while, turned her head and saw Yin Bai, dressed in a deep blue skiing outfit, standing in the snowy field, gazing up at the mountain peak with an envious expression. It struck a chord in her heart.
After giving some instructions to the children to ensure they played in a safe area, Zuo Jingyou came over to stand beside Yin Bai. Yin Bai turned to her and asked, “Aren’t you going to have fun with them?”
Zuo Jingyou smiled gently and said, “Continuously playing with them can be quite exhausting.”
She looked at Yin Bai with a soft gaze and suggested, “How about going to the ski resort at the mountaintop in a while?”
Yin Bai put away her camera, tapped her crutch on the snow, and expressed some confusion, “Do you want to go up there to ski down? Then, go ahead. I can help watch the children in a while.”
Zuo Jingyou shook her head, pursed her lips in thought, and explained to Yin Bai, “It’s not just about skiing; since we’re here, it feels incomplete if we don’t go to the mountaintop.”
Yin Bai chuckled, “Snow as far as the eye can see, the scenery is pretty much the same anywhere. Besides, I can’t ski down, so what’s the difference?”
Zuo Jingyou glanced at her, let out a soft sigh, and said, “There’s no need to ski down, really.”
At this point, Zuo Jingyou paused briefly and spoke softly, “Do you find it quite boring being here?”
“Huh?” Yin Bai was briefly taken aback and shook her head, saying, “Not really.” Even though she couldn’t ski, she found it interesting to watch Zuo Jingyou and the two children having fun.
Zuo Jingyou narrowed her eyes and smiled gently, “Aren’t people saying that there’s nothing much to see in this vast expanse of snow? If it’s not particularly beautiful and there’s nothing exciting, why wouldn’t it be considered boring?”
Yin Bai turned her head, smiled, and replied to Zuo Jingyou, “Because I’m here with a friend. Being with a friend, even if we can’t play, makes me happy.”
Zuo Jingyou looked at the smile on Yin Bai’s face, blinked a few times, and only after a while asked, “Just being like this makes you happy? Don’t you feel… regret and loneliness?”
Yin Bai tilted her head to think for a moment and replied, “Not being able to play together, of course, I feel regret. But it’s something that can’t be helped. I can’t move around freely like you can.”
“I can’t do many things besides skiing. Any sports involving running, like basketball, football, table tennis, volleyball, tennis, badminton—I can’t play any of those…”
Yin Bai tapped her crutch heavily on the snow, let out a long sigh, and continued, “But people should be content. At least, compared to some, I’m lucky enough. At the very least, I can still stand up, rather than spending my whole life in a wheelchair, right?”
Zuo Jingyou, observing Yin Bai’s relaxed and content demeanor, felt a slight pang in her heart. She lowered her gaze and, after a moment of contemplation, asked, “Forgive my curiosity, but when did you get injured?”
Yin Bai turned her head and looked at Zuo Jingyou with a slightly surprised expression. She had thought that Zuo Jingyou would never ask. After all, as a mature and considerate adult, she should understand that inquiring about someone’s injury isn’t an appropriate thing to do.
But Zuo Jingyou had actually asked!
Yin Bai, looking at her in surprise for a couple of seconds, hesitated for a moment before saying, “I got injured when I was twelve.”
Since she had already started, Zuo Jingyou went ahead and asked, “Because of what?”
Yin Bai, gripping her crutch, unconsciously tapped it a few times on the snow and casually replied, “It was a car accident.”
“On the way back home with my parents, we got into a car accident. As a result, both of my parents didn’t survive, and I was the only one who made it.”
Yin Bai shrugged and sighed, saying, “I don’t know if I should call it unfortunate or lucky. In any case… it’s just how it is.”
Zuo Jingyou tilted her head and earnestly examined Yin Bai’s face, not missing any subtle changes in her expression. Even though Yin Bai tried to conceal it, there was no way to hide the emotional trauma that this incident had caused her.
At this moment, Zuo Jingyou couldn’t express her feelings.

She lowered her gaze and softly said, “It’s lucky, at least…”
Zuo Jingyou took a deep breath and smiled at Yin Bai, saying, “Let’s go, we’ll go to the mountaintop to see the snow. Even though we can’t ski down, the view from the mountaintop is different from the mountainside. Since we’re here, let’s not miss any place!”
After Zuo Jingyou finished speaking, she turned to look at the children who were still playing and called out, “Tong Tong, Wen Wen, come over here, we’re going up the mountain!”
Tong Tong and Wen Wen hastily abandoned their little sleds and rushed toward Zuo Jingyou. Zuo Jingyou held Tong Tong with one hand and, through the heavy skiing suit, grabbed Yin Bai’s wrist with her other hand, leading her forward, saying, “Let’s go, we’re going together!”
Yin Bai lowered her gaze, looking at her wrist that had been grabbed, her eyes widened.
Talking is one thing, but no need to hold hands, my friend! She wasn’t used to holding hands with adults!
Even though Yin Bai wasn’t entirely comfortable with it, she was eventually pulled onto the cable car by Zuo Jingyou and joined her at the mountaintop ski resort, finding the highest lookout point for the best view.
Zuo Jingyou, with her fluent English, had a foreigner help them take a photo. Yin Bai couldn’t refuse, so she propped herself up with her crutch, stood next to Zuo Jingyou, held the children’s hands, and posed for a photo on the snow-covered mountaintop, facing the wind and snow.
After taking the photo, Yin Bai took the camera and, seeing the four figures in the frame, suddenly felt a warm sensation welling up from the depths of her heart.
Being with friends and playing together was truly enjoyable. It wasn’t just a solitary journey, and that was truly wonderful.
Yin Bai thought that she should spend more time with her friends in the future and capture more lively photos during their outings.
Zuo Jingyou and Yin Bai played at the mountaintop for a while. In the end, Zuo Jingyou allowed Yin Bai to take the children on the cable car back down, while she decided to ski down herself.
After a day of joyful activities, everyone returned to the pre-booked hot spring hotel in the evening to soak in the prearranged pool. Yin Bai, with her limited mobility, had arrived early and was already lying in the pool, enveloped in the soothing hot water, feeling drowsy.
Not long after, the two mischievous kids finished their bath, donned their swimsuits, and cheerfully jumped into the hot spring pool.
With a splash, the children leaped into the hot spring, and the splashing water showered Yin Bai head to toe. Yin Bai closed her eyes, wiped the water droplets off her face, and took a deep breath before saying through clenched teeth, “You two, should you perhaps apologize to me!”
She couldn’t stand the sensation of having a wet face!
As Yin Bai said this, she wiped the water droplets off her face and glared fiercely at the two children swimming in front of her.
At that moment, Zuo Jingyou, who was with them, was entering the water. She scolded the children while her long and snow-white legs slowly entered the water. Yin Bai’s mind became completely stuck when she saw those legs, white as if they were glowing.
She leaned against the stone wall next to the hot spring pool, her chin slightly raised, and her gaze moved inch by inch upward, from Zuo Jingyou’s snow-white, slender legs to her firm, flat waist. Her gaze moved up to a certain part of her body that was perfectly concealed under the swimsuit…
Yin Bai quickly lowered her head, fixing her gaze on Zuo Jingyou’s abdomen and stared for quite some time before saying, “Teacher Zuo, you have an abdominal V-line!”
Zuo Jingyou had just immersed herself in the water when she heard Yin Bai’s comment. She raised her head to look at Yin Bai, her eyes filled with a smile. “Well, didn’t I mention that I’ve been working out? Do you think it looks good?”
Yin Bai didn’t catch what she was saying at first, and instinctively asked, “What?”
Zuo Jingyou burst into laughter, her eyes and brows curving with amusement. “I said, does the V-line look good?”
Good-looking? Of course, it looks good!
Yin Bai nodded and gazed at Zuo Jingyou with great admiration. “It looks great, super great!”
Yin Bai, as she spoke, lowered her head and reached out to pinch her own soft belly, expressing her dissatisfaction. “Teacher Zuo has a great body, with long limbs and a V-line, she looks very healthy.”
“Unlike me, I just have a soft belly.”
Yin Bai pinched her own belly again and suddenly began to miss the days when she used to work out. Oh, she was almost about to cry from sadness!

Seeing Yin Bai’s resentful expression, Zuo Jingyou couldn’t help but chuckle. She moved closer to Yin Bai, looking at her body, which was even whiter than the snow in the water, and started to laugh. “Is that so? Very soft? Let me see…”
Saying this, Zuo Jingyou approached Yin Bai, reaching out to touch her belly.
At the moment her fingertips touched her abdomen, Yin Bai reacted like a cat with its tail touched, shocked and wide-eyed!
Was this what straight women’s friendship was like? Could they touch each other’s bodies while taking a bath together? Reciprocity, should she also touch back?
With these thoughts in mind, Yin Bai turned her head and stared at Zuo Jingyou in silence.
Zuo Jingyou quickly withdrew her hand and gave her assessment, “Not bad, you are quite slender, not much flesh…”
As she spoke, she raised her gaze and locked eyes with Yin Bai. Their eyes met, and Yin Bai blinked at her, extending her hand to point at Zuo Jingyou’s V-line, humbly asking, “Um, Teacher Zuo, can I touch your V-line?”
Zuo Jingyou was momentarily stunned.
