After Agreeing to Go on a Parenting Show With My Omega Ex-Girlfriend – Chapter 20

Close-Contact Protection.

As the fish that had been caught, Qi Song was still wondering where the fish in Yu Luo’s words was.

However, in the very next second, the float suddenly bobbed up and down.

The hand holding the fishing rod felt the force of the bite on the other end. Yu Luo’s eyes lit up slightly, “A bite?”

Qi Song said “En,” her voice still carrying a slight, unpresentable hoarseness: “Here, turn this to reel it in.”

She lifted the fishing rod upwards, while Yu Luo turned the handle on the side. A blue-black fish, biting the hook, swung out of the water, tracing an arc in the air.

Qi Song placed the fish into the bucket filled with water. Yu Luo lifted her eyes and smiled at her: “This is the first fish we’ve caught together.”

The Omega’s eyes rippled with clear joy, like the ripples spreading on the river surface beside them.

Only young couples would be so fixated on caring about every ‘first’ they shared, but they were just in a cooperative relationship.

After thinking this through, Qi Song, who had been finding it difficult to pull away from a certain heat just a moment ago, instantly calmed down and lightly pressed her lips together.

Taotao stood by the bucket looking at the fish, “What kind of fish is this?”

Qi Song realized it belatedly. Although they had caught a fish, this didn’t seem to be a crucian carp.

She took out the recipe book, looked at the illustration on it, and carefully compared the features.

“This is not a crucian carp.” She came to a conclusion.

Just then, a villager happened to pass by. He walked over and glanced at the fish in their bucket, “This is a culter1. You guys want to catch crucian carp?”

“Yes.”

The villager shook his head: “The crucian carp in the village are famously delicious around here. A while ago, many people came to fish every day, and they’ve almost all been caught. I was here fishing for a whole day yesterday and didn’t catch a single crucian carp.”

The villager left after delivering this regrettable news.

“Prepare yourself mentally,” Qi Song sighed and said to Yu Luo, “Tonight we might have to stay in that house with the bugs.”

Yu Luo met her gaze, and after a few seconds of silence, she slowly curved her lips into a smile and said: “I, on the other hand, think the one who needs to be mentally prepared is you.”

Qi Song was instantly reminded of what Yu Luo had said before: ‘If we move in there, I’ll have to ask you to hold me while I sleep and help me get rid of the bugs.’

She smiled: “I think we can still try a little harder.”

After speaking, she turned and threw herself into fishing, praying that this great river would grant her two crucian carp.

Just a few minutes ago, she had an unspeakable thought about Yu Luo. They absolutely, positively could not sleep while holding each other tonight.

Unfortunately, the god of luck did not favor her. For the entire afternoon, she didn’t even see the shadow of a crucian carp.

In the sunset, Yu Luo’s fair face was dyed a warm color by the vast evening glow. However, in Qi Song’s eyes, her smile made one’s heart turn cold:

“Don’t struggle anymore, wife.”

Qi Song: “…”

The family of three returned with a single culter. When they encountered other guests and exchanged updates on their tasks, they received sympathetic looks.

“I just saw that Ren Zhi’s group has already finished cooking their dishes,” Xiao Hua said. “Your luck isn’t very good, drawing this difficult recipe.”

After Xiao Hua left, Taotao pinched her fingers, her expression a little self-reproachful.

She looked up at her Mommy and Mama, apologizing in a soft, glutinous voice: “Mommy, Mama, I’m sorry, I was the one who chose it…”

Yu Luo’s heart softened. She bent down and pulled her into her arms: “Our cub did nothing wrong. The pink recipe you chose, both Mama and I thought it was very pretty.”

“That’s right.” Qi Song also comforted the pitiful little cub, “Thanks to Taotao, our family even got to experience fishing together by the river.”

Taotao said: “But we can only live in that house with the grass.”

Yu Luo asked patiently: “Didn’t you like this house a lot before?”

Taotao’s little eyebrows twisted in conflict as she said seriously: “But Mommy is afraid of bugs, so I don’t want to like this house anymore.”

What a considerate cub. Yu Luo, moved, kissed her on the cheek and said with a smile: “It’s alright, I’ll have Mama’s close-contact protection.”

Qi Song: “…”

Protection is protection, why emphasize ‘close-contact’?

In the end, Qi Song still went to the kitchen and deliciously cooked the first fish she and Yu Luo had caught, and the family of three shared it.

They didn’t even catch a crucian carp, so it was only natural that their family ranked last. They could only move from the village chief’s house to that simple and dilapidated house.

The house was short and small, the paint on the outer walls was cracked, revealing the brownish-red bricks inside.

The wooden door was broken and mottled, and it even made a “creak” sound when opened.

Yu Luo stood at the doorway. Before she even entered, she was frightened by a bug that flew out from inside the house, and she pursed her lips and quietly burrowed into Qi Song’s arms.

“…” Qi Song glanced at the Omega pressed tightly against her, unable to tell for a moment whether this person was genuinely this scared or was taking the opportunity to take advantage of her.

It was most likely a bit of both.

In front of the camera, she conscientiously performed their loving relationship, raising a hand to rest on Yu Luo’s back, holding the person in an embrace.

Only after entering the house did they discover that the inside was even worse than in the photos.

A cement floor without tiles, walls without white paint. The lighting was so dim it was as if the lampshade held only a hardworking firefly, and spiderwebs were spread across every corner.

On the floor, on the cabinets, and on the walls, unknown bugs would swagger by from time to time.

Yu Luo tightened her arms around Qi Song’s waist.

She murmured in Qi Song’s ear, her cool and clear voice tinged with a bit of innocence: “It looks like I won’t be able to let go of you at all tonight.”

Qi Song’s throat tightened.

When they were fishing in the afternoon, the impulse to bite Yu Luo’s neck, although it only lasted for a few seconds, was still tormenting her Alpha-virtue even now.

And with their soft bodies pressed tightly together at this moment, there was also a subtle feeling.

She felt that to Yu Luo, she was a more dangerous existence than the bugs.

Thus, after putting down the luggage, Qi Song resolutely made an upright decision.

She looked at the weak Omega in her arms who couldn’t walk independently, and at the cub who was eager to help Mommy get rid of the bugs, and proposed: “How about you and the cub take a walk on the road next to us first? I’m going out for a bit.”

Yu Luo looked up at her: “What are you going to do?”

“You’ll know in a little while.” Qi Song decided to be mysterious.

Yu Luo blinked and chose to magnanimously let go of Qi Song for the time being.

In any case, she would have a legitimate reason to occupy the other person tonight, so this little while didn’t matter.

Yu Luo was in an excellent mood. Holding Taotao’s hand, she admired the pastoral scenery on the small road next to the house, contemplating what position to use for sleeping while holding each other tonight, and she had already listed out a plan.

Up ahead, Xiao Hua’s family happened to be walking over from the other direction and greeted them.

“Teacher Yu, Teacher Qi is so considerate towards you,” Xiao Hua said with a beaming smile.

“Hm?” Yu Luo instantly had a premonition.

“We just ran into her on the road. She was borrowing a mosquito net2 and insect repellent from the villagers, saying her wife is afraid of bugs.”

“…” Yu Luo asked, holding on to a sliver of hope: “So, did she manage to borrow them?”

Xiao Hua told her the “good news”: “She borrowed them all.”

Taotao’s eyes lit up, and she looked up at her Mommy: “That’s great! Tonight Mommy won’t need Mama’s close-contact protection.”

Yu Luo looked at her own cub’s innocent smile, her eyelashes trembling slightly.

She heard the plans she had just listed shatter with a crackling sound.

But it didn’t matter, she still had PLAN B.

The author has something to say:

Realized that everything has been quite innocent and wholesome so far. Don’t worry, Teacher Yu hasn’t started to exert her power yet hhh
