Not Allowed to Hug?
Qi Song’s soul felt as if it had been split in two.
One half, a sober outsider floating in the air, was both annoyed at Yu Luo for high-handedly claiming her first kiss and filled with the kind of frustration that could only be described as hating iron for not becoming steel1—furious at her own frozen self for failing to act.
The other half, a dizzy and bewildered insider, regrettably failed to come to its senses in time.
Because Yu Luo had told her not to be fierce, Qi Song truly couldn’t bring herself to be fierce anymore.
She stood before Yu Luo like some innocent young thing whose soul had been snatched by a fox spirit, her pheromone concentration remaining stubbornly high, the tips of her ears honestly growing hot.
And the fox spirit herself was, naturally, practiced and composed, likely having succeeded countless times before; after all, even her pheromones showed no fluctuation.
Only when the woman pushed her luck, reaching out as if to embrace her, did Qi Song snap out of her daze and push the other away.
She furrowed her brow and said in a low voice, “Not allowed to hug.”
After a pause, she emphasized, “And not allowed to kiss.”
She thought she was warning Yu Luo in a cold tone, but only after speaking did she belatedly realize her words held nothing but a faint sense of grievance, and even a hint of being wronged.
To a discerning listener, it might even sound like she was whining coquettishly to her girlfriend.
And perhaps Yu Luo was that discerning listener, because not only was there not the slightest trace of disappointment on her face at being rejected, but she was also staring at Qi Song without blinking, her gaze like she had discovered a priceless treasure.
She couldn’t help but start to laugh, her beautiful eyes seeming to hold the stars: “Qi Song, the way you look while rejecting me, yet can’t stop releasing your pheromones… is so cute…”
After a pause, she bit her lip, “It makes me… hmm, a little…”
The Omega’s ambiguous pause, along with her shyly fluttering eyelashes, gave Qi Song the distinct intuition that the second half of that sentence was a dangerous trap.
Alarm bells instantly rang in her mind.
She practically fled in disarray. Before the woman could finish speaking, she pushed her away and turned to leave.
Lying back down next to the soundly sleeping cub, she closed her eyes and feigned falling asleep instantly.
Yu Luo gazed at that figure, slowly raising a hand to lightly stroke a spot on the back of her own neck, murmuring to herself between slightly quickened breaths, “Not allowed to hug, not allowed to kiss?”
“…You’d better mean that,” she hummed with a low laugh.
Qi Song steadied her own heartbeat and body temperature, feeling her pheromone concentration slowly drop back to 3%.
Then, because she inadvertently recalled the sensation from just now, it leaped back up to 4%.
If one were to chart the changes in her pheromone concentration, it would probably be a comically fluctuating curve.
Qi Song couldn’t figure it out. How could a book transmigration be like this?
She had to face the massive debt and mess left behind by the original owner, face being cheated on, and was even forced by her predicament to cooperate with the scummy woman and act on a parenting reality show.
And if that was all, it would be one thing.
What was even more infuriating was that the original owner’s love-addled brain was growing freely, and her body’s instincts were impossible to shake off—
The moment Yu Luo moved just a little closer, her glands would release pheromones as if in celebration.
When Yu Luo patted her head, it was as if every pore in her body opened up in comfort and pleasure.
And a single kiss rendered her unable to even get angry.
Yu Luo had the original owner wrapped around her finger, and yet she, the transmigrator, seemed unable to escape this cage that the original owner had so willingly entered.
Why?
Qi Song closed her eyes, her mind partly filled with the frustration of not understanding, and partly with nostalgia for the glamorous life she had before transmigrating.
And a very large part was unavoidably replaying that moment of intimacy from before.
Warm, as if it had touched her very soul.
When Qi Song woke up, she felt something nestled in her arms.
In her lingering drowsiness, she vaguely wondered, Is that Taotao? After all, she and Taotao were sleeping next to each other.
However, as her consciousness gradually cleared and her senses returned, she discovered that what was pressed against her were soft, mature curves, and what lingered in her nose was the woman’s tranquil fragrance.
That was…
Startled, Qi Song looked down and was met with the sight of an Omega’s long, black, curly hair.
The woman’s slender white arms extended from the sleeves of her loose pajamas to circle around her waist, her face was buried deep in the crook of her neck, and her long legs were even crossed over hers.
An exceptionally clingy posture.
Being held like this was like embracing a soft, fragrant cloud.
Qi Song’s throat tightened, her breathing becoming difficult.
She released the hand that had been on Yu Luo’s back, trying to destroy the evidence, and quietly began to retreat.
But the person in her arms seemed to subconsciously tighten her grip, pressing her entire body even closer, making the sensation of two soft mounds being squeezed against her chest even clearer.
Qi Song’s very soul was about to tremble. No longer caring if she would wake the other person, she began to frantically try and pry Yu Luo off of her.
“Don’t move.”
The Omega’s voice was no longer its usual cool and clear self; it carried the stickiness and slight hoarseness of someone who has just woken up.
Seeing that Qi Song had truly stopped moving, she seemed somewhat satisfied.
She methodically wrapped herself around the person again, her lips opening and closing by Qi Song’s ear:
“Not allowed to hug?”
Her voice held a hint of an unreadable smile, like a tease, yet also like a warning:
“But the show’s cameras are already rolling. Be a little more professional, wife.”
Qi Song instantly understood the bad woman’s ploy—
Last night you said no hugging? Well, now in front of the cameras, it’s your contractual obligation to play the part of a loving couple with me.
Money was hard to earn, and the act was hard to perform.
Qi Song closed her eyes, but what she felt wasn’t indignation, but a strange, inexplicable desire to win.
She was sick of always being suppressed by Yu Luo, whether by the contract or other means. She was sick of how her pheromones would spin out of control every time, while Yu Luo always remained perfectly calm and composed, able to walk away unscathed.
Even when she was deliberately teasing someone, that cool and dignified air seemed etched into her very bones, never faltering, forever poised. As if she knew for a fact that the original owner loved her enough to be willingly toyed with, even after being broken up with, even after being betrayed.
To not love, yet still be entangled—she felt indignant on the original owner’s behalf.
Therefore, even if just for a moment, she wanted to shatter Yu Luo’s composure.
The moment this thought appeared, a method to achieve it seemed to spontaneously form in her mind, as if she naturally understood how to make this woman lose her cool.
So, Qi Song reached out and stroked Yu Luo’s long, curly hair, slowly smoothing it down until she pushed aside the hair by her right ear, revealing a fair earlobe.
In the morning sunlight, it was as translucent as jade, with a faint pink hue.
Qi Song’s gaze darkened. Her breathing hitched, she lowered her head, and viciously bit down.
Instantly, just as Qi Song had wished, the person in her arms’ composure was easily shattered into a million pieces. But—
Caught off guard by the bite to her sensitive spot, the Omega subconsciously dug her fingers into the skin of her waist.
“Ngh…” Her crimson lips parted slightly as she let out a stifled gasp, the sound that accompanied it stripped of its coolness, making it exceptionally alluring.
They were pressed so close that every tiny movement echoed by Qi Song’s ear, carrying that tranquil fragrance that pricked at a certain spot on the back of her neck, making it feel hot and swollen.
It was already impossible to tell who was the one who had lost their composure.
After a moment of silence, Yu Luo lifted her head. Her eyes seemed to glisten with moisture, the corners tinged with pink, brimming with charm.
She bit her lip slightly, an expression of utter innocence and helplessness on her face.
Yet, when she spoke, it was with a low, seductive laugh: “Only biting here?”
The author has something to say:
Qi Song: I will shatter her composure!
Yu Luo: There’s such a good thing?
