After Agreeing to Go on a Parenting Show With My Omega Ex-Girlfriend – Chapter 30

I’ve Always, Always Missed You.

In truth, it wasn’t like this at the beginning.

Qi Song washed up and turned off the lights early to go to bed, wanting to fall asleep while the calming effect of the suppressant she had just taken was at its strongest.

She closed her eyes, her heart calm, wanting for nothing.

Time passed, second by second. Outside, a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, the soft, rustling sound whispering in her ear.

The window was half-open, and so the wind slipped in unnoticed, gently brushing against Qi Song’s eyelashes.

Qi Song’s breath hitched.

When she and Yu Luo had kissed last night, they had tilted their heads slightly, their noses brushing past each other. And so, the woman’s long, dense eyelashes would occasionally graze her cheek.

Soft and downy.

When the kiss became unbearable, those lashes would tremble uncontrollably, tickling the skin of her cheek.

Stirring an indelible itch in her heart.

…Yu Luo.

Qi Song’s breath instantly grew heavy, and her brow twitched restlessly.

Her hand slowly clutched the bedsheet beneath her, trying to contain the emotions beginning to surge in her heart with the strength of her grip.

But it was futile.

That faint ripple, started by the breeze on her eyelashes, had already swelled into a raging tide without her realizing it. Before Qi Song could react, she was already sinking helplessly, submerged, on the verge of drowning.

Her eyes snapped open, and she sat up, clutching the comforter.

The streetlight cast a cold glow in the autumn night, making the empty guest room feel even more desolate.

Qi Song’s gaze rested on the wardrobe to the side.

…Yu Luo.

Provoked by her susceptible period, she was forced to confront her deepest thoughts and desires.

And her mind was completely filled by that name, crammed and occupied, leaving no room for anything else. The ache and itch of longing coursed through her entire body, causing her chest to heave violently.

She couldn’t bear it anymore.

Qi Song suddenly threw off the comforter and stumbled out of bed.

“Jiejie…”

She murmured in a low voice, the tip of her nose stinging. Panting softly, she opened the wardrobe and hastily pulled out five pieces of clothing, hugging them to her chest.

She buried her face in them and inhaled deeply.

The fiery tide in her heart seemed to recede a little, but it soon came crashing back even more fiercely.

Qi Song stared at the clothes in a daze, her heart feeling even emptier.

They were clean clothes. They smelled mostly of laundry detergent, with very little of Yu Luo’s scent.

She stood there, stunned. Her nerves, made more fragile and sensitive without the comfort of her Omega, began to fray. A sudden heat filled her eyes, and a single, clear tear slid unbidden from the corner of her eye.

…These are clean.

…There’s none of her scent.

The tear wobbled, gathered at her chin, and finally fell to the floor with a soft “pat.”

But at that sound, Qi Song’s tear-filled eyes suddenly brightened.

Without even putting on her slippers, she opened the door barefoot and left the guest room, rushing down the hallway and charging to the living room downstairs.

Her gaze fell directly on the cloak, and her eyes grew even brighter.

She took a few steps forward and lifted it into her arms as if it were a priceless treasure, then lowered her head and sniffed.

Yu Luo’s light, elegant scent filled her senses. In an instant, she was dizzy with pleasure, feeling so light-headed she could barely remember her own name.

Just like that, she happily drifted back to the third floor.

Until she passed the master bedroom.

Qi Song’s steps faltered. She looked at the closed door of the master bedroom, her eyelashes trembling.

—You’d better not touch it for the whole night.

That’s what Yu Luo had said to her before bed.

A pang of guilt surfaced. She clutched the precious cloak in her hands tighter and hurriedly slipped back into the guest room.

Guilt wreaked havoc in her mind, so much so that even in her muddled state, Qi Song still managed to remember to set a six o’clock alarm—

She absolutely had to put it back secretly before Yu Luo woke up tomorrow.

After the window was closed, fine raindrops tapped against the glass, but the air in the room grew still.

As did the atmosphere.

Qi Song lay on the bed, clutching the cloak in her arms, and met Yu Luo’s gaze in silence.

Her throat tightened.

Just a moment ago, she had been curled up amidst Yu Luo’s clothes, but sleep would not come.

Nesting was supposed to bring her some psychological comfort, to soothe her emotions. But for some reason, she only missed Yu Luo more, so much that her heart felt like it would break.

So she gave herself another suppressant shot.

Three injections in the span of half a day was a serious overdose.

As a result, her pheromone levels were almost nonexistent, and the inhibitors had disciplined her physiological urges into utter submission.

But her emotional impulses were not dispelled in the slightest.

In fact, amid the surging waves of longing, she couldn’t stop herself from lifting a corner of the cloak to her lips, pressing it between her teeth and gnawing on it gently.

Qi Song thought she would have to spend the night in this absurd, unbearable way.

But at this moment, the woman who had robbed her of all her peace, the subject of all her night’s wild fantasies, was standing not far away.

“…You look like you really miss me.”

In the darkness of the night, the woman’s voice gently struck Qi Song’s ear.

It was a voice as clear and cool as water, yet it suddenly fanned the flames in Qi Song’s heart even higher.

She stared at the woman’s face in the darkness, her breath hot and ragged, her eyes forcefully tracing Yu Luo’s silhouette again and again.

It was as if something in her brain had been struck, stirring a chaotic ache.

She realized in a daze that her longing for Yu Luo tonight wasn’t just because of her susceptible period, not just because of these few short hours of separation.

This feeling of missing Yu Luo so madly… it was as if she had felt it for a long, long time before. As if it had once ruled every emotion in her life.

And she had only briefly forgotten.

But the susceptible period had rekindled that feeling.

With a 「tap」, another raindrop struck the window forcefully.

Qi Song felt an invisible shackle in her heart quietly shatter along with that crisp sound—

The longing of the past several hours—urgent, unbearable, full of tossing and turning—burst forth in an instant, like a wildfire, instantly consuming the guilt and panic of being exposed, the involuntary insincerity1, the tangled confusion that was so hard to sort out.

An emotion from an unknown source blossomed, burning and beating savagely in her heart.

In that moment, Qi Song forgot, and no longer cared about, anything else. The muddled background of her thoughts became insignificant.

She only knew Yu Luo.

“You…”

Gazing at Qi Song, whose breathing was rapid and whose expression seemed lost in fervent emotion, Yu Luo was slightly bewildered and opened her lips to say something.

But she saw the young woman on the bed staring at her without blinking. She sat up, her scorching palm gripping Yu Luo’s arm, and pulled with all her strength—

Caught off guard, Yu Luo tumbled onto the bed with the force of the pull, falling into Qi Song’s arms.

A slipper slid from her foot, and its thud on the floor made Yu Luo’s heart tremble.

Two hands quickly wrapped around her waist. Qi Song pressed her entire body into her embrace, holding her tightly and forcefully.

Then, she buried her head deep in the crook of Yu Luo’s neck, greedily sniffing the skin there.

Like a puppy that, after a long wait, finally gets to welcome its owner home.

Yu Luo’s heart was filled with an unparalleled softness.

The scent of Qi Song’s pheromones was almost nonexistent—what she was doing now had little to do with physiological desire.

Then, this impatient, clinging embrace must stem entirely from pure, intense emotion—

She misses me.

At this thought, Yu Luo felt a deep and prolonged pain and sweetness.

“Jiejie…” a low murmur came from the crook of her neck.

It was a form of address she hadn’t heard in far too long.

Yu Luo’s breath caught, and she froze for a few seconds.

Then, a gentle smile slowly formed on her lips, a smile dampened by a hint of tears.

She raised her hand and stroked the top of Qi Song’s head, her movements exceedingly gentle.

She opened her lips, wanting to ask the person in her arms to talk to her. Yet, before the words 「Do you miss me a lot?」 could leave her mouth, she heard—

An answer, arriving before the question.

“…Miss you.”

Qi Song’s eyes were closed, her chin resting on Yu Luo’s shoulder. She said softly, “I miss you so much.”

“I was just thinking of you, always, always,” she confessed.

“I’ve always, always missed you…”

She had removed the qualifier 「just now」.

Yu Luo’s breathing began to tremble.

Qi Song hardly knew what she was saying anymore.

Her mind was muddled, her conscious self seemingly asleep, while her most honest subconscious had quietly taken control, briefly turning her from insincere to sincere2.

“Jiejie.”

She enunciated the two words very slowly, her pronunciation exceptionally clear, like a child just beginning to learn Chinese characters, carrying a cute, unpracticed gravity.

“…Can I kiss you, like last night?”

She asked obediently, and with utmost sincerity.

Just now, lying in her makeshift nest, she had been uncontrollably replaying the sensation of their lips from the night before.

“…Mmm,” Yu Luo answered after a few seconds.

Her voice was a little choked, tinged with hoarseness.

And so, the young woman’s lips slowly pressed forward.

Yu Luo closed her eyes amidst a deepening breath, and Qi Song gently cupped her face with both hands.

Then, she felt the same touch on her lips as last night, a cherished and simple contact.

And she, unlike last night, was not left wanting.

With a similarly sincere heart, she focused on and threw herself into this kiss that was so exceedingly pure, yet so exceedingly heart-pounding.

It was like starting over with Qi Song, having a clumsy and romantic first love.

Their lips met, gently rubbing against each other.

They kissed like this for a long, long time.

Until the sound of the wind and rain outside stopped, and later, a dim moonlight began to filter in.

Yu Luo gently pushed Qi Song away.

Qi Song’s breathing was unsteady. She stared at Yu Luo, stunned, her eyes full of 「it’s not enough」. But she was also obedient and didn’t press forward again.

Yu Luo took in her expression, a faint smile appearing in her misty eyes.

She hesitated for a moment before asking softly:

“Qi Song, do you only want to kiss like this, or do you only know how to kiss like this?”

There was a deep, probing meaning in this sentence.

A normal Qi Song would have immediately become alert and searched for a thorough way to respond.

But not the her of right now.

Right now, she would only stumble and fall into every trap Yu Luo set.

So she blinked, her gaze reluctantly leaving Yu Luo’s lips as she said earnestly, “How else are you supposed to kiss?”

After she said this, the woman before her fell silent.

Qi Song instantly felt a vague sense of unease.

She pursed her lips and placed her hand over Yu Luo’s, which was resting on the bedsheet. Her fingertips tentatively slipped between Yu Luo’s, lacing their fingers together tightly.

“Jiejie…?”

At her call, Yu Luo’s eyelashes trembled slightly, as if she had just snapped back to her senses.

The woman pursed her lips, and a low sigh seemed to escape her throat.

“…It’s okay.”

Yu Luo finally said softly, her tone still gentle, as if it could embrace everything in the world.

“Jiejie can teach you again.”

“But, this time, you can’t forget again, okay?”

Her gaze was very serious, carrying a hint of wistful pleading.

Qi Song’s heart felt as if it were being squeezed by that wistfulness.

Therefore, even though she was clearly in the feverish emotional state of her susceptible period, clearly not in her right mind, she couldn’t bring herself to respond carelessly.

Instead, she first savored Yu Luo’s words in her heart over and over again, as if she had to carve them there, before finally nodding with exceptional gravity.

The wistfulness in Yu Luo’s eyes transformed into a spring breeze at the sight of how dearly she treated her request.

“You really are…”

The bitterness in her heart was washed away by sweetness, and she couldn’t help but smile. “You haven’t changed at all.”

Yu Luo took Qi Song’s hand, brought it to her own cheek, and then pressed her fingertips against her own soft lips, rubbing them gently.

Then, she parted her red lips and leaned forward slightly.

And bit down on Qi Song’s fingertip.

Qi Song’s breath couldn’t help but tremble.

She felt the moisture and warmth between the woman’s lips and teeth.

A wet, soft sensation mischievously brushed against her fingertip, then circled around it. A moment later, it licked and sucked it lightly, making a soft sound.

Qi Song’s chest seized.

She stared, unblinking, at the alluring charm the woman was exuding. The tips of her ears were already bright red, and the tide of her heart was stirred into a tempest.

Yu Luo stopped just short of going further. She looked up at Qi Song and slowly pulled back.

A captivating smile bloomed in her eyes. “Did you remember?”

“How I just treated your fingertip,” she said slowly and deliberately, “is how you will taste my tongue.”

Qi Song’s chest rose and fell heavily. She arduously squeezed an 「Mmm」 from her throat.

She couldn’t wait to show off what she had learned. Her trembling hands cupped Yu Luo’s face, and her lips slowly pressed down.

She stuck out the very tip of her tongue and tentatively licked Yu Luo’s lips.

A few seconds later, she couldn’t resist licking them again.

They were too sweet, too soft; she tasted them again and again, mesmerized, having already forgotten what Teacher Yu had actually wanted to check.

Having her lips licked for ages by this puppy-like person, and not receiving the deep, lingering kiss she had expected, a helpless yet tender smile touched Yu Luo’s lips.

Oh, well. I’ve already taught her this much, a little more effort won’t hurt.

She took the initiative, parting her lips and placing a hand on the back of Qi Song’s head, applying gentle pressure.

Qi Song’s tongue thus met hers.

Yu Luo’s breath hitched at the contact. Her other hand couldn’t help but rise and clutch the fabric of Qi Song’s shirt.

This seemed to remind Qi Song of what she was supposed to do.

She recalled how Yu Luo had treated her fingertip, and then, carefully, she gently bit down on Yu Luo’s tongue.

She felt the woman in her arms tremble, and that tremor sent a shiver through her own body.

Qi Song slowly closed her eyes.

She no longer reviewed Yu Luo’s lesson but acted on instinct, with utmost gentleness, yet with an irrepressible longing, she began to lightly lick and suck.

Her hands subconsciously wrapped around Yu Luo’s waist, traveling up her spine to cup the back of her head.

She took the lead.

At first, it was just an inexperienced exploration, her tongue slowly stirring in the wet, slick softness of the other’s mouth.

But in that sweet taste, it was as if she had recovered some deep muscle memory, and she gradually became like a fish in water3.

Qi Song held the woman tighter, savoring her with rapt attention.

The sounds of their tongues and lips intertwining, accompanied by hot, wet panting, filled the guest room with a hazy, intimate ambiguity.

Teacher Yu was gradually kissed until her whole body went soft, the composure she’d had while teaching her student hand-in-hand now gone.

She let out a soft moan, her hand helplessly hooking around Qi Song’s neck.

An unbearable, hazy mist filled her eyes, and amidst her ragged breaths, a few whimpers, a touch of coquettishness, would occasionally escape.

They landed on Qi Song’s heart, stirring up an even more irrepressible desire.

She tangled and sucked tirelessly, as if savoring a beloved dessert, unwilling to stop.

After a long time.

Even though she had been the one to start the fire, Yu Luo was the first to be unable to bear it. She struggled to raise a hand and push Qi Song away.

Qi Song’s lips were moist and red. She stared at her eagerly, the very picture of someone who has eaten the marrow and knows its taste4.

Her eyes were full of the desire to keep kissing.

“…” Yu Luo’s eyelashes fluttered.

The phrase “provoking fire and burning oneself”5, she had experienced it many times with Qi Song. This was a new one.

The root of her tongue was already sore from being sucked. Yu Luo’s lips moved, and her voice came out slightly hoarse: “Be good. It’s time to sleep.”

Qi Song froze slightly. The hand on her waist immediately tightened its grip on the corner of her clothes. “Jiejie, are you leaving?” she asked in a low voice.

Yu Luo gazed at her.

“Do you need me?” she asked softly.

“Mmm,” Qi Song nodded without hesitation. “Always.”

“…If only you were this honest when you’re sober,” Yu Luo murmured, almost inaudibly, lowering her eyes.

She stayed.

Qi Song, content, hugged Yu Luo tightly and lay down.

The Omega she had been yearning for was in her arms. The clothes she had used for her nest were temporarily out of favor, but she still placed them carefully and preciously to the side.

Yu Luo had barely slept the previous night while taking care of the feverish Qi Song. Today she had flown back to B City, and in the afternoon, she had rushed to take Zhou Zhou to the hospital for a check-up. She was truly exhausted.

Therefore, she didn’t have time to think too much and fell asleep in Qi Song’s arms almost instantly.

In a daze, she felt her body being gently arranged and settled. Then the space beside her was empty.

She didn’t pay it much mind at first, drowsily assuming Qi Song had gone to the bathroom.

After drifting in and out of dreams for an unknown amount of time, she subconsciously reached out to her side.

It was still empty.

Yu Luo’s eyes snapped open. She was instantly awake.

She pushed herself up and looked around the guest room’s decor, bewildered.

A few seconds later, she remembered something.

Acting on a faint suspicion, she got out of bed and pushed open the guest room door.

Looking down, she saw, just as she’d expected, Qi Song squatting by the door like a large dog, hugging her knees with her chin resting on them.

Her long, dark hair was splayed over her shoulders and back, gently brushing against the nightgown she wore—a nightgown that belonged to Yu Luo.

Hearing the sound, Qi Song slowly looked up at her.

A certain daze still lingered in her eyes, followed by a flicker of panic. She rushed to explain before Yu Luo could speak, “Jiejie, I was just…”

She had just had her first taste of a deep, tangled kiss, and her mind was filled with an excitement she couldn’t shake.

And the woman was sleeping soundly in her arms, her sleeping face so pure. The fiery memories and fantasies in her heart made her feel as if she were desecrating her.

But she still couldn’t help but think about it.

So she found a place to hide, to quietly savor it by herself.

But she couldn’t bear to be too far from Yu Luo, so she ended up squatting at the door to the room.

Bit by bit, she replayed the entire process of their kiss in minute detail.

And she had been caught in the act again.

At the entrance to the guest room, in the boundless silence of the night, Yu Luo stood, looking at Qi Song, who was squatting by the door.

In that instant, a sense of déjà vu spanning five years washed over her.

A surging tide of emotion suddenly welled up in her eyes.

She would probably never forget this moment for the rest of her life.

Because—

“Qi Song, do you remember, back then…”

You probably don’t remember.

Yu Luo’s eyes filled with tears. Lost in her memories, she recounted slowly and gently:

“The first time we kissed, you also snuck out of the room in the middle of the night and squatted by the door, and I found you when I happened to wake up.”

She was crying and smiling at the same time. “You also rushed to explain yourself before I could say anything.”

“Later, when I wanted to pull you away, you refused—”

“You said, 「But I haven’t savored it enough yet」.”

Yu Luo’s words spun in Qi Song’s mind, seeming to stir up some bittersweet memory.

Yet it was as if they left no trace.

Because it felt foreign to her—Back then?

What was back then, and what was now?

Ever since Yu Luo had come to her room tonight, her heart had been burning so intensely that she felt she had lost herself. She only knew Yu Luo; she didn’t even care who she herself was.

Besides, wasn’t she just her? Hadn’t she always been her?

In a state of muddled, confused thought, she vaguely heard the woman say, “Come back to bed with me.”

Qi Song’s brow furrowed slightly.

She had only just finished savoring it three times. She didn’t want to sleep yet.

So she said subconsciously:

“But I haven’t savored it enough yet.”

The author has something to say:

Fate, it’s all fate. I personally really love this chapter.

There are three reasons for the intensity of Qi Song’s emotions in these two chapters. One is the susceptible period, the second is their past, and the third is another important point that will be revealed later. In short, if you feel this part is a bit fast or abrupt on the first read, you probably won’t feel that way when you reread it after knowing the whole story. This novel might have plot/logic bugs (the author is a bit silly and has a strange way of thinking), but there won’t be many emotional logic bugs.

Also, although this is an ABO story, I don’t want to write an Alpha who loses control of her physiological desires like an animal thinking with its glands whenever the susceptible period hits. I’d rather write an Alpha who, during her susceptible period, is like a puppy who can’t control the fiery emotional desires in her subconscious. My personal xp6—eternal pure love (raises arms and shouts). (But this doesn’t mean Qi Song isn’t capable.) (She will be very capable later on.)
